I would like to thank Zetsuie2 for been the beta of this chapter and the great support and help that provided to this this story.

With Sakura, Rin and Illya.

The three girls could only see from a distance how the man they loved was in the middle of a fight to the death, they cursed their own limitations. Although they are more powerful than most strategic class magicians and had an advantage over other magicians that specialized in close quarter combat, they knew that if they ever face a servant in battle that will be the end of them. Even if they had a spell as strong as noble phantasm, they knew that no servant will give them the time to use it before they were killed.

Only Shirou, who is the most experienced and trained himself to equal a servant could combat them. They were special without mistake, all 3 of them powerful enough to face a family by themselves head on, but even their modesty was proven inadequate when they saw the clash of noble phantasms. They can only curse their powerlessness.

"Dam it! Is there is nothing we can do?" said Illya.

"We will only get in the way…" answered Rin that was clenching her fists.

"We can only pray and trust in him."

If they were about to say anything else with their telepathy spell, that thought ended when they saw what was about to happen.

No wasting time they jump in front of the pallets and each one of them cast their barrier magic and expanded it until they could interlock with each other. And they manage to do it just in time before they could hear.

Balmung!

Excalibur!

The people that were looking at this scene indirectly through the broadcast or even from afar, they could all see the fight for supremacy between both attacks. They could only marvel at the collisions beauty. How the blue and gold energy collided and the energies could be visibly seen mixing. A sphere of energy that was emitting such force that it affected the surrounding area. The ball of energy seemed to enlarge like a balloon until what it seemed like a critical point. Then every can see how it turned into a giant pillar of light. Energies of blue and gold coiling upwards into the sky. The change followed by a massive shockwave that pushed everyone back around it. Zephyrs of wind and debris constantly pushing against the spectators close by. Most of them had to use defensive magic to protect themselves from the shockwaves and wind.

After a while, the energies dissipated, the waves of wind have stopped, and everyone turned around to confirm that no one had gotten hurt. After confirming everyone's safety most of the spectators chose to keep looking of the clash, which they could not visibly see anything due to the giant dust cloud the collision created.

Due to some strange miracle all the cameras on sight seemed to have mostly survived the catastrophe. Which in turn made the amazing fight seen by the whole world. From start to finish. The consequences of this, will be seen in the future.

As the dust dissipated both fighters can be seen standing, but both also seem to be in pretty bad shape.

The silver haired warrior was on his knees using his swords as support, blood can been seen from different injures over his body. His whole body was emitting some form of steam, and his chest and face had mark that was giving an ethereal glow.

The man that the masses called Phantom Blade was in no worse for wear. He too was on his knees using his swords for support. His helmet broken, showing the lower half of his face, part of his left chest armor completely broken leaving it bare. One could see his circuits were still active and glowing.

There was no mistake, the two warriors that had faced each other with the intention to kill each other were Thaumaturgy users.

Both of them were trying to stand up to use this chance to kill the other but both their bodies were not letting them.

It was in that moment that a woman in a black robe appeared out of nowhere next to the silver haired warrior, but surprisingly she did not seem concerned for him at all.

"So it is true, some idiots still follow the teaching of that idiot of Merlin," the hatred in her voice could not be hidden.

"Who the hell are you?!" asked Shirou, wary of another servant class enemy.

"Someone that will put an end to your existence, and destroy all trace of that idiot Merlin's legacy." answered the woman.

"Wait Caster… he is my objective and I will not allow you to interfere."

"What a funny thing to say to me after what you did to Archer."

"Like hell, we will let you lay a finger on him!" a woman's voice was heard and as the pair turns towards it they could see the three females covered in armor.

"Unthinkable…. more people that follow the teachings of that duplicitous moron." She sneered and her face wrinkled in disgust." Seemingly the thought of the said person is enough to make her so.

"It looks like I will be busy killing every single one of you….but that will be for another time. Be thankful for my generosity, but remember that is extremely limited, and I WILL make sure to completely eradicate His legacy."

The woman that was called Caster then put her hand over the silver haired warrior and disappears without a trace.

It was in that moment after they leave that Shirou fell. He was still conscious.

"Shirou?!" said the three girls with their telepathy.

"I am fine…we need to leave this place before we think of unwanted questions." with that they turn to see how security staff were already running towards them. So, wasting no time the four disappears in blue spars of light.

Back with the rest of the Emiya family and the others

"Oh my god, I hope that Shirou is ok," said Aoi. Her hands together like in prayer.

"My son is very strong, so I know that he is fine," reassured Irisviel.

"…I believe that it is time to take our leave." said Kiritsugu.

"We will go with you," said Maya. Attracting the full attention of the Emiya family.

"Whatever that had just happened here is directly related to the Master's clans as our future leader was probably the main target," added the other twin as she slowly stood up.

"Besides we cannot ignore a fight between two strategic class magicians, which is something that had never happened without other countries backing it. We need to think of precautions." said Kouichi.

The heir of the Yotsuba family, Miyuki could not hold herself any longer and stoop up suddenly.

"Please let us go as well!…. I am worried about Tatsuya-kun and I believe that this will involve him as well and I would like to support him…" said Miyuki. Her voice getting quieter as everyone looks at her.

The Emiya head however didn't know what to think. They knew about the true relationship between Miyuki and Tatsuya, and knew that her desire and willingness to help was real… but with little knowledge about what truly going on they had no way to know if doing so was really a good idea.

"Sure, why not" said Irisviel. So my wife answers for me…

Looking at her face it looks like its final huh… he thought. It looks like Irisviel had made things more interesting again for them.

"But you can't come right away, as a member of the Student Council you need to go and help calm the students. It will also be suspicious if we leave now, so what about this we will meet in two hours in Mayumi's hotel room. From there we will contact one of the girls to take us home, where I am sure they had taken my son," said Irisviel. Her detailed plan shocking everyone present…except the Emiya head who seem to be looking towards the window seeming to be in deep thought.

