Elena's PoV
After I hung up the phone, I got ready for bed thinking about when I met the Mikaelson family.

~990~
I walked through the village. I was worried that I would never meet anyone like the friends I had back in Europe. I was so wrapped up on my head I never noticed someone walking towards me until we were both on the ground.
"I am so sorry" I said helping the girl up before getting myself up.
"The fault is mine as I was not watching" the girl said.
"Well then I guess we are both at fault because neither was I" I said.
"I'm Rebekah" the girl said.
"Elena" I said introducing myself.
"Nice to meet you Elena, but I must get going" Rebekah said.
"I should to it is getting dark" I agreed as we walked in separate directions. I spent the next few days thinking about the encounter with Rebekah and how maybe found a friend.
"Elena quit dreaming we need to get to the caves sometime today" I heard my sister say.
"I am ready just waiting on you Tatia" I said.
"Well then let's go mother and father are ready to go" Tatia said grabbing her bag. I grabbed mine and followed my sister out the door.

"Tatia when will your husband return?" I asked.

"He said after the full moon it's too dangerous right now" Tatia said.

"Are you going to tell him about the baby when he gets home?" I asked.

"I'll have too, but not right away it's not like I can hide her for long." Tatia said as we arrived at the cave entrance. I smiled and walked away to find our parents. I was walking through the tunnels heading for the cavern where we would wait out the night safe from the wolves.

"Elena" I heard someone call about halfway through the tunnel. I looked up and saw Rebekah.

"Hello Rebekah" I said greeting her.

"I wanted to apologize for walking through you the other day and leaving so quickly" Rebekah said.

"It's alright, I was just as much at fault as you were" I said honestly. Just then three boys walked up behind us.

"Bex who is this?" the oldest boy asked.

"This is Elena, the girl I ran into the other day" Rebekah said.

"The girl you knocked over?" the youngest boy asked?

"Yes that one Kol" Rebekah said looking directly at the boy.

"Have you apologized for that?" the last boy asked.

"Yes I have Nik" Rebekah replied.

"How rude of us completely ignoring Rebekah's new friend here" Kol said.

"Please forgive us for that Miss Elena" the oldest boy said.

"No worries, I'm used to it" I said.

Anyway Elena these are my older brothers Elijah, Niklaus, and Kol" Rebekah said introducing me to her brothers.

" I'm Elena Petrova" I said smiling.

"It's nice to meet you Miss Elena" Kol said.

"It was nice to meet you all as well, but I should get going and find my family they are probably getting worried" I said as I turned to walk in the direction I was originally heading. A few minutes later I found my parents and sister setting their things in a pile.

"Where have you been Elena we were going to send Tatia after you" Mother said.

"I ran into the girl I knocked over in the village the other day" I said.

"I hope you apologized for that" Father said.

"Just as I did when it happened" I said.

"That's a good girl" Father said.

"Who is the girl?" Mother asked.

"Her name is Rebekah" I said.

"Does she have any brothers?" Tatia asked sounding curious.

"Older ones named Elijah, Niklaus, and Kol as far as I know" I said.

"Oh the Mikaelson children, your father goes hunting with their father" Mother said.

"How many children are there?" I asked curious.

"Six Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Kol, Rebekah, and Henrik" Father said joining the conversation. As the night passed the wards were put in place for protection and I heard the wolves running above us. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep.

"Elena time to wake dear" I heard my mother say.

"It's morning already?" I asked.

"Yes we need to be home the men will be back from the hunt soon" Mom said. I rose quickly excited for the hunt to return.

"Where is Tatia?" I asked looking for my sister.

"She is at home preparing for the return of her husband" Mom said as we headed towards the entrance of the caves.

"Where is Margret" I asked.

"At home with your father" Mother said. Within minutes I saw the house and I ran inside wanting to see my niece. Just then I felt someone shaking me and calling my name. I woke up and saw Jeremy standing in front of me.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Six forty five in the morning" Jeremy said.

"I should run home and get ready for school" I said.

"Might be a good idea Kol called me four times" Jeremy said.

"He's just over protective and worries about me" I said.

"Just as long as he treats you well" Jeremy said.

"He does, father couldn't have chosen a better man for me to marry than Kol" I said.

"That's good" Jeremy said.

"I should go before he shows up here" I said.

"Alright see you at school" Jeremy said as we walked out of my room.

"See you then" I said descending the stairs to leave.

"Elena come home more often, it gets lonely around here" Jeremy said as I was about to step out the door.

"I will, I promise" I said as I closed the door and ran with vampire speed back home to my impatient husband.

"There you are Kol is going insane" Rebekah said as I walked through the door.

"He knew where I was" I said.

"I think it has more to do with losing you again than not knowing where you were" Rebekah said.

"I never thought of that, I just needed to spend time with my brother as well" I said.

"Don't tell me go talk to your husband" Rebekah said and walked away. I ran upstairs to my room before anything dangerous could happen.

"I'm home" I said walking through the door.

"Good thing I don't know how much longer I could keep him down before he ran after you" Elijah said surprising me.

"Thank you Elijah for that I will handle him now" I said as Elijah undid the bindings and left.

"Kol wake up" I said gently shaking him. After five minutes of him not responding I decided to do this the hard way.

"Kol Mikaelson wake up right this second or I will walk out the door and you will never see me again" I said and he woke up instantly.

"Darling was that really necessary?" Kol asked as he sat up in the bed.

"When you won't wake up yes it is" I said sitting down next to him as he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me close.

"How was your brother?" Kol asked.

"He was good, wanted to know about my first human life" I said.

"Does it bother you to talk about?" Kol asked concerned.

"No it feels good to talk about, helps me to remember when life wasn't so easy and we still survived" I said. I stood up and got ready for school before this conversation could continue. I knew that it didn't bother me to talk about with Jeremy but with Kol it just reminded me of all the time we missed together and that was the part that hurt more than anything else possibly could.

A/N: I am SO VERY sorry about the delay in publishing this chapter. I have had a very bad moth first a horrible case of writers block for this story and then having to deal with bronchitis that had me feeling like I had a white oak stake in my chest and hardly able to breathe or sit up long enough to try and write this. Thanks for being patient with me.
