Disclaimer: I do not own anything. Shouldn't be a surprise.

It was a promise. She had been foolish enough to believe it would never be broken. In her defense she cries that it was his promise. He was not one to break promises. Never. He always kept his word. Always.

At night she struggles between wanting to cry because he isn't there, and laugh at her own foolishness. She should have been ready. She shouldn't have believed him infallible. She should have known. She should have been ready.

He told her he would see her again. He promised her, sworn in the name of shoelaces that he would return, meet her there, on a secluded little platform they had discovered. She knew he meant it. She knew he would return. Then the idiot got himself killed. She knew she should have been ready. She was a ninja! Ninjas were always ready.

Yet she remembered the days when they explored a land still ravaged by war. They had been two children in heart, though their minds had long surpassed their actual age. Too much war and pain had aged them considerably but they were still kids at heart. For few short hours at a time they would escape, head for their sanctuary, where water defied gravity. They had found the small platform, and proclaimed it theirs. No one else knew about it. No one else would. That was how it always would be.

She went every night waiting for him to come back. She continued going long after the news was brought that he was dead. At first she had refused to believe and had vehemently denied the truth. He could not be dead because then he would be gone forever and never come back. He would not break his promise. She knew he wouldn't. Yet he did and she knew it even as she fought this truth that was neither fair nor right. He was gone. He was dead. She would never see him again.

No matter what she knew though she continued going back. She returned looking a bit more broken, a tiny bit more lost every night. Her friends were there, Leon, and Aerith, and Cloud, worried. They had been friends of his too, fought with him. They knew what she had lost. They were scared, scared for her. They ask her how long she would continue doing this to herself. She whispers always. She still goes back every night. Waiting. Always.

She loves him, and she would not deny it. A young girl in love with a young boy already a legend. He was the Keyblade Wielder, loved and honored. She was just a simple ninja. She always would be. Just one young girl and one young boy who would remain forever young. He was gone, dead, at the pinnacle of his youth. She would never know if he loved her. She knows she does, and for a little while that's good enough. She'll always love him, just like she will always wait. She has to, as it is her fate. Waiting, always waiting.

So yes a sad Yura.

I can't believe I killed Sora.

I hoped you liked this anyway... I wanted to add more but I found I just couldn't add anymore.

Oh well.