After a period of shocked silence, they all nodded to each other in silent compliance. They all knew there is not much time. Preparations are needed.

Back on the field, close to the stand where they were left behind the contestants of the last match which included the Prince Masaki and Tatsuya were looking at awe at the battle that happened before them. Other than Tatsuya they all looked at each other seeming to ask themselves what the hell just happened.

"Those were Strategic class magicians?! How is that possible?" George, considered a child genius could only stare dumbly at his friend and ask in confusion.

"No….they can be considered such considering their sheer destructive ability….but I think they were something else. Normally Strategic class magicians need some time to use their more powerful magic each with specific conditions, uniqueness and complexity….. but they almost didn't need such time…their attacks while could be considered unique, were too similar to each other based on effect," Masaki contemplated. "Most Strategic Class magicians, their abilities are almost always unique, to effect to how it activates."

They are too similar… not even counting their sheer physical ability and skill in swordsmanship…they are less magicians and….

"Their swords…." said Leon attracting everyone presents attention. "Didn't you hear them say the names, Excalibur and Balmung….aren't those names of the swords from those children's stories from the west?

and more like magic warriors from Legends.

"We don't actually know if those were the real swords of legends," dismissed George.

"Even if they weren't those swords aren't normal. The energy that those weapons unleashed is completely different to anything that I had ever felt. Such power cannot be ignored. What do you think Tatsuya?" said Mikihiko.

"To be honest I don't know what to think about all of this," answered Tatsuya. Ever since his sister had brought them here for safety his mind is in confusion. He began to remember when he was training to a possible confrontation with the Yotsuba, how his big brother Shirou told him that he could defeat any magician that the Yotsuba a Master clan, had as long as it's a direct confrontation. Yet earlier, he was told he didn't have a chance against that blonde psychopath. It was the first time his supportive brother ever told him he was incapable. It irritated him to no end. Not because of spite or anger. Tatsuya, while watching his brother fight could only clench his fists and feel helplessness.

It's just like when grandpa died…even with all that training… I'm still weak…

He inwardly cursed himself, yet that wasn't important right now. He needed to assess the situation. Tatsuya made sure he observed the fight with his elemental sight. Both the assailant and his brother both has abilities and magic that he cannot comprehend, but it was always good to memorize and use it later as a precedent or inspiration. He will also need to ask his siblings more about legendary artifacts. It seems his family isn't the only one with a legendary collection.

No matter what I need to get stronger

"Masaki-sama!" suddenly some students and guards were running towards them.

It was in that moment that when Tatsuya make telepathic contact with Miyuki and the others to confirm he received the message about what they were supposed to do in about two hours.

In a private room elsewhere, the 3 heads of the Master clans; Kudou Retsu, Yotsuba Maya and Saegusa Kouichi were in front of multiple screens, each screen with a different person.

"Kudou-sama, you must leave that place, it is dangerous." Said one.

"They were after Masaki-sama" said another.

"The presence of those unregistered strategic class magicians is worrying," said a man in military uniform.

"But didn't one of the heroes of Okinawa stop them?"

"We cannot trust an entity as unknown to us as much as the enemy."

"An enemy of an enemy is a friend."

"That also means if they change their mind we would be easier to stab in the back!"

An argument started with heated fervor as all were torn on how to treat the would-be saviors and new enemies. Kudou Retsu, could barely listen to them. He inwardly laughs at their notions. Like there is actually a choice. Both sides were relatively unknown and considerably powerful. One is powerful enough to nonchalantly murder one of their heirs on a live broadcast, and the other equals them while being known to be able to stop an army. Really…. Bickering like fools.

There are better uses for oxygen

The yelling stopped when the unofficial head of the families slammed his hand on the table. Good, he got everyone's attention.

"Enough! I understand everyone's point of view! So let me address them. First, if I currently leave this place we will give the impression of vulnerability which at the moment we cannot allow. Lastly, about our mysterious magicians, we will currently table all our concerns, and will try to have an amicable relationship, and before anyone asks I truly believe this is the wisest course of action."

"But they are as much of a threat as the attackers! How can we trust something none of us can control?!"

Kudou Retsu blankly and with no change of emotion looked at the questioning man. Straight and unfeeling.

"Because we have no choice." His bluntness finally put in their minds the crux of the matter. After giving a nod of satisfaction he continued to address them:

"As we saw it, we do have the consolation that both sides while unknown and extremely powerful are not on the same side. The one we call Phantom blade even saved Masaki, so while we had no choice it is still the least destructive. The most important thing is information. We have no clue to who are assailants are, and as we experienced totally unprepared for this kind of confrontation. Better responsive measures must be made to prevent future mishaps. For that we need as much information as possible." He gave them all a look that dared them to say otherwise. Finally he said, "I will also say this…..No one must openly provoke these unknown Magicians. Do so at your own peril. That is all." He turned off the communication and turned to his former students.

"To see the both of you together again, I never thought I'd see the day." His lips curving into a small smile. It truly has been a long time.

"It was just a coincidence." said Maya.

"My daughter is not only competing but also member of the student council of her school, so she had organized many things, so I wanted to see my little girl work and support her." Miya added.

He chuckled, "Well considering the fact that you can stay civil while being in the same room could be called a miracle in the past, I would like to ask you…Do you know anything about this?" His eyes no longer showing humor as it narrowed on them.

After a few seconds of silence, it was Maya who answered.

"Truthfully, today's events were also a complete surprise for us. Please do not doubt us on that. If you will excuse me, I will need to check on my niece."

"Sister, let me join you as well."

Kudo, knew that they were hiding something but chose to let them go for now. And with that his two former students leave the room.

