The clock tower residing over the centre of Storybroke had stopped moving once more, right as the hand ticked over to midnight. The only two awake at this time Emma Swan and Killian Jones had failed to notice this given their current predicament. Emma paced up and down the lounge a bemused look on her face. Meanwhile Killian was over by the tree checking on the health of the still rosy cheeked man lying on their floor.
"Santa is real to" Emma said shaking her head.
"Daughter of Snow white and Prince charming" Killian replied with a smirk.
"Right, I know" Emma said somewhat frustrated.
"His fine, just knocked out" Killian stated letting out a sigh of relief.
Killian then gestured to Emma to help him move Santa to a more comfortable place on the floor. Quickly she walked over, and they both heaved barely moving the man a few centimetres. Giving it one last big pull, they managed to slide Santa across the floor to a flatter surface. Not paying attention to what was behind them they knocked over a tall lamp. With a loud crash it hit the ground and the globe cracked breaking, the couple jumped clinging to each other. The sudden noise causing the pair to scream.
"Now Henry is defiantly awake" Emma said trying not to laugh.
"How we going to explain this?" Killian replied pointing to the still unconscious Santa.
After another minute went by with no sound coming from upstairs, no calls for his parents or footsteps on the stairwell. Emma became less concerned with the unconscious man lying on her floor and what was going on upstairs. Stomach in knots Emma took off running up the stairs to her son's room bursting through the door. Sighing with relief to see Henry sound asleep in his bed with a slight smile on his face. Emma came closer knowing if anyone could help them save Christmas it was her son. Gently Emma sat down on the side of his bed reaching for his shoulder and patting it.
"Henry" Emma said in a whisper.
Henry eyelids didn't even flutter while his breathing stayed steady and consistent, and his expression relaxed. His body did not move an inch, deep in a sombre sleep.
"Henry" Emma said louder and more desperate.
Another few seconds went by with absolutely no change to Henrys movements. Emma's breathing practically topped as the realisation sunk in.
"HENRY" Emma yelled now shaking him with more force.
"Emma what's happened?" Killian said pained appearing in the doorway.
"He won't wake" Emma responded petrified.
"Look" Killian said pointing at Henry's alarm clock.
On Henrys bedside table a small alarm clock sat the hands firmly placed on the twelve. Emma then ran out back across the hall grabbing her phone off the charger looking at the time. It too read twelve and she starred at it for a good minute or two dumbfounded, as the time did not change. Sharing concerned glances with Killian as they truth of their situation sunk in.
"Time it's stopped, again" Emma said.
"And a sleeping curse" Killian said his face scrunched up and his shoulders slumped.
