He was dead, dead to the world. Everyone said that he'd died in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic. In fact he'd been dead for years, ever since the Dark Lord killed Lily and James. Sirius Black's body had been locked away in Azkaban, but his soul was long gone.

Only a few years ago, after the escape from Azkaben, did part of it come back. Harry had learned that he was innocent; James's son knew he was innocent. On top of that, it was revealed that Peter Petagrew was still alive. He'd escaped but there was always time to find him.

Then, he'd fallen trough the curtain, and it all ended. Several months later in Siberia, he'd gotten word that Dumbledore was dead and Snape had killed him. Severus Snape, the one who was teased in school, the one who had told the Dark Lord the prophecy, the one Dumbledore had sworn was on their side, had killed him.

A few days ago a letter arrived from Snape. It said that he needed help. The man who killed Dumbledore needed his help. Every part of him wanted to send back a letter with a Blast-Ended Skrewt. But there was something that made him stop.

McGonagall, Lupin, Potter, everyone is in danger. They wouldn't trust me. The only person they'd trust would be Dumbledore, but you'll have to do. We're the only ones who know what he was planning. Now the Dark Lord is planning his final assault. Need I remind you that if you don't follow the plan, many will die? Feel free to have that on your conscience Black.

Snape must be referring to the plan Dumbledore had told them before the Dark Lord had attacked the Department of Mysteries. That plan was the last resort. Then again, Dumbledore was dead and the Order was suffering. There was no way that they could defeat the Dark Lord now. But how could he trust Snape?

"If anything happens to me, you two are the only ones who can finish this. It must not be placed on Harry."

He might not like the guy, but Dumbledore's orders were more important than school grudges. The letter had them meeting in Paris tomorrow. They had to meet.

Who would have thought it? Snivellus and Padfoot saving the world together.

A/N: Another short story. Please don't send any flames if you disagree with my idea. I know it probably won't happen, but younever know. Other than that, feel free to review.