Saegusa's room.

It was the accorded time; everyone was interested in talking about what recently happened with the exception of Tatsuya. He was looking through the window in deep thought. Everyone stopped at the moment they heard a knock on the door.

"I am sorry for the delay, it took some time to leave Leon and the others unseen."

"I know what you mean, the same happened to me when I had to leave Juumonji in charge."

"The important part is that all are present now. So son, could you please contact one of your sisters so they can take us home and explain what had just happened here." said Kiritsugu.

Even if all the members of the Emiya family could use the telepathy spell, the range of the spell was limited depending on the person and unlike the young girls present here they didn't have a copy of a relic to help them with that.

Doing as his father said; Tatsuya closed his eyes and tried to contact his siblings. It took him some time but once he managed to do it, he asked them to explain what they wanted to do. For outsiders, it looks like they were just closing their eyes but now everyone present knew what was happening. When he opened his eyes, he told them to make some room. Just a moment later, Sakura had appeared in front of them, this time she was wearing her battle armor without her helmet.

They already knew that she was extremely powerful and a hero in her own right but for the Yotsuba and Saegusa see her ready for combat was something that was quite daunting.

"I know that you had many questions and we will answer what we can but not here. So if you can come closer I will take us to our home," said Sakura.

They do as she said, and a few seconds later they disappear in the same blue sparks that Sakura had arrived. Instantly to reappear in the study room where they could see the other members of the Emiya family.

Just like Sakura, Rin and Illya are wearing their battle armor without helmets. While Shirou was sitting on a chair while Rin is using one of her Rubies to help with his healing.

After the battle, ever since they had arrived at their home they had been talking about many things, all related to two topics; how was it possible that that heroic spirits are here and what will they tell to the others, because there is no way that they can keep something this big as a secret. After some discussion they all agreed to tell the truth. At least the ones that they can logically explain.

So far, the only good news was that this Gilgamesh did not seem to be the same one they knew even if their personality is the same. Only reason they knew is he did not recognize Shirou who managed to kill him last time.

After a period silence, it was Irisviel who took initiative.

"It looks like you had a very interesting story to tell us, don't you?" her lips formed a smile looking positively angelic, yet to the younger members of the family it seemed more like an ominous sign. A sign promising pain if their did not satisfy.

"You had been keeping secrets from us, aren't you" said Aoi, her smile mirroring her sister-wife's.

The faces of their children paled in conjunction to the fear they felt. Shirou paling more than most. The other three were not much better. Even strategic class magicians are weak against mothers.

"Everyone's got secrets…you have to be more specific." Rin quipped, her gaze visibly avoiding her mother's. Aoi and Irisviel looked at their daughter their gaze unmoving, still smiling angelically. A black aura seemed to manifest around the smiling mothers making the others feel threatened.

"I believe that it will be for the best if you began to tell us everything…. from the beginning." said Kiritsugu, hoping to placate his wives quickly.

"Do you remember all the stuff that you managed to get from Europe from our family's secret vault?" said Illya.

"Yes, but those were just antiques and junk that my family had been collecting for centuries. There was nothing special about those things. Even my Grandfather admitted it to me secretly." said Irisviel

"Weeell….I wouldn't say that." said Rin

"Did you find something special?" asked Aoi. For a good moment Shirou and the girls said nothing only talking to each other telepathically, but decided in the end to drop the bomb.

"Conceptualized inside an old shield we found the Book of Merlin." Said Illya.

It was like the time had been frozen when they said those words.

"Excuse me?… but by Merlin, you don't mean one of the most famous magus in history. A man with the title of Wizard. A man so strong in magic that in legend he held the title of the strongest of all the magicians like Solomon?" asked Mayumi, her disbelief visible.

"The very same.. he was not just a legend, he really existed." said Shirou.

"That is amazing, and troublesome… if the world knows about this it will cause pandemonium and chaos. I can even see teams of Special Forces coming after that book. Not to mention the political pressure from multiple countries will be enormous. Let alone England." said Maya. She was in thought and her response was more like her thinking out loud.

"Why didn't you tell us anything?" asked Aoi.

"We were kids when we found it and we didn't know what it was until later. At first we believed that it was just a story book. It recounted a man's multiple personal encounters and some adventures. It felt more like a diary of some sorts." She snickered. "One story involved a party with some knights, then it jumps to a personal step by step checklist on how to hit on a woman, to using an example on how he used said list on the waitress he bedded the night before. For the most part we almost burned it thinking it was some perverted noble's diary, but then we found it had instructions and information on Mystic Codes. Then we kept reading more and as we found and unlocked more of its magical secrets, the knowledge that it held can only be called special. We decided to practice it after evaluating it as safe. It is one of the reasons how we improved in such a short time." Rin explained. What she didn't say was that was only a half-truth. After all the Einzberns managed to collect many artifacts related to the Kingdom of Camelot. That was how they acquired the original Avalon in the first place. Their younger selves even did some research on some artifacts already before the awakening.

"But what made you keep it a secret?" asked Kiritsugu.

"It began as a game, a secret club for the four of us. As we kept experimenting on the contents, we learned that the knowledge of the book was real. It had all the base concepts of magic, well-known knowledge that were prevalent in the past that were lost through time. A beginner's manual in simple terms." said Illya.

"However that was not all, based on our research we have come to the conclusion that Merlin was just like Tatsuya, a natural born magus that can use both magic systems." added Shirou.

Everyone present turned to see the youngest member of the Emiya family who had a look of pure shock and astonishment.

"Whaa-at?!" Tatsuya managed to blurt out.

"Based on the description in the tome, Merlin was given instruction about how to use and learn both magic systems. The main difference in his learning is how magic is classified. In his time the 2 systems were just classified as a type of mage that had different specialties. One that mainly uses artifacts or special aides, and one that just cast the spells from the soul. Each had different sub-areas." Rin explained.

