Hello again! I was surprised by the reception I was getting for this story, so I thank you all for reading this. For this chapter, things are gonna be slow and will have more focus on some character interaction, so that means this will be more dialogue heavy with less action.

With that said, I hope you like this chapter!

"Welcome to the H.E.L.M!" MC greeted as the girls looked around their surroundings.

"H.E.L.M?" Monika asked, focusing her attention on MC while the others had theirs elsewhere.

"Yeah, it's uh..." MC scratched the back of his head until his drone appeared out of thin air and floated in front of the coral brown haired girl.

"It stands for Hub for Emergency Logistics and Maneuvers! It was recently opened to Guardians when the Cabal Empress Caiatl attempted to make Commander Zavala agree to her terms of-"

MC faked a cough to interrupt the drone. "Eh, Cursor I think you should stop now. These girls are practically old relics and you're just telling them things that they probably don't understand."

"Ah sorry, I kinda forgot about that part."

The comment MC made about the girls didn't go unnoticed by Natsuki, which annoyed her. "Relics!? I'll have you know I'm 18 damn it!"

"18? I would have assumed younger but-"

"Just because I'm small doesn't mean I'm young!" The pinkette pouted.

MC looked over to the others, who gave an awkward smile in return. Cursor would then speak up, trying to lighten up the mood.

"You know MC, you can't speak for yourself when you're practically 3 years old." Despite being a machine, there was a very smug aura behind the comment, which got to the armored man.

"You're going in the backpack now..."

"Ugh fine, call me when you need me." Cursor would disappear, chuckling to himself.

The girls on the other hand were confused, unsure how to comprehend the strange claim the machine had made, Sayori quickly spoke up.

"You can't be 3 years old, you still look like your our age!" It seemed like her sad mood was finally fading away for a bit, now she was just filled with confusion and curiosity. "And also what's with that glowing purple ball over there?!" MC facepalmed realizing his predicament, he started to wish he opened a portal to somewhere a little more calm to prevent anymore questions.

"That thing kinda reminds me of your Markov book Yuri, with that creepy little eye thing going on." Natsuki added.

"This does seem like something that could appear in that novel's world..." Yuri replied.

MC groaned, trying to get everyone's attention. "Just hold off on your questions for now please. Let's just find a place that's calm before some-"

A female voice can be heard from the nearby stairway. "You know, if you wanted save time, you could have transmatted whoever you're talking to out of here along with yourself already."

"...and of course someone had to be here."

Footsteps could be heard and soon enough a new figure appeared, clad in heavier plate armor which gave her a much bulkier appearance compared MC. What stood out was her leg armor, as they appeared to have thrusters of sorts on them.

"Just when I thought MC's look was futuristic, this lady comes in looking like one of those super soldiers I'd see in a movie." Monika thought to herself.

"She looks so cool!" Sayori chimed in, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Oh hey Valda... What are you doing here?" MC hesitantly asked.

The one now known as Valda just gave a blank stare at him. Monika picked up that what MC asked was basically a dumb question despite the woman's helmet only featuring a single horizontal slit around where the eyes would be.

"Umbral Engram opening. You know, one of the main reasons for coming here?" She crossed her arms. "Anyways, what are you doing here? You barely do Vanguard operations and you're not the most social person to give some civvies some tours."

"Civvies?" Yuri asked.

"Faster way to say civilians, also rolls off the tongue easier. Oh and the name's Valda, a Titan that follows the Code of the Missile." The armored woman replied. She then looked over to the rest of the girls, inspecting them. "Say... Their outfits are quite strange don't you think?"

MC sweatdropped under his helmet. "Yeah about that..."

She cupped the chin of her helmet. "I can tell they're uniforms, but I don't recognize them from any place around the city."

"Alright, this might seem unbelievable, but these girls are from the Pre-Golden Age era."

"Excuse me?" She redirected her attention towards MC.

"Yeah, you have to believe me! I was doing an Expunge and suddenly I was sent to this weird simulation where these girls were apparently trapped in!"

Monika would step away from the girls for a bit to have some thoughts to herself."Simulation? Does that mean the game was really some sort of cover up for something else? Were those cycles of torment just a test for some sick individual? Did the so-called player she wanted to meet actually care for them?" She shook her head, there was too many questions and no answers yet. She would make her way back to the girls, Yuri and Natsuki were still focused on MC and Valda while Sayori was... staring at her? Normally she wouldn't mind, but the look on Sayori's face made her a bit uncomfortable. "Sayori? Is something wrong?"

"A-Ah it's nothing, I was just zoning out ehehe..." She did her trademark finger pointing pose and looked away, trying to appear bashful.

"Ah, okay then..." Not wanting to press her on, Monika looked over to the pair talking.

"...and that's how I'm in this situation now!" MC exclaimed.

"Alright I believe you." Valda said nonchalantly.

"Wait really? That easily?!" MC was taken back from the response.

Valda nodded. "Considering how much has happened throughout the years, this can't be excluded from the realm of possibility. Plus you can kind of compare this to when Saint-14 suddenly came back alive and well thanks to that whole Sundial business."

"That's true... but how do I explain this to the Vanguard? Ikora and Zavala are gonna chew me out for doing something this crazy..." MC slumped over.

"Hey I know you two are having a nice conversation and all, but can we like move somewhere else? That purple eye thing is really creeping me out." Natsuki requested, feeling uneasy about the giant metal eye glancing in all sorts of directions.

