20: magic tingz.

Lucy's eyes slowly fluttered open. Warm...why do I feel so warm...?

When her vision adjusted, she realized she was in Natsu's arms. Oh...it's just Natsu. She went back to sleep.

A minute later, her eyes flew open and she kicked Natsu out of the bed and he fell onto the floor.

Natsu, who was rudely awaken, stood up and engulfed his fists into flames. "What!? An intruder!?" He frantically looked around the place. When he saw Lucy glaring at him, the flames went out.

"Why were you in my bed with me?" Lucy asked.

"You were cold so I was warming you up," Natsu said awkwardly.

Lucy narrowed her eyes. "Really? That's your excuse?"

Natsu put his hands up. " But I'm being serious! You were shivering and I thought, 'hey! I'm naturally warm!' So I helped you!"

"There are so many other ways you could have warmed me up! Like, turn off the air conditioner and put on the heater!" Lucy cried.

Natsu stared at her as if she had just spoken an alien language. "Huh?"

She sighed and sat up. "Ugg, never mind."

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.

"Go see who it is," Lucy told Natsu before noticing he was shirtless. "And put on a shirt." She buried her face into the covers in order to stop herself from admiring Natsu's built body.

Natsu, clueless as ever, left the room and made his way to the front door. When he opened the door, he was introduced to Erza, Mirajane, Levy, Lisanna, Cana, and Juvia. The girls had a few bags in their hands.

"Natsu! I was just telling the girls about you!" Mirajane cried with a smile on her face.

Natsu backed away from her. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Cana looked at him up and down. "Okay, Lucy! She made a good choice!"

"Don't be perverted!" Lisanna hissed at Cana.

"I'm actually entering my beloved Gray's house!" Juvia cried.

"You've been in here for your stalking, remember?" Levy reminded her.

"You've been taking care of Lucy, right?" Erza asked Natsu who nodded.

The girls barged into the penthouse all at once and went different ways.

Juvia dashed up the stairs to Gray's room. Lisanna followed her.

Mirajane and Erza went to the kitchen, most likely to prepare breakfast.

Cana and Levy went to Natsu's room where Lucy was staying.

In Gray's room, Juvia buried her nose into Gray's pillow. "It smells just like him!"

"I didn't expect Gray to be a messy person, though. Everywhere is scattered," Lisanna said as she looked around.

Juvia laid back in Gray's bed. "It doesn't matter whether he's messy or not. He's my dearly beloved! I wonder if he kept the letters I wrote to him." She got off the bed and started to search through Gray's drawers, not knowing that Natsu had taken the letters to his room.

Down in the kitchen, Mirajane and Erza were looking around to see what Gray and Natsu had before they cooked.

"We should make eggs, what do you think?" Mirajane suggested, grabbing a pack of eggs out of the fridge.

"That's too basic. Too simple. We should make a whole feast!" Erza cried.

"A whole feast? Don't you think that's going too overboard?" Mirajane asked.

"But breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" Erza cried.

Mirajane nodded. "Well, can't argue with that! Let's get started!"

Up in Natsu's room, Cana and Levy had bags of Lucy's stuff.

"We made sure we got everything on your list and more!" Cana cried.

"Awwww! Thank you so much!" Lucy cried, grabbing on of the bags.

Levy sighed as she made her way to the window. "Unfortunately, the situation outside hasn't gone down. We had to wake up at 3 in the morning and have one of us leave an hour at a time so the paparazzi doesn't follow us all at once."

"It took too damn long! Fuck the paparazzi! Why they wanna know so much about your life anyway!?" Cana slurred.

"As you can tell, Cana did some drinking between when we woke up to now," Levy said.

Lucy laughed. "Still. Thank you so much for everything! I don't know wat I'd do if I've never met you guys!"

Natsu entered the room. "The house has been taken over!"

Cana and Levy turned to look at Natsu.

"Hubba Hubba!" Canna cried, slyly making her way towards Natsu. She placed her hands on his abs. "He's definitely a keeper!"

Seeing Cana gush over Natsu didn't sit right with Lucy but she couldn't figure out why. "Natsu, didn't I tell you to put on a shirt!? And Cana, stop molesting him! He's obviously uncomfortable!"

"Actually, I don't really mind," Natsu confessed.

Lucy glared at Natsu. He flinched. "I mean, yeah! I do mind! Let go!"

Cana reluctantly stopped tracing her fingers all over Natsu's abs and chest.

Levy wiggled her eyebrows at Lucy. "Jealous much?"

"Please, I don't get jealous," Lucy responded.

An hour later, Natsu and Lucy had washed up and were ready for the day. They went downstairs along with Juvia, Lisanna, Levy, and Cana to eat the breakfast Erza and Mirajane had been preparing. They all gasped when they saw the feast that was laid out on the dining table. It was not just breakfast. It was breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

"Thanks for the food!" Natsu cried, happily enjoying the food.

