Vader's ship

The Executioner

Admiral Parker's first impressions of the Executioner was that the ship was massive in size, and was even bigger after arriving via shuttle onto the ship and along with Commander Watch with a couple of his troopers beside him as he walked off the lowered platform he noticed the troopers on this ship were possibly more tense and on more high alert than his, the moment he stepped off he was greeted by another Admiral, Ozzel. Who, in Parker's opinion, was a complete prick. "Admiral Parker it is nice to finally meet you" he spoke, high and mighty, as if he was the one in charge, which on this ship he technically was. "I assume you are here to meet Lord Vader?"

"We are" Parker said, not turning when General Harpy walked off the ship with NBT behind him, trying to keep the alien from wandering off, most of the eyes were on the mysterious creature. General Harpy kept it occupied by letting it fiddle with his blaster, Admiral Ozzel raised an eyebrow at such behavior but didn't comment, which Parker was grateful for because it technically wasn't his place to comment on what his General does.

"Well if you would just follow me, I suggest leaving your troopers by your ship" Admiral Ozzel turned and started to walk away, Admiral Parker had Commander Watch stay behind with his troopers, telling him to make sure they don't get into trouble, NBT was close behind as the two followed the other Admiral. "Now I heard of what happened on your ship, bounty hunters and most of your engineers being killed, your security lacks"

General Harpy bristled, but didn't dare speak back, clearly if they were the ones that had been attacked then they would know that it was completely a surprise attack, and that they were successful in driving them away, however capture would've been ideal and technically a failure in the eyes or the empire, but at least they didn't steal anything, luckily Admiral Parker managed to speak a response before Harpy could make a snide remark. "They attacked while I was retrieving a relic from Tatooine, and most of our ships' defenses were down after a fight with a couple rebels, which had been victorious in our favor, unfortunately that left us vulnerable to sneak attacks. Fortunately General Harpy managed to keep them from getting their goal which is NBT" he motioned to the gas sack floating creature behind them. "And it has been helping us with repairs greatly." NBT cooed, handing General Harpy his blaster back.

"And you trust it with your weapons?" Admiral Ozzel noted, an eyebrow raised at the two behind him. Admiral Parker shifted a bit as they walked. "And NBT is its name?"

General Harpy carefully answered. "Our" he coughed a bit. "A group of troopers that managed to keep the bounty hunters from getting to the creature decided to name the thing 'Notorious blaster thief', NBT for short" A raised eyebrow from Ozzel made him swallow. "The creature is rather fond of the group"

"You didn't answer my first question General"

Harpy didn't pause. "Apologies Admiral, if the creature had malicious intent it would have done it by now" he responded. "But all it has done is improve our technology, however it has been known to improve armor while you are still in it, and from what I heard the troopers on our vessel who have experienced this say it is a rather harmless, but uncomfortable experience" he glanced back at NBT. "So far, it's only instinct seems to be helping" And, he was pretty sure NBT didn't know how to use a blaster, however he usually put it on stun before handing it to the creature, just in case.

"Peculiar," Admiral Ozzel noted, NBT hummed with energetic energy but Harpy managed to keep the creature from trying to snatch a troopers weapon as they passed. He had a distinct feeling it wouldn't be tolerated like it was on their ship. "It will be a great addition to the empire, I would like to see it in action" they made it to the bridge, Ozzel stepping aside to allow Admiral Parker to waltz in first.

"We'll see, Admiral Ozzel" Parker felt a bit odd, calling someone else an Admiral since he was so used to being called it himself but he didn't dwell on these feelings of awkwardness because a feeling of slight nervousness and fear crept up his chest when he spotted the Dark Lord, standing there facing away from him, at least until he seemed to sense that he was there, that they were there because he turned around with his mechanical breathing filling the sound in the air.

"Admiral Parker I have been expecting you" Vader strode towards them, and Parker noticed Harpy tensed, NBT seemed to notice his distress so they covered his eyes with a tentacle, Harpy didn't give a reaction to that but it did look like he calmed down a little. "Is this the creature I've heard about?" He stared at the gas sack, both inflating and deflating, Parker wished there was a face he could look at.

"Yes sir, '' Harpy responded, ignoring the tentacles over his eyes. It was a little more relaxing talking to the dark lord when you couldn't exactly see him. "They're rather friendly but it's behavior is a little too predictable, I would recommend standing away from its tendrils so it doesn't try to improve any of your armor or onhand technology"

Parker watched as Vader stared at NBT before looking at the Admiral himself. "I would like to see the claims you made towards the creature myself" he pulled out something Parker found very familiar, a lightsaber. "If it truly improves upon weapons then let it fix this" it didn't look like Vader's Saber however, it was broken and looked kind of sadly kept together.

