Chapter 6:

"You're right." Said Beckett. "This cigarette is laced with Enzeim, atleast we know how he keeps his doses on the Enzeim.". Sam was shocked. "Does he know?". Beckett shook his head. "I wouldn't say so.".

Sam sighs. "Do we know where he is?" she asked. John pats her on the shoulder. "We'll find him.". Sam nods. "Thanks, I need the help.". McKay then decided to try and cheer her up. "You need anything?". Sam looks at him. "No thanks.". She turned around walked for the lab she was lending. Inside she was inspecting some of the Wraith tech they found. But her trail of thoughts were ruined when Zuleika came in. "I am sorry to bother, but Doctor Weir believes you might want to see this.

It was a tape. A tape of Jack speaking in a form of threat. "Atlantis, I am Jack O'Neill, servant to the Mighty Queen Steelesun, you have been fighting a war you cannot win, if you leave the Pegasus Galaxy, you will be left to be, reject this offer, her armies will rain hell apon you and your end will be thrown apon you. Let this be your final warning, there is no room for peace.".

For the team, this seemed to be a threat. But Sam was working on something. "He didn't blink once. He only blinked when he said: Pegasus, left, hell and end.". She then wrote the words in order. "If you rearrange them and take the first letters of each word, it spells: Help.". "And he blinked twice at Mighty and end. Adding me.".

Help me.

He left a message. And Sam cracked it. Ronen then said: "What does that mean?". McKay jumped in. "Isn't it obvoius? He is calling for us. He needs us.". Sam pointed her pen at him. "Not Jack, he could be warning us about a culling or even an attack.". Elizabeth then listened to the tape. "He also blinked three times when he said Atlantis.".

Sam added it to the message. "Help me, Atlantis. Or he said: Help Atlantis.". McKay then said: "Is he saying that they plan on attacking Atlantis.". John then decided to take action. "We can't be too careful, I'll be in the chair room for encase.".

McKay then went for the door: "I will plan on a trap.". Ronen then pulled out his gun. "Just tell me who to shoot.".

For a whole day, the city was on alert. But nothing happened. Sam was starting to think that they were played. But her gut feeling was proved wrong when a Wraith Hive ship was spotted in the sky. Sam then spoke over her radio. "It's here, only neutralize it.". John nods. "Roger that.". He focused as many drones as possible on the Hive ship weapons.

Onboard the Hive ship was trouble. "We lost all weapons!" reported one of the Wraith. Jack was behind the control console. "Transfer all secondary systems to haul regeneration. Send out a squad of Darts." He ordered. The Darts were deployed and jumpers were send out ass well.

But the battle didn't go good for the Wraith. "Sir! The ship is loosing altitude! We are going to crash into the ocean!". Jack mentally kicked himself. "Brace for impact!" he ordered. The ship crashed and it started to flood. The haul was damaged beyond repair. As it was flooding, the Wraith ran for their lives. But Jack only hooked on his mask, he modified it to work underwater. As the Hive ship floods, he made his escape. Taking a Ancients shield device, he activated it when on him amd swam for the surface.

A few hours later, he emerged from the surface at one of the city's underwater jumper bays. He grabbed the ladder and climbed out. Once on the dry, hard, cold floor, he rolled on his back and took the mask off. He breathed deep and chuckled lightly. But he had P-90's aimed on him.

"Great.".

Now he was in a cell, he was sitting on the floor, crossed leg. Eyes shut. His hands were on his knees. The door opened and Sam walked in. The guard lookee at her. "Ma'am, he sat like that for two hours now, I have no idea what he's doing.". Sam stood close to the bars. Jack sat for a few seconds until he spoke while eyes shut.

"So, the old me has found a way to leave a message without this me knowing?". Sam didn't answer. "Well, because of it, we saved atleast over thousands of lives, involving those on the mainland.". Jack got up. He faced her. "You can't hold me here, my queen will come for me, and you would be the first she feeds apon, I will make sure of it.".

Sam bravely took a step forward. "Let her, because what she doesn't know is, I don't give up on people I love." . Jack chuckled. "Oh, so now you love me?" he mocked. Sam walked around the cell slowly. "I always did, when I realized the mistake I made, and that Pete wasn't what I want, I left him, I was gonna tell you how I felt, give up my career for you.".

Jack just placed his hands behind his back. "Really? Well, shall I go get my resignation letter?" he asked sarcastically. Sam rolled her eyes. "Drop the act, I know you aren't this arogant, you are scared, hurt because of me.".

She was right. He looked at her, a tear ran down his face. "I loved you, I still do, but when I realized you weren't my destiny, I left, so you could have yours.". Sam rolled her eyes again. "Bullshit. You left because you were hurt.".

Jack looks at her. "Yes, but, when the Wraith took me, I had no choice, but to except my fate. The pain of loosing your life within a snap of your fingers! And to regain it again, it's a pain you can only withstand for a limit of time. I had no choice but to except. Nature, is a pain in the ass.".

Sam knew he was right. "It's not too late, please, let us help you." She begged. "Then what? The lives I took, the people I chose for Steelesun to feed on? Are they supposed to forgive me!?" he asked. Sam placed her hand on the cell bars. "Don't let it define you, let me help.".

Jack stepped forward to her, her heart fluttered for a second. But whe Jack was only a few feet away, he smirked at her. "Pathetic, I expected more from fearless Samantha Carter.".

He played her again, but did he? She knew he would pull such a stunt. "No, it is you who was played. Do feel the desire to smoke?" she asked. Holding one of the Enzeim paced cigarettes up.

Jack's brow was sweating. He reached out but the shield blocked it. With a angry and desperate screeched, he punched and kicked the shield. "Damn you!". Sam turned around and walked away, tossing the cigarette on the floor only inches from the shield's dome.
