When you've been around for what feels like forever, you have lots of time to think, and lots of little ideas of how to grow in the ways you can manage to.
And well, Zeno's always loved animals; their natural ways of expressing affection, the way it looks almost freeing when they do. Stumbling upon a family of bunnies was similar to caring for injured boar piglets and returning them to their families. Just it's easy to get lost in the gentleness, the easy way time ebbs and flows.
And yet, moments like these remind Zeno of Abi, in particular, who always seemed to have a way with animals, from his trusty bird companion and on, Abi was kind that way. And being so close to animals gave Zeno plenty of time to reminisce about one of his Dragon Warrior brothers, the one that didn't open up easy to the others, but was caring in the little ways.
And when Zeno grows tired and warm fuzz warms him from the bunnies that nestle close to him, it's memories and dreams that flood his mind. The past isn't nearly as far gone nor as forgotten right now, not when he can remember Abi so clearly and remember those years by Hiryuu's side, protecting their king.
