What's up guys. Finally decided it was best if to hold a poll over who you wanted to see as a pairing with Phoenix. I do have a couple of vetoes though based on where the story is heading.

No Hestia and no Annabeth pairings as I have a plan for Phoenix's relationships with them both and that doesnt include romance. Also, no harems I plan on the final pairing being monogamous. I do plan on Phoenix having other romantic encounters beforehand though. Remember he's also Roman so it can be with literally any girl in either pantheon other than the two vetoed girls.

Just leave your suggestions in a Review and I will create a Poll with them on my account when I upload the next chapter. Hope you enjoy this chapter and dont forget to leave a review on your opinions of it as well

We quickly left after Mnemosyne opened her eyes again, shocked she couldn't get past Gamer's Mind's protections. Not that I was surprised. The system was created by something that could control the Fates, a god or titan wasn't getting close to getting through it. We walked out silently after I thanked both Titaness' for there help and I could feel the fury rolling off Apollo. I could understand it as well. He loved his kids and hated that he was limited in the help he could provide. To find out the gods could reward their children for helping them quite handsomely, no, had to reward them by Law if they requested something, and that fact was hidden must have pissed him off royally. He hated the idea that some of his kids thought they were ignored by him. It wasn't the case at all, its just any help he did provide had to be subtle and if certain others knew about it, Zeus might hear and throw a hissy fit and stop him.

For example, in the books it is said Poseidon gave Chiron Riptide for safekeeping until someone who was worthy/needed it should be given the sword. He probably gave Chiron the sword as soon as Percy was born, knowing he wouldn't be able to directly gift such a weapon to his son, especially since Percy shouldn't have existed. Instead he used an intermediary long before before Percy received the gift and since the sword was technically Zoe Nightshade's, then Heracles's, he could claim plausible deniability since Poseidon never had the blade made or should have had it in the first place. The same applies with Apollo. He does the little things, conjures up more targets and arrows at camp, makes a slightly better bow appear in the armoury when a new kid of his arrives. But he can never do anything that lets the child, and therefore possibly others, know that it was Apollo who did so. The same way Percy has no idea whether Poseidon was specifically thinking of him when he gave Riptide to Chiron.

It's truly sad they are restricted in this way, although there are positives at the same time. For example, what of the gods who don't care for their children enough to do anything about it? At least this way everyone is in the same boat. But if the gods were allowed to gift special items all the time, what if you weren't cared for by your parent as much as others and had to watch as others showed off their presents whilst you got not even as much as an acknowledgement? Not to mention the unclaimed. It would be even more heart-breaking than the current situation, not that I'm saying that the way things are done before Percy forces the Gods to do better is right either. Because its not. But there's not much I can do right now so I'll leave the touchy subject alone.

Once outside, Apollo grabbed my shoulder and I closed my eyes as we teleported to just outside the throne room. We looked at each other and I could tell he was barely stopping himself from busting down the doors and asking for his Fathers head.

"Apollo, I need you to promise me you wont reveal what we learned just now." I requested calmly.

"What?" Apollo asked me coldly, eyes narrowed.

"It would do us no benefit. It would cause an argument that would end up with us definitely not getting you your group of followers. But more importantly, we don't know if he can somehow force Themis to get rid of this Law in turn for another. As long as he isn't aware we know of this Law, it will still be there for when I do a massive favour or quest for him, making Jupiter obligated to give me whatever I ask for. That's be the best way to go about this and you know it. If it's any consolation, it will also piss him off the most this way."

Apollo stared at me for a moment, his face unchanged. Then his whole image seemed to ripple for a moment. His entire physical body was the same but his clothes had changed. He was now wearing dark blue jeans, tennis shoes, a simple white t-shirt and an unzipped salmon pink hoody. Greek Apollo had arrived.

"He agrees with you, as do I by the way, but he wont be able to go into that room without launching himself at my Father for what he did. You know he wears his heart on his sleeve more than I do. Plus, we are always in our Greek forms for meetings anyway." Greek Apollo said. I couldn't help but agree. The reactions to being disrespected and angered were the only way I could distinguish the two. Other than the dress sense.