"That sounds really familiar."

"It is pretty much a simple breakdown of Modern magic and Thaumaturgy," said Suzune

"Correct, both systems are two faces of the same coin. It was just that one of the systems was re -discovered earlier than the other and that made many believe that it was the superior one. No one realized that by creating classes and limiting one system over the other they are harming the true potential of magic. We have been trying to rectify that gap of knowledge for some years now," said Sakura. The revelation made the adults consider what they had just told them. They all compared it with their past view of Thaumaturgy.

"Merlin's book, I would like to read it, even if only once," said Mayumi.

"You already did…" said Shirou, everyone in shock turned to see him, as he continues. "All the beginner level books of theory that we had published on modern magic and Thaumaturgy came from that book."

"Are you telling me that you had researched the tome of probably the most famous magi in history, and you published it and released it so cheaply and simply. Just like that?!" the head of the Saegusa couldn't help but exclaim.

"The basics were mostly from the book, especially about the information about Magic Circuits. The rest had been from our own respective research in each of our specialties," Rin explained. "Curiously, the most interesting information in the book is the knowledge of a tome or encyclopedia that was given to his disciple, a man named Balthazar. An encyclopedia with knowledge that Merlin made purely for magical research."

"All of that is very interesting…. but why tell us this now? We just wanted to know whether or not you had information on these assailants." asked Kiritsugu. While informative, and proud of his children because of this revelation, he still did not see the connection to the unknown enemy.

"Dad…. did you manage to hear what that woman called us?" asked Shirou. His voice conveying some unknown dread.

"Everyone in the world probably heard her. How the cameras and microphones were still working the recording after that fight is a complete mystery," Irisviel said. Her eyes rolling to the side. "She called you Merlin's Legacy."

"Merlin may have been a party lover and a womanizer, but contrary to that he had a strong sense of Justice. As the advisor to the King of Knights, he helped create the Knight Code of Camelot. A set of principles and rules that their people should follow."

Loyalty, everyone must value.

Our hearts will contain virtue.

Our swords defend the defenseless.

Our strength structures the order less.

Our words speak only truth.

Our wrath only punishes evil.

Always prepared to defend our home and people.

Promises always honored and never broken.

Never do what is dishonorable, such as lying, stealing or betraying a brother or sister.

Search with your heart the truth and wisdom, always defending the GOOD, the TRUE, the CORRECT.

Train your body and spirit; control your instincts, your impulses and know your weaknesses.

Work to always improve, work to always reach new horizons.

Never abuse of your power to oppress the innocent.

"This is the Code of Camelot, a set of rules that was supposed to be core base of the Promised Kingdom where mankind should've progressed and prospered over a thousand years ago. The utopia that came to be known as Camelot, was destroyed only a few years after its founding…. By the very woman you saw today."

"Haa?-What are you talking about?" asked Miya.

"Morgan Le Fey… a witch who according to Merlin's diary had the goal of standing on top of the world ruled by superior Magus. Magus that she herself deem worthy." Said Rin. Her tone was heavy, which only helped increase the dread growing in everyone's minds.

"Wait a minute, do you mean that a woman from over a thousand years ago is still alive?" Suzune asked incredulously.

"But…how is that be possible?" asked Miya.

"Forbidden magic. One powerful enough that in most cases will only lead to destruction. At the worst case, it can even endanger the whole world. A mistake that should've never been conceived," said Shirou. His anger and rage visible in his face, while his voice hinted danger. The change of demeanor shocked even his parents. Illya went behind him and put a hand on his back to calm him down, his face visibly loosening. Illya then started to explain.

"Shirou is talking about a spell that is powerful enough to kill every creature on this planet. One powerful enough that it can do it even by accident, if someone tried to use it incorrectly. Magic that surpasses Strategic Class."

"But what magic could be so destructive?" asked Maya with worry.

"The Holy Grail." said Sakura flatly. Her tone of voice filled the others with trepidation.

"You mean that holy artifact from Christianity? The cup from the Last Supper?" asked Mayumi.

"No….the only thing similar between the two is the name. It's a giant Magical Ritual that uses the Ley lines of the world itself to power it. It holds the magic Wishcraft which was a specialty of one of the founding Grail families. By using the Grail one can power the spell to literally grant any wish, even including arriving at the Root. To power such a spell, the Ritual itself has unique pre-requisite." Rin explained. "A fight to the Death between Servants."

"You mean that they choose a representative and make them fight to the death? While inhumane and cruel I don't comprehend how that can be as dangerous as you were saying nor what can that woman Morgan do with that?" asked Kiritsugu.

"Because the representatives are servants." said Illya.

"Servants?"

"Everyone here needs to know about servants, just in case one of them shows up again. First what a servant actually is. As you know each person has a soul. The value of each soul depends on the actions of that person in life. One, if venerated enough or achieve a feat worthy of being acknowledged by the world, they gain the qualification and right to be recorded in a special place we call the Throne of Heroes. A place where Time, Space, Fake, and reality converge. Where Legends and myth are nothing but another reality. It holds a record of every notable person or Hero in the history of mankind. Each individual record is what we call a Heroic Spirit. An astral copy of the person from history which holds the power of their own legends. Part of the Grail Ritual is to summon these Records or Heroic Spirits into the real world. That is what they use as servants. The strongest heroes in history, fighting a death match to claim the ultimate prize. A wish of their own choosing.

"But that's impossible! Let alone the proof that these people even existed, it doesn't even sound logical to summon such beings." said Kouichi. His face strained. His hands moving back and forth, showing his exasperation.

He was interrupted by Illya who slammed her hand on a table. "Yet they were here today. You saw their strength. Did anything that happened today fit in the category you call Logical?" she said.

