Away

"Can you wriggle your fingers for me." The nurse watched the young girl do as she asked. "Does that feel okay?" The nurse again just watched as the girl just nodded her head. "Now most people manage to crack a smile after finally feeling freedom."

Haley looked up at the nurse. She was glad to finally be rid of her cast, it was itchy, but Haley found it hard to smile about anything at the moment.

Three weeks ago

She wiped her face wiping away any stray tears. "I um...I should go. Clay said 10 minutes and my Dad, he's..."

"Pissed." Haley just nodded. "Yeah kind of got that at the station."

"Sorry Jax." Haley started to sob again.

"Hey come on..." Jax pulled her back to him "Sssh...Look Hales..." Jax moved his hands so that he was cupping her face forcing her to look at him. "I did the crime, now I've got to do the time." He jested with his famous Teller smile.

"That's not funny Jax." Haley tried to move his hands from her face but he never let her.

"I ain't afraid of doing a little time babe." He smiled when he saw the slightest curve of a smile on her lips. He knew calling her babe would get a reaction, he remembered when he first called her babe at the hospital. He lent down and kissed her. A kiss she returned.

Jax moved his hands from her face slowly moving down her body until they came to rest on her hips. His lips moved to her jaw and then her neck. He heard her breath catch.

His Mom was right. He should stay away but he hadn't been this close to her for a week as the last times she was in his dorm she ran out crying because he had been stupid and let his own insecurities get the better of him.

"Jax.."

Ignoring her words Jax moved his hands underneath her shirt. Pulling her with him Jax walked backwards only stopping when his legs hit the back of the bed.

"Jax..." Haley spoke again as Jax broke the kiss. He never spoke instead he shrugged off his cut before pulling his Samcro t-shirt over his head. He stood there in silence just watching her, she was unsure he could tell. So he waited. He only had to wait a minute before Haley rested her hands on his chest leaning on her toes and placing a gentle kiss on his lips and when she deepened the kiss things started to move pretty fast.

But as quickly as it had started it ended as the door to his dorm swung open.

"Shit..."

Jax moved quickly to block Haley in a way to protect her modesty given that she was just in her bra and Jeans.

"Clay..."

"Get dres..." Clay was cut off by the commotion in the clubhouse.

"Oh my god that's my Dad." Haley voice was panicked and she quickly moved from behind Jax and scrambled on the floor picking up her discarded clothes off the floor only stopping when she heard her name.

"Dad I..."

Haley watched as her Dad's eyes moved between her and Jax. But when his eyes rested on Haley he looked so disappointed.

"Get dressed." He spoke quietly but the anger was clear. Haley quickly pulled on her blouse. When her Dad spoke again. "I told you all to stay away from my Daughter."

"She came to us." Clay snapped causing Daniel to move his attention from Haley and Jax back to Clay. He walked over to him.

"She's a child Clay and you let her come back here so your son could seduce her."

"Dad!" Daniel tuned back to Haley. "Don't do this..."

"We're leaving now." Daniel watched as Haley looked back at Jax and his anger flared. "Haley." Daniel stepping closer to his daughter. But when Daniel saw Jax move towards her he reached out for Haley and pulled her to him and started to exist the room. Although she wasn't fighting his hold or pull Daniel heard Jax move off the bed but he ignored it until he spoke.

"Hey easy..." Daniel moved Haley so that she was in front of him before he looked back at Jax.

"Stay away from her."

And with that Daniel and Haley were gone.

Jax went to follow but stopped when a hand hit his bear chest. "No." Clay snapped looking at Jax

Jax stared at Clay before pushing his hand away, again making a move to follow Haley but again he was blocked by Clay.

"You stay away from her. That's an order."

"This is nothing to do with the club." Jax spat.

"Yes it is. What's happening right now that's bringing this club heat. So as your president I am ordering you to stay away."

Two weeks ago

Jax sat at the bar nursing a bottle of Jack. Since being taken in for questioning and the night his brothers, mainly Juice had been working to find out who made the allegation. But it turned out they didn't need Juice because once Ally Lowen had shown up with a pile of photos of Jax and Haley including a few from last week where her Dad was dragging her our of the clubhouse, it was Sam who identified the person who was probably behind the allegation and it was none other than Elizabeth Martin. Out of all the photos Sam picked out just one a familiar one, it was thes same photo that she had sent to Chrissie, the same photo where Sam learnt the truth.

