Chapter 27: Desert War Part 3

A few days later

Puente Antigue

Jeanne Dark.

The basement underneath my current home was once again filled with thunderous noise. Not the kind that came from a forge, but rather the kind that came from the wielding of a monstrous blade.

"Nine Lives: Flames of the Altered!"

"Clang!/Clang!/Clang!"

-500,000 MP

The noise was deafening within the small space. And yet, the blade that caused it was nothing but an imitation of the original. While it was forged from superior materials, it was not made by a superior hand.

"Nine Lives: Fire of Retribution!"

"Clang!/Clang!/Clang!"

-500,000 MP

The blade chipped as it was used, its durability doing nothing as it was being swung faster than the eye could see. Steel plates that she had set up before her slid apart from the three cuts they had received within a fraction of a second.

The blade in her hands had been dulled. Its edge was no longer something suitable to cut. But it did not have to. For it was the technique that was being used that truly mattered.

"Nine Lives: Ignis Alter!"

"Clang!/Clang!/Clang!/Clang!"

-500,000 MP

The booming noise is heard once more, this time just a bit louder, as a fourth strike had struck the already wrecked metal. The blade was scratched and dented, as it could not withstand the full power of the technique. Yet the girl using it could not help but smile in glee at the improvement.

Nine Lives has levelled up to 44 (C Rank)

I breathe out in relief as I wipe away the sweat on my brow. I look around and see the destruction around me. Cuts and gashes litter the walls and floor. Pretty much everything not bolted down had fallen over and was now rolling around on the floor. Doesn't really bother me that much…probably due to the huge smile adorning my face.

'Four consecutive blows. Nowhere close to the nine of the original technique, but I am getting there!'

And the names you gave?

'Well SYSTEM….I need my own stuff after all. Like Shirou's "Nine Lives Blade Works", and I can't just use the original name. That's plagiarism.'

.You know no one even has the knowledge here to give a shit right?

'I mean…..OAA does, but I'm sure he doesn't mind... even so, "Nine Lives: Ignis Alter" gave me 4 Strikes! I'm certain it connected with me somehow!'

Sure it did.

'Oh come now System! Think about how awesome this will become once I have the full skill down! I'm going to be kicking more than Hydra Ass, believe me!'

Other than HYDRA Ass you mean?

'Them too!' I cackle out loud as I finish my conversation with SYSTEM. With a quick twist of my wrist, the hulking blade swings through the air before disappearing in the black window of my inventory.

With that done I observe the room again. The damage is happily something that can be repaired with Build&Buy…..on the other hand, it might be fun to leave all of this as is. I'm certain SHIELD will be all over this place once I'm done here and…..Fingerprints…DNA…Fuck.

Guess I'm torching this place once I leave. I'll pay the owner for it anonymously, but I'll still torch the damn thing. I hadn't thought of the security at all.

I've been quite busy with Nine Lives as well as doing my job at the clinic. Something that will go through a decent change today. My first idea was to blackmail Gwen and the Good Doctor, but I don't think I have that kind of time frame anymore. It's been two weeks since I arrived and Thor will be happening any day now. I already checked out Jane Foster's lab and have thoroughly bugged the place. Trackers on their car and equipment as well obviously.

Other than that, it's been boring. Ironically, other than integrating myself into the hospital staff, I've also got this little skill out of it.

Medical Knowledge LV 31

Sub skills: Pleasure Manipulation, Medium-Expert Body Modification, Phantom touch, Liquid Modification, Climax Control, Arousal Control, Eldritch Appendages, Fetish Manipulation

I've unlocked Expert Body Modification and I have to say I'm happy. Haven't made any changes to my true body as it's not fully matured, but I've done some experiments. Making my breasts bigger than my body, growing a cock that would reach even my mouth, to even some stranger changes. Let's just say, Human Fingers are great and you should never change them.

Next up was Arousal Control. It basically did as it said, but it also had dominance over stamina for some reason. I mean, it makes sense. Can't be aroused and ready to go if you have no stamina.

Eldritch Appendages were…..rather unexpected. Makes me once again fear the Being that is "Merlin". As the name implies, it gave me Tentacle Power…..I could even manipulate their types and just what they would do. From Sucking to Penetration, they were quite….useful I guess.

Fetish Manipulation was probably my greatest improvement. It allowed what it implies. Not only can I see the Kinks and Preferences of others, but I can also boost or change them entirely to my will. It's something that I want to try out.

I mean…I need to go to work anyway, and there are some things that need doing.

Jeanne Dark (Morgan Penning)

The work wasn't much of a hassle as always. Most of the injuries are minor ones from Bar Fights and the rest is caused by the average issues. Skin conditions to kids scuffing up their legs. Nothing major and generally boring.

It gave ample time for our favourite couple to fuck to their heart's delight. But today will be different. I made sure to wait for an opportune moment and have been waiting outside of Doctor Jackson's office for a while. My enhanced sense of smell due to Gluttony has come in full force and the smell of sex coming from within is apparent. I've been waiting for a minute as I knew they were finishing up.

My presence concealment was active, so dearest Gwen was none the wiser when she walked past me, fluids still dripping down her legs. A smirk formed on my face as I watched her shaking ass move away. 'This is where the Fun begins' I think.

I drop my magic and open up the door to the office. It's audible enough to be heard and grabs the attention of the man who was currently zipping up his pants. "Gwen, did you need something els-"

The word hitches in his throat as he sees my smirking face in front of him. In my hand, I happen to hold some pictures which I quickly throw over to him. They land on the floor with some now being very visible. They show both him and Gwen having all kinds of sex and it would be hard to deny this kind of Evidence.

He stares up at me, with both Fear and even greater Anger in his eyes. "Penning…What.." He straightens his collar as he steps forward. His face grows stern as he takes in my own smug grin, "No need to beat around the bush then. You didn't expose us, so spit it out. What do you want?"

I saunter towards him, while casting some magic to heat him up. His pants tighten and an artificial blush appears on my face. I tell him with a cutesy voice "I've been awfully lonely here Doctor. So far from home…..What's a girl to do when something so interesting happens so close. I've been watching you and Gwen. It has been quite exciting… So I think there is only one thing you can do for me."

I move closer and lay my left hand on his broad chest. The other hangs to the side. He catches my intentions (or what he believes them to be) and his hands glide down my back before grabbing hold of my Ass cheeks. I give a soft giggle in response and look into his now lecherous eyes. His grin is ear to ear, " And what, do tell, can I do for you?"

My face closes in on his, mere inches away as my breath hits his face, "I want you….to die for me."

His eyes widen at the words, but he is too late to react as my right hand pierces a dagger into his heart. His arms let go of my behind and tries to reach for the wound as he tumbles away from me. With the dagger lodged in his chest, his arms soon fall limply to his side as his knees also cave in. He must have passed out from Shock. Good, he can't notice then how I may have messed up the line from the Highschool DxD Pilot. Eh, not like it matters.

