A/N: Thank you guys for all the kind words. They really motivated me to keep going with the story despite my life and job keeping me busy outside of this hobby. I will try to reply to as many as possible when I have free time but just know your encouragement is really appreciated.

Also, just wondering but do you guys want to see me follow the normal story arch as much as possible or prefer a massive diversion from it. Obviously, the inclusion of an OC means the story arch will definitely change but I was wondering how far off canon you guys would prefer me to go. Because I do have some ideas get away from canon as much as, probably more than in 'Percy Jackson and the Game' in its latter stages, which is great by the way, not that you all haven't read that all ready :). I was just wondering which direction you guys would prefer I go in.

Let me know if you have a preference and dont forget to leave a review :).

Also, I own nothing but my OC.

You have slept in a comfortable bed. 100% of HP and MP restored. All negative status effects and ailments removed.

I slowly opened my eyes, surprised I was still alive. I was lying face up on a bed inside what looked like a golden tent. My body felt slightly stiff but other than that everything felt ok as I got up and had a look around the tent I was in. It was surprisingly big, 30 feet by 30 feet, and had a king sized bed, closet, a standing mirror, what looked looked like a closed off space for a bathroom, and 2 bean bag chairs off to the side. The bed even had a 60-inch flat screen attached to the end of it.

The only thing that ruined it was the colour. Everything was gold, and I mean everything. I even somehow had gold silk pyjamas on with a black letter A stitched on it in cursive where my left peck was. No points for guessing who the A stands for. The gold was actually causing me a headache so I decided to exit the tent. Undoing the flap, I walked out into a forest clearing. It seemed to be mid morning, around 10 am, and there was a slight breeze, yet I felt comfortable in my pyjamas. In front of me sat the same man as I saw in the alleyway sitting on a white sofa, which looked completely out of place, grinning at me. He was wearing a white tank top, showing off his toned but lean body, and a pair of blue jeans. I didn't really need to but I used Observe on him anyway.

Apollo, God of the Sun

Lvl- ?

I should have known he was a god as soon as I saw him the first time. His looks were just too perfect not to be one. He waved his hand and a recliner appeared opposite him.

"Hey kid nice to see your awake. Have a seat." He said cheerfully. I decided to play it safe first. No matter his demeanour, he was still an Olympian.

I walked towards him before bowing. "Lord Apollo," I said respectfully. Apollo seemed surprised I recognised him, raising an eyebrow, before his megawatt smile returned.

"So you know your stuff. Stand up and take a seat kiddo. I don't need all the bowing and Lord crap. I would ask what gave me away but I've never been one for subtlety." He said as I stood back up and took a seat.

I chuckled at his words before replying, "Yeah, the gold and the letter A stitched on the pyjamas kinda gives you away. Thank you for the clothes by the way but it's not really my style."

"Hmm, I guessed as much but you can't blame a guy for trying to broaden your horizons." Apollo said as he waived his and and suddenly my black clothes appeared on me.

"Thank you for healing me Apollo."

"No problem kid. Just tell me your name and I'll call us even." He replied, waving away my apology.

"Phoenix but you can just call me Nick."

"All right Nick, nice to meet you. Quite the arm and aim you got as well, the way you chucked the shield into the Cyclops, killing him instantly." Apollo commented.

I immediately reached my right hand over to my left wrist subconsciously, before breathing a sigh of relief at feeling and seeing my bracelet being back on.

"Don't worry Nicky, it reverted back to a bracelet as soon as you fell unconscious. Quite the weapon to. Where did you get it?" He asked.

"My… Dad gave it to me as a gift." I said hesitantly.

"Pluto?" He asked causing me to tense immediately and take stock of my surroundings once more, looking for any signs of a trap, something that didn't go unnoticed by Apollo as he started to laugh.

"Come on, man. If I was going to chain you up and bring you to Olympus, I could have done that whilst you were unconscious. Relax, I'm not your enemy."

"Sorry. It's just, how do you know my Dad's Pluto?" I asked, relaxing a little into my seat but staying on guard.

"Interesting story actually," Apollo said as his mood seemed to lift at the memory, "I was just on a night out clubbing when we… met. After you went unconscious I wanted to help you but I have to abide by the Ancient Laws. They are basica-"

"You cant help half-bloods or attack monsters unless they attack first and so on. Yeah I know about the laws." I interrupted. Apollo seemed to find my knowledge of the subject interesting but said nothing.