His brothers wanted to go after her put the pressure on make her retract her statement but when Jax looked at Ally he knew that there was no point. So he told his brothers to stop. They were reluctant but they knew that this was his choice.

"Hey brutha." Jax looked to his side as Opie taking a seat on the stool next to him. Opie motioned for a glass which he was quickly given by Emily. He nodded a thanks.

Opie like of his brothers were shocked. Many of the sons had crossed the line with age some knowingly some not but this was different. She was known as family around the club, Sam loved her and Jax loved her. And Haley loved them both. That's what made it all complicated and while all of them were fed up and concerned about the growing feud between the two brothers over her none of them wanted this. None of them wanted a brother inside. But for Opie he knew Jax and he knew that this was killing him, not the jail part, Jax would take the time even if it wasn't right but it was killing him the fact that Haley was gone.

Since the night that Daniel had pulled her from the clubhouse no one had seen her since. The hardware store had a for sale sign outside, and they had learnt that she had quit her jobs and there was no sign of her or her Dad at their house. It was like she just vanished.

"She'll be..."

"Don't." Jax warned before taking a drink. Opie was about to speak again when they were interrupted.

"Uh Jax..." Jax and Opie both turned round to see Juice nervously standing in front of them. "Harris just pulled up." Jax looked around at his brothers who were all looking back at him.

Jax turned back and downed another shot before getting to his feet. He removed his cut laying it on the bar. He knew what she was here for they all did.

"What's going on?" Jax turned to Clay who had appeared in the hall.

"Harris." Clay nodded. It was time.

One week ago

"Court date is set for Thursday."

Gemma watched as Jax just nodded, not even looking at her and it angered her. He was distant, he looked tired. At first she thought it was because they hadn't been able to secure protection inside but that happened 3 days ago and her eldest son looked worse than ever. And Gemma knew it was due to her.

"Jackson." Gemma reached out and grabbed his hand causing him to look at her finally. "You need to be strong. If your heads not in the game you know you're as good as dead in here." Again he said nothing and just nodded. "She's clearly moved on." Of course that comment finally got a reaction, his face actually showing an expression but again he still said nothing. "It's for the best she's gone away." He pulled her hand from beneath hers.

"Did you have anything to do with that?"

And finally there is was. "Is that what you think?" Gemma shook her head to the lack of response from him. "I left her alone, so did the club, she left this town, you, on her own just like Tara did. I know your hurting baby but you need to keep your mind focused while inside." She spoke sharply not liking seeing her son wallow in his own self pity. That's not what Tellers did.

"Yeah." She watched him nod to guard before getting to his feet an leaning in towards her dropping a kiss onto her cheek. "Love you Mom."

And with that he was taken away.

Four days ago

Jax sat at the table, another day another visit this time it was his brother. Jax watched as he approached Jax got to his feet embracing his younger brother in a hug.

"How you doing?" Sam asked looking around at the other inmates.

Jax nodded. "Not my first time."

Sam smiled, agreeing that it wasn't , he remembered Jax having a few over nighters inside and once even a stretch of a month but this potential sentence was different they were talking years and there was nothing anyone could about it. Although Sam had tried.

He had sought out Elizabeth Martin against his brothers and the clubs warnings. He had threatened her, actually wrapped his hands around her throat, bruises left and it had worked she had dropped her statement but it wasn't enough the case had gone to far.

"Jax...I...I know where she is."

Jax just shook his head. He was growing more and more pissed with everyone who kept mentioning Haley. Everyone seemed to think that she had bailed and had something to do with the proceedings moving forward. Like she had ratted but he disagreed with that. He knew that this wasn't her this was her Dad. He saw the anger in his eyes when he walked into his dorm and saw his half naked daughter. It was like a realisation moment for Daniel Parker.

"I'm going to go and see her..."

"Sam..."

"If I just speak to her..."

"And why would you do that?" Jax snapped.

