Kouga parked on the curb in front of the Swan's residence. Kagome could feel the worry and anxiety pouring out of Bella from there. She could also feel that Edward had join the waiting party. When they entered the house, all three of them were at the dining room table doing homework. Bella's head shot up when she heard kagome walk in, "How did it go?"

Kagome sighed, "It didn't necessarily go bad but it definitely didn't go good either. The alpha was far to agitated for it to have gone any other way. Billy seemed welcoming though."

Shippo ran his fingers through his crimson hair, "We will have to hope that the next meeting will go better." He rubbed kagome's back to reassure her.

Edward wore his confusion plainly, "Another meeting?"

Kagome sighed, "We all thought it best to wait until Sesshomaru got here before they decided to either welcome us or try to get rid of us." She gave a laugh, "Not that they really could get rid of us if they really wanted to but you get the picture."

"You think that highly of yourselves, don't you?" Edward scoffed. Bella turned toward him with a disapproving look.

Kagome chuckled, "Not really, but they are just children. They know nothing of battle. They are not trained properly to take us on. We have taken on armies side by side."

Edward cut her off, "When? Where? I haven't heard of any great wars in decades and yet you speak as if you are fresh from the battlefield."

Kagome shook her head, "You are not ready to hear my story yet, and quite frankly, I'm not ready to tell it."
