A/N: Whaddup people, here we are again with another chapter. With it comes Phoenix's first hints as to where he came from and what he is doing in an Alternate PJO Universe. I'm interested to see what you're guys theories are after reading the chapter. Let me know? If anyone actually successfully guesses the gist of it, I will give them a cookie. Metaphorically of course. Most my readers are American and I'm british so actually sending a cookie is more hassle then its worth.

To the Reviews!

Mewingdog- Wonderful action-filled chapter again , well done ! The lightning thief arc is starting, ig .. Looking forward to more..

I'm glad you're enjoying my story. And I can't wait until I begin releasing the Lightning Thief chapters soon and seeing how you guys receive them as I have enjoyed rewriting the book in my own way, even if canon isn't diverted from too much as of yet.

ClaytonB1234- How do I vote on the pole

I'm not exactly an expert on the FanFiction website but normally on computers, as long as you are logged in, a message should pop up about active polls at the top of my profile. I don't know about how it works on mobile devices and if you even can vote from them though.

DecipleofChaos- If possible it'd be nice to see Rachel in the poll

I got you. Rachel is now available to vote for!

Arrowman- Sounds promising. I wonder if Phoenix will find a way to punish the Hunters.

Thank you and his grudge against the Hunters is a theme that will be addressed in the future multiple times don't you worry.

Thanks again for the reviews guys and to all those who have voted in the poll so far. I'll give you guys the basic current top 5 run down of the current standings for the EVENTUAL final pairing so far:

1. Artemis/Diana
2. Thalia
3. Aphrodite/Venus
4. Calypso
5. Zoe

Unsurprisingly, The pertemis shippers are in the lead although it is a surprisingly close race. Part of me expected for it to just be a runaway but the top 4, at least, are fairly close in voting with Thalia not far at all behind Artemis/Diana.

Hope you guys all enjoy the chapter and dont forget to favourite, follow and leave a review if you are enjoying the story. Ciaio.

After calming down the now shit scared demi-titan, I explained my plan and my reasoning behind it, which he eventually agreed was the only option and was actually quite happy to go through with, apart from the unpredictability of the Goddess's reaction. 5 minutes later the Roman goddess of War flashed into the massive opening, spotting her son straight away. After deducing he was in fact alive, she turned around to find Agothane and I sitting calmly on two wooden chairs without any weapons in sight, myself holding the bracelet I contacted her with.

I thought I saw a tiny bit of fear flash through her eyes for a second before it was replaced by her usual cold gaze. "Why is my son still in chains son of Pluto?" She asked coldly.

"I don't think you're really in any position to be asking questions after what I just discovered Lady Bellona." I replied with a raised eyebrow, causing her warlike aura to flare as she showed visible signs of her anger through a clenched fist. It hit me like a brick, the raw power the goddess emitted making me second guess my plan. I knew I would be completely out of my depth in a physical confrontation but I didn't plan on letting that happen. I refused to let my fear show, not allowing Bellona see any weakness on my part as I was sure my plan wouldn't work if she saw I had doubts. Before she could say anything, I continued with a fake cockiness.

"Oh sorry, where are my manners. This is Agothane, son of a Titan. Of course, you already knew that, didn't you? Quite an interesting conversation we had as well." I said with a smile, Bellona's steely glare turning to the demi-titan when I mentioned him. To be fair to him, Agothane held her gaze quite well, keeping up a mask of indifference on his face. I could feel his trepidation leaking through though.

"What do you know demigod?" She growled, summoning an Imperial Gold spear into her hand.

"Now, now goddess. I don't think you want to do that considering a certain god of the Sun would not be happy if you killed his champion." I said teasingly.

"I could easily kill you and that scum, then get myself and my son out of here before Apollo could even begin to investigate your death. I could make it look like a monster attack easily. Or maybe I will just make it look like you killed each other." She sneered.

"That might be true but there are multiple flaws to your plan. Firstly, you're assuming that we were the only ones to have been here. If you use your senses, you might have noticed that there had recently been two goddesses here, one of which I freed once the dangers were gone. She would be very distraught and confused as to how I died. Not to mention she knew your son was here as well. Between that and the fact you told me to come here, it wont take long for Apollo to find out what actually happened. Do you know how useful being able to know if someone is telling the truth is? Your son can't hide anything from him." I pointed out, watching Bellona mull those words over in her head. Before she could come up with a different plan I continued on.