"He wants to give you something though, actually we both do." Apollo said with a smile as he put his palm to my head. It glowed for a moment and gave off an extreme amount of heat before cooling back down just as fast.

With this skill, become a true hunter, using the ranged weapons of old to take down your enemies from range just like the twin archers.

+140% damage when using a bow
+56% speed at nocking an arrow

Woah! The title just doubled my archery skill in an instant! This is crazy. Yeah, it's a bit sad that I wont be able to become a human flashlight and make light constructs, but I'm already gonna be overpowered with my abilities anyway so its not that bad of a loss. I might just need some time to try and figure it out. Although I'm not holding out on anything since even the systems stumped about how I would go about doing so, something I didn't know was possible.

"What did you do? I feel amazing." I asked Apollo, pretending I didn't have a box pop up that explained everything to me.

He smiled at my comment. "Both Apollo and I gave you a bit of our divine power, making you my Champion for both my Roman and Greek personality. It's stronger than the blessing that I planned to give every member of my followers as I believe you deserve it."

"I know you have questions," he continued, stopping me from interrupting, "but we are already a bit late to the Council meeting and gods knows we don't need everyone pissed off right now."

"Yeah, of course. Just one question. Can you please give me something else to wear?" I asked with a frown, pointing at my stupid tank top. Apollo made a sour face, probably not understanding my problem with the damn thing, before his eyes lit up with an idea. He snapped his fingers and my clothes changed.

I was now wearing a pair of trainers, blue jeans and a gold fleece jacket with a black 'A' written in cursive where my left pectoral was. The fleece jacket was light and thinner than I expected yet I could tell it was well insulated.

"So this is the uniform you planned on giving us?" I asked Apollo, who was inspecting me with a grin.

"Yeah. You will probably also need a rain coat but this is good enough for now. What do you think?"

"it's really comfortable and lighter than what I was expecting." I replied honestly. I wasn't the biggest fan of gold but I could compromise.

"Thanks. It's also enchanted to keep your body warm, even in freezing temperatures. Its easy to do when you're the god of the Sun. Now, lets get this over with." He said firmly, putting a hand on my shoulder and leading me through the throne room doors that seemed to open by themselves.

We all have read descriptions of the throne room before so I'm not gonna bother with it. Bigger than Grand Central Station, twelve massive, unique thrones tailored to each god, yada, yada, yada. As we walked into the throne room, all the god's attentions were turned to me, looking at me with curiosity. Other than Artemis of course, who was putting on a poker face. Apollo went to sit in his gold throne, growing to his 13-foot-tall godly form to match everyone else. I, meanwhile, walked towards the hearth in the center of the throne room where Hestia, in her child form, tended to it with a poker. I wanted to show my respect for her but I knew that would piss Zeus and his ego off, so I decided to walk straight past, just returning a smile she gave me as I did so. I was planning to go to Camp Half-blood at some point anyway so I will be able to talk to her then.

I continued walking forward until I reached Zeus's throne, bowing before him. He looked around his mid to late thirties and had slightly long, well kept black hair with a few hints of greys. He also had a trimmed beard and slightly tanned skin whilst his face held a look of royalty, like he thought he was above everyone else. He was wearing a black suit and tie with a white shirt and black leather shoes, making him look like a stuck up businessman.

"There are important things that need to be discussed Apollo. You are already late and now you bring some random child with you?" Zeus demanded.

"Actually Father, the child is of the utmost importance. You-" Apollo started a little testily but was cut off by three flashes of light behind me, revealing three old ladies.

Everyone was shocked by their appearance as silence reigned throughout the throne room. No one said a thing as The Moirai looked at me for a moment with intrigue, and one seemingly with a bit of anger, before turning to address Zeus.

"Lord Zeus." All three said at once.

"L-Lady Fates, it has been awhile since you have appeared before us. How might we help you?" Zeus asked nervously after regaining his wits.

"We are here regarding the boy," Clotho replied, holding a spindle of yarn in her hands. "He is under the protection of Apollo but we believe that this meeting would not have ended well for the child despite this. Something we cannot let happen. We intervened because the boy cannot and will not die today. Is that understood?" Clotho continued with an intense glare sent in Zeus' direction.

