Grand Theft Auto: The Innocent Rose.

Chapter 10: Downfall Part 3: Desperate Escape.

Vercetti Estate Corridors.

"Yes Rosa… the friend you lied to and dismissed when we asked you for help even though we barely knew you! You pushed us towards Ender and his Haitian Gang" Angelo spoke grimly; his tone one of accusation as he spoke directly to Rosa from behind the barrel of his gun.

"I don't understand! Why are you helping The Haitians? They killed your friend Becky without mercy!" Rosa spoke via pleading; desperately trying to learn what happened to her friends after her coldness and refusing to give them sensitive information.

"Do not speak her name! you didn't care about her then and you don't care about her now!" Angelo barked as soon as Rosa spoke Becky's name; his finger twitching on the trigger for he was ready to truly shoot Rosa despite that Douglas wanted her alive.

"You cared for Becky… didn't you?" Rosa quickly realised what Becky had meant to Angelo; invoking her name in hopes of talking him down.

"I said don't speak her name!" Angelo screamed; firing his gun at the floor, the bullet leaving a small smoking hole in the carpet right next to Rosa's left foot.

"So why you and Sarah driving around that night a week ago?" Rosa questioned; recalling that on the night she'd first met Lucas and Marco she had driven past Angelo and Sarah while she'd been giving Angelo oral sex.

"We were in an open relationship; she didn't care what I did as long as I fucked her from time to time" Angelo spoke so coldly and crudely about his friend then even Lucas motioned towards his own Pistol that he'd kept holstered until now.

"Speaking of… where is Sarah? Is she attacking the Estate too?" Rosa asked; her tone of voice one of concern for the same woman who only four days ago had been shouting and screaming in her face.

"No; she's not… she's likely resting after everyone she'd been in bed with the last four days since we reunited with Ryder after leaving your shithole of a house" Angelo spoke with a smile so wicked that his implication was made perfectly clear to anyone present.

Rosa could only stare back at Angelo before a sudden realisation struck her; but before she could speak her outrage that Angelo and Ryder would allow their friend to be subjected to such violation Rosa felt a hand touch her shoulder, Lucas stepped forwards along with a near-blurring motion of his right arm followed by the sounds of two gunshots.

"ARGHH! You fucking shot me?!" Angelo screamed; falling onto his back with a bleeding bullet wound in both legs causing blood to flow down the lines of his honed leg muscles.

"Of course I did; not only are you a poor excuse for a friend but you wasted your chance to shoot me… but I won't kill you because you can still learn the error of your ways and choose the right path, don't follow us or you'll regret it" Lucas spoke with such resolve that Angelo stared up at him with an expression of grimace but his eyes showed that he was thinking of what he'd been told.

Rosa stared at Lucas with a sudden rush in her heart rate; all other thoughts momentarily vanished when she stared at his back for the heat she'd felt when they met after saving her life, when seeing him in that Mechanic's Garage, and again in Her Father's Office, she knew how she felt now and she was in love with Lucas.

Marco's voice broke Rosa out from her lovestruck stupor and Lucas turned his back on Angelo while he lay bleeding into the carpet, "We need to get moving; we only have a limited amount of time to escape".

The trio kept heading down the corridor while Angelo's painful screams echoed off the walls though the sounds of gunfire became much dimmer as if the fighting had stopped, the trio only coming to a halt upon reaching a large square-shaped staircase that reached both down into The Gardens and up toward The Helipad.

"But aren't we heading towards the Dock where Boss' Squalo Speedboat is? Why not use that Helicopter on the roof?" Lucas spoke up; knowing there was a much faster option than the Speedboat

"Because there is still a pair of Haitians with Rocket Launchers out there; but I have a plan for that though it will be rather costly… I only need one minute" Marco spoke slowly; raising his fingers to his own earpiece communicator before heading back into the corridor for some privacy.

"That might be more than we can afford… don't take too long" Rosa stated; glancing back down the corridor while listening to Angelo's howls of pain from his bullet wounds and his very likely torn leg muscles.