"Yeah, that's the jist of it." He continued, "luckily all it took was an insult about how fat his mother was for the idiot to attack me, which didn't end well for him. Then I brought you here, which I will explain later, and started to heal you. You had a few cracked ribs, concussion, heavy bruising and a broken left arm from taking the brunt of the force of the Cyclops swing. But weirdly you were healing yourself, faster then I had ever seen from a demigod. Within 2 and a half hours you were fully healed naturally without any nectar or ambrosia." He said with a little awe.

"So I wanted to see why that was. First, I decided to check if you were connected to my healing domain in some way to help me understand if you had any healing powers blessed upon you by others that sped up your recovery. Shockingly, you didn't. However, to see that, I also ended up seeing if and how your connected to my other domains. That's when I noticed something truly shocking. You aren't connected to my domain of Prophecies which means they have no control over you." He stated whilst staring at me, causing me to go wide eyed as I worried about the consequences of him figuring this out.

"The first time I had ever seen anything like this. Not even the Gods are free from the Fates influence and yet an 11-year-old child who nearly died to two Cyclops is. It truly is fascinating to think about." He mused to no one in particular. "As you may or may not understand, it was my duty to inform the council of this unique situation. After all, you do pose a bigger threat than even potentially the Titans of old. We use Prophecies to guide us and yet they could mean nothing if they involve you. Not to mention that we don't even know if you can die."

That confused me as I didn't understand exactly what he was insinuating, which he caught on to and elaborated for me. "What I mean by this is that when someone dies, Atropos cuts their life's thread. But another way of looking at it is that someone is only fated to die once Atropos cuts their thread. Even when a god fades, the Fates snip their strings. That brings into question, what about you? When I say you are free from Fate I don't actually know what that means. Yes, you can probably affect and stop prophecies from coming true, but what about your life's thread. If you are not controlled by the life the Fates wish to weave for you, does that mean they don't have your life's string? And if they don't, can you even die as long as Atropos has no string to cut and therefore no life to end? It's quite the conundrum that I doubt even Minerva has the answers for." Apollo said with a glint in his eye, as if he was actually going to test that theory just to piss the wisdom goddess.

"Why am I not a charred husk on the end of Jupiter's Masterbolt then?" I asked sceptically.

Apollo's held a mischievious smirk. "Maybe I thought you deserved the benefit of the doubt considering you were willing to sacrifice yourself for what you thought were two random mortals. I could tell you were as surprised to see a shield pop out of the bracelet as anyone."

"Forgive me Apollo but I'm having a hard time you would risk Jupiter's wrath for a kid you don't know just because he was trying to protect you from two monsters you could kill with a wave of your hand." I replied with a raised eyebrow. Apollo was clearly holding something back.

Apollo laughed at that. "Your very intuitive for a kid, you know that Nicky. Ok, maybe that's not the main reason why but I was impressed by your selflessness." I waited for him to continue because he was not distracting me and changing the subject, causing him to sigh. "Fine kiddo, I see potential in you and I think we can both help each other. You managed to kill a full grown Cyclops and injure another with what was clearly no training and just a shield. I can also sense the raw power you have flowing off you, greater than I have ever seen on someone at your age. Not to mention how interesting it will be to watch how a man who is ignored by the Fates life will play out. I can offer to train you and offer a patron on the council, giving you quite a bit of protection."

"A patron? And I still don't know what you get out of this?" I asked immediately.

"If you let me finish," He said with a shake of the head causing me to look a bit sheepishly at him, "I kinda have my own problems at the moment regarding Father. He has been breathing down my neck about my duties. See, us god's jobs are basically to maintain our domains. Apparently, since I can split my essence and be at multiple places at once, driving the sun chariot isn't enough work. It's not my fault I looked after my domains so well that they basically run themselves at this point. Modern medicine is more advanced than ever, my oracle has been cursed into being mummified so doesn't really need checking up on as I can't do anything to help, music is taking over the world with its popularity, light is a constant that needs no overlook, and archery is known as the most graceful and popular sport known to man. The only other one is poetry and to be honest I can only spend around 20 minutes a month around hipsters before I want to fade. Plus, they just don't understand the beauty of the Haiku." He complained like a child, which was highly amusing. Other than the Haiku and Archery opinions, which I didn't want to burst his bubble about, I couldn't help but agree with the poor guy.

"Anyway, that's where you come in. I want to train you and… I don't know, hunt monsters and stuff with you. In return, I get the big man upstairs off my back by teaching the next generation." He suggested with a megawatt smile.

"You are aware this is just a rip off of Diana's Huntresses right?" I replied.