With him now lying on the floor, blood slowly spilling out, I grab hold of the Blade and summon my first demon via Demon Forging. A purple glow covers the body as the old soul is prepared to be devoured by the incoming demon.

-100,000 MP

Hm, looks like I can't spam it indefinitely then. Though with my regen values, it might be possible in theory... But back to the task at hand.

I was able to read up the craft on my Necromancy Grimoire (after briefly borrowing it back from Kaecillius) and got it up to Level 11. I'm glad it had a few chapters on the subject, but not nearly enough to make another dagger or something of the sort. It would also no longer help in improving the skill any more than that. It doesn't allow me to summon better demons, but it does allow me to choose what kind they are. In this case I also prevent the major transformation of his body. He still needs to look human for now after all.

With my specifications set, I cast my magic onto the corpse. A Purple Glow overtakes the body and the veins begin to illuminate as the light spreads across the body. The eyelids rip open, with purple slitted eyes now revealed.

I pull the dagger from his flesh and the demon stares at me in awe. The body isn't that much different. Ok, maybe a little, but at least he wasn't obviously demonic. Muscles are more pronounced, face is sharper, his ears are slightly pointed and his lower member is probably about 2 or 3 inches longer.

The demon in question quickly observes his body before standing up and inspecting the now closed up wound in his chest. He was probably called at random as my only specification was that I wanted a Lust Demon. Quickly taking in his surroundings, he breathes out in a rapid fashion, his eyes wandering over my body before stopping at the dagger still within my hand.

"A…A True Forgemaster…. in this day and age." He quickly falls to his knee in order to bow before me. "I…I pledge myself to you, my lady. If it is within my power, I shall do whatever you ask, my Master!" he practically begs of me.

I cast a quick Observe over him to confirm my thoughts.

I smirk as I finish reading over his stats. They aren't too bad, especially considering that it only cost me a bit of mana and a body to create. Other than that I am also happy to see that the 75 OBE is in fact there as the skill description promised. My Perks will prevent any decay of the stat, so that will not prove an issue. This is also probably the reason no proper failsafe was implemented in the dagger. I can't just send him back to hell, it is just assumed that the caster is stronger than the demon….. Which I am of course.

I give a small smirk to the bowing demon in front of me. In Hell, this guy is at the bottom of the barrel. Nothing to his name but scraps. But here? With access to fresh souls, a demon can grow.

I also heard that through the application of their sin, this can be done without even killing anyone. This is exactly why I chose a Lust demon for this. Blood sacrifices or battles to the death, maybe some kind of cannibalism for gluttony and so much more was possible with other kinds of demons. But this guy? This guy is ideal as a beta test.

"Rise Orihis, you have a special job to do," I order my new minion.

He gets up, but still bows his head as he addresses me. "M-My-My Master. Your wish is my command!"

My smile widens to an almost unnatural degree. I move over to grip his chin and lift it up, "You got the Jackpot friend…tell me, do you have the memories of the body you inhabit and the soul you devoured?"

He slowly nods in acknowledgement but I shush him before he can speak. letting out a small chuckle, I continue "Now then Orihis. As I've said, you are in luck. For now, your job is to ensure that when a patient: blonde male, well built, reeks of divinity, is delivered here, that I get first access to him. Shortly after that, I will leave this town. But for you, I have a bit more." He looks up with a questioning gaze as I let go of his face.

I slowly pace around the room as I continue, "You are to….. enjoy yourself….Yes. Continue defiling dearest Gwen and have your way with the people of this town. You can do this to your heart's content and I will not stop you. Only ensure that it all remains in the shadows. Anger no authorities and never reveal anything supernatural in public. Should you do so, I will not defend you from whoever may come. And lastly, any calls or orders I give will be followed without question. But I doubt that will happen often…..any issues with that?"

The question was completely unnecessary but seeing his OBE raise up to 95 and his REP go to 60 told me all I needed to know. "My Master, I! …..I will not disappoint you! Thank you for giving me such a chance!"

He lowers his head once more, I on the other hand just look around the room before turning to the door. "Good. Now then, make sure to clean this room. Oh. And groom Gwen for a transformation of sorts. She won't be your equal but maybe a right hand later on…" as he goes to answer me, I had already closed the door and was walking through the hospital.

That was all fun and interesting. This little town will become my Demonic Petri-dish and it's very disposable at the same time. It's not like I'm expecting any decent fights coming my way. Thor can handle the Destroyer, I can comfortably rest on the sidelines…

Hmm…..considering that Thor arrives at night and that Dr Foster hasn't left her lab yet, I can safely assume that I still have time. Might as well get a drink then.

I entered the somewhat shady looking bar with a sense of general…..Well, not boredom. It was quite ok actually. Sure, the last weeks have been slow, but this wasn't really that bad. I didn't want an action-packed life, especially in a world like this. So taking this little vacation wasn't that bad.

Closing the door behind me, my attention was immediately drawn to a commotion around a gambling table. It would seem that a few people were playing cards and it was now growing a bit heated.

"Admit it! You cheated, you asshole!"

A tall blond man was manhandling a rather handsome guy in a suit and a hat who I took a while to realise was in fact the actor who played Gambit in the Wolverine origins movie….the one film which didn't fit at all in the Timeline of the Xmen movies…Fuck this, I'm gonna get a drink.

I make my way over to the bar as I overhear the continued argument over there. Considering that it is in fact Gambit, then it is obvious that he cheated…though the question is how the hell did he get caught doing it? Aren't cards and whatever his whole thing?

"Now, now, my friend. You just didn't have the luck of the cards. There is no reason to get so bothered." Gambit answers with a smirk.

'Well, that isn't provocative at all.' I sarcastically think to myself as I order some whiskey.

Just as I'm about to take the first sip, however, I realise something else. The room has been getting warmer as I entered. It wasn't cold out, so it wasn't really necessary to heat the bar. if anything, the sudden spike I felt was more proof of the supernatural. I look over to the man who had grown so angered with Gambit's antics and my annoyance only increases.

A lot of the people in the bar started clearing out now and pretty much everyone was running. The blond pissed off guy had lifted one hand up and created a big fireball which he slowly moved closer to the now uncomfortable looking Gambit.

For some reason, I had the terrible feeling that this may have been foreshadowed. This is what I get for not giving a shit about the crap that comes on tv. During that hearing with Jeanne Gray, that smarmy senator mentioned a car being melted down here in New Mexico or something. What a lovely coincidence for that to fuck me over as well.

I curse inwardly before giving the two a look over with my mystic eyes.

Well….then, that's certainly a development

What a shitshow this is now. First I was wrong with him...not being Pyro? I mean, the movie one can still technically exist as I'm certain they had different names…other than that I'm more pissed off at the fact that Mr Sinister is here.