"Lucas… why didn't you kill Angelo? You had a perfect shot?" Rosa enquired; surprising herself in her questioning of whether her past-friend should have been killed there and then.

"That guy was awful; death is too good for some people while merely wounding them is more than enough to hurt their pride"

Rosa thought on what Lucas said regarding how death is too good for some; he wondered if Ryder or Douglas would be deserving of such mercy but those thoughts only served as a distraction right now and she needed to be on her toes.

Marco rounded the corner again exactly one minute after leaving to make a call; his earpiece held between his fingers before tossing it away for he no longer needed it, "Ok; I finished the call".

"We better hurry to the Speedboat; I don't know how long Boss can hold off The Haitians" Lucas spoke up; giving an affirming nod toward both Marco and Rosa before taking off down the stairwell first with his Pistol in-hand.

Marco stood silent for a moment; his eyes lingering on Rosa for the faintest of moments before taking a step forwards and walking down the stairwell towards the exit leading into The Gardens and The Dock.

Estate Roof.

"We hear you Mr Lower; we'll have a distraction ready for you" Spoke a male Sniper; his gun having run out of bullets and now merely waited for new instructions though with the vantage point they had they could watch over everything on ground-level, The Haitians were taking men captive or merely putting bullets in their heads while taking women as prisoners but The Sniper Team didn't want to think of what fates awaited them but still prayed for their souls.

"What are we doing? There's no bullets left much less any bombs!" spoke one female Sniper; speaking with fury at their inability to save their comrades from terrible fates.

"We have that Helicopter… we use that" spoke the male Sniper; pointing out the Helicopter standing stationary and primed to be used as a method of escape.

"Marco must be joking?! We'll be shot out of the sky as soon as we're off the roof! They still have those Rocket Launchers!" spoke a female sniper; spitting a burnt-out cigarette from her lips in stunned shock.

"I know… that's why I'm going to fly it into the Gardens and take out as many Haitians as possible, all of you get into the stairway and prepare to escape" The Male Sniper spoke solemnly; taking a deep breath for he knew what fate awaited him.

"You'll give your own life? For us?" spoke another Sniper; a short man but had bright eyes while gazing upon his ally's noble sacrifice.

"For Marco and all of our allies… yes" The Male Sniper spoke clearly; not a doubt in his mind as to what he would do for his allies.

"Go in peace…" spoke the last remaining female Sniper; giving her friend and ally a salute before rushing for the spiral staircase along with the other six Snipers.

The one remaining man stared at The Helicopter; taking in a deep breath before stepping up the stairs and onto The Helipad where the white and blue painted aircraft sat in wait for its final flight.

Estate Gardens.

The Gardens spread out into dozens of once beautiful flowerbeds but had now been torn up or burnt by the carnage and death of the firefight, bodies of Vercetti Gang Members and Haitians alike laid across the once pristine grass that now was stained brown and red with mud and blood, a number of bodies lay still floating or face-down at the bottom of a swimming pool though the waters were mostly red with the blood of the dead.

"I wish you could have seen the gardens at another time Rosa; it used to be so peaceful here" Marco muttered; glancing down at a female Vercetti Gangster; a stab wound dead-centre in her chest while a look of shock remained etched in her once beautiful features.

"I can imagine… but why isn't there any gunfire anymore?" Rosa answered with her usual bluntness when speaking to Lucas and Marco; her eyes lingering on the deceased bodies of ally and enemy alike floating or having sunk in the pool.

"Doesn't matter right now; we need to hurry to that boat" Lucas spoke; taking Rosa by the hand and rushing towards the boat, his mind too focussed on escaping this warzone to think about his attraction to Rosa.

The trio rushed around the length of the deep and corpse-laden swimming pool when a sleek white and red painted Squalo Speedboat sat waiting in the water; two seats stood at the controls for the boat while a long metallic case was bolted down at the rear of the boat.

"Didn't think I'd make it after seeing Angelo pointing that gun at me" Rosa confessed on her fears during the moment when she'd reunited with Angelo only to meet the barrel of a Handgun aimed at her head.

"Tsk… I knew that pathetic beta-male would fail; Hello Rosa" spoke a voice from behind Rosa's back; a voice spoke with absolutely no emotion or empathy.

