Sasuke Uchiha was the most sought out guy in Shinobi High. He was a playboy, through and through. Whatever he wanted he got it. He was seen with a different girl practically every week. Hell, he could have any girl he wanted, whether she was taken or not, earning him the nickname Mr. Steal-Your-Girl.

Quite the charmer, some would say. Others would say woman snatcher. Both were equally correct.

He was never seen alone, either with his group of friends or with a girl. He was handsome, popular, and smart. He was number one in his class, scoring nearly perfect on all his quizzes. Not to mention he excelled at every sport there was to offer. And to top off his devilish good looks, his popularity, and his brains, he also came from a wealthy family.

It was really unfair.

This particular school day was no different, he strolled through the hallways as if he owned the building itself. Tossing a wink here and there to some of the females that watched him. Their giggles filled the hallway.

He did, however, notice people whispering. Not this was new to him, people talked about him all the time, except they throwing weird looks his way.

"Sasuke!" Naruto Uzumaki, also from a wealthy family, good looks, but not as smart as the Uchiha nor was any any good at sports, aside from basketball. The blonde waved him over to the bulletin board where a crowd of students had huddled around.

This wasn't uncommon, it was where the test scores were posted after all.

"What is it?" Sasuke approached his childhood friend.

"Looks like you've got some competition," Naruto pointed at the top of the list.

Number 2: Sasuke Uchiha, 99%

Sasuke glared at the cursed number, "What loser managed to beat my score?" His eyes traveled to the top of the list.

Number 1: Kagome Higurashi. 103%

"How in the hell?" He briefly wondered how someone had managed to score a 103, but the answered dawned on him. At the very end of the test was a bonus question worth extra points, however the question was practically impossible the answer and Sasuke decided they were not worth his time.

"Who is this Higurashi?" Sasuke asked.

"No idea!" Naruto laughed and slapped Sasuke on the back. "Looks like someone finally managed to beat you!"

"Tsk," It irked Sasuke that he didn't know who this woman was. Surely she was some loser from a lower class family. That's why he had never heard of her before. She probably spent most of her time studying in the library and at home. No friends or social life.

Lunch time rolled around and, as always, he was surrounded by his group of friends. Sasuke didn't pay much attention to whatever they were talking about, he tapped his finger against the table.

"Hey, Hinata," Naruto had his arm wrapped around a pretty blue haired girl. Hinata Hyuga, she was the friendliest of the bunch. Sasuke often wondered why she even had a thing for Naruto in the first place.

Of course he had dated her for about a week before moving on to his next conquest.

"Do you know a Kagome Higurashi?" This peeked Sasuke's interest as he turned to lock eyes on Hinata's form.

She squirmed under Sasuke's intense gaze, "W-Well, yeah..." she mumbled.

"Who is she?" It was Sasuke who asked this time.

"She's the new transfer student. She transferred about two weeks ago and she's in a few of my classes. It doesn't seem like she's made any friends yet, but I talk to her when we have class together."

"Oh?"

Hinata nodded, "She's friendly enough. B-But she spends a lot of time reading in the library."

The image Sasuke had of this Kagome woman was of a nerdy type. Big thick, round glasses, a nose stuck in a book, an acne covered face, hair messy and unkempt. He almost didn't want to meet this girl, but his pride wouldn't allow him to back out. He was determined to see what kind of person she was.

So, after the final bell rang, he sent a quick text to Hinata asking her to introduce him to Kagome. She was reluctant at first, but knew he'd get his way. So they met up, him, Hinata, and Naruto. Hinata led them to the library, and opened the doors. She scanned the room, before her eyes fell on the raven haired woman sitting alone, book in hand, and scattered notes.

"There," She whispered.

Sasuke followed the direction she was pointing in. The image he had of Kagome was not at all like he had thought. Instead, a beautiful raven haired beauty sat alone, taking notes out of her text book.

"Damn," Naruto whistled, "She's actually hot!"

Hinata elbowed him rather harshly in the gut, "B-but not as hot as you," he groaned as he doubled over, trying to catch his breath.

Sasuke rolled his eyes. He turned his attention back to the beautiful woman. As if sensing his gaze, she looked up and met his eyes. He was startled at the intense blue color.

Oh yes, he would make her his. Time to work his magic.

Sasuke smoothed out his clothes, and adjusted his coat before sliding up to her.

"Hi," he gave his most charming grin.

"No."

His grin fell.

"No?"

"Yeah, No."

"I haven't even said anything yet!"

"I'm pretty sure you said hi, did you not?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"But nothing," Kagome closed her text book and gathered he belongings.

"Where are you going?"

"I didn't realize you were my mother. I'm going home, if you must know."

He leaned across the table, his charming grin finding its way back onto his handsome face. "Or you could come hang out with me instead, Sasuke Uchiha, by the way," he gave her a flirtatious wink.

"Not interested," she shoved her notebooks and textbooks into her school bag. "And I already know who you are."

"Not interested?"

"Yeah, are you as deaf as you are stupid?" She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Stup- You're awfully rude for a new chick."

"Listen here, buddy," Kagome jammed her finger in his chest, "I am not interested in being your friend or your play thing, Uchiha. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have homework to do!"

For once in his life, Sasuke was speechless. No girl had ever turned him down.

Kagome brushed past Sasuke, leaving him there to sulk. She nodded to Hinata before officially leaving the building and heading home. Naruto stood off to the side, a hand slapped over his mouth trying to contain his laughter.

Never had he seen someone reject Sasuke as harshly as she had. Hell, he'd never seen anyone reject Sasuke at all before.

The complete and utter look of shock mixed with disbelief on Sasuke's face was enough for Naruto. He doubled over, tears streaming down his face as he laughed. Sasuke ignored Naruto's laughter and the whispers coming from the other students that had witnessed his embarrassing rejection.

"Come on, buddy," after collecting himself, Naruto guided the shell-shocked Uchiha out of the library.