"Oh my me, what a great idea. We can have our own squad of guys to go do missions and hunting and stuff. I can teach other valuable lessons like how to pick up women, the best male skin care routines, th-" He said excitedly, and I swear the sun got brighter as he talked. I cut him off before he could get too worked up.

"No, absolutely not. Both you and I will get castrated the moment Diana finds out about this idea and I quite like having a dick, even if I wont use it for quite a while. I imagine you do too considering how we met. Also, I'm already planning on just going to the Underworld and staying with my father which is enough protection for me." I interrupted.

He pouted at the shooting down of his idea before frowning at my plan. "You know that's a bad idea right. The moment Jupiter finds out Pluto has a hidden child he is keeping in the underworld; he will declare war on him because of the Great Prophecy. You would cause untold amounts of destruction to the mortal and divine world and I doubt you would want that." He pointed out.

I was surprised he let slip about the prophecy since that was supposed to be a secret. At least, I thought he let it slip at first. But I noticed he slightly tensed up right before he said it, meaning he knew what he was about to mention. Apollo's eyes seemed to be analysing me at this point as well, as if looking for a reaction off of me or waiting for me to ask about it. But that doesn't make sense. The gods kept it from Percy until a week before he turned 16, and as relaxed a god as Apollo is, he wouldn't just make this mistake by accident. Not to mention him not even questioning my knowledge on Roman gods and the divine world, something no god would just pass over. I'm an unknown he's not even questioning, but why? Unless his domain of prophecy is a lot more powerful at showing him things then I thought. But he already said that I am not affected by Fate-… The Damn Fates. The creator of the system said they would vouch and protect me from the gods. I returned my attention to Apollo, who still had a scrutinising look that he was trying to hide with a grin.

"How much did the Three Fates tell you?" I asked in a cold tone. I don't like being played or lied to.

"Your smarter than I first gave you credit for." Apollo replied with an impressed look after getting over his surprise at my question. "Look, to be honest I tried to go through your memories when you were asleep to see what your story was but there seemed to be a mental block around you. That caused a problem for me because the only beings that could block me are ones stronger than me or another member of the Olympian council. Which meant it was my duty to bring you to Olympus, either to return you to whoever your protector or patron was, or because you work for a hidden enemy of unknown strength. Fortunately for us, the Fates paid a visit as I was about to take you to Olympus, and told me part of your story and that they were the ones protecting you." Apollo explained.

His story made sense. The creator of the gaming system told me that the Moirai would cover for me when questions came up. It did bring up more questions about the fact that the being was powerful enough to boss the three weavers of fate around. But I knew answers were still long off. But now the question was how much did they tell Apollo and what did they tell him? They lied about the fact they were the ones protecting my mind after all. As if reading my thoughts, which I now knew he couldn't do because of Gamer's Mind, Apollo decided to take a leap of faith.

"Look Nick I actually want to help you. You're a good kid and if The Fates are vouching for you it means you have got a future full of trials and hardship. I'll even prove that I am only here to help. You're clearly worried about what I know and what secrets you need to keep that the Fates didn't let me know about. So instead of trying to fish around and get you to let slip about them, I'll tell you everything I was told about you. Your name is Phoenix Dhana. You were born in 1931 but were put into the Lotus Casino when you were 9 causing you to age a lot more slowly which is why you are only 11 years old now. You are a son of Pluto but won't be the child of the Prophecy even if you are the next kid to reach 16. You also know a lot about the divine world around you, even about the different Pantheons, not just the Greeks either. Although I don't know how many and would rather not know so I can have plausible deniability should their ever be a problem to be honest. I was also told that I can tell the council you have been blessed by the Moirai if you decide not to hide yourself and to tell them that killing you right now 'would not end well for them all.' And I swear on the Styx that is everything the Fates told me and that I only want to help you, only getting Jupiter off my back in return as well as a possible friend." He explained sincerely as Thunder boomed above.

I went wide-eyed at his oath as he just looked at me waiting for my reply. To try and scrounge for anymore information and swear that he only had good intentions, on the Styx no less, squashed any scepticism I had about Apollo. I know the Zeus and Poseidon broke their oaths about not having kids, but I doubt that they went unpunished since it was so rare that it happened and that Hades/Pluto never broke the oath. Plus, I had a feeling considering Apollo's domain of truth, it would be of a lot more importance if he ever broke an oath.

"Ok Apollo, I trust you," I said, causing Apollo to relax as well as his smile to return. "I'll happily be trained by you."