Valda was amused by her comment. "Haha, seriously? This Servitor belongs to the House of Light, it won't hurt you!"

Natsuki placed her hands on her hips. "There you guys go again, saying all these words and strange things! It's like talking to Yuri for the first time, no offense though."

"None taken, but I do agree that we are unfamiliar with some of the terms you have been using." Yuri said.

"Yeah! And I want to know what's the deal with MC, he looks and acts like himself but then has no memories of us!" Sayori added.

MC and Valda paused and stared at eachother before looking at the girls. MC spoke first. "Sorry about that, you girls are still very confused and we'll explain soon enough, it's just a matter of finding the right place without any more distractions."

"Luckily I have a place we can go to, gather around everyone!" Valda held out her arms as if she were waiting for someone to grab either of her hands, MC would stare for a bit before shrugging and grabbing her hand and then extending his free hand.

"Are we playing Kagome Kagome?" Sayori asked with an innocent tone.

Natsuki shook her head. "Ugh leave me out of this, I can't stand creepy stuff..."

"I'm pretty sure they don't want us to play something that childish. There is probably an important reason why they want us to h-hold hands." Yuri answered.

"That's correct, glad you picked up on that." Valda said, sounding somewhat impressed.

"Ehehe, well that's the smartest member of the literature club for you!" Sayori added.

Yuri blushed. "D-Don't say that sort of thing..."

Valda chuckled. "Have more confidence in yourself, anyways everyone hold hands, it'll be easier on the transmatting process."

"Transmatting process?" Monika asked as she proceeded to grab MC's hand while Sayori slowly grabbed hers.

"Think of it like teleporting." MC answered as the group now formed a circle. "Alright, now everyone hold on tight!"

Soon the group lit up and disappeared from the room they were in and reappeared into a brand new location. The girls would look around to see that they were in what looked like a living room from the future, glowing lights and sliding doors typical of a sci-fi movie. A large couch with a decently sized table lay across a tv hung on a wall, there were extra chairs on the sides of the table, which meant that everyone here could take a seat. The girls would be preoccupied with the place, seeing what new futuristic trinkets exist and if certain aesthetics still survived in this future.

MC looked around and whistled. "Never knew you got a new house, it's very... blue."

Valda shook her head and raised her hands. "Oh no this isn't my house, it belongs to a friend of mines!"

"Huh!? Is this okay? I kind of feel like this would be an invasion of privacy to show up here uninvited..." He looked over at some of the decorations, that being some plaques and little statues.

She waved him off. "Oh it's fine, he doesn't show up often. Besides he's a Hunter."

He gave a shrug."I guess that makes sense then, also explains that." He gestures over what looked to be a collection of knives, something that immediately caught Yuri's attention.

Valda would pat him on the back, nearly making him fall over. "Well I have to get going, promised some friends to do some strikes with them after my trip to the H.E.L.M, so I trust you and Cursor can help these girls be up to date with the times. Oh and try not to do anything with these girls~" She would transmat out, now leaving MC alone with the girls, well not fully alone.

"What gave her THAT idea..." He whispered to himself.

Taking a deep breath, he mentally prepared his mind in order to finally start answering questions these girls could have. He would knock on the table, getting everyone's attention. "Alright everyone, take a seat on the couch, this will be a long explanation."

"Hehe, I think he might steal your catchphrase!" Natsuki whispered to Monika in a teasing tone.

"Do you have any snacks? If this going to be a long story, I want to make sure I don't go hungry!" Sayori asked as she took a seat on the couch, the others soon following.

"Uh maybe later, I think we need to get introductions out of the way first."

"But MC, Monika and I know you already!" Sayori pouted.

He shook his head. "Again you bring that up. How about this, just pretend that I got into some accident and I have amnesia alright?"

Sayori raised her brow. "If you say so then... Well I'm Sayori, your CHILDHOOD FRIEND!" She then pointed over to the pinkette and purple haired girl. "Those two are Natsuki and Yuri." She would look over to Monika, but freeze up.

Monika, realizing that this may raise suspicion, quickly introduced herself. "And I'm Monika! Your classmate from last year and the ...president of the literature club." Just saying the word president made her feel uneasy thanks to the curse it brought to anyone who were to take the role in the game.

MC nodded as he took off his helmet, letting the girls see his face once more before setting it down on the table. "Well, my name's MC, and I guess that really is my true name." He held out his left hand, causing Cursor the drone to appear floating above it. "And this little guy right here is called Cursor, he's a Ghost. My Ghost."

Sayori's eyes widened. "Ghost? But you're still alive!"

MC shook his head. "No no, not that type of ghost. He's something different. Someone to be more specific."

"You betcha! I've been his partner ever since he became a Guardian!" Cursor proudly exclaimed. The girls looked at the floating drone, waiting for an explanation. "Oh right, I probably should start explaining huh?"

MC nodded. "You go do your thing, this history stuff isn't quite my cup of tea."

Cursor rolled his single eye and cleared his... throat? "Alright, let's start off from the beginning. It all started with the being known as the Traveler..."

Wew, looks like the girls will finally get to learn about the world of Destiny! To make things easier for me, I'll most likely split characters and their interactions in different chapters in the future so that it feels less bloated with character than it already is. Also I should mention that this takes place during the Season of the Splicer in case anyone was curious or didn't know.

Again I thank you for reading and hope that you leave reviews telling me what you like, dislike and what I could improve!