Zeus nodded his head quickly in response. It was quite funny watching three old ladies boss around the King of the Gods but I managed to stop a smile from gracing my lips.

"This is Phoenix Dhana, Son of Pluto." Atropos said, pointing her scissors at me. There was silence as the gods digested the information. Then, the smell of ozone seemed to fill the air as Zeus suddenly seemed to spark with rage. His Masterbolt appeared in hand as he stood up, probably ready to blast me to oblivion. The guy really doesn't follow instructions well.

Luckily for me, Clotho seemed ready for this reaction and simply held out her hand, causing Zeus to fly back into his throne with a grunt as his weapon flew into Clotho's hands. To his credit, Zeus didn't just allow this to happen with no reaction, immediately trying to get back out of his throne to kill me with his bare hands. Unfortunately for him, it seems the Fates expected this, hardly surprising, because Zeus was struggling against an invisible force that strapped his arms to his armrests and his body in his throne. Any Electricity that was flying off him seemed to be contained within a foot of him, dissipating whenever it got any further.

The Moirai just looked at him throwing his hissy fit with an expression that said 'really' until he started to calm down. The rage never left his face though.

"That Underworld scum killed my daughter and yet you protect his spawn?" He spat. My own face contorted in anger at the way he addressed my Father and myself. I can't condone the way my father had Thalia killed but Zeus is hardly much better, trying to kill Bianca and Nico, and I am an innocent in all this. At least he got a pine tree as compensation.

Ok, ok, I'll admit that was an unsavoury thought. But to be fair I also know Thalia isn't really dead.

"You broke your oath twice Zeus and that was a consequence of you doing so. Pluto did no such thing, this child was born in the 1930's and has been stuck in the Lotus Hotel until two months ago to stop you from killing him. Do you think yourself above us that you would ignore our instructions on not harming the child?" Clotho asked with a dangerous tone to her voice. Just want to point out that I still hadn't been addressed by my name by anyone other than Apollo. I was half praying that there was a god of manners to rip into everyone who refused to call me Nick or Phoenix. Hmm, I wonder if I could make Percy accept godhood this time and find a way to give him the domain despite him obviously not being qualified for the role. A personal god on call to smite every hunter that called me boy? The possibilities… Oh well, a boy can dream.

Zeus's eyes widened as he realised exactly who he was defying with his actions, slumping back in his chair as he did so. Deciding to take away the attention from Zeus, Poseidon cleared his throat.

"Forgive us Lady Fates for my brother's actions," he said, throwing a glare at Zeus when saying the word brother. "Might we ask exactly what else you wished to tell us as I doubt you just travelled here to protect the boy and then just leave again."

"You are correct in assuming so. The boy is looked out for by a being more powerful than even my sisters and I. Do not ask us who as you will not receive an answer and the boy has no clue either." Clotho stated, causing Athena to scowl at the fact certain knowledge was being withheld from her.

"This entity blessed Phoenix with mental protections to stop even gods from going through his memories as well as freeing him from our grasp." Clotho continued, getting a gasp from half of the Olympians, whilst the others looked just as shocked. She really knew how to hold a crowd's attention; I'll give her that.

"He can alter fate even after a prophecy is given and will NOT be the Child of the Great Prophecy, even if he turns 16. We cannot see his destiny but we know that much. He also has knowledge of both your Pantheons but do not try to make him forget about the Greeks. He will be needed by you and both Camps in the future, that much we can see. Not that you could get past his mental blocks anyway."

I smirked at that. I was pretty sure Clotho only made that comment to piss the gods off and I was enjoying every second of it. As was Apollo judging by his inability to withhold a smile.

"His situation is unprecedented Lady Clotho. Just what should we do with him?" Athena asked.

"It is not our problem. We came here to keep him alive for now, nothing more. We do not interfere directly unless necessary. We are done here." Clotho replied matter-of-factly. On that note, she tossed the Masterbolt back to Zeus and all three Fates disappeared in a flash of light. Maybe Zeus would learn from the experience and keep his prized weapon from being stolen this time. Eh, I doubt it.

