The Deal

Chrissie looked out the window and watched as Sam washed his bike. She was his wife and was carrying his child, she loved him but she always knew that he never loved her the way she loved him.

She would be the first to admit that she was attracted to him because of his family and the club. All girls wanted the bad boy with heart and that was Sam, or so she thought. When they had first started seeing one another it was just sex and she had accepted that but the longer they kept doing that the more she started to develop feelings for him and before she knew it she was in love. But Sam was always a little bit distant, like something was stopping him or rather distracting him and even if Sam didn't know it Chrissie knew that that something was Haley Parker.

Haley was Sam's best friend and Sam always seemed to put her first but when Sam had officially made her his girlfriend Chrissie really thought that he loved her but it wasn't long before he was dumping her and then Chrissie had to watch as her worst fears came true when she saw Sam kissing Haley at Fun Town. Chrissie was devastated because at that point she knew that she was pregnant with Sam's child.

When the test had turned positive she knew that she was going to keep the baby, but she didn't want to do it alone. So she had to tell Sam but when she realised that he was with Haley, Chrissie panicked that Sam wouldn't want anything to do with her and the baby, but to her surprise when she had confessed the truth Sam had done everything right.

He stood up and took responsibility and told her that he would always been there for her and their baby. Chrissie had been wary that if they remained in Charming she or her child would never really have Sam. So when her Dad got a new job Chrissie knew this was her opportunity to make Sam really hers, it was risky but when she told him that she was leaving she was so happy when Sam said that he was coming too but it wasn't the dream that Chrissie had hoped for.

He was distant, barley spoke to her and when he did speak he was short and snappy and this stress had led to Chrissie being rushed to the hospital. After that scare things got better for them, they even got married and Chrissie finally felt that Sam was in this relationship but then Haley's accident happened and Sam of course went running back to her and it was then that Chrissie thought about leaving him. Her parents disliked him and the longer they stayed in Tacoma she felt him start to resent her because Sam had Haley on this pedestal that was so high that Chrissie knew she could never challenge or match.

Well until she received the message.

She had been home alone when her phone bleeped. She remembered smiling when she saw the name of an old friend 'Lizzy' flash up on her phone. But when she opened the message and saw the picture Chrissie was shocked.

There as plain as day was Haley and Jax kissing.

Chrissie felt a range of emotion looking at the photo but the only thought that she kept coming back to was Sam. She knew that it would hurt him but she also knew that this could be the thing that finally put an end to Sam and Haley. Which meant that maybe Sam could give her and their unborn child the love they deserved.

Jax sat in the Diner along with Clay, Tig, Bobby and Chibs. Darby had finally come out of hiding and reached out so this was why they were here, but Jax was already annoyed.

"You killed two of my guys." Darby spat from across the other side of the table, Darby to surrounded by a few of his men.

"It was an accident." Jax remarked leaning forward onto his elbows. "Guessing just like going after our families were. The fire at Parkers Hardware." Jax watched Darby smirk and Jax felt his anger grow.

"Yeah that was an accident." Jax shook his head and lent back in his seat to stop himself from reaching across the table and punching him.

"You need to stop pushing crank into my town." Clay demanded trying to move this conversation along.

"Fine. But I need something from you."

"What is it?"

"Your connection in Oakland. Laroy. He has been pushing in my territory. If that keeps happening I'll be forced to push into other places, like Charming. You did blow up my cook house so you owe me."

"I'd say we were even." Jax snapped growing frustrated with the whole conversation. He got to his feet and started to walk away when Darby spoke again.

"How's your little girlfriend. My guys were sad they missed her at the store."

Clay ran a hand over his face knowing what Darby's comment would do and just as he had that thought he watched as Jax turned back and lunged at Darby.

Tig and Chibs quickly reacted pulling Jax back just as Darby's men took a defensive stance.

"ENOUGH." Clay shouted. He could see the people in the restaurant starting to stare. With Jax restrained and back in his seat. Clay continued. "We have a deal but coming after our families that stops or I'll kill you myself."

"Done."

"We'll need time to get a meet set and we'll need a cut." Darby nodded, he knew Clay wouldn't do this out of the goodness of his heart, and Darby needed this.

"Okay."

Jax was the first to leave the diner, quickly followed by the others. Jax just felt so angry, so when he felt the hand on his shoulder he quickly knocked it away spinning round to see Clay.