Looks like the pale asshole wants to get his hands on some new Mutant DNA for his Cloning Experiments. And Pyro is seemingly under mind control or something. I'm gonna be honest, I barely know about the other Xmen plots…..but wait…didn't Gambit have some OP powers that were going out of control and were then limited by Mr Sinister? And that he got them back to fight an Evil Version of himself from another world?... I mean, maybe that doesn't apply here? This world is very strange, but it hasn't had any multiversal bullshit coming it's way yet. I think that wouldn't come up then. But my Marvel knowledge needs some freshening up after all. Heck, I barely got Gambit's power right.

Which, as I'm watching now, is really weird. He threw one of the cards in front of him before they exploded in Pyro's face. But rather than killing him, it acted in a manner similar to a flashbang grenade.

Fun fact though: my ears may be ringing, but my Mystic eyes are A-OK. It lessens my overall perception loss and gives me ample time to pull out my 44'Automag. Not like my ears haven't already been damaged, so I might as well do some more by using it without protection. I'm not planning on using it just yet, but if one of them disturbs me now then they are getting some hot lead to the face.

I undo the safety in time to see the Poker Table go up in flames. Gambit jumps behind another table and throws another flurry of cards which narrowly miss Pyro, who pulls up a wall of flames in defence. This time the explosion was considerably stronger, and the shockwave shattered a good bit of glass in the pub. Including the tumbler with my whiskey in it…..now I'm getting involved.

A fusillade of small explosions sound off and the swishing noises of fire can be heard. I, on the other hand, took a towel from behind the bar and cleaned my hands. After that, I finally turned to the side only to see Gambit look at me in panic. Turns out that the fireball he had dodged was now heading towards me.

I on the other hand, nonchalantly flick out my hand and give my Water Magic a go. As if from nowhere, a wall of water was conjured and blasted towards the fireball. But it didn't stop there. The water kept flying towards Pyro as I increased its speed with the idea of having the impact break some bones at least. He was capable of reacting in time and expertly created flames to defend against said water.

The two forces collide and a cloud of steam is cast, blocking our sight. Or at least their sight, something that I intend to abuse. I raise the gun and fire.

The loud bang of the pistol is heard before a thud sounds out from the other side of the bar.

+7.000.000 Xp

Well damn. I know he was powerful, especially compared to me apparently, but damn. Behold the magic power of "Gun".

Looking to the side, I aim the gun at Gambit for a second before putting it back into my inventory. He is technically one of the good ones and I don't want to piss off Xavier any time soon. I'm certain it is inevitable, but I shouldn't go around and make enemies now.

I can do that when I'm all nice and OP.

Speaking of which, I rush through the now fading steam and practically jump towards Pyro's body. Landing next to him, I open my inventory beneath him. The body falls into the black window and I quickly open a portal next to it. I drop through it and land just in an alleyway across from the bar.

I quickly gain my bearings before gazing across the street. The sight greeting me proves, once again, that I'm in a fictional universe: the cops were already here.

Though, I admit the possibility that they could have been called beforehand is always a thing.

I straighten out my clothes and slowly exit the alleyway. I'm soon stopped by a nearby officer who was busy ushering civilians away from the scene. As I'm led away from the now burning bar, I think of the slight issues this might have caused. The fact Gambit was here would cause enough issues, but with Pyro making a scene, it's only a matter of days or maybe hours until SHIELD shows up.

I bring my hand to my face and slowly begin chewing on my nails in frustration. Gamer's mind activates before it can rise too far and I eventually start thinking of this mess. Logically speaking, this makes a bare amount of sense. Sure, Pyro was technically mentioned in that senate hearing I overheard in the news a few days ago, but to have him and Gambit show up? It reeks of a setup….the odds of something like this happening "just because" are next to nothing. Even in Marvel where these things happen, one can never be too sure.

My pondering is momentarily interrupted as I see Gambit being dragged out of the burning bar by two police officers. He must not have put up a proper fight then...or he was just tased before he could react properly. Either is possible. The fact that he will most probably be handed to SHIELD custody later on being my first concern….

I already decided not to kill him, so I can't go snuffing him out as a witness….

Maybe replace him with a demon?

I shake my head in response, 'No we can't do that. Professor X is still unknown to me and I have a feeling he might be able to figure out if Gambit's mind was replaced or something. He might even be able to tell if he was a demon.'

So what option is left then?

…..Guess I will have to talk to Coulson earlier than expected. I'm certain he will be full of questions once he gets here anyway…. Fuck, he knows about Magic now after all. I mean, SHIELD knew before, but now it's been linked to me as well. I mean, it needs to be done, but I hate it when more bullshit comes my way.

I snap out of my thoughts as I slowly watch Gambit being driven away in a police car. The first brigade of firemen have arrived and are already hard at work in putting out the flaming building. I slowly begin leaving the scene completely before being alerted to the sudden sound of screeching tires. Strangely enough, they came from nowhere close to the bar, or the police response still there but rather a small and uniquely outfitted van speeding away from the city.

It is a certain van that I easily recognize as the one belonging to Jane Foster. It leaves a small cloud of dust behind as it races away. That reaction is probably caused by a certain event that is now finally happening. Looking up to the darkening sky, I see the gathering clouds and grin at the implication.

Goldilocks is finally here.

Waiting is a pain, especially when something important is going on. As soon as I knew that Thor was finally arriving, I rushed to the clinic and put on my uniform. Getting into the night shift was easy with my newfound power within the building. The rest was, as I mentioned, a pain.

I've been waiting for hours, and the first rays of daybreak are coming out. My wait is finally over when I see the van pulling into the ER loading area. An unconscious Thor is quickly brought inside via a stretcher. Jane Foster and her entourage are meanwhile busy filling in his details. (Which they don't have)

I, on the other hand, am quick in rushing towards the stretcher and helping the nurses with the bulky god. As we enter his designated room, Orihis, in the guise of Dr Jackson begins giving him a check-up and the annoying task of examining him begins. Taking X-rays of the unconscious god was all a standard procedure and it sadly took too long for me to finally find myself alone in a room with him.

Orihis helped in clearing out the remaining staff leaving me alone with the god of thunder. The perfect opportunity for me to get some of that divine blood flowing through his veins. I bring out a syringe I had prepared for earlier and activate my mystic eyes to find a vein in his arm…..Wait, might as well right?

I look at Thor and scan his stats.

Once again, people are overpowered and way too strong. This is some serious Bullshit.

With annoyance marring my face, I stab the syringe into one of his veins, not noticing how easy the process is. It was a god after all, stabbing him with a conventional needle should have been impossible.

I'm not sure whether or not to curse my luck or to praise it. Just as I finished drawing blood, the blonde god began to wake. As he regains consciousness, his eyes eventually snap to my appearance and an anger so intense that it was nearly visible flared in his eyes.

