"Aunt Lily!"
Lily Potter turned at the noise, just in time to catch the energetic teenager that was running to embrace her. "Hello Ari"
"Not even I get that kind of greeting" pouted the other newly arrived, Potter-manor-regular Sirius Black.
"I couldn't greet you like that at the platform, daddy," answered cheekily Ariadne Black "Could you imagine the embarrassment?"
Both women laughed at the betrayed expression of Ariadne's dad, whose pout was not nearly as dignified as he thought it was. The redhead returned her attention to her niece in all but blood. "How was the first term Ari?"
The teen (no, the young woman, Lily corrected herself) frowned as she sat in her usual seat. "Awful. Everyone is freaking out about the NEWTs, and we can't catch a break. I'm glad I'm only taking five. I don't know how Hermione did it with nine."
Harry's best friend and her intelligence was a usual topic of conversation for the Potter-Blacks, so neither adult looked surprised. "Even Harry took six! Now I get why he was so stressed-out last year"
That had been a surprise for everyone. Even with Tutshill and Ballycastle showing interest, Harry had still taken his NEWTs completely seriously, to the everlasting pride of his parents. Mainly Lily's
"Speaking of Harry" interjected Lily. "He should be arriving soon. Practice usually finish around 2 on Fridays"
As if summoned, the floo roared as the younger Potter entered the kitchen, impeccably dressed in his usual jeans and jacket. His reception was expected. "Hello pup!"
"Pads! Aria!" The young man greeted their guests with enthusiasm, embracing each in turn. Lily saw the brief linger of Ariadne's hand in Harry's arm and smirked.
"Are you going to cook, or should I ask Mipsy Harry?" asked his mother.
"I can cook, don't worry."
The woman nodded. "James is in his study Padfoot. He said something about this new Mexican beverage he discovered for you"
Sirius was out of the room before Lily could finish, leaving the remaining three to chuckle. "Want to help?" asked Harry to Ariadne.
"Sure"
Lily managed to not chuckle in their presence as she quickly made herself scarce. She so was winning that bet.
As soon as the two young adults were alone, they crashed into each other. Harry's hands went quickly to Aria´s hips, as she grabbed him by the hair so she could kiss him properly. After a couple sweet pecks, the two embraced each other.
"I missed you"
Ariadne smiled. "Well, not all can be graduated Quidditch superstars, can we?"
The raven-haired man smiled. "I think they are starting me in the game against Chudley in February."
His girlfriend gasped. "Love, that's amazing! I wish I could be there to see you" The last part came out as a whine, as she buried her head into his chest.
"I know", but as soon as you graduate you can come to next season's games!"
"You will probably play more next season," the woman smiled softly.
Close and calm, both resumed their original activity, passion and heat building up as the snogging session went from a couple seconds to a solid ten minutes, only interrupted as the kitchen's door banged open, making both jump apart to see their respective parents gapping in the entrance.
"I-I"
"We-"
Their stammered excuses went nowhere as James buried his face in his hands, while Sirius smashed his head against the door frame, probably not as soft as planned. "Lily is never going to let us live this down, isn't she? groaned James, Sirius nod only managing to turn their blushing offspring into the colour of the stunning spell. "We have a bet to pay, don't we Prongs?"
"Yes, you do!" Lily's voice could be heard muffled, making the elders groan and the younger turn even redder.
"I have to start cooking" exclaimed Harry with false enthusiasm
"I will help you!" yelped Ariadne rushing to the cutting board.
James and Sirius decided to not tease the young couple. Not yet at least. After all, Wormy and Moony were coming for dinner in a couple hours.
AN1: My take on the sub-sub-genre of Harry dating Sirius' daughter. A bit of pure fluff. I may put a second part sometime in the future.
AN2: Voldemort? What is a Voldemort? Is that Italian?
AN3: Ariadne is the name of Sirius daughter in Ariadne Black and the Thread of Life (/13682859). I didn't take anything from that story other than the name, because it sounds really cool. Nevertheless, you should check it out, it's nice.