Rosa's eyes widened in shock when she heard his voice; her feet practically glued to the ground, every word she'd spoke in that voice had sent shivers down her spine, turning her head ever so slowly until she made eye contact with the young man standing just behind her.

"You…" Rosa murmured softly; her voice rattled with shock.

"Yes… me" Ryder spoke with a sickening smile; dressed in black jeans, a dark blue shirt and a pair of belt holsters each holding a different gun, a Handgun customized with an Extended Clip and a Suppressor in the left holster and a customized Tec-9 SMG also with an Extended Clip and Suppressor in the other.

Lucas and Marco instantly went for their guns; now wishing to allow an enemy to so much as threaten Rosa but Rosa's hand motioned in a signal to stop them; both men kept their weapons in-hand but watched very carefully as many other of The Haitian Gangster's emerged out from behind the corners of the estate, each and every one of the dark-skinned men and women grinning a victorious grin.

Ryder kept smirking as his Haitian allies formed a wall preventing any route of escape through the gardens though he cared little for the Speedboat sitting on the open water, "Come now; don't you want to spend time with your boyfriend? After all you dismissed me last time".

"You are not my boyfriend Ryder… you're just a murderer" Rosa snapped back; shooting Ryder with a defiant glare for she remembered his sickening smile that night at The Malibu Club after he'd murdered a Haitian Gangster with their own gun.

"So hurtful… but that's what I love about you Rosa! You play hard-to-get and you're so evasive when it comes to my advances" Ryder spoke with faked emotion; pretending like Rosa had wounded him with her words before shooting her with the same sick grin he'd worn the night he killed for the first time.

"That's because you're nothing more than a womanizing asshole" Rosa snapped back; taking a step backwards and edging closer to Marco and Lucas, both having their guns raised though they both knew that neither had enough bullets for The Haitian Gang.

"Such harsh words… I see young Ryder was correct in how well she dodges any form of advancement" spoke a snide voice from the group; The Haitians parting as the tall and well-built leader of The Haitians stepped forwards, his hands dripping with fresh blood like he'd been doing something particularly messy.

"Douglas" Marco spat; his name tasting as rotten as his soul likely was.

"Marco… and Lucas too? How good to see you both alive and well though I expected you both to be a little more injured; I guess young Angelo wasn't up to the task" Douglas spoke as if he was overjoyed with seeing the pair so healthy though his eyes glared bloody murder like he was sizing them both for coffins.

"I didn't think Angelo was up to the task; I should have entered the Estate myself" Ryder took a guess at his friends status; waving his hand in blatant dismissal of his wounded friend.

"No Ryder; you've done good work out here with me" Douglas smirked; going as far to give Ryder a pat on the back, Marco himself feeling speechless to witness Douglas Ender giving praise to anybody when he was usually so merciless to those beneath him.

"What have you done? Where are my parents?!" Rosa demanded; knowing that her parents had gone to face Douglas directly but there was no sign of them while Douglas appeared completely uninjured.

"Oh; you don't know yet do you little Rosa?" Douglas smirked; redirecting his gleeful eyes to a group of Haitians, the group immediately parting and giving Rosa a clear line of sight to two figures laying n a brownish-red mound of dirt.

Rosa gasped the moment she saw the two bodies lying in the dirt; identified by the black slacks and blue Hawaiian Shirt under a black waistcoat and the other wearing a fine and tightly-fitted black dress, Tommy's and Mercedes' bodies lay face down in the dirt with blood soaking the once brown and now red dirt.

Douglas and Ryder both smirked wide; sinister smiles while all The Haitians burst into laughter while Rosa sank to her knees in disbelief, witnessing her parents dead bodies laying in the dirt caused her to break into tears with the pain and heartbreak that accompanied her loss, Lucas watching her while waiting for an opportunity to take her to the Speedboat.