"How dare you attack the son of Odin!" he bellows as the arm rips away, only for it to race towards my throat. Not wanting to be beaten to a pulp like the doctors in the movie, my own limbs strikeout and smash the arm away. A loud crack is ignored as I slam my own fist just beneath his throat.

To my shock, his flesh caves in like a sponge and a spew of blood flies from his mouth. His hand goes to his injured chest as wheezing coughs emanate from him. His falling down from the bed finally snaps me out of my stupor.

I spring to action and rush to his side, quickly propping him up as more blood drips from his lips. With no time to act, I do the few things I can to help.

I cast healing magic with a hand while quickly taking a Medela potion with the other. Green light illuminates his chest while I pour the golding liquid over his face. To be honest, a bit of panic may have been present on my face.

I thought he was a human right now?!

Why did you attack him like that?

'I-I-I was certain he was still a god! The power comes from him, not the Hammer! T-This shouldn't have happened! I know he was weaker but this is ridiculous!' I yell out in my mind. I continue healing Thor even as his eyes flutter in and out of consciousness.

Well, I'm no expert.

But maybe….his power was taken somehow?

...I don't have a clue to be honest.

I continue cursing in my mind as he completely goes under. It takes some time, but his chest eventually reforms. His breathing calms down and I slowly relax as all the injuries fade away. Considering I have what I wanted, I place him back on the bed. Putting things back in an orderly fashion doesn't take too long and I throw the syringe into my inventory.

I give Thor one last look before heading out of the-

Wait…..

Quickly turning around again, I look at Thor's Statsheet.

Goddamnit….This actually explains a lot. So the Hammer really isn't the source of his power….at least the universe doesn't actually retcon things later on.

I straighten out my clothes and head out of the room. Orihis quickly catches on that I'm done and beckons some nurses to follow him into the room as I pass them by. I don't bother getting out of my uniform as I leave the building. It's a snug outfit and I do kind of like it.

I check my phone and access the surveillance bugs in Dr Foster's lab. I'm quickly informed that they are still in town and are mainly busy going over the info they had gotten from the Bifrost site….They are also suddenly grabbing their things to hastily leave the building. They probably figured out that Thor was more important than they had first thought. I don't really care for them anyway, I have bigger fish to fry here.

"Miss Penning!" a sudden shout startles me. Turning to the side, I see the smiling visage of a certain SHIELD agent. Good old Coulson was here a bit earlier...though I have no idea when he was supposed to actually arrive.

He is standing next to a black sedan and is more or less waving me towards him. Considering that he is being kind enough not to shoot at me, I might as well show him the same courtesy of not running away.

It doesn't take long for me to cross the street and eventually approach him with a little smile on my face. He takes in my little Nurse get-up and new hairstyle with a strained smile before he eventually lets out an exhausted breath.

"It certainly has been some time Penning. A bit more than the week that you promised though," he says with a somewhat judgemental look that evaporates my confidence.

Raising my hand to the back of my head, I give out my little attempt at an apology, "Right...I said a week and it's been-"

"A good month Penning." He interrupts me.

I give out a small laugh in response, "Ahaha..Right. I will admit, my prediction was a bit wrong there. To be fair I barely expected it to take this long myself. Otherwise, I wouldn't have stayed undercover for so long."

As I finish that little explanation, he gives my get-up another lookover with a bit of his attention going to my hair and eyes. It does make me suspect something.

I slowly ask, "Coulson?... You called out to me as you had already found me out and were coming to confront me right?"

He stares in confusion before eventually giving a proper grin of his own, "Not at all, I was here to check on the Mutant that was arrested yesterday and then head out of town. I just happened to see you walk by. Good work on the hair though, it's a good trick, but it is something Romanov does regularly. One does eventually look for it."

With the confession given, I only hang my head in defeat. Just to make sure I ask, "So my cover I spent hours making and weeks living in wasn't even seen? I mean, I knew you guys would see through it, but to just be found by accident? Are you kidding me?"

Ok, this was getting weird. I mean, I can understand it to a degree, but the probabilities of this happening were far too unlikely. Something or someone was interfering...

Coulson eventually gives a kind smile, "I'm guessing you made quite the effort for it...Mind telling me about it on the way?" He states while gesturing to his car.

Rather than asking like a dummy, I quickly conclude what he might mean, "We're going to the little Anomaly that showed up out in the desert yesterday then?"

A small sigh is heard as I move to the side of the car and open the door, "Of course you knew about it. Apparently, you knew about it earlier as well. Weeks in advance at that actually."

I simply nod as I enter the car and close the door on the passenger's side. He is quick to follow and enters the car as well before continuing, "Have you added some kind of precognition ability to your repertoire then?"

The humming of the now running engine is accompanied by a bit of laughter coming from me,

"Hah! As if, Coulson. I was just trying my luck at divination and got a bit lucky. being a bit off on the timeframe was to be expected."

His eyebrows widen for a bit as he drives the car through the small city. "...So you are an actual Witch then. I admit that was quite the revelation, but it still leaves a lot of questions open….Though…My Boss, Director Fury wanted to be present in your Debriefing. For now, I have another assignment I have to handle. While this wouldn't be official or recorded, I wouldn't mind if we began speaking of some of the more prevalent subjects."

The car soon moves out to the open road and we find ourselves on the way to the Hammer's crash site. His little statement there was honestly the reason I like Coulson. Allowing me to talk to him without issue was something I really needed. SHIELD is dangerous and messing up with them means HYDRA has more to fight me with later on.

...Time to start. "Well then. What will we talk of first Phil?"

He considers this for a few seconds before asking, "This divination, I'm assuming it is a teachable skill then?"

I nod, "Yeah, but Magic can't be done by anyone and Divination is not exact or clear at all. It's all about Crystal balls and Teacups. Not generally reliable, but I had a little stroke of luck in knowing what would go down here. And no, the Mutant thing yesterday had nothing to do with it surprisingly. It just happened to...well, happen."

"A freak coincidence then?... Well, I can't say it's something new, especially this week. Let's just say it has been frustrating." Coulson slowly answers.

Oh right! This was Fury's bad week. Sure some changes have occurred, but it still means that the events of Captain America, Thor and Iron man 2 are taking place right now. Originally Hulk was a part of it as well, but that is obviously impossible.

"On another note," Coulson continues, "Romanov wants to thank you for giving her that music box. You could say she owes you a favour. Nothing too serious of course such as an assassination or theft... but she says she would be willing to help with any request."

I ponder the info for a bit before asking, "Sounds lovely….There a reason for us to only discuss light stuff like this?"

"I thought we could get some of the more light stuff out of the way before we began talking about the hard stuff," Coulson states as the City fades from the rearview. "Fine then, something more serious then. Why are we here?"

I lean back in my chair for a second before I answer, "It's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don't know, man, but it keeps me up at night…."

Coulson takes his eyes from the road for a split second as he stares at me, "...What... I mean why are we out here, in this desert? I mean, concerning the Meteor crash….."

