Sorry for the delay in updating. As we head in to a four day weekend I will hopefully get another chapter in this week. Work has been a bit mad so I have fallen behind a bit. But as always thank you so much for all of your support.
I'm All In
Jax stirred as he heard the water switch off. He looked around and realised that Haley wasn't in the room as he sat up the bathroom door opened revealing Haley wrapped in a towel. This did not help Jax.
"Hey." She spoke softly pulling his attention from her body to her eyes. He could see her blushing and again that did not help Jax.
Haley took a deep breath, there was just something about the way that he was looking at her that stirred something inside of her. And as he got up and walked towards her so that they were face to face, their bodies practically touching Haley suddenly felt nervous. She watched as Jax smirked at her.
"Unless you are going to help me out here sweetheart, I better take a cold shower." He watched her blush again which drove him crazy, because he knew that she would have seen and now felt his hardness.
He knew that some of this was all new to her, mainly the sex part. It had been a long time since he had been with a virgin Tara being the last when she had been 16 and since then when she left he had spent his time with endless women who were far from virgins but standing in front of Haley seeing her blush and remembering how good it felt inside of her he couldn't help but tease her a little.
"Cold shower it is."
Jax smirked at her comment but he knew it would be the answer. He was disappointed...well maybe a little until he turned to head into the bathroom and he felt her grab him before capturing his lips with hers.
Jax returned her kiss but quickly took control pushing her back until she was pressed against he door jam. Their kiss never faltered though until they both heard a knock at the door. "Ignore it." Jax spoke against her lips as he continued to kiss her he felt her hand on his back pulling him closer if that was possible.
"Jax open up!"
"Tig." Jax sighed.
"Get the door." Haley spoke softly with a smile. knowing that he couldn't really ignore it.
"I'm gonna kill him." Jax half joked which caused Haley to laugh.
Reluctantly pushing away from her, Jax adjusted himself grabbing his jeans and pulling them on. He pulled open the door.
"Yeah."
"We're uh..." Tig stopped mid sentence and Jax watched a sly smile form on his face, Jax looked over his shoulder and he saw Haley over by the dresser grabbing some clothes. She was of course still wrapped in her towel that just barely covered her. He had admired the same view just moments ago but now knowing that Tig was doing the same it pissed him off so Jax moved quickly blocking Tig's view of her.
"Nice..." Tig commented with a smirk and a wink.
"What is it?" Jax asked growing more frustrated.
"Just Church in 10 brother."
"Fine." With that Jax slammed the door.
"Everything okay?" Haley asked
"Yeah." He walked back over to her. "We've got to get ready though," He grabbed a shirt from the dresser.
"My Dad I need to get to the hospital..."
"I know I just need to have this meeting, so I'll get a prospect to go with you..."
"I can go on my own." He shook his head.
"No. It's not safe for you to go alone..."
"Do you really think someone will try and hurt me?" Haley asked cautiously.
"Not if I have anything to do about it. I promise, but I don't want you leaving his side okay." She nodded in agreement and with that he captured her lips again. He could feel her giving into him and he would take her right there but he had church and he needed to be there especially if he was going to keep that promise to her.
Once they were both dressed they stole one last kiss knowing that they couldn't be like this outside of the room before Jax led the way down the hall, he could hear the chatter coming from the bar and the smell of food wafted under his nose. His mother had clearly been busy.
Although they were not touching he kept close to Haley, especially when he saw Tig sat at one end of the bar with Kyle and Chibs. Having Tig ogle her this morning had pissed him off. He wasn't blind. Haley had a great body and now he had seen it naked he new exactly what it looked like and it had suddenly made him very aware that so did everyone else. Haley was far from a girl who flaunted herself but even dressed now in a pair of jeans and a simple white white v-neck top which clung to her body showing off her small but ample cleavage, she looked hot.