"You need to calm down son, what was that in there?"

"He was baiting me."

"Yeah he was and you played right into it." Jax looked around at his brothers all of them looking a little pissed at him. Clay pulled Jax away so it was just the two of them. "Where were you last night?" Jax never answered but his face told Clay everything. "Haley." Jax nodded. "Her Dad know about you two?" Again Jax nodded. "Your mothers going to love this."

"Look her Dad is good with it Clay." Clay raised his brow. "Well as good as he can be. He just wants her to be happy and I can do that."

"Look we have this. I can do the Laroy meet. You need to head to Tacoma."

"Yeah."

And Jax knew that he had to. Now that Daniel knew and he was okay with it then Jax needed to speak to his brother. He needed to be honest with him.

"I can spare Ope, still don't want you riding alone." Jax nodded. "But remember son if Sam says no..."

"Yeah I know." However the truth was Jax knew he couldn't let her go.

Her Dad had insisted that he wanted to go to the store. She had tried to talk him out of it, saying he wasn't well enough but he was determined so that meant that Haley was going to.

It was the first time they had both been there since that night. The memories hit Haley but as she watched her Dad look around the store that he had built from scratch, the store that her late mother had help build, the store that she had grown up in, the store that once held so many good memories that were now tarnished with the attack.

They both took a silent moment together before the clean-up started.

Haley wiped the back of her hand across her forehead. They had been at this for hours so when she heard stomach growl she knew that they probably both needed to eat. "Hey Dad you hungry?"

"Sure."

"Okay, I'll pop across to the Deli."

"Thank Kiddo."

Haley smiled and dropped a kiss onto his cheek before grabbing her bag and heading out of the store. It wasn't until she walked outside she realised how late it had got. The sky was dusk and she only realised how hard today had been when she looked across the street and instead of seeing Juice she saw Jax.

Seeing him just set something off inside of her and the tears started but before she fully lost it she felt his hand on her cheek.

"You okay?" She nodded but he knew it was a lie. "What is it?"

Haley stepped away from his touch and wiped at her tears as a smile graced her lips as she shook her head. "I'm just being silly...It's just the first time I've been back here since that night."

Jax hooked his finger under her chin. "You're not being silly. That night was scary." And it was for him too. He remembered how he felt in those moments when Emily Duncan had come into the Chapel and said that the store was on fire, and thinking that she was the one inside of the burning building.

"I was just about to go and pick up some food, do you want to join us?

"I can't." He watched her frown. "The threat has gone."

"What...What happened. Are you okay?" Jax watched her move closer to him.

"Yeah i'm good Darlin'. We just made a deal? So you and your Dad are safe."

"That's good but you don't look happy. What's wrong?"

"I'm leaving tonight for Tacoma."

"Oh..." He watched as Haley tucked her mass of curly blonde hair behind her ear as her eyes fell to her feet and that worried him. Maybe it was because he was about to visit his brother but he wondered if she still felt something for him.

Looking over his shoulder to check no one was watching, Jax grabbed her hand and dragged he to the alley behind the store.

"Jax...What are you doing..." She spoke with a giggle of excitement as she followed Jax.

When they were in the alley Jax quickly pulled Haley to him before gently pushing her back to the wall. He really did love her. Resting a hand on her cheek and puling her close he kissed her deeply. He felt her react to kiss which made him want her more. His other hand went under her shirt and he immediately he felt her pull his hand away.

"Jax somebody could see us."

"I don't care."

"Jax are you okay?"

"I just want to make sure your a 100% with this. Once I tell Sam there's going back."

And suddenly it all made sense to Haley. "Jax..." She placed her hand on his cheek. "Do you trust me?"

"Yeah."

"Then don't ask me again if I want this relationship. Yes I'm worried about Sam but I love you, I lost my virginity with you Jax, I am in this, but I can't keep trying to prove that to you."

"I know you're right." He dropped a kiss onto her forehead. "Sorry."

"It's okay. Now kiss me tell me you love and go to Tacoma, and then come back to me."

Jax and Opie pulled into lot. It was mid morning and they were both road weary so they were glad that Lee, President of the Tacoma charter, said that they could crash at the clubhouse. Jax knew that he really needed to see Sam but first he needed some shut eye. Grabbing their bags Opie followed Jax into the clubhouse.

However Jax only managed to take few steps into the bar before he hit the ground.
