Charming

Chrissie slowly opened her eyes but it took a moment for everything to come into focus but when it did she realised that she was in a hospital and suddenly everything came rushing back to her. The message, Sam, the argument, Sam, falling downstairs. Chrissie remembered everything and suddenly she started to panic as her thoughts went to her baby.

"Christina?" Chrissie turned her head in the direction of the voice and her eyes filled with tears.

"Mom..." Her mom rushed to her side taking her hand in hers. "My baby..."

"Your baby is fine sweetheart." The news should make her smile but the tears just kept coming, Her mother pulled her closer. "What happened Christina. What did he do to you?"

And with that question Chrissie pulled away from her mother. "Sam...Where's Sam?"

"Your farther sent him away. We know he did this to you."

"No Mom. I need to see him."

"What you need is to see a doctor" And with that her mother squeezed her hand and started to head for the door.

Chrissie lay back on her bed her hand instinctively went to her stomach, her baby, and she knew what she had to do.

"Mom wait. I need to see him!" And with the tone of her daughters voice she stopped and went back to her side.

Sam sat in the uncomfortable plastic chair in the hospital. He didn't care what Mr Carmichael had said or that he kicked him out because he was not leaving this hospital and he hadn't now for two days.

What did surprise Sam though was neither had his brother.

Even though they were both carrying the bruises from their last talk neither of them had brought Hayley up since, but all Sam could think about was that Jax had confessed that he loved her and that changed things. Sam honestly believed that Jax was just using Haley, getting her into bed for the fun of it, he never considered that he actually had feelings for her, and it in the back of his mind all he kept think was did she love Jax?

And with that thought Sam buried his face in hands. This was all to much, but that was when he heard her voice.

"My daughter is awake, she needs a Doctor now."

Sam jumped to his feet. And walked over to the desk where Mrs Carmichael stood. "She's awake? Can I see her?"

Mrs Carmichael turned to face him. "Sam."

"Please Mrs Carmichael, I'm her husband. I need to see her."

Emily Carmichael took a deep breath she had promised her husband that she wouldn't let Sam Teller anywhere near their daughter, but he wasn't here now. Even with his daughter in the hospital work still came first. But for Emily her daughter always came first.

Emily remembered how heartbroken her daughter had been when Sam dumped her, she supported her daughter. She remembered her daughter confessing to her that she was pregnant, Emily supported her daughter when it came to telling her father. She also supported her daughter when she told her about the marriage. Emily Carmichael always supported her daughter and she always would. Which meant that she supported her daughter now.

"Once the doctors have seen her you can see her."

"Thank you." Emily nodded before following the doctor down the hall.

Jax walked up behind his brother. "What did she say?"

"I can see her after the Doctors have checked her over."

"That's good."

"Yeah."

"I'll go get us a coffee."

"Thanks."

Jax walked down the hall to the coffee machine. As he mindlessly pressed the buttons he read the message again.

Hey, hope you got there safe. Please call me. H x

He hadn't responded yet. She had sent multiple messages and she had tried calling him twice this morning but again he never responded or answered.

He knew he needed to talk to her but he knew if he spoke to her he would have to tell about Sam and he wasn't ready to have that conversation, not over the phone. Plus he couldn't stop second guessing himself despite her words if she still had feelings for his brother.

"Hey..."

"Hi." Chrissie looked up to see Sam and suddenly her heart was racing. She was nervous but she knew she had to this. He didn't love her, and Chrissie couldn't try and fight for that anymore.

"Chrissie I'm so sorry..." As Sam moved towards her and reached out for her hand Chrissie pulled away.

"Don't touch me."

"Chrissie, what happened was an accident you know that..."

"I lied."

"Lied..." Sam confused. "Lied about what?"

"I thought it would make you love me but I see now nothing will." Chrissie wiped at eyes trying to stop the tears from falling. She needed to be strong.

"Chrissie..."

"I lied about this baby. You're not the father."

"What..." Sam stuttered as he tried to process what she had just said. She was lying. "Chrissie." He took a step closer to her. "Don't lie to me."

"I'm not this is truth. Finally." She placed her hand on her stomach. "This baby is not yours." She could see the disappointment and hurt in his eyes but she didn't stop. "What you think when you were fooling around with her that I didn't do the same with someone else."

And there it was, the anger. She watched it take over him but she was still taken off guard when he moved forward and grabbed her face.

"You're lying." He seethed there faces centimetres apart.

"I was lying to you before. This is the truth." Chrissie spat with just as much hate matching Sam's tone. "Now remove your hand, or I will call the police and tell them how you pushed me down the stairs."

Sam swallowed back his anger as he roughly released his hold on her. "You really are a fucking bitch."

"And you really are a bastard." She watched him pace the floor the anger radiating off him. But she wasn't done. " I want a divorce."

"That's a given." He walked towards her again but Chrissie raised her hand and grabbed her buzzer.

"If I press this button people will be in here in seconds. We're done Sam."

"We are more than done."

"Well at least now you can finally go home to your precious Haley."

Chrissie kept her composure until Sam stormed out slamming the door behind him. As soon as he was gone Chrissie broke unable to stop her tears from falling. Her hand went to her stomach. She felt her baby move and more tears came.

"I'm so sorry, forgive me." She whispered between her tears

Jax walked back towards the seat he had vacated but before he was able to reach the chair he collided with Sam causing the coffees he was was carrying to hit the floor.

"What the hell..." Jax shook his hands shaking off the spilled coffee.