"Then there's the fact that I am a son of Pluto, something you just pointed out. Even if you manage to cover your tracks, I will just reveal to my father that you killed me once I am dead. I'm sure he would love to hear what happened, being the protective, grudge holding parent he is. Between him and Apollo you might just disappear for a few decades on an extended trip to Tartarus. Or they will seek retribution through your children if the Ancient Laws or Jupiter prohibit them from directly taking out their anger on you. I'm not sure the rest of Olympus would protect you once they found out what you and Jupiter have been hiding. Finally, you might be thinking you could get away with just killing my friend over here. That no one would believe a single demigod over a goddess and a member of the Legion, even if Apollo says I am telling the truth since he's my patron. The problem with that is right here." I said, pointing to a gold ring that adorned my finger. The goddess was obviously confused to what it was and its significance but did well to keep up some form of a poker face.

"This right here has a bit of Apollo's godly power within it. Using it, I can bestow his blessing upon any male that I see fit as long as they swear themselves to Apollo and his Archers. You can guess what Agothane did the moment I freed him. Meaning Apollo would know if he was going against his oath, which was to serve him. To sum up, you've got yourself into a really bad situation for yourself and Jupiter, goddess." I concluded. Bellona took a few moments of deep thought before trying to counter.

"You're clearly trying to keep the titan-spawn safe by confronting me, yes? Which means you care about peoples lives. You wont risk the mortal lives that the fallout of you releasing this information to others would bring if I just went ahead and sent you back to your father the easy way." She replied with a calculating look.

"You might be right about me caring about people but your wrong if you think I wouldn't go through with my threat. My fatal flaw is my ability to hold a grudge, one I inherited from my godly parent like most demigods do. So do you really think I would let you get away with killing either of us?" I asked. It wasn't even a bluff. I realised it to be true when I was thinking about Nico and Bianca in the books, my siblings. It was written that it was also Nico's fatal flaw, one he inherited from Hades. Considering my willingness to piss off the Hunt and go against its Lady despite the possible consequences after they insulted me like they did, it was fairly easy to figure out I shared that flaw. That along with my current conviction of course.

Bellona seemed to realise I wasn't bluffing either, if her spear disappearing into thin air and her growing frustration in the form of her fluctuating aura was anything to go by.

"What do you want then?" She asked through gritted teeth, getting a smile from me as a reaction.

"In return for me not telling Apollo or the other Olympians how you and Jupiter were trying to kill off demi-titans secretly just because of one of their parents despite the fact most were probably innocents trying to go about their lives? For that, I will tell you exactly what I want. One, you will not go after or kill another demi-titan unless you know they have gone against Olympus and can prove it. Two, your Father will swear on the Styx that when the existence of the demi-titans does come to light, any who are not against Olympus will be allowed to go to Camp Half-Blood since we both know how discriminatory Romans are. If he wants to, I know he could get a proposal like that passed by the council when eventually brought up. Finally, you will not allow that murdering son of yours any sort of power above the rank of a Legionnaire, which you're already doing anyway so its not much to ask. You will swear on the Styx to these terms on the condition that I don't reveal your and Jupiter's little operation."

"Before you reply," I continued, predicting what she would say next, "no I wont swear on the Styx to my part of the deal. I hold all the power here and since your oath would be conditional, it doesn't make that big a difference for your side of things. And we both know that an oath on the river is far more binding for myself than it is for gods. How many children have Zeus and Jupiter had again since he made his oath to stop having demigods?"

"Fine, I swear on the Styx to your conditions." She said angrily. Once again I felt a connection form between my self and Bellona this time.

"Good. Have fun telling him what happened by the way and getting him to make the same oath." I said cheekily.

"You have made an enemy of me demigod. Remember that." She coldly replied. My smile immediately disappeared at the thinly veiled threat.

"Who said I wanted to be friends?" I said in the same tone. She glared at me one last time before disappearing in a flash of light. Once we were done averting our eyes from her divine form, Agothane and myself turned back to where the goddess was, noticing that both her and her son were gone now. Agothane let out a sigh of relief, the first sound I had heard in awhile from him. I inwardly sighed in relief as well but didn't show it.

"Told you it would be fine." I told him with a grin, which he rolled his eyes at in response. To be honest, on the inside I was as relieved as him. I just hid my nervousness with smiles and cockiness because I knew it would piss Bellona off. If Percy could get away with pissing off every deity, why can't I?

Due to Dex reaching Level 25, you have received a perk as a reward.

Deadshot

You are the ultimate Marksman. Any new ranged combat skill you learn will automatically level up to level 15, making you an expert at the skill, at least to a mortal's eye.

