Chapter Two:

As time passed, the people of Godric's Hollow got used to the new residents of the village. Particularly the Potters, as they rather quickly became Erusa's go-to people when it came to babysitting little Hail during particularly busy times at the local pub. The fact that they lived next to each other helped quite a lot.

Lily made her discomfort regarding the unusually low temperature in the home of the Yuki-Onna, which (rather predictably) gave her a cold for a few days after the first time she babysat little Hail, known when Erusa got home from work. Fortunately, Lily didn't try any of the Frostpops, which most likely would have caused a dangerous case of hypothermia. The rant regarding the incident that Erusa, with the sleeping Hail in a baby carriage, walked in on accidentally revealed the Potters' status as Magicals. While Lily didn't immediately notice the snow-woman standing slightly behind her, her husband did.

"Uhm, Lily-flower?"

"Yes, honey?"

"Look behind you."

"Huh?" As Lily turned around, she was greeted by the sight of Erusa looking rather guilty. "Uhm, how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to hear a few expressions that indicate a connection to the Supernatural World." Deadpanned Erusa. "Or rather a connection to a rather small part of it to be more specific."

"Merlin's beard. You're not a muggle, are?"

"That's the term wizards and witches use for people without magic, right? Sounds rather insulting. No I'm not, and neither is Hail. We're Yokai, Yuki-Onna, or snow women, to be more specific."

"That certainly explains the cold house."

"Yokai? And snow women at that. If you don't mind me asking, what are you two doing here this far west." Asked James, earning a few curious looks from both his wife and the Yokai talking with both him and her.

"Hmm. I'm willing to share my and Hail's tale, but not in public." Replied Erusa after a moment of thinking.

"Would our backyard be private enough?"

"Sure."