"Hey sweetheart" His mothers voice drew his attention back to Haley. He watched as his mother embraced Haley. When they pulled away she turned her attention to him. "Jackson." Jax lent in and met his mothers kiss on the cheek.
"Mom."
"Lets get you some breakfast." Gemma spoke diverting her attention back to Haley.
Haley looked from Gemma to Jax. He noticed her hesitation and he was hesitate as well. He hadn't told Haley about the conversation that he'd had with his mother, but Gemma grabbed Haley's hand and started pulling her into the kitchen before Jax could do anything.
He spotted Donna and Opie at one of the tables. He walked over to them dropping a kiss on top of Donna head.
"Hey Don, wanna do me favour?"
"Hmm depends." Donna teased with a smile.
"Run interference." He nodded in the direction of Gemma and Haley who were just disappearing into the kitchen. "Haley doesn't need to take on my mother today."
"Sure. These babies want another one of Bobby's blueberry muffins anyway." Jax helped Donna to her feet. He still couldn't believe that his best friend was going to be a dad to twins in just a few months.
"Sending my pregnant wife into the battlefield." Opie spoke as Jax took Donna's now vacant seat.
"Even my mother can't be mean to a pregnant woman." He watched Opie raise a brow. "Okay maybe that's not true."
"What's happenin' between you two?" Opie briefly looked over his shoulder towards Tig before returning his eyes to Jax. "Tig said..."
"Tig talks shit."
"He does, but he said she was practically naked..."
Seeing the rage in Jax's eyes before he looked over his shoulder at Tig, Opie reached out and grabbed Jax's arm stopping him from getting up from his chair.
"Not worth it brother..." Jax could feel his anger raging but he stayed put. "What's going on with you two?" Opie asked again.
"Nothin'... She's family" Jax snapped in anger.
"You sure that's all she is?" Jax shook his head and Opie sensed he was getting nowhere. "This isn't just about you, it's about her and how she's seen." Opie's words caught Jax's full attention but he was raging especially if what his best friend was saying was true. But Jax couldn't deal with that right now.
"Where's Juice." He asked bluntly.
"Outside." With that Jax left his seat and stormed out of the clubhouse. And that was when Opie knew Jax had feelings for Haley
"You sleep okay?" Gemma asked as she poured two cups of coffee, before looking over her shoulder back at Haley. She at least had the sense to look nervous.
"Yes thank you."
"So what would you like?" Gemma pointed to the spread she had spent that morning baking, along with a little help from Bobby.
"Coffee is fine."
Gemma sighed. If this was any other girl she would feel no guilt in what she was about to say but this was Haley, her best friends daughter. She cared for her but at the same time she wouldn't let her break apart her sons. So pouring the coffee she walked over to Haley and handed her a cup but as there hands touched Gemma never let go.
"Do you know what you are doing here baby. Sam, Jax..." She could see Haley physically squirm and Gemma was reminded again just how young and naïve she was. "You made a choice. If you are changing that choice you need to be prepared for the consequences of that." Gemma moved closer to Haley. "Do you know how this will look for Jax..." Gemma watched the concern fill Haley's pretty Hazel eyes but before she could continue they were both interrupted meaning the conversation was over.
Haley participated in the small talk with Donna and Gemma as best she could but Gemma's words were running through her mind and all she wanted to do was leave. So when she found the right opportunity she excused herself.
Fleeing from the kitchen her eyes scanned the bar for Jax but she couldn't see him, but when she saw Opie she quickly walked over to him.
"Hey, have you seen Jax?"
"Yeah he just headed outside."
"Okay, thank you." As she headed for the door, she could feel eyes on her but she did her best to ignore them as well as the low whistle coming from the curly haired guy that she thought was called Tig. Pushing open the clubhouse door she looked around until she spotted him.
"Jax." Haley spoke as she approached him and a guy with a Mohawk who she didn't know. She still spared him a smile. "Can I go and see my Dad now?"
"Sure." Jax looked back at Juice. "Go get the truck." Juice nodded and headed away from the two.