Well that's certainly a useful perk. Using throwing knives, mortal guns if ever necessary or crossbows would be a lot easier and I would be a lot more deadly with them. Although it did bring up the question of why I didn't get a shield throwing skill? I guess the system only counts conventional ranged combat when creating skills, which was a bit disappointing.

I guessed that Rhode must have told Poseidon of me freeing her, which is how I gained his trust. The impact of that was fairly easy to predict considering it said Poseidon and not Neptune when I was Roman. This almost confirmed that I would in fact have a role within the Greek Pantheon as well as the Roman one, specifically regarding a certain green-eyed demigod. But I was more interested in getting back to the Archers Camp at the moment.

We could have walked back but it would take at least half an hour and Agothane looked exhausted from what he had been through. I could have called on Apollo but there was a chance he would sense the auras of the gods that had recently been here. I didn't truly know how any of that stuff worked. That would bring questions and risk him finding out everything since I couldn't lie to the god without him knowing. So that left us to our own devices.

We had no instantaneous form of transportation available. At least, that's what I thought at the time until the gamer system decided to give its own unwanted opinion.

Due to being a dumbass who still hasn't tried shadow travel for the last 5 months he has known he can use it despite this being a perfect opportunity, you have lost -1 Int.

I just stared at the illuminated sentence for a few moments before taking a deep breath. 'Just breathe Nick, the gamer system isn't a real person. It doesn't know any better.' I thought to myself

Ping

Actually, I do know better. You're just a dumbass, dumbass.

'Oh no. It's a sentient being…'

'Fuck you.'

Deciding that arguing with a clearly deranged piece of code was not productive, I grabbed Agothane by the arm and ran straight at a shadow created by a wall, not even bothering to try and test out how shadow travel works or if I could even do it.

Percy described the shadow travelling as feeling cold shivers up his spine, hearing strange noises and going so fast it feels like your face is peeling off. In other words, he absolutely loved it. To me, the experience was completely different. I still loved the feeling but my experience was like a polar opposite. Firstly, I should describe how shadow travel works, something I only understood once trying it for the first time. The shadows of the world, everywhere devoid of light are connected to each other, their darkness being the medium that connects them all. It is through this medium that anyone or thing that I assume has an affinity to such darkness can use the shadows to transport from one spot to another.

When Agothane and I ran into the shadow, I kept my campsite in my mind until I felt a bridge being formed. We entered the shadow and ended up in pure darkness. I knew there was not a speck of light wherever we were as I'm pretty sure I would have been able to see it with my night vision. But I saw nothing but black around me. I don't know what it was that we were travelling through exactly, whether it was a separate dimension that ran parallel to the real world or us jumping from one shadow to another constantly. All I did know was that for the first time since I began this second life, I truly felt at home. Which was slightly worrying.

It was like I had recovered something I never knew was missing within me when I was travelling through shadows. The cold shivers Percy described felt like a slight tingle throughout my entire body that kept me more awake and energised than I ever had been. The face pealing winds that he experienced from travelling so fast felt like a nice breeze that enveloped and protected me. It was still exhilarating, but more like standing up in an open top convertible on a country road than riding a rollercoaster at high speeds. The only other time I had felt this sort of way was when I was hunting monsters. The only time I felt truly alive. It wasn't like I felt dead when not in those situations, just that I felt slightly incomplete and weaker, as if comparing the passive feeling and senses of a human to that of a demigod. I was loving every second of it.

So it was just my luck that as soon as we reappeared outside what I assumed was my tent, I was hit with a huge wave of exhaustion and immediately passed out.

That was how I ended up where I am now, pretty sure I'm dreaming, which I actually hadn't done since I got the system. I assume Gamer's Mind protects me from the possible dangers of entering Morpheus' realm. Which begs the question, how the Hades did I get here? (I don't consider it cursing out my dad since I'm Roman. Not that I'd happily let anyone else do the same. So what if I'm a hypocrite? Get over it)

Where is here? Oh, right. I should probably explain that. I was currently floating in an empty black room that was giving me a suspiciously familiar feeling but I couldn't put my finger on why. The room looked like a typical office except light sources seemed to be banned from entering the room. Apollo will be pissed when he finds out about this.

What looked like windows seemed to be completely covered in a black material on either end of the office. On the walls hung various plaques, paintings and framed items/pictures but it was too dark for me to be able to tell what they were of. (A/N: Yes his night vision is suddenly gone. There's a reason for it before you Karen's out there complain though.) In front of me was a massive glass desk with nothing seemingly on it, wires entering the desk from plug sockets then simply disappearing, making a weird sight to see. On the opposite side of the desk was a man sat in a chair, staring at me.