"To help you." Jax shook his head his patience wearing thin.

Jax nodded for the guard. Jax stood as the guard approached. Before he took him away Jax looked down at his brother "She has nothing to do with this. Just leave her alone."

"Jax..."

"I love you Sammy. But your job now is the club. Focus on that."

One day ago

Haley looked down at her hand it was good to have cast off but thinking back to how she got it, how Jax had found her, how he was there at the hospital , their first kiss. How did they get here. She missed him so much.

Her Dad had taken her phone so she hadn't even been able to contact Jax. He did even let her say goodbye to him.

He was so angry but so was Haley which led to them currently not talking to one another. Her grandmother was trying but they were both standing their ground, but for Haley it felt weird not talking to her Dad.

Heading towards her car her mind elsewhere she felt herself bump into something solid. Automatically Haley apologised knowing that she wasn't paying attention but when she heard his voice she immediately looked up and took a step back.

"Sam. What...what are you doing here?"

"You need to come back to Charming." Haley shook her head and tried to walk around him but Sam stepped into her path. "He needs you."

"Is he okay?"

"He says he is but I know he's not. He needs to see you."

"But this is all my fault Sammy. He's in there because of me because I started this." Haley could feel herself getting upset so she moved around Sam again

"Hales..." Sam spoke grabbing her wrist.

"No Sam, I initiated it, the sex..." Haley watched as Sam took a step back from her. She knew those words would hurt him but he needed to know because this was her fault. "I'm sorry." Haley whispered before walking towards her car.

Sam hated hearing those words, especially as he still had feelings for her and it took a second to digest hearing it from her lips but she was wrong. This wasn't her fault.

"You remember at the streams." Sam watched Haley stop in her tracks but she didn't look back at him. "That day I asked you if you liked Jax?" She turned to look at him this time. "He always liked you Hales. We we're probably all denying it but when I...when I left you I did this. I pushed you two together. I did this."

Sam closed the gap between them once again.

"You've done nothing wrong. But you need to be there tomorrow to the trial. He needs to see you before..." Haley just nodded knowing what Sam meant. "Come home Hales."

And with that Haley nodded and moved forward hugging her best friend. A hug they hadn't shared in a long time.

Today

"Where is he?" Gemma snapped pacing the floor, the sound of her heel echoing throughout the court house.

"He'll be here." Clay said standing in front of his wife stopping her from pacing.

"He better." And just when she spoke they were called into the court room causing her to raise her brow at Clay.

"Gem." She just shook her head before turning to grab her bag of the chair. Clay looked back at his brothers. Opie, Bobby and Chibs had all come to show support and Clay had to admit he too was pissed that Sam wasn't there. But as he nodded for his brothers to follow his wife into the room Clay saw Sam running towards him but he wasn't alone.

"Shit." He looked back at Booby, Opie and Chibs, nodding for them to continue inside.

"You shouldn't be here darling." Clay spoke as Sam and Haley came to a stop in front of him. Clay was still a little pissed at her from the commotion that she caused at the clubhouse.

"Yes she should Clay. Jax needs to see her, today of all days." Haley could see the doubt in Clay's eyes. But Haley hadn't sneaked out from her grandmothers house to come all the way back to Charming for nothing.

"Clay, please. I just want to see him."

"Fine." Clay knew it probably wasn't a good idea but he there was something about the way that she looked at him. He felt sorry for the kid.

Jax sat beside Lowen. The proceedings were starting but Jax never heard any of it he just sat there waiting. Waiting for the time.

He knew that he was going to be sentenced but he just wanted to know how long. And it wasn't long until he got his answer.

Words were thrown out the registered with him. Witness statement, photo evidence of a kiss. Also the fact that himself and Haley had taken the 5th hadn't helped by the looks of it. But the biggest shock and what everyone attention was when the statement was read from Daniel Parker.

Halfway through the dictation of the statement he heard her voice. Looking over his shoulder he saw Haley. She looked shocked, tears in her and they both knew what this meant. Jax didn't stop looking at her until the woman stopped speaking and the Judge started to speak.

"Jackson Teller for your crime of Statutory Rape I sentence you to three years."