Zeus was now glaring at me and seemed like he was about to say something when his left eye started to twitch. Suddenly, all the gods started to faze in and out of existence for a moment before changing appearance. All except Apollo that is. They all now looked different, yet still recognisable and were dressed in purple togas. Their differences varied from god to god. For example, Mercury looked exactly the same as Hermes apart from the fact he looked more serious and rigid as Mercury as well as his hair being more cleanly cut.

Jupiter, however, looked completely different to Zeus. Other than looking of a similar age, the differences were massive. Jupiter was blonde and was clean shaven, his hair more well kept even though it was of a similar length to Zeus. He also seemed to lack at least some of the egotism that Zeus carried himself with whilst still holding an air of authority. He was looking at me, intrigued, but without the clear disdain that Zeus showed. Whether that's because he just hid it well or not, I don't know. I definitely preferred it though.

"I apologise for the actions of my… other personality, child. He is a lot more arrogant and impulsive than I. You have no need to worry for your life, his feud with Hades does not carry over to our Pantheon. Pluto has not attacked my child at Camp Jupiter and I do not intend to attack you for now, either." Jupiter explained, trying to ease the tensions of the room. The use of 'for now' didn't exactly help but I understood the sentiment behind it.

"Thank you Lord Jupiter. I have never been so thankful to be Roman as I am in this moment. You are a much fairer ruler than your colleague." I replied cheekily. Hey, no harm in earning some brownie points and the small smile that graced his lips told me that it worked. It quickly disappeared though as he turned to Apollo and his voice took a harsher tone.

"I'm not going to ask why you have not changed form, but you WILL explain to me how long you have known this child since he clearly has been given a strong blessing by you, and why you hid him from us." Jupiter ordered whilst glaring at Apollo, an action copied by a few other Olympians.

So Apollo explained everything, leaving nothing out about what happened from when we met up to meeting Artemis. Other than the fact that I know about more than just the Greco-Roman Pantheons. Although not happy, the council agreed that if The Three Fates told him it was my decision whether to reveal myself or not, they couldn't punish him for not revealing my existence.

"Now we just have to figure out what to do with the boy. We can't have him roaming round by himself. Even if he's not the child of the prophecy, he is still powerful and a liability if left to his own devices." Minerva pointed out.

"Then he joins the Legion. If it is true that he must also interact with the Greeks at some point, we will send orders to the Praetors that he is to be allowed to leave on a personal mission ordered by us if and when needs be. The Legion offers training that he will need in the future." Mars suggested, getting a lot of approving nods in response.

"Actually," Apollo interrupted, "Nick and I had a different idea about where he would spend his time, at least for now."

"What is your idea?" Juno asked suspiciously.

I then went on to explain Apollo and I's idea. We just went through the basics. I threw out the statistics about abuse and how the stigma that only women need protection was not true anymore, careful to acknowledge that they were still discriminated against for their gender so I didn't sound ignorant. I explained how Apollo and I had an idea to offer boys a place like the hunt, although not exactly the same, as proven by the different rules and oath we had come up with. Apollo also added that he wouldn't let any of his children join, which he hadn't mentioned before. But it wasn't surprising, it could cause bad blood between other demigods that his kids get to hang out with their father. Also, you might end up with the legion not having decent archers since a lot of Apollo's sons would probably jump at the chance to join his group. Not to mention the feelings of abandonment his daughters would feel.

Naturally, I could sense Diana's fury building as I suggested a similar concept to Artemis's hunt, which unsurprisingly led to her lashing out against the idea. Suddenly, she switched to her 12-year-old form with a silver parka on, indicating she was once again Artemis instead of the early twenties looking Diana.

"This idea is ridiculous! Apollo isn't responsible enough to have his own group of boys parading round the country as some parody of my Hunt. He spends most his time trying to bed as many women as possible, as seen by the number of children he has at both Camps. How can we expect him to lead a bunch of boys, the naturally crueller and more disgusting and disrespectful gender!" She half yelled, half complained at Jupiter, probably forgetting that he was a man himself. I could see the slight pain that Apollo's eyes showed at the statement. Apollo absolutely adored his sister and I knew that this will have cut him deep. The one person he cared about most speaking so ill of him. That pissed me off.