How did I see all this if no light was allowed to enter the room you ask? I could see this man, at least an outline of him, it was still fairly dark, because although no light was allowed inside, there was a source of light in the room. After looking round for a moment, I realised that source of light was me.

Scratch what I said before, Apollo wouldn't be pissed, he would be beaming with pride that his student was a literal beacon of light. He would probably start calling me 'Mini-me'. He's been watching a lot of Austin Powers recently. Calls the man his hero, saying that he will find him and together they will be unstoppable against 'the forces of evil', which is his name for the women swearing chastity. I didn't have the heart to tell him that Austin Powers is just a character. Or the hypocrisy in his statement, considering the one woman who's basically sworn to him, the Oracle of Delphi, has to stay a virgin. Although every time he tries to share a new Haiku with us, I now have an easy way to get rid of him. I just tell him I remembered seeing Austin Powers in a certain location when I lived in England. The god is so excited by the prospect that he doesn't even question the obvious gap in timelines between me living in England and the movies.

Now, you may think that this is a bit evil of me since he would always come back too upset with his lack of new English spy friends but I will never back down on my belief that it is totally worth not having to hear Haikus. You don't have to suffer with the problem that 'Oh behaaave, baby' and 'That's groovy, baby' are both 5 syllables, fitting into his poems perfectly. Not too mention the fact that Apollo insists on doing the accent, an awful experience for all involved. Damn, stupid Michael Myers and his stupid catchphrases ruining my life.

Anyways, enough about that and back to the glow stick that was me. I looked at myself once I realised I was the source of light in the rooms and was utterly confused. There was a small box like device where my feet should have touched the floor. From it I seemed to come out from as a pale blue hologram, I could even swipe my arms through myself, which was freaky. My legs seemed to fad into the box though and I was unable to move at all or feel anything. I was nothing more than a projection like something out of star wars!

"I see you've noticed the predicament you find yourself in." Said the man behind the desk, showing the first sign of him being alive and awake since I appeared here. I went to make a snarky reply but found I couldn't speak. No sound came out of my mouth, which the man seemed to find amusing if his chuckling was anything to go by.

"You don't need to talk so you aren't going to. I made sure they pro-… forced you to be silent during our little interaction." The man said. It was really annoying me how I couldn't see his face, just an outline of a tall, thin man in a suit. I was getting seriously bad vibes off the guy and not having any knowledge or information of a potential enemy right in front of me was infuriating. Plus, it was scary how much control he could have over me that he could not only stop me from speaking, but he could make me dream at all!

"Don't worry so much, Phoenix. I'm not here to hurt you." The man said, which gave me no comfort whatsoever. "No, I am just here to let you know that you will be getting a small surprise to your 'game' when you wake up. All the complaints were getting on my nerves. 'Phoenix isn't growing strong enough', 'Why doesn't he have a skill for his shield throwing but he does for archery?', 'Where are the Demigod Dreams?', 'Why is he earning so little Exp from his quests?'. Actually, the last one is because you need to head off without the Archers to get to the really juicy and rewarding Main Quests but that's not as important right now. Don't even get me started on our IMDB rating and reviews. We've also got a Rotten Tomatoes score coming out next month so we really need to brush up on some stuff as well as make some corrections. So I got them to add some stuff for you. Your welcome by the way, the skill will really help you in the future."

I couldn't exactly say thank you to the guy since he stopped me from speaking, not that I would have anyway if I could. All he was doing was giving me more questions and no answers whatsoever. Who was complaining? What did IMDB stand for? And what did rotting sentient fruit have to do with anything? Who gave it the right to judge me?

All I did figure out was that the man in front of me was not helping me out of the goodness of his heart but rather because someone was on his back about me or something. I could tell from the way he spoke that if it would benefit him in any way, he would just as easily kill me so I wasn't about to be grateful to him. Which I showed with a raised eyebrow and an unimpressed glare directed straight at where I assumed his eyes were.

"You aren't grateful that I'm making you stronger, making it easier for you to fight the Titans and win. Bit rude." The man said in a tone that told me he was more amused than anything else. " 'Sigh' I guess I should have expected as much from a child such as yourself. Anyways, I said what I wanted to and to be honest, just wanted to talk to my biggest money maker and thank him for the entertainment that is his life. We are done here." And with that he waved his hand and everything went black.