"The Holy Grail War consists of Seven Masters, who each summon a servant. The basic premise is that in every fight the Grail collects energy from the matches themselves, and then absorbs every defeated servant. When there is one pair left the Grail uses all the power it accumulated to grant the victor's wish."

"At least that's how it was supposed to work." added Rin.

"What do you mean?" Aoi asked her daughter.

"By itself the Grail is not actually that harmful. Even the servants that are summoned to death-matches, while to others cruel, to the summoned individuals themselves is just an opportunity. After all the servants were all dead in the first place. One family changed all that. Some unknown time ago, a Grail War happened and the mentioned family decided to hatch a plan to give them some unknown advantage. To hack the ritual itself. While they did not succeed the damage was done and the Grail itself changed. It changed itself so much that it was even able to summon not just heroes but Villians. A better term would be Anti-Heroes. Not only that, the wish granting function of the Grail became something like a Monkey's Paw."

"Monkey's Paw?" asked Miyuki.

"It is term taken from the short story by W.W. Jacobs. It is used to describe a wish granting object or device….but with dire consequences. The Grail as a wish granting device is unequaled, so even corrupted it can still achieve its functions, but due to the corruption it will grant it in the worse way possible. If, for example you decide to wish to become the most beautiful person in the world, the Grail will grant you that wish by killing every single person you consider more beautiful than yourself. Even a wish as noble as world peace…. will probably be granted by killing all of humanity. Which will technically grant the world Peace by removing all that can cause conflict."

"That is terrible!" said Mayumi.

"And a very serious possibility. It was for that reason the King Arthur himself destroyed the Grail before it could be used." said Rin.

"So did you also get that information from Merlin's tome?" said Kiritsugu.

"It is more complicated than that. You see, there actually wasn't any information about the Grail War in the tome itself, but one day while we were researching the book, somehow we all got visions. We somehow were able to see memories of participants of a Grail War. We saw how brutal and merciless this war is. We saw it from beginning to end, including a vision of the consequences of using the Grail." said Shirou. It was a stretch. He didn't like lying as he doesn't believe he is good at it but he has no choice in the matter. The Grail War is already on the realm of unbelievable, he doesn't want to have to explain the Kaleidoscope." A little white lie if fine I suppose. "That is why I managed to react so quickly to defend Tatsuya and Misaki, because I saw that man in our vision of the Grail Wars."

"And who was that? Why did he try to kill Masaki and me?" asked Tatsuya.

"The blonde asshole's name is Gilgamesh. King of Uruk. An arrogant man with Divine blood who ruled all of humanity some 6000 years ago. The hero of the oldest myth known to man, and the origin of most of humanities heroes. It was because of these reasons he holds the title King of Heroes." Rin sat down, seemingly tired for the day she continued, "As for the reasons why he attacked you, I honestly don't know. In the visions the man was such an arrogant prick, that it could be as petty as hating Masaki's hair color. In the visions his reasons for the Grail was because he thought the current humans were too filthy for his Rule, so he wanted to eliminate the unworthy ones."

"Morgana is not any better. As far as we know she wants to use the Grail so she can kill half of the population and rule whoever is left. Mainly the ones she deemed worthy to live." said Illya.

"And the one you fought, Shirou?" Kiritsugu was curious.

Shirou broken from his thoughts answered his father, "The man I fought, his name was Siegfried. The Hero of the Nibelungenlied. A man sung as an equal of thousands. The most famous Dragon Slayer in history. A warrior so strong he was only able to be killed by his own sacrifice. A man worthy of his legend." Shirou looked up in thought, "From what I can tell when we talked he just wants a worthy fight." Kinda reminds me of that blue lancer.

"Can we get to the main point? How do we stop them?" asked Honami, who so far has been silent.

"…. You can't," was the answer that she did not want to hear.

"There has got to be something we can do!" she insisted.

"There is a way but…. it's too dangerous." Shirou countered.

"We can at least give them information." Rin gave in. While she is used to keeping secrets, too many in this kind of situation is counterproductive. "If we can't think of anything doesn't mean none of them can. Even if the information just helped them reduce casualties next time. Illya if you please." Rin decided the living Grail should be more qualified to explain things.

"There are 7 normal classes of servant. The first three; Saber, Archer, and Lancer are considered Knight classes. In terms of Stats they are most well rounded of the bunch with hardly any weaknesses. The last 4 are; Rider, Assassin, Caster, and Berserker. They are considered Cavalry Classes each with specific specialties, that usually matches the class. It also corresponds to their weaponry and legends." Illya started to write on a white board that no one saw was there before.

"The Rider class, is for someone whose legend related to their skills as a rider, for example Alexander the Great and his Chariot."

"The Lancer class is someone famed with legendary skills with the spear, like Cu Chullain."

"An Archer like it's title is someone famous for his aim that specialize projectile weapons, but not limited to bows and arrows. Gilgamesh is in this class just for his habit of telepathically shooting all sorts of weapons."

"The Assassin class is someone known for assassination and stealth. An Old Man of the Mountain Hassan-i-Sabbah usually will get summoned as they themselves are the origin of the word."

"A Caster class is again a given, someone famous for the mystic arts. Morgana qualifies for this class."

"And Saber class is someone famous for their swordsmanship, or the legend of their swords. Siegfried and his Balmung is in this class."

"The final class is the Berserker. Almost anyone that was famed as somewhat crazy can qualify for this class. Herakles qualifies for this due to his legend of Hera making him mad, killing his family."

"When you talk about the Saber class servant Siegfried, didn't your son shout out Excalibur during their fight? That sword he used is also something from Myth and Legend. Let alone it being real, how does your son have the most legendary sword of England?" Kouchi inquired.