"Nice. For now, the tent you came from will be where you live since we will probably be on the move a lot for your training." He said pointing to where I came from, the tent now looking only 10x10 feet in measurement, meaning there was some sort of space distortion magic involved. "I'll be around quite a bit since I can split my essence with the Sun but due to my other duties you will also be by yourself quite often and I am not camping with you like my sister. I am a god with a palace after all. Cool?"

"Yeah," I replied, it was a pretty sweet deal to be fair. I ignored him telling me that he was busy with his domains after telling me he needed something to do considering his domains didn't need looking over. Just then I got a notification.

Phoenix Dhana is the demigod son of Pluto and Priya Dhana. Originally born in 1931, Nick was born and raised in London, England until his mother was killed during a german bombing run. Once Pluto felt her enter his domain, he immediately sent his wife Proserpina out to collect his son and hide him in the Lotus Casino until after the war. However, due to the Great Prophecy being issued Nick never left the casino for his own safety but is currently ready to finally face the world.

'Nice,' I thought to myself as I skimmed over the notifications before returning my attention to Apollo. "So when do we start training?"

As soon as I asked, Apollos smile disappeared, replace by the dignified and stoic face of what you would expect from one of the most powerful Roman Gods. I gulped. I knew I was about to go to hell and back, and the fact I was a child of the Underworld wasn't going to help me with that at all.

Two Months Later

I was crouched low, moving slowly through the bushes of Yosemite National Park, bow out and arrow resting against it as I scanned my surroundings. I followed the fresh tracks as I hunted my target, knowing that I was close. The forest was packed with wildlife and flora that has hindered my tracking before, causing me to lose the scent or be caught by surprise on more than one occasion by him. But I wasn't going to make that mistake again.

I followed the tracks until I came across a small clearing within the forest, trees completely surrounding it. I was about to bend down to analyse the footprint left behind when suddenly I froze. My senses were tingling, telling me that something wasn't right.

WARNING! PROJ-

I didn't wait for the full message, diving to the left into a roll as an arrow flew past where I was stood not a moment ago. I quickly turned to face the direction the attacker, firing at the tree that the arrow came from. My target knew it was coming though and easily jumped off a branch to avoid my arrow, landing nimbly on his feet. Using this distraction, I started making my way out of the clearing, dodging his arrows whilst firing my own off out of my quiver, trying to give myself enough time to get to the trees for cover. We each sidestepped, rolled, and dodged each others arrows for what felt like minutes, at a stalemate of sorts as I backed away towards a tree.

I finally bought enough time to lunge towards an oak, rolling behind it. I reached for an arrow in my quiver, knowing it was my last one. I needed to make this count. We hadn't hit each other once and this was my last chance. Fortunately, we had done this dance enough that I knew he only had one arrow left as well. I loaded up my arrow, pulling the string taught and taking a deep breath to calm myself. Then I made my move.

Fast as lightning, I rolled out of cover, coming up on one knee as I aimed straight for my enemy's chest, releasing my last arrow. My movement caught him by surprise, meaning we released our arrows at the same despite him knowing exactly where I was hiding with his bow drawn. Both our shots flew past each other, the fletching's almost touching each other as they shot true, both hitting there intended targets. He was sent staggering whilst I was sent onto my back due to my position as an arrow hit each of us straight in the sternum.

I groaned as I sat up straight, clutching my chest in pain where the blunt tipped arrow hit.

"Good job Nick. Your tracking has definitely gotten better and you knew I was close, even if I still got the first shot off first. You recovered well and that little roll at the end helped negate the advantage I had over you, causing us to hit each other at the same time resulting in a draw. Congrats on not losing for the first time!" Apollo said cheerfully and with pride.

We had done this training where I would track him down and have a ranged duel once a week, and I lost every time despite him decreasing his godly power so we were on a slightly more even playing field. Well, as even as you can get when facing a God of Archery with aeons more experience than you. I had been hit first every single time before this week, with my first draw coming today.

"I would've had a fairer chance of not being spotted by you if I didn't have to wear this damn beacon of light." I replied, pointing to the t-shirt I was wearing as I stood up. It was a shining golden tank top that had the words 'Apollo's Probatio' printing in large black print on the back.

"Nonsense. All my trainees have worn that." Apollo stated, waiving off my complaints. Meanwhile, he was wearing a camouflage jacket, hat and cargo pants as well as having two dark green lines of face paint under each eye, making him look absolutely ridiculous. But I had to admit it did help conceal him.

"What trainees? I thought I was the first one considering that part of the reason you chose to train me was to eventually get the king off your back."

"What? I'm the most helpful God about. I've trained all the great heroes." Apollo claimed.