The two just stood in silence for a moment both watching as Juice made his way across the lot. Unbeknown to one another that they were both thinking about the conversations they had just had.
Jax was mad because it sounded like his brothers were talking about Haley and Haley was thinking about Jax and what Gemma had said about how this would look for him.
"I'll come by the Hospital later." Jax spoke breaking silence.
"Okay." There was something in her voice that caught Jax's attention. Turning to face her Jax noticed that she looked tense. Gemma was all he thought. He moved to stand in front of her.
"What did she say to you?" Haley tried to avoid his gaze but Jax hooked his finger under her chin making her look at him. Haley was about to tell him but she saw Juice approaching in the truck. She removed herself from his touch which caused Jax to frown in confusion.
Jax never got to say anything though as Juice pulled up beside them.
"Bye Jax."
"I'll come by the Hospital when I can." Haley nodded and climbed into the truck. Jax looked through the passenger window at Juice. "Take care of her."
Jax walked back into the clubhouse. He saw his mother and was about to walk over to her when he heard his name being called. He looked over and saw Clay standing in the chapel doors it was time for church. Gemma would have to wait.
"So we still have no location of Darby." Clay spoke when everyone was settled. "However, Unser heard about a party where a kid OD'd on crank, a witness said the drugs were brought just outside Charming, literally on the boarder. Which means Darby and his crew can't be far."
"Where was the party?" Bobby asked.
"Oakland."
"What kind of party was it?" All eyes went to Jax.
"I don't know some kind of college party." Clay answered unsure of where this was going.
"What if I said I could get someone on the inside, someone to lure out Darby and his guys."
"That could work." Clay responded.
"Who would be your in?" Tig asked. Jax shook his head. He couldn't deal with Tig today.
"Steve Miller."
"Okay let's get on that. In the meantime I've called in reinforcements. Tacoma are on their way." This caught Jax's full attention.
"Visiting time is over honey." Haley looked over her shoulder at the nurse standing in the doorway.
"Okay." Haley answered with a smile.
When the door closed Haley scooted her chair closer to her Dad. He was still in the coma and when she had spoken to the doctors they had informed her that when they could pull him out of the coma there could still be complications.
So today Haley had made the call. There was no way she could leave not right now. Technically she was due to leave for college at the weekend but today she had called UCLA and turned down her position. She couldn't leave him.
Haley lent forward and placed a kiss on his forehead. "I love you Daddy."
Haley ran her hand over her face and through her long curly hair. She was tired, today had been exhausting and emotional. It was the only way she could explain it so with an deep breath Haley grabbed her belongings and made her way towards the prospect, who had introduced himself as Juice. However when she turned the corner instead of seeing Juice she saw Jax.
"Hey." Her voice caught his attention and she watched as he forced a smile that didn't even reach his eyes. Something was wrong. Raking a seat on one of the plastic chairs next to him, she rested her hand on top of his "Tough day?" She asked.
"Yeah. How's your Dad doing?"
"No change really."
"I'm sorry." Haley shrugged. "We need to talk Hales."
"Yeah I guess we do." Jax shifted in his seat so he could see her better.
"What do you want to happen here with us?"
"What do you want?" Even after all that had happened today, his talk with Opie, his mother, the fact that was Sam was on his way back again. Jax wanted Haley. He knew from the moment their lips touched in the hospital for the first time. he was in, but he needed to know if she was too because this could ruin him and Sam.
"I'm in Haley I want this, us..."
"What happens to you if we do this? Will it cause you problems in the club... Your Mom said..." She felt him hold her hand tighter.
"My Moms says to much." Her words quickly giving Jax the understanding of what conversation took place between the two in the kitchen this morning. "Hayley look I care for yo..." Haley lent forward and kissed him, cutting Jax off mid sentence. Jax quickly returned the kiss but before it could go to far Haley pulled away.
"I'm in." Haley spoke breathlessly. "I'm all in."