"What I used was a copy that I made based from the visions of the Grail War."

"You created a legendary mythical sword out of magic? How talented do you have to be to do that? Let alone even as a fake, it was still able to clash with the servant's sword like that, and with so much force. We could even feel the magic even from afar, not counting the debris and winds that was generated through your clash," stated Mayumi.

"It hasn't been in recent memory, but quite normal in a Grail War. A clash of Noble Phantasms." said Shirou.

"Noble Phantom?" asked Miya.

"Noble Phantasm," Rin clarified. "Magical Artifacts and Weapons of the Heroic Spirits. A hero's myth, power, and legend made real."

"That is very informative, but you have yet to tell us how to defeat them," said Honami.

"We already said that that is impossible at everyone's current level." Shirou slowly said, "One of the things you need to know is that the more famous the legend, and longer the history will greatly affect how powerful the Heroic Spirit is. Some spirits cannot be compared to humans anymore due to some even having Divinity like Gilgamesh. Siegfried himself due to his legend of bathing in dragon blood became part dragon. Due to that, just their bodies surpass the norm and in terms of magic output alone, a single one of them can match multiple strategic class magicians. Not only that some have skills that are out of the norm, and have spells from the age of gods. Morgana herself was a witch that was said to equal even Merlin. Direct confrontation is unadvisable and downright suicidal. The only rational way is the Masters?"

"The Masters?" asked Suzune.

"Heroic Spirits are extremely powerful, but it doesn't change the fact that they are already dead. They need an anchor to the current world, and cannot even summoned without one. The Masters are the mages contracted individually with each Servant. The Grail gives the magi a total of 3 Command Seals. These seals are unique to each contract and hold the power of absolute obedience. It is also the true anchor, or proof of contract. It is one weakness all servants share." Rin explained, "If you nullify the Command Seals, the Servants themselves will vanish after a time if they do not have a contract with anyone. Cutting off someone's arm that has the seals, killing the Master, or the Master could willingly give away the seals. This is the easiest way to deal with Heroic Spirits, because modern magi are nothing in comparison."

"Why you didn't tell us about this before?" asked Aoi.

"We believed that the Grail ritual was completely destroyed and that it would no longer present any danger. Then again, maybe we were just in denial as we really didn't want to think about those particular memories." Said Shirou wryly.

"We should contact the Master clans and coordinate with the SDF so we can be ready to face them with greater numbers," stated Kouichi.

"Didn't you hear when Shirou said direct confrontation is suicidal? Even an entire army of the best magicians that the SDF and the Master clans can gather would be decimated within minutes. To be honest, even among us five Shirou is the only one that confront them directly." said Illya. Her voice slightly demeaning.

"Shirou is the only one? Aren't you four also extremely powerful?" asked Honami, her surprise unhidden. "Sakura-san was powerful enough to go against almost all the magicians in the Yotsuba family singlehandedly. Are you saying she is also no match? "asked Maya. She remembered that day when that young woman arrogantly walked into their protected home, and showed even alone who held their lives that day. That day she knew only she and her sister would've stood any chance against her. Her statement brought surprised gasps from the rest who were uninformed of the incident. They all looked at the shy purple haired girl, which she nodded in acceptance.

"She fought the Yotsuba Family alone?!" asked a surprised Mayumi.

"It really wasn't that hard," admitted Sakura. Slightly embarrassed that everyone is focusing on her. "I even held back just in case they were hiding more skilled magicians. Challenging a servant is different. First of all, their abilities can surpass normal magic and go straight into the conceptual category. Albeit in terms of destruction, some strategic class magicians including us can match them in terms of damage, but most of the servants have Magic Resistance, which puts us at a disadvantage. Also, don't forget the fact that they are heroes of legend. They were individuals that were either strong, or exceptional enough for the world to record them in the Throne of Heroes. Most are individuals that were peerless in their time for their specialties. While at best we can survive an encounter with one, only Shirou among all of us can consistently challenge them."

"The Knight classes are way to balanced, but normally we could've had a chance against a Caster, or an Assassin class servant, but that really depends who was actually summoned. Even the weakest servant at the base is stronger than most in the world." added Illya.

"So….what can we do?" asked Kiritsugu.

"The Grail, due to its massive energy requirements could only be located at the center of a leyline that is rich in natural mana. If we can find it the main leyline, and locate the center of the Grail we can cancel it altogether by disrupting either the leyline itself or the Ritual Arrays."

"That is good…it's not completely hopeless at least. We'll have our people research and investigate all possible ritual sites. What do we do until then?" asked Kouichi.

"I would recommend that you stay away of this situation, to be honest." Shirou admitted. "But I have the feeling that all of us will get dragged by it anyways, so I recommend that you do what we are going to do."

"And what is that?"

"Train, train, train as your lives depend it. Especially since they probably already know about us." answered Shirou.

"But how is that be possible?" asked Tatsuya.

"Ever since we began publishing our articles on magical knowledge, we have been trying to change on how people see magic. To help progress it in a way, so that the modern world's magic would not be inferior to Merlin's time. Knowledge and practices that were lost since his time. Then Shirou used Excalibur on Live television broadcasted around the world. Add that after they connect it to us, we have a company named, 'Avalon Tech,' it'd be pretty easy to connect the dots as long as they have correct information," explained Rin. "We already know that Morgana is targeting us from what we showed today, and we still have to watch how the world reacts to us."

"So, in few words, a battle with these demi-gods is imminent and even if we win it is likely that we can no longer hide that we are a family with five strategic class magicians." said Tatsuya.

"Survival is first, most of all. We can think of that once we have minimized the threat." said Kiritsugu, always the professional.

"Looks that we need to make a few very important choices. Choices that can't wait for next time." said Irisiviel.

Everyone present was silent from then on until they all separated. All had their own thoughts on the current situation.