"She lied." Jax could see tears in his brothers eyes and his concern grew.

"What are you talking about Sam?"

"The baby. She lied. It's not mine."

"Shit."

Gemma strolled down the isle grabbing the items that she needed, she only came to a stop however when she saw Daniel Parker. Clay had told her about his conversation with Jax before he left for Tacoma. She was surprised to hear that Daniel was okay with the ever budding relationship between Jax and Haley, but she wondered if he really was. Haley was his little girl and she had already seen how he had reacted when Sam left Haley for Tacoma. But Gemma understood he was protecting his family, just like Gemma always did and afteranother conversation with Clay this morning she knew that she needed to do that more than ever.

Pushing her cart down the isle she came up behind him. "Good to see you on your feet Daniel."

"Good to be back on them." Daniel responded turning to face Gemma. She offered him a smile but Daniel knew her well enough that Gemma was standing in front of him for another reason. Before Gemma could speak again they were joined by Haley.

"Dad I couldn't find...Oh...Hi Gemma."

"Hey sweetheart."

Haley had been keeping her distance from Gemma ever since their conversation in the clubhouse kitchen. Haley loved Gemma but she had felt uncomfortable with her words even though Jax had reassured her.

But it seemed like she wasn't the only one feeling awkward as the three of them feel into an uncomfortable silence. Taking a breath Haley knew she needed to break this.

"You look like you're about to cook up one of your famous feasts Gemma." Haley spoke as she eyed up Gemma's cart.

"I am. Actually if you two are free tomorrow evening you are more than welcome to join us."

"What's the celebration? " Daniel asked. He too had taken in the contents of her cart and this wasn't just a meal for her and Clay.

"My baby's coming home."

"Jax is coming back tomorrow?" Haley knew that there was surprise in her tone and the truth was she was surprised. Since he left for Tacoma her communication with Jax had been non-existent and she would be lying if that hadn't worried her a little bit but she trusted him. Well she did until Gemma's next words.

"Yes and so is Sam."

"Sam is visiting?" Haley asked

"No he's moving back to Charming."

"With Chrissie?"

"No. He finally saw that girl for what she was. A liar." Gemma looked curiously at Haley. It was the look in her eyes, the glazed over look and her questions. She didn't know and suddenly Gemma saw a crack in this new little relationship. "Didn't Jax tell you?"

"No... no he didn't."

"Kiddo I forgot the eggs can you grab me some."

"Um...yeah sure." Haley nodded and gave Gemma the smallest of smiles before leaving them both.

"Don't play your games with my daughter Gemma."

"No games Daniel." Gemma moved closer to him. "But my guess is that you want this relationship over as much as I do, and from what I just saw it's not looking good."

"Bye Gemma." Daniel started to walk away but stopped when Gemma spoke again.

"Invitation is still there. Tomorrow at 7."

"Bye Gemma."

Daniel walked away. He would be lying if he didn't agree with Gemma of course he wanted nothing more than the Teller boys out of his daughters life but he also didn't want to see her upset and that is exactly what she was right now.

"Haley?"

"Eggs." Haley responded grabbing the eggs and popping them in the basket. He could see the tears in her eyes

"Haley."

"Dad don't I just want to go home." Understanding his Daughters request he wrapped his arm around her and headed for the checkout.

"You al'right brother?" Jax glanced over his shoulder at Opie before going back to fastening his bag onto the back of his bike.

Truth was Jax didn't know how to feel. Since Chrissie's confession about the baby Sam was in a rage. Jax had followed him back to the house where he watched Sam as he headed straight upstairs and started packing. Sam only stopped when he came across the nursery and then Jax witnessed his brother let out his anger. He smashed the furniture but when he ran out of things to smash he slumped to floor and that was when the tears came.

As he comforted his brother that was when Sam said all he wanted was to go home and with home Jax knew he meant Charming. And if he had any doubt in that when they returned to the clubhouse Sam called Clay and two hours later there was a vote between the Tacoma and Charming charter and after that it was official Sam was the Samcro prospect once again.

And although he had voted 'Yay' Jax couldn't help but think about his relationship with Haley and how Sam being back may change things for her, for them.

"You don't need to worry." Jax looked back at Opie again. "I've seen the way she looks at you."

"Ope, don't."

"You give me advise about Donna all the time even when I don't want it." Jax couldn't disagree with that. "So I'm going to give you some. She loves you and you know that or you wouldn't have come here. Sam coming back changes nothing. Trust her man." And with those wise words and a clap on his shoulder Opie headed back into the clubhouse knowing his brother needed some space.

Jax ran a hand over his face. He knew Opie was right, he needed to trust her. Pulling out his cell Jax he dialled the familiar number.

"Hi." Jax almost didn't realise how much he had missed her.

"Hey. It's so good to hear your voice."

"Well I've always been at the other end of this phone." Jax instantly picked up on the change of tone she was pissed and her couldn't blame her.

"Sorry, I should have called."

"Yes you should have. Jax what is going on? "

Jax didn't answer straight away. How did he even explain everything that had happened since his arrival to Tacoma. But the only thing he needed was her. "Before I left you asked me if I trusted you"

"I did."

"I need to ask you the same question Hales. Do you trust me?"

"Of course I do. But do you remember what else I said that day? Jax I know Sam is coming home. I don't know what has happened up there but I still mean what I said. I'm in Jax."

"I love you."

"I love you too, now come home to me."