"Oh. Uh... yeah." I answer while scratching the back of my neck.

"What was all that stuff about God?" he quickly asks.

"Uh...hm? Nothing." I say with a shrug.

"You wanna talk about it?.. I thought demons or something existed. Doesn't that mean-?"

I cut him off before he can continue, "Yes….and no. It's complicated….Though it is relevant to why we are here."

He ponders the question for just a bit before asking once more, "Demons again? or something Mystical? A cult then?"

"A God actually," I state as I stare out the window.

The car swerves for a minute second before he looks at me again with a strange look.

"Yes, A god, not GOD god. Newsflash, Gods are real. more or less all of the older religions exist. Norse, Christian, Egyptian, Shinto and so on and on. But we don't want an existential crisis spreading, which is why these things are kept secret. Now on to what is going on. The relevant pantheon today is the Norse one-"

"Wait for just a second!" he exclaims as he puts his left hand up for me to stop. The car slows down to safer levels as he pinches the centre of his brows in frustration. I guess springing that onto someone, SHIELD agent or not, will still affect them.

He gathers his thoughts for a bit before speaking once more, "I...I understand that is not something to gloss over, but perhaps we should speak of this after the relevant things have been taken care of…..You mentioned the Norse gods. Why don't we focus on that now and talk about the more prevalent things when Director Fury can be with us?"

I smirk a bit in return as I remark, "What? Don't have the stomach for such higher concepts?"

"Ï don't have the paygrade actually. Certainly not the clearance…..These things should be discussed in a less hectic time in the presence of Fury. If there isn't anything else we ought to talk about, I'd prefer focusing on the mission."

My smirk fades at that, I wasn't sure how to approach the heavy stuff, but I can't have it happen like this. I lean over to his side and stare directly at his face, making him uncomfortable on purpose. "Coulson. I don't think you have considered just how dicey this situation is.

The Mages do not Trust SHIELD. I do not trust SHIELD. If you want an honest talk, then you can't do it the usual way. The only people I trust in your organisation are Fury, Romanov, Barton and yourself. The rest? Well, I am not spilling anything if they have access to it."

His expressions remain neutral as he prepares his statement, "Moira….We aren't the bad guys. If you trust the leadership, then you can trust SHIELD. We are-"

"You killed Kennedy" I interrupted him.

Once again the car swerves for a bit before eventually, he questions, "You need to elaborate that, please. SHIELD was one of the parties investing-"

"The Winter Soldier killed him, along with countless other targets. and while not on the books, he is a SHIELD asset by definition. Sure you don't know it Coulson, but you are infested with rats. The MACUSA simply couldn't afford to involve themselves with that." I tell him with a confident voice. It was the kind meant to show just how serious I really was about this.

"You can't just claim that without any evidence, Penning! The Winter Soldier is a damn myth. Only Romanov's testimony ever gave us anything definitive and even then it is questionable." Coulson quickly interjects.

Letting out a small sigh, I lean back into the leather seat once more," Well this is going to take a while then…."

30 minutes later

Outskirts of Puente Antigue

Jeanne Dark.

Things have gone about as expected.

You mean Blowing Coulson's mind so much that he had to take notes?

No….I meant the truckers out here, grilling food and drinking beer as they try to lift Mjolnir. Coulson was sort of expected, but still fun.

Was it wise to not just flat out tell him about HYDRA?

One can only get so far without actual evidence. Pointing out some issues and shady behaviour within the ranks of SHIELD is just the first step. I'm just glad I was able to steer the conversation back to Norse gods being real. He was quite open to the idea of a political Exile and God of thunder coming around. The God bits I personally think it was good not to tell him just who Thor is or what he looks like,

But Funny how that is currently more believable than a splinter faction living within an intelligence agency.

This world is weird.

And foraging through your memories of it is tedious.

At least watch the movies, will you?

...Fine

'Good girl.' I think with a smile as I finish my conversation with SYSTEM. I look over the crater while also eavesdropping on Coulson's phone call...which was a decent bit away from me.

"Sir, we found it. I've met Penning on the way and she is currently with me. If what she has told me of this is true, then we may…" I tune out the rest of the call.

I finally find the one I'm looking for. Just at the side of the crater sits a certain pickup truck that has had its back half ripped off by a chain attached to the Hammer.

I prepare myself for the confrontation and whisper into the air, "Old man, We need to talk."

A silent crack echoes across the desert as every being comes to a full stop. Every being is frozen in space. Nothing is moving. Specks of sand are stuck in the air. It makes it conclusive that time has stopped. For all except two people. Me, and the man whose ass I want to kick but sadly can't.

And what could you be interested in my dear?

I huff out in annoyance as I approach the broken Pickup and face the Old man grinning back at me.

"What's with the sour face doll?" he states with a knowing chuckle. He's wearing a baseball cap and his eyes are hidden behind sunglasses. I can practically picture the smug expression inside them.

"And what reason would I have for being smug Jeanne." He continued giggling to himself.

I finally boil over and speak my mind to the old coot, You know exactly Why!" he pauses for a sec, leaving me time to continue, "The fucking Mutants in town! Coulson finding me by accident! My luck is better than that! Coincidences like that don't happen on their own! So tell me what you want-" before I can finish my sentence, the car before me simply vanishes from existence.

Just as I take it in, the ground, sky and everything around me simply vanishes from sight. A silent black void is all that is left.

A sense of panic does ensue at the sudden shift in scenery. The true panic only came in after I realized that all I had was gone. My magic, my Skills, my Inventory…..My GAME...Even SYSTEM…

It was all gone.

I have shown you more kindness than I would do for most Beings, Jeanne. That does not however grant you the right to give me any kind of back-sass.

A golden gust of wind blast me from behind and it nearly rips me from my feet. Before toppling over, I am able to right my footing and quickly turn around to see…... Him.

It wasn't the Form of Stan Lee..or any other person for that matter. To me, he appears only as a golden shape, radiating all sorts of power. This was him. His True Form I imagine.

The One above all.

I know what is to do here. The earlier dialogue was obvious as to what was going on. So I do the only viable thing I can.

I fall to my knees and lower my head in the form of apology. The wind's intensity does pick up for a few seconds, making me bow even lower in apology. Pinching my eyes in fear, I remain silent before the wrathful god before me.

The vengeful wind eventually dies down and the surroundings around us return to their old state. I slowly raise my head, carefully aware that all of my gamer abilities were still gone.

"Good, at least you are capable of using common sense. Pride is never that good of a trait to have." The voice of the old man says as he chuckles a bit more.

Thinking the situation may have calmed down, I try to ask him my question. The sudden sensation of my lips having melded together quickly prevents this though. My hands fly to my face and I quickly realize that my mouth has somehow completely disappeared.

