A big thanks to the Higher Power. My team of cheerleaders, My mom, and my son. Love you guys.

I would also like to thank Marc the Unruly, for checking and re-checking, my stories. Thanks Marc. To SlytherSal for being picky and to Noppoh for doing the same and helping me get my point across. Hugs to you weird bunch of writers.

I would like to say that Strugglemuggle, and RobSt are part of my inspiration for this chapter. So if you recognize their influence, then I like you too. Seriously, I'm just happy to read and drown in their ideas.

I don't have the time nor the inclination to humor Trolls, so rude comments to the side.

Reviews are welcome.

Enjoy!

Chapter 4. When Hermione met Andy, er Harry.

29 July 1988.

Hampstead Heath

London UK

3 PM

Harry could not remember a time he cried another tear of despair after the morning that his mom came, picked him up in her arms, and took him to another country. Paddy became his legal guardian. Soon after, his mum and Paddy wed, and he had two new baby brothers. The Blacks traveled around the globe and prepared for the next apocalypse.

Or so his mum said. Looking back, his mom wasn't wrong; his family traveled in a motorhome and had been all over the world. The Blacks even had tropical islands, and homes in major cities all over the world. To his recollection, the best places they spent time at were Thailand, Greece, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada. There was a short stay in the US as well. His parents had learned how to survive in the open. Harry himself had learned how to kick, disable and neutralize a person, ever since he could purposefully use wandless magic. His mother decided he needed to continue his education of being a rebel prince of magic by learning how to be a crazy 'Macgyver' wizard who knew how to control his need to save people. He, along with his twin brothers, Reggie and Iggy, basically got in so much trouble that it made his father proud but only drew his mother's ire.

It was on one of their travels when he was about to turn 8 years old, that Harry made his return to Britain and realized one thing. "Mum, this place sucks."

"Really, Harry, we are here due to our annual visit to the Longbottom's and you know that," replied Mary.

"But it's supposed to be Summer mom, and it's raining," said Harry.

"Yes, I noticed dear, but give it a moment and the rain will recede and you can go to the park and play with your brothers," said Mary Black.

"It still sucks mom," said Harry.

"How lovely, the Potter genes are ready to make a stand," added Mary.

"What?" asked Harry,

"Oh look, just as I said, the rain stopped. You can go to the park now, and don't forget the twins and the dog," said Mary.

"Mom, why does dad have to be in his dog form here?" asked Harry.

"Because, Harry dear, there are crazy wizards who think that your dad is a betrayer and a fugitive that took you from your home and sold out your biological parents, James and Lily. They don't understand that your dad betrayed no one, but since no one wants to know the truth, your dad has to be on his dog form until we reach Potter Glen," answered Mary.

The kids and dog descended the motorhome and Mary stopped Harry. "One more thing Harry, what's your street name?"

"Andy," answered Harry to which Mary insisted, "And your brother's?"

"Matt and Eli and my dog is Snuffles the first," answered Harry with a hint of boredom. Mary nodded and said, "I'll have Luz shadow you all just in case."

"Aw mom, I can take care of my family," said Harry with a bit of annoyance.

"Good, so can I, now go," Answered Mary while she pointed a finger.

The small group went out and began walking when they sensed magic and then heard a yelp. Harry and his family approached a pavilion in the park and inside the place were a series of tables. In a corner, three kids had a girl pressed against a table. Before Snuffles could growl, Harry jumped and kicked the faces of two of the bullies and hit the third in between the legs. Once the three bullies were down, he turned to the girl and asked.

"Are you hurt, can you stand?"

The girl's hair was wild and she had a bruise on her right cheek. The bullies were about to stand back up again, however, a huge black Grimm dog stood in front of them. Harry's brothers, no older than five, looked at the bullies and said in stereo, "Meanies!"

It was then that something wondrous happened. The girl screamed and a backlash wind blew the bullies away. Harry looked at her and his brothers, and then asked his siblings, "Matt, Eli, you guys know we are supposed to keep our power mute, right? Did you guys do that?"