While that was happening, in the China Town of Yokohama. A very similar yet different gathering was taking place.

"Care to tell me what that show that you put out there was! You were supposed to see the participants and determine who were the best sacrifices, as you learn how to deal with undercover missions in this era!" said a man on a video scream. It was obvious that he wasn't happy.

"I do as I please." The arrogant king calmly stated. The disdain clear on his face. "Remember your place plebeian, or do I need to give you a reminder?" His annoyance visibly growing.

The general that was on the screen had already seen a demonstration of the power that arrogant prick of a king. As much as he hated the guy, his strength is the real deal. He knows they have no chance unless another one of those THINGS actually listened to them. He wanted to use one of his 'seals,' to make the ass comply, but thought better of it. He chose to change the subject instead.

"Captain Chen Xiangshan, you need to keep your underlings under control." said the General.

"My deepest apologies."

Both were inwardly conflicted. These 'spirits,' were supposed to be the key to finally destroying their enemies in Japan. A way to quickly equal and surpass the superpowers of Asia. They succeeded, but the beings that were summoned were stronger than even the most positive estimations, and each individual is quite difficult to control. The original summoner of the ritual were already on his last legs due to Mana Strain, and was only saved by the Caster class servant making it possible to make new pacts with other magicians.

"However, we managed to learn that Japan also had started their own Grail Ritual and had already summoned servants." said Chen Xiangshan. He pressed a button and on the General side information and images of the one that fought their Saber started to show on his console.

"They were not servants. They were living magicians born of this era." stated Siegfried matter-of-factly, who was reclined on the wall in the back part of the room.

"Explain." said Chen Xiangshan. His brows joining together in exasperation.

"When we fought against each other, his strength is easily felt. His magic was condensed in every attack. He is human. A live human that has skill and magic that can match us. Truly, if I did not witness it myself, even I find it unbelievable that a magician of this era can match me. Let alone match me in swordsmanship. A worthy wielder of the last phantasm Excalibur.

"Worthy? Prince of the Netherlands, I think the fight might've shook your head too much. He is just a mongrel." said Gilgamesh matter of factly.

"…"

"About him, we had a run in with that magician in the past. We know the damage that he and his friends can do, but now thanks to this battle we had gathered enough information to make plans for him. We will no longer be caught unawares." said Zhou Gongjin.

Unbeknownst to everyone Zhou Gongjin not only wants to destroy Japan, but the GAA as well. Although outwardly he is a perfect soldier, his inner self crave nothing but destruction. His only motivation in doing this was to give him a chance to cause chaos. Even to Caster's surprise the man was able to discern her plans, yet he has done nothing but encourage her. Suffice to say Caster was extremely happy for such a splendid to—master.

"You can keep talking about this farce. This talk has bored me," said Gilgamesh as he vanishes into molts of light. The other servants around soon followed suit, leaving the masterminds of the GAA to continue to plan.

Back in a dark room where the keep their Berserker in chains to keep him subdued. All seven servants have gathered.

"Well witch, what was so important that you want to have this meeting?"

"Just that we had finally found the answer to our only weakness." said Morgana.

"What do you mean?" asked a beautiful dark haired woman with elf traits.

"As you all know, as we were summoned by idiots who don't know they used an incomplete ritual. While the command seals they have are useless, they still work as a proof of contract that tethers us to the living world. This is an advantage that allows us almost full control, while unknown to our dear Masters. With just a slight modification I can control what they know, and see about us. Which allows to do some things." The woman was clearly up to no good.

"Don't dally witch! My patience is already limited!"

"Good things come to those that have patience my dear King of Heroes." The witch calmly answered, the smile on her face seemed to get bigger as the blonde man gets more irritated. "But fine…the freedom that I can provide us would allow us to find a certain person that has quite a special characteristic."

"What would that be?" a servant who was holding a spear on shoulder asked.

"Outwardly he looks like any other person in this age, but due to my research mind reading most of these magicians I have reason to believe that this person is part servant. A Demi-servant if you will."

"And that helps us how?!" the blonde king arrogantly asks. His patience wearing thin.

"A specimen that rare can give a magi insights you buffoon. If we can experiment on that body, we may be able to create a body that would be able to house our spirits while serving as a source of mana. Which means, we will no longer be dependent on our contractors for energy." The long eared beauty explained.

"Silence, you lowly Assassin! We may come from the same nation, but even you do not have the liberty to speak to me in that tone! Semiramis." The man was ready to skewer the woman in front of him.

"Self-absorbed fool! Hmph! Don't think I'll be intimidated by a poser king that don't know how to act like royalty. Keep talking to me like that and I wouldn't mind adding another 'King,' to my belt." The woman named Semiramis did not back down. Black bladed chains started forming around her, pointed at the blonde like it's about to attack.

"Thinking that you are in any way equal to me is that height of arrogance!" he scoffed. "If a demonstration of superiority is what you desire, then you are free to behold and die Queen of Poison!" Golden portals formed around him, and weapons started to slowly come out of them.

"Enough! This is not the time nor the place. There are more important things to do." said Siegfried. Getting in between the two.

"Saber is right; we need to plan what will be our next objective." The spear wielder added.

"Well, if no one has anything to add, just leave it to me." Said Morgana. Her mind already full of ideas on how to destroy their new enemy. She will never let the legacy of that 'man' live again, that she inwardly swore. Those brats will die no matter what.

The servants around her said nothing more, as they looked at each other until all started vanishing into mots of light, leaving only Morgana in the room. She would take it as their silence as their tacit approval. Well even if didn't approve she probably still would've done what she wanted, but this definitely would be more preferable. Especially since most of the people that can challenger her in the world were in the room with her.

How Wonderful! She sang. A tiptoe in her steps. Unchallenged is best after all.