"That isn't your Saber is it?" Parker had to make sure.

"No" Was the dark lord's response, he handed the broken weapon to a Naval besides him, possibly confident the Saber wouldn't be activated. The young man holding such a powerful item walked towards NBT nervously holding it up. Immediately the engineer gently took the lightsaber in hand and inspected the item, removing their tentacles from Harpys face who still held a firm composure. Vader watched as NBT carefully took it apart, holding the smaller pieces in the tendrils- it held up a crystal cooing at the beauty of it before they started to rebuild the Saber, the soft blue glow as it reassembled the weapon made Harpy stare, Parker wasn't as awe struck as most on the bridge was when NBT held up the lightsaber, looking brand new instead of worn down and beat up one from before.

NBT thrilled when the Saber they had just rebuilt flew out of their tendrils and effortlessly into Vader's outstretched hand, a curious coo was ignored as the Saber came to life, the sound made Parkers ears buzz, the Saber was purple, Parker didn't remember what the colors of the sabers meant but he was taught about them when he was much younger. "Sir," Vader snapped out of what Parker assumed was a trance, turning to the Admiral, Vader deactivated the weapon. "Was there a reason you trusted NBT with that saber?"

"Admiral," he put the lightsaber away. "A test, if I had felt any malice against me from the creature I would not have given it to...NBT as you call it" Parker felt like the troopers who named the creature would find it funny Vader was using their name for it. "The creature has possibly has never seen a lightsaber before, so being able to take it apart and put it back together in a small amount of time with the saber still functioning at a better capacity it rather impressive"

NBT cooed, slightly nudging Harpy, the General ignored the creature in favor of listening to the Admiral and Vader speak about the creature. "Sir if I may, what do we plan to do with this thing" he pushed a tendril away from his face.

Vader snapped his gaze at the General and paused, for a second Harpy thought he had angered the dark lord by speaking out but the Lord simply shook his head to reassure that was not the case. "You will keep it on your ship, we will be going to Hoth"

"And, why Hoth?" Ozzel was the one to speak this time.

Vader glanced at NBT. "There have been reports," he looked at Ozzel. "sightings from a group of researchers of otherworldly looking 'monsters' that no one can identify" he ignored Harpy as the man tried to make sure the Engineer didn't start messing with the suit as he was talking. "Then there was silence, whether the researchers are alive or not we will find out"

"And, is there a possibility that this is linked to NBT" Parker placed a hand on the creature's head, raising an eyebrow at the purrs emitting from them.

"It is."

General Harpy shifted, the idea of traveling with Vader to Hoth wasn't exactly his ideal plan, but since he was speaking to a higher up he couldn't exactly complain, not like he did with Parker at least. He's seen people die going against Vader, and not just on video. "How would you know that?"

Vader twisted to face him. "Are you questioning?" He inquired harshly, Harpy stood straight and without another word shook his head, Vader took that and moved to stand in front of Parker. "You will take the creature back to your ship, the coordinates of a specific location will be sent to you. Be ready to hyperspace alongside the Executioner, dismissed" For now.

He was a bit shorter than expected in all honestly but still towered her, Parker adjusted his collar before grabbing onto one of the tentacles of NBT. "Understood, I- we will meet you there. Sir." He and Harpy had to drag the creature out of the room, unnerved and embarrassed that it looked like they were struggling with this. Plus Vader was watching, eventually they got NBT onto the transport ship with Commander Watch making sure his troopers got back on the transport before stepping on himself. Parker always admired the command members' determination to stand by his; "Never leave a trooper behind unless absolutely necessary." Motto, though he's pretty sure Watch has never followed the absolutely necessary and would risk losing something important then watch troopers suffer.

"What's the plan sir," The commander was also not afraid to speak to him, which he appreciated the feedback the older would casually give sometimes. "With this thing?" He stood away from NBT, the creature cooed.

"We're keeping it for now" Harpy answered for him, Parker noticed he was less tense when away from the dark lord, the transport vibrated as the pilot took off from the ship. "And while I have more than one objective to this, we're going with the Executioner to Hoth"

Commander Watch tilted his head to the side. "Hoth?"

Parker shrugged while Harpy responded. "Apparently there's something worthwhile there and we should appreciate the fact Vader is willing to fight alongside our clown crew of a ship" he ignored the harsh glance Parker gave him. "Most of the troopers on our ISD are scared of a ghost in the cafeteria" he sat down.

"I have faith in my troopers, sirs." Watch didn't take off his helmet but he did adjust it. "Especially the group that NBT is seemingly obsessed with" he hesitated but petted the creature on the head, blinking at the purrs. "I think the ghost is the least of their worries after we inform them of the mission"

"I'd assume so."