The sound of Helicopter's propeller blades turning alerted every one of The Haitian Gangsters within the Estate Gardens and on the Streets; the Helicopter atop the Estate's roof lifting into the air only to be in plain sight of every single Haitian in both The Gardens and in The Streets, The Male Sniper in the Pilot's Seat peering down at the trio of Marco, Lucas and Rosa before pushing down on the Helicopter's controls and flying away from the Estate.

"Sir; those Snipers are escaping? Shall we shoot them down?" spoke a Haitian from the crowd; a young man that Rosa recognized from High School for he'd been not only in her Class but also had been sitting in the same row of seats at Graduation.

"No; let them leave… It appears that your last remaining allies are fleeing… a real pity because you could have used that Helicopter but it'll only be destroyed by my underlings once it reaches a certain distance" Douglas spoke; his words feeling like nails being stuck under the fingernails of Lucas and Marco, his mocking tone and confidence in his victory causing him to ignore The Helicopter flying around the Estate almost entirely.

"Umm… Douglas; it's coming back this way" Ryder murmured quietly so that only Douglas would hear him; spotting that the Helicopter was not only coming back but picking up speed.

"For you… Marco!" screamed The Pilot as The Helicopter divebombed into the massive group of enemy Haitian Gangsters; the ensuing explosion bursting into life with the sound of metal being blown apart and the fuel tank igniting sending ravenous flames in all directions, only the tearing of metal and the screams of the dying filled the air following the explosion.

Rosa barely had been given a minute to grieve for her fallen parents when a pair of strong hands pulled her from the cold ground with sudden force that her knees were scraped when pulled from the concrete pathways; Lucas pulling her backwards and jumping with Rosa into the Speedboat closely followed by Marco of whom jumped into the driver's seat.

"Get moving" Lucas shouted as Marco caused the Speedboat's engine to roar into life; the water surrounding the boat splashing upwards and splashing into the boat itself thus splashing Rosa's dress causing it to cling to her slim figure once the boat came to life and bursting into a high gear acceleration and speeding off into the open waters.

"What the actual fuck?! They used their only escape aircraft to kamikaze us!" Douglas shouted over the dying screams of a near uncountable number of Haitian Gangsters either being crushed under the Helicopter's wreckage or burning alive while desperately trying to crawl into the open waters of the ocean surround Starfish Island.

"Don't know if that was brazen stupidity or valiant self-sacrifice" Ryder spoke through a fit of coughs induced by the cloud of black smoke following the Helicopter's crashing explosion.

"It was to buy time for those three to escape… impressive that somebody would give their life for them" Douglas stated; the heat of the flames and the cloud of smoke barely affecting him as if he wasn't human, his eyes staring with resolved hatred as the Speedboat raced off.

"What do we do next?" Ryder asked; finally noticing that his left arm had suffered minor burns while his right arm has a relatively minor gash from fragmented metal shards from the destroyed Helicopter.

"We find out where they are going…" Douglas spat; grimacing at his failure to murder Rosa, Lucas and Marco when he had the chance only to turn and walk away from The Dock leaving Ryder alone to stare out as the Squalo Speedboat raced out into open water.

Open Water.

Lucas looked back to the Estate; spotting the fires bursting out through broken windows forming into billowing pillars of black smoke that would soon blanket the skies around Starfish Island but the place where their employers, friends, allies and home had been left behind.

"Thank the Lord that Boss Vercetti insists on his escape vehicles be modified for speed" Lucas stated; arming himself with his Pistol while Rosa had buckled herself down into one of only two seats onboard the Speedboat.

"Yeah; I don't think we would have made it without these mods" Marco stated; looking at the Squalo's dashboard and finding switches for Boosters that would allow the boat to exceed its top speed for a brief time.

Rosa sat silently while she listened to Lucas and Marco; her heart rate and rushed when confronted with Douglas and Ryder but her thoughts on Ryder turning to a life of crime and depravity based on her withholding information that night in The Malibu would likely torment her forever.

"Rosa; are you alright there?" Marco stated; looking to their VIP with only the slightest of concern in his voice.

"Yes; I'm fine… but I didn't know you could drive a boat and cars Marco" Rosa answered quickly; looking at the dashboard and steering for she couldn't make heads or tails of it for all she knew how to drive was her Sanchez Dirt Bike, the thought only now crossing her mind that she'd lost her bike too.