"Don't you dare speak so poorly of a man you know nothing of." I growled. Artemis and the rest of the council seemed to be in shock by the way I spoke to her but I didn't care. "You wonder why Apollo has the most children in either camps? Yes, he enjoys casual relationships or the odd one-night stand. But, one, what's it to you? You can't judge people as beneath you just because they have different views and beliefs on sex. The women are as complicit as him so what's the harm. He's not married. And two, the reason he has so many kids at camp is because he actually cares about them and is responsible. Despite the Ancient Laws, he helps where he can to keep all of them safe, helping guide them to their respective camps and even does other things that he hasn't told me of. As for disgusting and deceitful behaviour, why don't we talk about the interaction I had with your hunters today. Not only did they shoot at me and an Olympian without reason or knowledge of who either of us were, but they then proceeded to say that my dead mother was a whore!" I practically yelled.

"They told an 11-year-old kid that they just met, and who didn't provoke them, that his dead mother is a whore! A woman who did nothing but care for me. A woman who died from German bombing runs because she was a nurse in the city and would never leave because she felt it was her duty to help the injured. I know you heard what they said but you didn't even acknowledge it and none seemed to be bothered by them saying it save Apollo. And yet you try to tell me that it is boys are disgusting and cruel?" I continued viscously. Perhaps I was out of order to speak to a goddess like that, and I might have found out exactly what happens to men that piss Artemis off at that moment if the silver glow she was starting to emit was anything to go by, but luckily I was saved by a massive crack of thunder that brought everyone's attention back to Jupiter. Drama queen.

He had a look of annoyance on his face, and was staring straight at Artemis, presumably having a mental conversation with her. From the look on her face it was not one she was enjoying. After a minute, Artemis seemed to lose the argument, scoffing before transforming back into Diana. She sighed, glared at Jupiter once more, then looked towards me.

"I am not a fan of you or your plan boy, nor am I accepting of the way you spoke to me. But I do recognise that what the hunter in question said was unacceptable and I made sure they were reprimanded for it. Unfortunately for me, it's the councils decision whether or not you get this silly boy band you and my brother are asking for, although the gender difference means they could never hold a candle to my hunt." She said snootily.

"ENOUGH!" Jupiter boomed. "I will not let this throne room become a place of childish arguments!"

Everyone seemed to scoff at that but didn't say anything. From what Rick had written about the on goings of the council, I was led to believe childish arguments was all that occurred. I believe the argument between Zeus and Poseidon of who Rhea loved most was one of the more common occurrences during their meetings.

"Now that everyone's calmed down," Jupiter said with a pointed look at Diana, before returning his attention to me, "you would do very well to remember your place and who exactly you are speaking to. The Fates might have denied us the right to kill you for your transgressions but that is not the only punishment that we can hand out. Am I understood?" I nodded in response. My transgressions were being a child of Pluto but even I knew it was best if I shut up.

"Good. Now is there anything else you wish to say on the matter before your proposal is put to a vote?" Jupiter asked Apollo and I.

"Actually, yes there's one more thing. I just would like to emphasise the reason why Apollo and I want to create this group. Its mission is to serve Apollo and through him Olympus, receiving partial immortality and his blessing as a reward. But it is not the purpose of the Archers. As I said before, 48% of mortal child abuse victims are male, which I imagine translates quite well to the demigod world. Since Ancient Greece, girls have had their protectors and home in the hunt if they don't want to go to Camp. But what about the boys? We need to adapt to the modern era. Girls and women aren't the only vulnerable ones anymore. And if not for a safe place for boys, what about for Romans? The hunt is sworn only to Artemis and only Greeks are allowed to join. They barely have any interaction with New Rome because I have been made aware that Artemis and Diana are not fans of the Legion and that you wish to keep both Pantheons separate, yet they are there to support the Greek Camp when needed. Yes, the Legion doesn't need as much of their help due to their greater numbers and organisation but are we saying that the Romans don't deserve help from what is essentially an Olympian task force? That only the Greeks can serve Olympus in such a capacity? That the Romans do not deserve a similar opportunity to show their worth to you, even if it is only the men? I knew we Romans were the symbol of true military might, but I didn't realise it was only in the form of an army. My mistake for believing us to be the best of the best in all forms of combat." I said dismissively.

