"We got another 0-8-4."
Coulson tells them a few weeks later and Skye starts to wonder if their team leader is only picking 0-8-4 missions from now on. So far, no one has realised the mission details for the partner up with D.O.S.A is gone, which have made Skye somewhat calm. She is however still careful and on her guard for anything. This is the first mission Coulson is taking on since the memory wipe, after learning that Skye was sick, he had hold back on the missions, to make sure she is feeling better and that no one else got sick.
"Do we have any type of information about what it might be this time?"
Ward asks and Skye rolls her eyes, like there was any change at that. Looking at Coulson, she can tell that he doesn't know much either.
"All we know, there has been some strange sittings. HQ wants us to go in and figure out what is going on."
Coulson explains, and Skye gets a bad feeling about all of this. Strange sittings sound like something S.H.I.E.L.D would deal with, but something tells her that the reason for all of this is something that should be locked up in the Library. Hopping that she will have time to investigate things as they head for the destination, she stays in her corner.
"So, what's the plan here?"
May asks, her arms crossed, and Skye can tell she isn't all to happy over this. A 0-8-4 mission is always a danger, and they never know what they are getting themselves into before reaching the location. Anything can be an 0-8-4 after all.
"We start with surveillance, walk around, try and figure out what we are dealing with before we go blasting. We don't want to anger something if we can help it."
Coulson answer, making May nod her head and Skye likes this plane. If they are splitting up it will be easier for her to either get the object and hide it for the Librarians or get in contact with them and make them get it before they do.
"I'll send you the co-ordinates."
Coulson starts to order, his head turned towards May who nods once more before leaving the room.
"Do you think you can try and dig up some information about the place we area headed for?"
He then asks, turning his attention towards Skye who smiles. Now this is the opportunity she really needed.
"In my sleep."
She tells him with a grin before following May's example and left the room after that. She heads directly for her bunk, closing and locking her door as she enters it. Placing herself on her bed, back turned towards the wall for support, she opens her laptop once more. She can see that Coulson have sent over the few things he has been able to find, and Skye starts to dig deeper.
The town in question seem to have had a lot of problems over the years, and she was wondering why S.H.I.E.L.D or any other organisation haven't investigated the matter before. But reading a few newspapers from that town, Skye realises what is going on. This was some strange things that should be high on the Library's list. Closing her laptop, she moves from her bed and heads for the bathroom, she needs a place to make her call alone, and using the mirror in the bathroom is even better than making a phone call.
Entering the bathroom, she makes sure to properly lock the door before turning towards the mirror. Taking in a deep breath to calm herself, Skye turns her head towards the mirror. A feeling of Déjà vu strikes her, and she can't help but to smile, looking beyond her own reflection she concentrates.
"Flynn, are you there?"
She asks, and when she doesn't get an answer, she rolls her eyes. She should have known it wouldn't be this easy.
"Eve, Jenkins, Cassandra, Jake, Ezekiel... is anyone there?"
She then asks, and when no reply comes, Skye can't help but to grow worried.
"Hey, where are you all?"
She asks, hopping that either of them hears her this time around.
"Skye?"
Seeing how her own reflection morphs into Nicole's, Skye can't help but take one step back. Nicole is the last person she would expect to answer her, Skye had been so sure Nicole would have returned down, either on her own free will or Jenkins would force her.
"Nicole? You're not in your cell?"
She knows she shouldn't be asking this question; she has other things she should think about but seeing Nicole's face in the mirror instead of her own, well... it was a surprise she didn't see coming.
"They took a vote; Eve is going to focus more on Flynn. I will handle the younger Librarians."
Nicole answer with a grin, making Skye roll her eyes. But she can't help to smile, happy that Nicole won't have to spend time down in that cell anymore. And if anyone will be able to pull out exactly what the Librarians needs, its her. After all, she had done some amazing work on Flynn when he first started out as a Librarian. Shaking this from her mind for the time being, Skye forces herself to remember why she called in the first place.
"Alright, we can talk about all of this later. I did call for a reason, now where is everyone?"
"Somewhere in the Library I would think, haven't really seen or heard any of them in a while. I should probably be worried about that right?"
Nicole tells her and Skye rolls her eyes at this, yeah, that is something she should be worried about. Then again, the Library keeps growing and it's quite easy to get lost in there. No one really knows how much is in there and how large the building really is, it's a good thing it doesn't exist in this dimension.
"Well, you should probably check the clipping-book, at least I hope it has a mission for you all, because we are heading out on a mission to find an object that should really be hidden away in the Library."
Skye explains and she can see how Nicole looks towards the side, Skye guessing she is looking towards the book.
"Send me the place just in case, I will round up the rest of the team and head out as fast as possible. Anything else I should know about beforehand?"
Nicole tells her, turning her attention back to Skye once more.
"The spell worked, they have no idea of what happened that day, or the fact that I betrayed them before that."
She tells her and Nicole nods her head, she can see a hint of worry in her eyes however and Skye knows she wants to ask more. But Nicole keeps her mouth closed on that part.
"Good, let's hope we don't run into one another out there."
Nicole tells her and Skye watches her own reflection only seconds later. Taking in a deep breath, she pulls out her phone and sends the information Nicole will need if the clipping-book doesn't tell them anything. Putting her phone back into her pocket, she leaves the bathroom, heading for her bunk once more.