"Ha! I can drive anything sweetie" Marco laughed before he spoke; he secretly loved surprising people with his ability to drive anything as long as he could get into the driver's seat.

"Hold on; I don't think were clear yet" Lucas stated; hearing the sounds of multiple engines coming closer through the surf; walking to the rear of the Speedboat only to spot three Speedboats all rushing towards them, each boat carrying a driver and a gunman with fully automatic weapons.

"Shit! The Haitians have boats too!" Marco cursed; gripping the steering wheel and pushing down on the throttle to give the Squalo's Engine a boost as three dark-blue painted Boats seemingly emerged from out of nowhere as they'd passed the bridge from Escobar International Airport that connected to Washington Beach.

"Lucas! There is a Rifle in that case! Use it and take out their drivers!" Marco shouted; ducking his head as a bullet barely missed his head and cracked the windshield upon impact.

Lucas seized the sealed case that contained a weapon; a case with each component firmly set within the case to prevent damage, assembling the rifle with near-superhuman speed and turning to face the oncoming boats with the High-Powered Rifle cocked in his hands.

Rosa had ducked low so not to be hit with any bullets while Marco weaved the boat while on-route and Lucas assembled his gun with a speed that impressed Rosa and made her heart skip, wordless watching as Lucas stood up and fired a single shot.

Lucas' bullet flew through the air with a whistling sound before shattering the windshield of one of The Haitian Speedboats and burying itself within the skull of a driver.

"One down… two to go" Lucas spoke; noting that the cartridge only carried four bullets and there were three Boats in the water but he'd thankfully already dispatched one leaving only two boats pursuing them.

"Then shut up and take them out! We can't afford to give Douglas any hint of where we're going!" Marco yelled; the boat jumping from the water's surface after driving into a particularly strong wave current, the boat crashing back into the water and sending more of the salty spray into the boat and soaking Rosa even more.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but… I agree with Marco; shoot to kill" Rosa stated shaking the salty water from her now-matted hair; looking up at Lucas with fascination with how expertly he handled firearms and how quickly he could assemble a complicated weapon.

Lucas didn't need to be told anymore though his eyes lingered on Rosa's wet dress a second longer than he should have; the boat leaping into the air and crashing back into the surf was enough to snap him out from his daze, getting down on one knee and propping the gun on his bent knee allowed him to gauge the distance of the two remaining boats; spotting that both drivers had a gunman onboard too and began steadying his aim.

With a single shot from the gun; Lucas fired and struck the underside of one of the two boats exactly where the fuel tank would be causing the boat to burst into flames before sinking under the surface of the water with no sign of the two Haitians that rode the boat.

Before Lucas could line up his next shot; the last boat slowed and gave some distance to the Squalo Speedboat, Lucas narrowed his eyes as he looked down the scope only for his eyes to widen again as two Haitians: a skinny man and a rotund woman stood up on the boats deck each armed with a Rocket Launcher each loaded with a white and red-blinking round.

"Shit… Marco! Drive side-to-side!" Lucas shouted loudly; not caring if The Haitians managed to follow but he wanted to lose them if he could but he'd lose any form of steady aim in driving so wildly.

"Are you mad? We'll lose valuable time! What have they got?" Marco shouted back; his teeth gritting as a bullet narrowly grazed him but left a slight trickle of blood seeping from the torn flesh.

"Rocket Launchers! My guess is the Homing Type" Lucas glanced back at Marco and Rosa; worry filling his eyes as hey only had mere seconds before The Haitians would have locked on to their boat.

"Fuck… ok; I'm on it! hold tight little miss" Marco yelled before he stomped on the throttle to push the engine to its maximum; turning the controls so the Squalo kept crossing the waters from side to side though the ride became increasingly more uncomfortable for the passengers.

The Squalo's engine purred as Marco struck one of the buttons on the dashboard; the boat swerving as the handling became much easier and executing turns became much sharper like some of the weight had been lifted from the boat itself for in fact the boat had been modified with an improved handling module.