Matt and Eli replied again in stereo. "No, we didn't, she did." Then Matt added as bees and birds chased the bullies, "But we did that."

The girl looked at the boys and asked, "You guys can do things like that too?"

"Yes," answered Harry. Only then he heard a voice. "Andy, Matt, Ely, where are you?"

"Over here mom," answered Harry.

Mary walked near and suddenly she heard a double pop.

"Oh great, more stupid muggles to do on this fine day," said one of two overworked and underpaid wizards.

To which Mary's eyes changed to green, and she brought up a wand. Her voice became icy. "Excuse me, what did you just say?"

"Oh, pardon me, ma'am. Are these lovely children yours?" asked one of the two obliviators.

"Yes, they are my sons and my dog. And you are?" asked Mary/Lily.

"Jebediah Smelts and Amilcar Selwyn, and we were called because of a magical burst in a muggle area."

"Ah, yes, we are traveling to Wales and we stopped for the day. As you can see, there was no damage here."

"Quite true. Do you have your official identification from the Ministry?"

Mary sighed and said yes. She then noticed the young girl sporting a black eye shivering. She knew the girl was a muggle-born witch and they would brainwash her in front of her sons and husband, so she answered. "Let me get my papers from Luz."

A flash of light happened and soon the ministry workers were out cold just like the bullies in the distance. Luz the house-elf could not appear in front of strangers unless her mistress agreed to it, and Mary did not disappoint. "Luz, please take care of the boys on the receiving end of the bees and birds and I'll take care of the despots in red. Siri, please make sure that the perimeter is clear, and Andy, Matt, and Eli, please offer the girl some tea. We must keep manners. We, unlike the gentlemen on the ground, are not uncouth baboons. Hurry up."

Harry noticed the girl kept looking at him. He nodded and said, "Here, let me see your book." She blinked and nodded. He took the book and looked into it and the book started repairing itself as it floated in midair. The twins brought out a wicker basket the size of their fist and then the two just said in stereo, "Tea please." A teapot and a cup appeared. Matt poured while Eli asked, "would you like lemon or milk with your tea?" To which the girl said, "Lemon and honey if you have it?" Harry smiled and said, "Of course we do, would you like a biscuit with that too?"

The girl blushed and nodded. Only then did the boy's mother come and talk to the girl. "Hi there, I'm Mrs. Mary Black and these monkeys are Andy, Matt, and Eli. And you are?"

"I'm Hermione Jean Granger, very nice to meet you, ma'am," said Hermione as she extended her hand.

Mary/Lily remembered that name, before traveling back to 1981. This was Harry's soulmate. Mary took her hand and said, "Well, now that we know each other we are no longer strangers, Miss Granger. You have a nasty bruise on your face. If you would like, I can fix that in a sec. Would it be alright if I bring out my magic wand?"

"You have a magic wand? You mean Magic is real?" asked the girl with eyes as big as an owl.

"Why, yes child, magic is quite real, but I suggest we have a change of scenery since I don't want to explain to the slumbering despots in red or the little gorillas over there any more information than I have to. Do you have a way to ring your parents and let them know where you are so they can join us for tea?"

"Yes, my home is around the corner. Why don't you come over and meet them? We can have tea there too?"

Mary nodded and said, "Okay, but first let me freshen this group of monkeys up into presentable monkeys, and put a bow on Mr. Snuffles."

The boys and dog whined, which made Hermione giggle, and, after a swish of a wand, the boys looked cleaner and the dog had a bow on his collar. Mrs. Black had changed into a pretty summer dress and she waved her wand at Hermione who felt the pain on her face and body recede while her clothes stitched themselves back together. Soon, she realized she even smelled like her favorite perfume. She felt like crying and hugged the woman, not without giving her thanks.

"Thank you, Mrs. Black."

"Don't mention it dear. Now, please lead on." Hermione nodded and got her book bag. Harry said, "You're hurt. If you want me to, I can take your bag?"

"Yeah, okay. By the way, thank you for taking those morons out of my face," said Hermione as she walked out and got closer to a very well-appointed home. "You're welcome," said Harry.