"No need for you to talk Jeanne, I see your Soul. I know any question you may have for me before you can ask it'…..Now then"

A chair suddenly appears behind the old man and he seats himself without delay. He gives me a small smile as he begins to speak anew, "The first Question obviously. Why am I interfering with you to such an extent?" He chuckles to himself as if he was in on some big joke only he knew.

"Simple Jeanne. Our deal was for me to keep the gods off your back, and you ensure this reality remains entertaining. You seem to have forgotten your part of the deal.

You have been boring. Sure you have your moments, but they are few. You keep your changes to a minimum and are careful in every step. You restrain your presence too much. A being of chaos acting for the sake of order. It is something nonsensical.

I don't care for this.

I want things to have more drama, a bit more action and death. I want the hard-fought victories, the near defeats, the brutality, the raw reality of it all. So don't think me a benevolent god. I do not pick sides, I have no champions. So keep that in mind when it comes to our agreement.

...Oh my, it seems I have gotten a bit worked up…." the intensity dies down and I can eventually see his figure again. The terrifying being was fading, the appearance of the kind elderly man taking his place once more.

He gives a little smile as he continues, "Well anyway, things need to move along though, and I have decided to spice things up just a little bit. Don't worry, the Mutants are the least of your problems for now…..I shouldn't say too much actually, don't want to spoil any surprises for when you are here... So, have fun with Coulson and don't hurt Thor too much...or maybe do! Whatever it is, I hope you will put on a show! I've also left you a little gift to help you out! And with that, I'm off! Excelsior!"

With a sudden crack, time begins to flow once more, the only difference being the absence of OAA. his pickup was gone and it seems no one even noticed his disappearance….I myself am still on my knees trying to catch my breath. My mouth is back to normal and I can feel my magical energy return to me. As I recover, I hear a small sound that eventually grows louder. it's a voice calling out my name, its clarity increasing with every second. The voice finally reaches me.

Jeanne! Can you hear me?

SYSTEM...You're ok?

What the hell are you saying. I've been calling out to you ever since we got stuck in that void. OAA got in somehow and guessing by your reaction, you were made unaware of me and the GAME.

The things that SYSTEM tells me combined with a few select words that the old man had said lead me to a singular conclusion. Something I didn't address for quite some time.

'System...can you ensure He doesn't listen in on our conversation now?' I ask within my mind. I hear a small giggle from her and a strange feeling of comfort washes over my body.

Who do you take me for? I've been analysing his presence any time he came close or contacted us and I came up with a few tricks. It takes more than an omnipotent being to get past me….well not quite, but I at least bought us two minutes of privacy.

Good. Then I need to ask. The old man stated he could see my soul...does that mean he couldn't break through Gamer's mind?

Correcto Boss!

Gamer's mind is an impenetrable defence no matter what. the mechanics of this reality do allow it to be circumvented via the soul. The question as to why even OAA couldn't break through is simple.

The figurative lightbulb in my mind goes off as I realize the significance of this. 'We came first. When I choose Marvel, the GAME created a Universe just for me. OAA was created by it, not the other way around.

That's why I like you boss, Quick with the brain, unlike your predecessors.

The One above all is the strongest being in Marvel. Sure this reality has been given some new things as well, but outside of this Multiverse, He holds no Power. You will eventually have it though. And Something for you to know. I figured out his true level.

My playing around with him on Lucifer's level allowed me to analyse him as well and I've finally gone through all the data.

His Level is at a good round 5000

….What…...You cant be serious SYSTEM? That is way too low!

Not at all Boss.

Though, you may have a rather skewed perception of levels now that I think of it. Well, I have finally been able to sort things out and have made a working Model.

Here we are.

let's begin with the standard power level.

LV 0-100 describe Human Possibility. From special forces to Martial Artists. Without supernatural means, they will never grow past Level 100

Next up is LV 101-400

This one includes most people.

Mutants, Mutates, Supersoldiers, Minor demons, medium demons and wizards are all to be found here. While powerful or Highly specialized, they are still a step below the next ones. Rogue and simple Devils or angels are also within this bracket

Now to LV 401- 800

These include superior Mutates such as the big green HULK. Demigods and Omega level Mutants Are here as well. On the Mystical side of things, We have most of the devils and angels are here along with some Shitty gods too.

After that, we get the big boys LV 801+

Gods, abstract beings, Ultimate devils, The celestials and a few other Galactic Scale Assholes are included here.

The absolute Peek of it all is the Old man himself clocking in At LV 5000

This….is certainly informative. I'm not gonna lie SYSTEM, this would have been helpful quite some time ago. Why am I getting it now?

Because I needed to get the Data to calculate these of course!
I can't just make these up willy nilly. Only after I got contact with a sample of various branches was I able to truly incorporate a power spectrum.

It may have taken a while, but we are finally here.

That we are SYSTEM. This means a lot. It also means that he can't control us forever. Once we are done here, Protection of the Soul comes next. It probably won't do much against him, but I will take any defence I can to just slow him down.

You got it Boss. Good to be on the same page, we are nearly out of time anyway.

On another note though…..SYSTEM. Do we want to make him our enemy?

Judging by what I know of your personality, no.

and frankly, he is rather friendly. Today was just an exception as you were being quite rude.

And how exactly did I do that?

"Old man! We need to talk"

Well, I mean…. Fine, I guess you're right.

Of course, I am

…..Moving on, the plan is to remain friends with him, even if we find a way to block his influence on us.

Pretty much.

And dont just move on. that is rude Jeanne.

You cant just skip a conver-

Shit.

We're out of time.

Let's continue this another day Boss.

Dropping the cover In 3...2...1!

I sigh as the cool sensation fades away and focus on my surroundings again. Just in time too, it seems. Coulson was approaching me with a wary eye and came to a stop just next to me," Everything alright there Penning? I take my eyes off of you for a second and I see you kneeling in the dirt."

While joking, I do see a bit of genuine concern in his eyes. I quickly dust myself, suddenly startles by the something green lying before me. lying on the ground was a green shrub, the kind you wouldn't find here in the south. It was a Mistletoe.

I was rather certain this hadn't been here before, so I'm assuming that this is what the One above all left for me. I quickly scan it with my eyes.

Mistletoe

Quality: common

Condition: freshly shorn

Unique attribute: none

It….was entirely normal? The hell?...Might as well put it into my inventory then. A dark portal appears before me, to Coulson's surprise of course and I deposit the Shrub into my inventory.

I finally answer the agent staring at my back," Just a bit of Backlash from analysing the Hammer. It happens when it comes to gods and their stuff….Probably. The Mistletoe was from me and….It's hard to explain. To be fair, there aren't really any experts on this sort of stuff after all. I mean I've only seen one other godly object just once before and….well, it was different."

Considering I hadn't done it before, I Should do it now. I activate my mystic eyes and observe the Hammer.