At the Emiya Estate, Tatsuya was seeing of both Saegusa and Yotsuba families being teleported back to their homes outside. His face still with a weird expression as he saw his friends away in silent shock.

"Are you ok son?" surprising Tatsuya, his adopted father Kiritsugu appeared behind him. The man gave him a slight smile.

"Yes….I mean.. I don't know?…..what just happened?" Clearly still in shock.

"You mean how Miya of the Yotsuba clan declared that she was your mother in front of all of us?" Suzune asked teasingly, walking close to Tatsuya. Inwardly she is quite shocked, but could not help it due to his current reaction.

"Oh! How could this happen?" asked Illya, seemingly amused while she rolled her eyes.

"I don't know, by the gods I don't know," said Aoi, while she and the others were looking at Tatsuya, while also a little amused, were worried about his reaction.

"Tatsuya, you are my son." said Kiritsugu, putting his hand on Tatsuya's shoulder to comfort him. "No matter what, you are Tatsuya Emiya, our son, our family."

"And nothing will change that." Added Irisviel with a big smile.

"Now and forever, we are a family and not even those heroic spirits can change that." said Aoi.

Looking at his adopted family he could help his lips curve out to a smile. His earlier shock visibly fading. He couldn't help but chuckle at himself. It was old news after all, and it looks like his family can seem to take everything in stride. His smile never left his face as he went back inside the estate with his siblings. While secretly happy about his mother's revelation, it didn't really change anything in the current state of affairs.

My life already changed for the better, a long time ago. He happily concluded.

Notes:

Hello,About the end of this chapter I will only said that in the next update you will see how Miya will reveal to all the presents that she is Tatsuya mother, or at the very last try to do it.

I want to invite you to see two one shots ficcs that I recently upload. They are crossover with two of my favorite classic series.

One is a crossover between Tekkaman Blade and Battle Star Galactica.

The second one is a crossover between Mass effect and the Exo Squat.

You can find them on my profile

I already have a new one between Tekkaman Blade and mass effect, but it needs a beta, if you want to help me with that one, just send me a PM.

Also, the last week I found a pen drive that I lose years ago, there I found the draw of a ficc that I was working at the time, a crossover between Independence Day and Battle star Galactica. Because I already have to many projects, I will not continue this idea, if some one wants to use this draw, just send me a PM and I will send it to you.

Also, I want to share with you two thoughts.

The first one is about the new Netflix series of Saint Seiya, in few words I don't like it. But it made think about something. The only interesting part about that series is that shows what happened when normal people learn about the existence of persons and warriors with special powers. So far in all anime series we have never see that kind of reaction, the battle keeps happening and the public never knows. So, I began to wondered what if more people learn about the saints and their powers, what if some one even began to believe that the Cosmo energy is zero-point energy that is created by special individuals in an organic way, how the entire planet will react to that.

It could be the base to an interesting crossover of saint seiya and others animes that are happening in the present time or close future.

Like Infinite Stratos, I saw crossovers that were abandoned between these series, but they were all the same; Ichika Orimura is training as a saint and get to infiltrate in the infinite Stratos academy. But what would happen if that world learns about warriors with powers that surpass the best IS armor and that it looks like they can produce zero-point energy with their bodies.

It could be that the battle in the bridged at the beginning of Saint Seiya, legend of the sanctuary was recorded or the new villain release all the information about the saints to the world. Then, Tabane Shinonono manage to get a relic of the sanctuary that is very dangerous or even better, a saint that was injured in a battle and for that reason was easy to capture and for that reason the sanctuary send a gold saint to either recover that relic or rescue that saint, beating the $hit out of everyone that try to stop him, even Chifuyu Orimura was defeated as it was nothing, causing a big impact in the world that saw her as invisible, in special her younger brother. This will cause that the I.S academy will try to learn everything that they can about the cosmo energy and the saint, it will be funny if Chifuyu Orimura feel in love with the saint that defeat her.

Or it could be any other series that are happening in the same era as Sanit seiya.

The second thought is about a manga and novel named Mannen D-rank No Chuunen Boukensha, Yotta Ikioi De Densetsu No Ken Wo Hikkonuku.

It is about a 40 years old pathetic loser that release a sword from a stone, just like Excalibur, the sword made him young again, but the trick is that this sword is not only sentient but a total pervert. In order to gain power the main character had to create a harem and has sex with them, each time that he include a girl in his harem not only he and the girls in the harem get stronger but the girl receive a magic weapon that help to use the new power that she got after she become part of the harem, for each new girl that join the harem all the member increase their power.

So, what could happen if Shirou and all the girls from Fate Stay Night ended in that world, but have all their powers sealed inside Shirou's UBW, of course Shirou can't use his powers again, not only that they re-incarnate in different parts of that world. Then one day Shirou found that sword, get nostalgic after he remember Saber, so he tries to pull out that sword and was surprised when he managed to do it, but began to regret it after he learn that that sword is a big pervert. But he also manages to learn that the girls are also in this world, not only that but that a great danger will also appeared in a few years, so he began to search for the girls, he find them one by one, after they join the "justice harem" they manage to recover their powers and the magic weapon that they get is a replica from one of the weapons from Shirou's UBW.

I recommend you to read this manga and if you find the English version of the novel, please send me back the link.

Finally, two news.

To the people that keep sending me PM asking me to continue my familiar of the zero crossover, I am already working on the second chapter.

Also, I am working on a Naruto ficc, using the idea that I have share with you in a previous chapter. Naruto have an accident in the Uzumaki mask temple and because of that when he is dreaming, he began to remember his past lives as Hashirama Senju and Ashura, the second son of the sage of the six paths, and began to use those dreams to train and become stronger.

So far, I already have two chapters ready and waiting for my Beta.

Until the next time.