"Lucas! You have any Grenades left?" Marco yelled over Rosa's screams; desperately trying to shake off their pursuers as their destination was coming into sight.

Lucas checked his belt but only finding a single explosive Grenade that he'd picked up in the Gardens but had planned to use it to murder either Ryder and/or Douglas Ender, "Just one; get us in close"

"Are you mad? The closer we get the easier a target they'll have!" Rosa stopped screaming when she heard Lucas' intentions; his plan of attack sounding more akin to a suicide mission than an actual plan of attack.

"Remember how we took out that Humvee? You can trust us" Lucas spoke with a smirk; his faith in his own abilities to handle any firearm or explosive without any trouble was well honed as he was positive they'd make it out alive.

Rosa stared at Lucas with worry in her eyes but she merely nodded; she knew how skilled Lucas was with guns and bombs at this point and she also knew that she could put her faith in Lucas, returning to her seat and ensuring her seatbelt was secure, "Do what you must Lucas".

Lucas smiled as he heard Rosa's trusted words; unclipping his last Grenade from his belt and pulling the pin with his thumb but keeping the striking lever level for a last-second toss, crouching low as Marco steered the Speedboat in a full 180 and driving towards the one remaining Haitian Boat.

"The fuck are they doing?" The Rotund Female Haitian spoke in a stunned tone while lowering her Launcher; spotting that the Squalo was turning around to race back towards them.

"Don't care; makes lining a shot easier" spoke the Skinny Male Haitian; aiming his Rocket with their last round, the targeting beeping on the Homing Rocket whirring as the Squalo Speedboat rushed closer and closer with each second but not fast enough as the Homing Round beeped and the red light on the rocket turned to green.

"Fire in the hole!" yelled The Skinny Male Haitian and Lucas at the same time, Lucas tossing his Grenade mere seconds before it would explode just as the light of the fired Homing Rocket, the two explosives meeting in the air between the two boats before exploding into a blinding fireball that engulfed The Haitian Speedboat while rocking The Squalo with the sheer force of the explosion.

The ensuing explosion rocked both boats; Rosa's screams filled the air as Marco struggled to keep the Squalo safe from the explosion while The Haitians Boat wasn't so lucky for the explosion caught its exposed engine igniting the machine and causing the boat to explode and sink below the waves.

Marco steered the Squalo away from the flaming wreckage of the Haitians Boat; glancing around only spotting that Rosa was still in the boat but she was out of her seat and on her knees though her once floral dress was now covered in dirty ocean water and various other stains to the point where Marco couldn't even see the flower patterns anymore.

Marco glanced around the boat; spotting that only he and Rosa were still inside of the boat, "Where's Lucas?".

"I don't know… the explosion knocked him overboard" Rosa spoke with a slight stutter; water marking her face causing Marco to be unsure if she was either crying or just seawater running down her face but he reckoned that Rosa was crying.

"Fuck… we're going to need him if anyone else comes after us" Marco cursed; instantly regretting his allowing of Lucas to dictate their escape so to take out and kill their attackers when he could easily have lost them by diverting their route around the bridges before using a Speed Boosting Mod to get away via the nearest shore and hijacking another vehicle, but that plan was useless now.

Marco and Rosa both stared out at the murky blue and green waters of the ocean; the black smoke from the explosions fading amongst the waves along with the bodies of the two Haitians that had been armed with the Rocket Launchers.

"He can't be gone…" Rosa muttered; sniffing loudly as she cried over the unconfirmed loss of Lucas.

"Little miss… I'm afraid we may have to go on without him" Marco spoke glumly; he too hated having to leave behind Lucas' body if they couldn't find him alive but time was a factor and they had to keep going, Marco's hand patted Rosa's shoulder until a coughing voice emanated from behind them.

Turning to meet the source of the coughing; Marco smiled widely as Lucas was clinging to the side of the boat still half-submerged in the murky waters, Rosa gasped with relief before rushing to help him by pulling on his soaked Hawaiian Shirt and dragging him back aboard the boat before hugging him so tightly that even Lucas gasped in shock.