Mjolnir (Divine Construct)

Quality: Dwarven made

Components: 81% Uru, 11% Yew wood , 8% Asgardian treated leather

Condition: Personality evaluation/ Identification Enchantment ( Will Be locked in Space should unauthorized Sentients try to move it,)

Unique attribute: Amplifies All magic channelled through it by a factor of 10. Magical energy equivalent to 500.000.000 Units of Mana can be stored within it.

[Note] Current Energy make up: 78% Divine Electromancy, 22% Divine Necromancy

Now, this is interesting. Its capabilities are far greater than I imagined, but to think that it still holds a decent portion of Hela's Magic. I wonder if it had any effect on the damage it gives out. Does it make the thing more Lethal? If so, I could imagine That even immortal beings might be harmed by that Weapon. I wanted something like this….So I begin peering into the weapon even more, analysing its makeup and time of creation. every Hit of a Hammer and Grunt by a dwarf. I take it all in.

The following Skills have Levelled up

Blacksmithing LV 23-100..

Blacksmithing 100 has evolved into Blacksmithing (Advanced) LV 1

Blacksmithing (Advanced) LV 1-46

Enchantment (Expert) LV 22-87

New sub-skills are available: Create medium enchantment, Destroy medium enchantment, modify medium enchantment, Create major enchantment, Destroy major enchantment, modify major enchantment. Norse runes added to vocabulary.

The following skill has been created

Blunt Weapon Mastery LV 89

Now this is progress. Mystic eyes always gave some bullshit edge and these ones are really paying off. With enough time, I could create a greater sword and even begin forging armou-

"Penning, what do you recommend we do here?" Agent Coulson asks next to me as he stares to the crash site. The truckers have been slowly noticing our presence and have started giving Coulson an odd look here and there.

I shrug before eventually stating, "Firstly, thank you for asking me, as I do know a thing or two. Secondly, I'm hoping the rest of SHIELD isn't too far behind because we need to lock this place down."

He stares in mild concern and asks, "What do you mean, is there a danger?"

Shaking my head, I continue, "Not quite. The Hammer itself isn't that dangerous but might emit radiation. The biggest issue is that we can't actually move it from this place and we want civilians as far away from this site as possible. Think that can be managed?"

He nods before pulling out his phone once more, "Certainly. We should get it done by the evening…. Fury will be here by then. I'm hoping that conversation will bring about some progress with our other issues at least."

I stop in thought before eventually shaking my head, "It can't be helped. This meeting has been coming for a long time after all….I guess it is time to play with the pirate then." Silence falls as a Cheshire grin forms on my face. Messing with Fury is going to be fun. I have him and SHIELD by the Balls with the threat of a rabbit MACUSA backing me. I for one am not afraid to point that out.

Gonna admit, SHIELD is efficient. It took them barely any time at all to secure the site and bring in all the equipment they needed… or specifically what they pilfered from Foster's lab. Either way, they were good.

I was basically under supervision this entire time, but at least not with guns pointed at me. I consider that a good sign. Coulson talked to me more about the situation at hand. Specifically the subject of Asgard and its interference on earth. I left out the parts of Thor being in town, but they know to keep an eye out at least.

I was currently in one of the rooms of the newly built base and have been left pretty much on my own. It's an interrogation room obviously, with two guards watching me from behind a one-way mirror on one side of the room. I occasionally smirk at them and give a little wink, enjoying their reactions. They do eventually get used to it though, taking all fun away from me. They probably expected it anyway, as I do believe that SHIELD has a better idea of what my powers are.

They shouldn't have too much on me if I'm being honest. Invisibility, healing...enhanced strength and maybe the eyes.

And Magic

Oh, right. Magic too….. speaking of which, my mystic eyes which have been looking through the base finally gaze upon the bald head of a certain director. He approaches the door to the room and opens it just in time to see me place my feet over the table in a lazy manner.

Rather than getting up, I simply wave at him with a cheeky smile," Heyo Director Fury! A pleasure to finally meet you in person!"

He gives me the signature glare he can do and slowly moves towards the chair across the table. seating himself, he begins," I wouldn't call it a pleasure, but it was about time we finally met." He tilts his head just a bit in order to enhance his menacing aura, "You have been a pain to find and an even greater pain to keep under wraps Penning. So please have the decency to make this worth my time."

I would be intimidated if it wasn't for certain things. such as them not being able to hurt me or the fact that he simply isn't that special. Sure he was menacing and all that, but he can only back it up with SHIELD. An organisation that doesn't pose that big of a threat.

So I will give him the respect he deserves from me. Not more, not less.

"It certainly is worth your time. You get an excuse to do your job instead of Spying on every civilian of the world. I wonder how many laws you have actually broken? " I state with a smug grin

His one-eyed glare intensifies, before Seating himself on the opposite side of the table. he places a large folder onto the cold metal plate before saying," We break laws and violate rights for the sake of protecting the people of this world from threats that are beyond them. Threats like you, Penning."

The Folder is opened and continues on," From the moment you showed up, you were on our radar.

The kidnapping of Dr Samuel Sterns as well as the theft of research materials pertaining to the Enhanced individual Bruce Banner. The Murder of Three trained SHIELD agents and the student Edward Smith, who had been present at the scene. You then continued the research with no supervision and have experimented on an untold number of people under illegal conditions.

This was only the first case!" He grumbles with an aggravated tone.

My smirk cracks for just a second. not due to me being called out, but rather the fact that it simply angered me. Fury was one of those after all. the type of person who will strip you of any rights and will break any laws for what he considers "Good". So him confronting me about this was downright annoying if one compares it to what they would have done to Sterns. In the original MCU he was Frozen to be experimented on. As expected, he was never heard from again.

Rather than speaking up, I'd rather just have him continue though. "Don't even get me started on the rest. Breaking into Private Property, assault of an agent, evading arrest, Deals with the Black market that could have ended with the Death of Tony Stark, Captain America and countless civilians…The Acquisition of Powerful Technologies and a hidden Industrial base to develop these..And now! You bring the issue of the MACUSA, Demons and apparently Aliens onto our doorstep!"

My feet drop from the table as I sit up straight to respond," Now be fair, The last three are things that would have happened even without my input. The MACUSA will eventually figure out you know of their presence and they will not take it well. They are firmly convinced that it would endanger them. Danger's such as Witch hunts and burnings were actually mentioned, for your knowledge."

"And this is where you will become the bridge between them and us, right? Gaining some diplomatic immunity in the process so we won't try you for your crimes?" He quickly interjects with his glare ever increasing.

My own tone grows more heated now. I know what my cards are and I am not afraid to play them," So what if you know as to why I'm doing this? In the end I'm your contact to the MACUSA and I will define their first impression of you. For better or for worse, you can't do anything about that. So don't bother getting angry. about it. And Demons are a real threat, you should be glad I even brought it to your attention. Not even the MACUSA are properly equipped to fight them after all. Lastly, Aliens. They aren't anything new and don't pretend they aren't."