There was silence in the throne room for what seemed like forever. Apollo had a smirk on his face. We both knew once I made this part of the argument, Roman pride wouldn't allow most the Olympians to vote against us. Other than Diana of course. And maybe Neptune since he hates the disrespect the Romans show him. The drag of silence was finally broken by a chuckle from the Queen of Olympus.

"Your strategy is obvious. We should all vote against your proposal as being manipulated by a mere child is not something we would normally allow. However, you have made it so if we reject this idea, we are effectively admitting that Romans are inferior to Greeks, something you know we would never do. You have effectively left us with no option but to agree to your proposal, which I must commend you for. I would be utterly shocked that a 11-year-old could be intelligent enough to do this but you are already full of surprises nephew." Juno commented with a surprisingly warm smile directed at me. I had nothing to say so just gave an innocent smile and shrug in return.

"As much as I hate to admit it, as long as you only accept Romans and do not mix demigods into the group, I don't see a problem with the idea. Even if some of you have worries about Apollo's ability to lead, he is still an Olympian and holds other responsibilities that he has proven capable of having. We were looking for something for him to do anyway. Moreover, I believe we can all admit the child is intelligent, even if impulsive and quick to anger, and clearly passionate about making this successful, making it more than viable. I also understand that hiding yourselves from the Greeks is not ideal or entirely possible. Therefore, I would also advise that all inductees are given knowledge about both Pantheons but sworn to secrecy about said knowledge on the Styx as having a group that can interact and support both Camps without revealing each others existence could be very rewarding with a low risk." Minerva suggested.

"And why can the hunt not perform that exact same job? You don't allow them to know about both pantheons apart from the ones who were born before the civil war." Diana said angrily. Minerva simply smirked at her sister.

"That is because you refuse to have anything but minimal communication with the Legion. Letting the rest of your hunt in on the secret would not be worth the slight risk it brings." Minerva replied, receiving a glare from Diana but no verbal response.

"I am willing to take on Minerva's suggestion and accept the conditions if the the council sees fit to add them to the proposal," said Apollo. Jupiter mulled it over for a few moments before speaking.

"Fine. As long as they swear on the Styx, its acceptable. We'll put it to a vote. All in favour of the proposed idea?" Jupiter asked.

Every hand went up apart from Diana. "It is passed." Jupiter announced. "Now that that's dealt with, before you go you need to swear on the Styx to never reveal the existence of either Camp to each other without the council's consent."

"I swear to your terms." I said immediately, thunder rumbling overhead. Jupiter seemed satisfied with that.

"Moving on, we convened for a reason before we got sidetracked. Apollo, send the boy back wherever he is staying, he is not needed anymore." Jupiter ordered.

Apollo nodded before smiling at me, "congrats cuz we got our brotherhood. I'll check up on you when this is done." He then waved his hand and everything started to spin.

I reappeared back at my campsite and sat down on one of the chairs outside, setting up a fire in front of it. It was dark out now but I wasn't really worried about wild animals or monsters. Over the last two months I had trained my senses to the point where nothing could sneak up on me unless I was asleep, and my tent had protections on it so that my demigod scent would be covered whilst inside. I received a new notification upon sitting down.

Umbrakinesis- Lvl 1 (9%)

As a child of Pluto you have control over the shadows around you, able to manipulate them as you see fit. You can use them to create physical constructs as well as move them using mana.

100 MP per m2 of shadows manipulated (-2 MP per level)

Subskills

Shadow Wall- 3 HP of Damage Protection per 1 MP put into skill.

Deciding to test this new skill out, I started drawing shadows created by the fire towards me, creating a small ball in the palm of my hand. I had only been doing this for a few minutes absentmindedly when I heard a voice behind me, causing me to tense up.

"Already in control of the shadows I see." A deep yet silky voice spoke. I recognised it immediately, a voice I hadn't heard in years since the day he left my mother and I alone in our apartment for the last time. I turned around slowly, my breath hitching as I looked at the man in front of me, only one word able to leave my mouth.

"Father."

Dun Dun Dun. Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and don'f forget to let me know what pairing you want to see with Phoenix. Also, please favourite and follow if your enjoying the story. It's kind of crazy to me that I already have over 100 followers 2 weeks in.