"Name one trainee you've had?" I challenged.

"Well there was… but when we were in England I had… well never mind that but there was…"

"You struggling there?" I asked with a smirk. Apollo furrowed his brow in thought before his face lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Aha what about Phaethon. He's a legend of Myths." Apollo exclaimed.

"1) Your Roman so it it was your Greek counterpart that had any interaction with the kid. And 2) The guy's only famous for crashing your chariot and killing himself." I pointed out.

"Semantics. He's also apart of Roman Mythology so I can claim him," Apollo claimed, waving it off and walking back to my campsite. How does that even work anyway. One demigod, two separate godly parents according to Myths. I am a son of Pluto, not Hades so how is it that certain demigods of Greek mythology are also apart of the Roman. Was Heracles also called Hercules at the same time before he became a God with two personalities? The only answer is that I'm part of a religion that just decided to hit copy and paste, changing a few words in order to not get caught. Except they did a really bad job of it.

Despite his quirks, Apollo had actually been a great mentor for the last few months. He never forgot about me and always helped me with training and getting stronger. Although mostly we trained in hunting and archery, Apollo was a great swordsman as he had aeons of experience, so he was also training me in swordsmanship. Mostly greek style though rather than Roman as I was more suited for slashing and the unpredictability of Greek swordsmanship with my speed and agility. He gifted me an imperial gold Xiphos, a one of a kind weapon made by Hephaestus at the request of Apollo. Romans used gladii and spathas so an imperial gold Greek sword was not common. I never really felt very comfortable when sword fighting like I did with archery though.

I was currently storing it in my inventory as I did with most things when not using them as its easy and fast to pull out when needed. I discovered I had an unlimited storage space relatively early into my training with Apollo and I just told him it was a pocket dimension gifted to me. I didn't technically lie as it was a gift, I just let him assume it was from The Fates.

We started walking back to my current campsite when I had a look at my status:

Yeah, I had been grinding big time. I had even started reading in order to get over my natural Dyslexia due to being a demigod, something I had recently accomplished after levelling up my English Language skill enough. I was mostly content with my training and improvements but I knew I was a long way off where I needed to be to become a threat to the enemies of the Gods. I also wish I had more training in order to improve Swordsmanship but Apollo only had a few hours a day with me because of his other duties, time we used to improve my skill with a bow first and swordsmanship as a secondary concern.

I was currently a bit worried as on our way back, Apollo wasn't making any conversation with me and looked to be deep in thought, something that barely ever happened. He was probably thinking about how he would need to introduce me to the Olympian Council soon, we both agreed that I couldn't stay hidden for too long. It would only cause distrust and problems for us.

He was so distracted that I had to lightly pull him towards the campsite as he began to stray in the wrong direction. Upon reaching the clearing that housed my area of living, I sensed something was slightly off.

Something just felt wrong but I didn't know what so we kept walking to the hearth I had created in front of my tent, which Apollo conjured a sofa next to and sat down on, still distracted.

I, on the other hand, was on edge with no clear reason why. The camp looked exactly the same, Apollo didn't seem to sense anything and its not like I saw or heard anything. Wait. I couldn't hear anything other than the slight shaking of leaves due to a slight breeze. I was in one of the most densely populated forests in America and I couldn't even hear birds chirping.

I immediately willed my inventory to appear and scanned my surroundings. I squinted, analysing the forest around us as I slowly did a 360 degree turn. Just as I was about to relax I saw it. A bit of movement 35 feet away behind a tree. A glint of silver.

I immediately grabbed onto my bow inside my inventory and brought it out. But as soon as it appeared into the mortal realm, the twangs of multiple bowstrings being released came from in front of me as a dozen arrows were sent straight at me. I didn't have time to call out to Apollo or drop my bow and unsheathe my shield to hide behind. I watched the silver arrows fly straight at me, raising my right hand instinctually as a shivering feeling past through it.

Suddenly, all the shadows in the area flew in my direction as a black wall was formed in front of me. The sound of multiple arrows hitting a solid object rang out as I saw the wall in front of me start to weaken, becoming more and more intangible, reverting to its shadow state until it burst and the shadows dissipated almost as quickly as they formed.

New Sk-

I didn't even bother reading the notification because I knew what it was and was more enraptured by the fact one arrow had made it through my temporary defense. 3 inches in front of my eyes was a silver arrow that was about to blind me, caught in the hand of Apollo who was literally steaming in anger, smoke coming off his t shirt. He was staring straight out at the woods where the arrows came from, probably looking at the assailants that I could not currently see. And he looked down right murderous!