He ponders that for just a second before stating," The Tesseract may have been of Extraterrestrial origin, but that is hardly of similar scale to-"

"I'm sorry, what were you lying?" I cut in with an annoyed tone. He merely tilts his head to prompt me to continue. I oblige him of course," Speaking of the tesseract, as it is of Asgardian origin, it is something the more magical aspects would like to keep track of. So don't blame people when we take note of It being taken by Fucking Kree!"

His eye widens for a split second, before glaring at me once more. He also realizes that this conversation shouldn't be heard by most people in the observation room so he focuses on coming back to the topic at hand. The events concerning the Kree and Skrull incidents need to be kept secret after all. He stares at me for a few seconds before finally asking, "What is your true deal Penning? You do bad, yet try to befriend us. You claim to have a greater enemy, but this hardly explains your actions. A desire for power? Sure. But the actions you have taken to the detriment of that simply make no sense."

I stare into his lone eye for a few seconds before making my decision. I lean back into the chair and stare at the ceiling. Letting out a small breath, I begin." Might as well tell the truth then. I..I have no big goals to be honest. No plans of World domination or destruction. In the grand scale of thing….my goals are incredibly simple. I wish to enjoy all life has to offer. Riches, Success, Knowledge, Power, Pleasure and comfort. These are the things I desire over all else….And Beings greater than myself stand against that goal. either from Petty interests or actually reasons, I am being thwarted…So I decided on a path."

"A path to power? A path without care or concern for those around you?" Fury questions me.

Looking at him once more, I simply nod," Yes. That is why I went along this path with you as well. Let's face it, SHIELD may not be able to kill or hurt me, but you would still be able to find me with enough time. And then you could expose me...So I wanted to be in a situation where you would gain nothing from that."

Understanding is seen in Fury's face as he answers in turn," So..The serum that can regrow limbs, the Arc Reactor for Stark, the knowledge of Demons and negotiations with SHIELD. All so we wouldn't make you our enemy."

I nod in turn," Yeah...It wasn't my plan at first. My plan was to simply avoid you and continue in the Shadows...This was simply not possible however. As I said, I simply didn't care for others. Still don't. You could say that I had to though. In my desire for power, I came across a Plot of an ancient god. The kind that no one can predict, understand or even fight on proper terms. As I learned of him, he learned of me aswell-."

"And therefore he was your enemy. I still don't like the fact that you are being so cryptic about this. This is a threat greater than we can imagine right? One that you apparently don't even want to tell us off!" He yelled out with a slam to the table. This was technically the most important bit of it all after all, so his reaction was understandable.

"I didn't tell you because you simply can't do anything about it. I would rather have that SHIELD focuses on issues on its own level." I simply state.

"And what makes you think you have that level of power?" He asks with a questioning stare.

Chuckling for a bit n before eventually answering, I say" I don't but I still have a chance…., " I stare at the side before continuing my thoughts," I might be powerful enough to stop it soon.…. But I guess it can't hurt to at least give you a name. Being cryptic just because I want to would be a bit childish at this point...The God in question is called Angra Mainju."

He continues to stare for a second before questioning, "And what does this "God" want exactly?"

I scoff at his reaction, "Don't take the title lightly. He is a god. Not a fully powerful one, but a god none the less...And as to what he wants?... It is nothing simple like annihilation or oppression, but rather….I would say his goal is to bathe humanity in every evil imaginable. A better explanation is simply not possible. I would recommend that SHIELD does its own research on the matter. But for now, we have more pressing matters."

Quick side note, it started raining outside. It doesn't mean much to them, but it does mean that I ought to hurry up.

I lean forward in the chair and gesture with my hands," It is concerning us now….I am more than willing to help SHIELD with any issue pertaining the mystical side of the world as well as any extraterrestrial threats. The one going on here in new Mexico taking precedence. I will help you with the issues concerning the MACUSA and any complications involved with that. I'm willing to share some of the technological improvements I have made….. The reason I wish to help is the fact that we do have one little world we all live in and some threats do endanger it…"

"And your hedonistic lifestyle with it…..That certainly explains things." He interrupts.

While my points were valid, I knew I needed more to win his favour. While uncertain if he noticed me using my manipulation skills and subtle telepathy to boost his reasons to trust me, I continued on anyway. His mind is like a brick wall and twisting it is nigh impossible. the subtle influences here and there weren't quite unnatainable. I technically repeated myself in that little speech there to make it look like I was offering far more than I actually am. I plan to operate alone, but I don't want SHIELD getting in the way anymore, so we might as well get some sort of cordial relationship going. In the end, they might even be helpful.

"...In return for my help...and my resources, I want SHIELD to stop investigating me. Just as you have secrets, so do I. Respect mine and I will respect yours. Maybe grant the odd request here and there as well and we might have ourselves an alliance. And don't worry, you are of course allowed to deny those requests, but I will obviously not be too happy about that…... How does that sound!?" I clap my hands with an enthusiastic tone.

As expected, Fury doesn't quite like it. He continues to glare for a few more seconds before finally answering," I will go out on a limb and trust you on this. Your help here better be worth it Penning. Don't Make me regret it" He states with a tone of finality.

Respecting his right to the last word, I simply nod in return. This should get them off my back now. At long last.

I will be more careful in my illegal activities, but this does give me the connections I require. And hey, they might even be able to help me find the Holy Grail in the end. If not, then it isn't that big a problem. I will be getting it eventually.

The Rain outside has been increasing for a while now and the thirst cracks of thunder have finally begun. A certain someone has come for his Hammer after all.

Just in time, an Agent rushes into the room. He takes no time to catch his breath and quickly stammers out, "Director Fury, sir! .I..I You should see this! The O84 is beginning to emit Electromagnetic waves of unprecedented strength and even slight radiation spikes."

It takes no time for Fury to Get up from his chair with me hot on his heels. He gives me a small look, probably considering the order to look me in this room for the time being but he quickly decides against it.

It also takes me a while to remember that O84 is their word for unknown objects. It is cool to see some Agents of SHIELD stuff show up here and there too be honest.

We move out into the corridors with Barton and Coulson soon following us to the surveillance room.

The Alarms start blaring with an announcement following soon after," There has been an intrusion at the south-west Perimeter, two guards have been knocked unconscious and the assailant is at large within the base."

A grin forms on my face in response, something noticeable by the others. They will have to wait for explanations for now. We have a god to capture.

Author's note: So, I wanted to finish the arc with this chapter, but I am burning out. I just can't write this story right now. At least not coherently, so I apologize if this chapter is trash. While I do have a lot of plans for it (Heck, I have the next 5 arcs completely planned out and everything) Right now my brain is just not giving me something decent here.

So I will be taking a break from this story for a while. that is the Idea. It won't be abandoned.

I will probably focus on the side story for a bit or actually start a pure Fate Fic as a Dead Apostle I have been thinking about.

Either way, sorry about this.
