Weiss Schnee stepped off of her ship, double-checking her hair and uniform.

The last thing I need is to give Father another reason to ridicule me.

Weiss scanned the port, and the usual bustle of dust shipments and business travel was familiar enough, and then she saw.
"Winter." Weiss muttered. Her relationship with her sister was….one-sided, as of late. There was love, yes. But…

"Weiss." Winter said evenly.
"It's good to see you, Winter. How have you been?"
Winter frowned down at her. "I heard you quit."

Here we go. "I didn't quit, I decided that Beacon wasn't right for me."
"Oh? I've heard differently." Winter snarks. "Either way, I suppose you never could make it out there on your own."

Ouch. That's harsh, even for you. Weiss simply straightened her posture, and took it, like she always did.
Winter continued, turning around, expecting Weiss to follow. "Father is expecting you, as is the General."

Weiss picked up her bag and reluctantly followed, her sense of agency buried deep down once again.

Back in Vale, out in the countryside, Amber hefted her bag onto her back, the early morning sun waking her up. She packed up her belongings and wandered north along an old, dusty trail.
Often, Amber found herself lost in thoughts, remembering her past. It seemed distant, nigh-unimportant.

"Hello?" A small, high-pitched voice called out.
Amber scanned her surroundings, a force within her extending her senses.
Just one girl. Amber mulled over her options. There was a town nearby, maybe she could go get help? No, she can't show her face, and what if they start asking questions?
Amber walked toward the source.

A small girl was there, her black hair messy, her blue eyes scared. She was silent, and dressed in overalls, her rabbit ears twitching.
Amber bent down, a few feet away. "Are you okay?"
The girl nodded slowly, looking up at her. As they made eye contact, Amber suddenly felt off.
No sound.

She barely had time to block a kick to her head, the metal thigh swinging around wide to try and twist her arm away.
An ambush! Amber scowled.

Catra returned to the dorm, and stepped into her and Ruby's shared room.
Hm, she must be out with Yang.

Catra closed the door behind her, and sniffed around, literally and figuratively.
"Ugh, everything smells like artificial strawberries." Catra muttered to herself, tail twitching with annoyance.
Ruby had her notes scattered around her bed, and spare parts in a small pile by her desk.

Catra hummed, and found herself organizing all of Ruby's stuff on her desk, in some sort of old habit.
Just like Adora. So scatterbrained, but kind. Finally, she allowed herself to remember her closest friend. Her long blonde hair, deep blue eyes...
I wish I could see you again.
Catra sat down on her bed, and wiped her cheeks, surprised to find them wet with tears.
"Guess I'm not as over you as I thought, huh, Adora?"