"You really had her worried" Marco spoke with a knowing smirk; he'd known that these two liked each other and were that attraction was only becoming stronger with each adversity that they overcame.

"Well done Kid; and just in time as we're closing in on our destination" Marco spoke as he got back into the driver's seat; the boat speeding across the waves until reaching a small passenger docking platform outside Escobar International Airport, the concrete docking platform only big enough for a small group of people to disembark and walk up onto the Airfield.

"I can't believe I survived that blast either… though I lost the High-Powered Rifle; it was weighing me down while trying to swim back to the boat" Lucas stated; his memory recounting how the blast had flung him from the boat as he'd not been utilising a safety rope or belt, having resurfaced several feet from the boat and struggled to get back while wielding such a powerful and heavy weapon.

"Don't worry about it; its just a gun… your life is more important to me" Rosa spoke slowly; her voice barely more than a whisper but enough for both Lucas and Marco to hear, suddenly realising what she said Rosa pulled out of her embrace with Lucas and returning to her seat with her face pointed towards the open bay to hide her blushing cheeks.

Lucas felt his eyes widen with shock; with Rosa still clinging to him with her affectionate embrace only for that embrace to come to a sudden end and evasion of admitting affection; those actions even left Marco with a knowing grin while he gazed upon the pair of youths.

"Come on now; we need to get moving" Rosa suddenly spoke with an ordering tone; somewhat sounding like her father, she didn't need to speak twice for Lucas seated himself as Marco returning to drive the boat uninterrupted until reaching their destination: a small concrete dock just outside of an Airfield.

"I'm assuming that path leads to the Private Hangers?" Rosa spoke suddenly and without prompt; her voice slow and toneless though she drew the concerned eyes of Lucas and Marco, both looking to one another before nodding before offering her a hand to help her deboard the boat and onto solid ground; assisting hands that Rosa gratefully accepted.

Escobar International Airport.

Deboarding and leaving the Speedboat was easier than Rosa first thought as she got out from her seat last; her dress scarred with blood stains, burns, water spots and dirty marks much less the dirt and blood splattered on her legs and arms, wordlessly following after Marco and Lucas into a building marked as Private Hanger Number Three where a sleek white Personal Jet with a blue stripe painted across the sides and wings.

"Isn't she a beauty" Marco smiled as he gazed upon the glorious Private Jet housed within a aircraft hangar; there was barely a dirty mark on the jet though there were noticeable tire tracks indicating that the Jet had been serviced recently.

"Wait… can you fly her?" Lucas stated; suddenly realising that they might not have a pilot if Marco couldn't fly the Jet.

"Lucas… I already said I can drive anything and that also includes flying a Jet" Marco mentioned; the noticeable lack of a cigarette between his dry and cracked lips for had Lucas stunned as he'd not been smoking ever since the meeting with Boss Vercetti.

"Ahh sorry; you get on board and do the pre-flight checks while I help Rosa" Lucas spoke though Rosa was already boarding; she'd already opened the pressurized door and stepped into the Jet only to silently find herself a seat near the back of the fully furnished leisure plane.

"Right" Marco nodded; hurrying up the cockpit and seating himself in the polit seat while ignoring the co-polit side for he could fly this Jet by himself as he had done years ago when escorting Tommy to Liberty City and Los Santos.

"All lights are green, fuel tanks are full, all systems are ok… settle in you two; this flight will take a few hours" Marco spoke through an intercom; hastily listing off only a few of the systems for a pre-flight check though ignoring a great deal, the engines for the Jet whirred into life and began to roll out onto the runway.

Lucas slipped into a seat across from Rosa's; opening his mouth to speak but opting to say nothing to her and let her be alone with her thoughts, who knows what was going through Rosa's mind after the day she'd had and everything she'd been through.

Only the open cloud-filled skies lay ahead for the trio now that they'd taken flight; the masses of allies, friends, family and loved ones left behind left a bitter taste in the mouths of Lucas and Marco but their grief was nothing compared to what Rosa was going through, for she sat gazing out of a window down as the skyline of Vice City became harder and harder to see as the Jet gained altitude until their home had vanished entirely from sight.