"This is a lot!" Lucy cried.

"But it's worth it! All we want is a smile on your face and for you to be well fed!" Mirajane responded.

They all sat down and started to talk about random stuff. As they talked, Lucy suddenly remembered the deal she made with Jacob.

"Mira, can you do me a favor?" Lucy asked.

"Anything," Mirajane answered.

"I need you to get some protective charms for you and the girls," Lucy said.

"Why? To protect us from the paparazzi?" Lisanna asked.

"We're flattered that you're worried about us but we're wizards too. We can hold our own against anyone who messes with us," Erza said.

"I know but..." Lucy bit her lip. She wasn't sure whether she should tell them or not. A lot has gone down in the past few days. She wasn't sure where she should start.

Natsu noticed her dilemma. "The charms are to protect you from Jacob Lessio, one of the Spriggan 12 and the man responsible for punishing sinners. Lucy made a deal with him and now your lives are in danger."

"What!? Lucy, what deal did you make!?" Juvia asked.

"Also, Spriggan 12...as in the guardians of the Underworld from the stories?" Levy asked.

Lucy nodded. "So, remember how I said that a guardian tried to drag me down to the Underworld? Yeah, so all of the guardians are trying to do that."

"You know the shooting at Sabretooth? That was caused by one of the Spriggan 12. That's why you can't find the guy responsible for the shooting," Natsu said.

"That makes sense," Erza said.

"Then another one tried to kill me in my sleep," Lucy said.

"But I killed him before that happened!" Natsu cried, smiling proudly.

"Jacob Lessio was the mot recent Spriggan 12 member to come after me, but his method was different." Lucy frowned. "I watched him kill my father."

Levy, who had just poured herself a glass of orange juice, nearly dropped the pitcher. "So Jude Heartfilia's death wasn't a suicide!?"

"Nope," Lucy answered.

"Wow...I'm sorry for your loss," Juvia said, reaching across the table to grab Lucy's hand in reassurance.

"But I was the one who let him die," Lucy said.

"Lucy, you what?" Erza asked.

Lucy hesitated. "Jacob proposed to me a deal. Option A was letting my father live and me dying. Option B was letting my father die me me still living, but the catch was that he will target you guys and give me the same options to choose from."

The girls grew silent.

"I'm...I'm sorry...it was selfish of me to choose Option B even though I technically didn't choose it. Just for me to live, I put your lives in danger..." Lucy had her head down in shame.

"Nonononono, don't blame yourself! What's wrong with not wanting to die?" Mirajane asked.

"But it was still selfish of me to choose that option anyway!" Lucy cried.

Natsu watched as the girls comforted Lucy. He sighed. Lucy, you have to be aggressive with what you want. You care a lot about them which is why Jacob's targeting them. He knows that you'll willingly go to the Underworld for them. And some charm is not going to save them. They're only going to get in the way.

He narrowed his eyes as he glanced at them one by one. I should get rid of them before they become a problem.

Mirajane looked away from Lucy and smiled at Natsu. Natsu smiled back. Who should be the first to go?

"Don't worry, Lucy. I'll get some charms from Fairy Tail for all of us," Mirajane told Lucy.

"I have to get to work at the bookstore. Call me if anything comes up," Levy said.

"I have a job interview! I need to go too," Juvia said.

"Time to deal with Jellal the slave driver..." Erza said with a sigh.

"I have classes this morning so I have to get going," Lisanna said.

"I got work at that one restaurant," Cana said.

"I actually miss going to work," Lucy said.

After cleaning up the place, the girls left for work. Mirajane, however, was the only one who stayed behind. She watched as Lucy tied Natsu's tie for him.

"If they ask about me being Lucky Lucy Heartfilia, change the topic," Lucy said.

"I don't get why I still gotta go to work," Natsu said.

"Because you're the intern. You walking there? taking the taxi? The subway?" Lucy asked.

"I'm obviously walking," Natsu answered.

Suddenly, the both of them were made aware of how close they were. Lucy quickly let go of Natsu's tie and backed up.

She cleared her throat. "If you're walking, you should go now. There's no way you'll make it on time if you leave a minute later."

"Oh yeah. I bought this when you were drunk," Natsu said, digging into his pocket.

Lucy blinked. "Drunk?"

He pulled out a gold colored ribbon and handed it to Lucy. "You always have your hair in a ponytail so I stole this for you. It's your present from me."

"You didn't have to steal it, but thanks I guess?" Lucy responded.

Natsu went behind her and put her hair into a ponytail. Once it was up, he stood back to admire the work.

"Don't you have work?" Lucy reminded him.

"Fuck! Gotta go!" Natsu cried as he ran out the door.

Mirajane giggled once the front door was closed behind Natsu. "He listens to you."

Lucy was about to decline but then she thought it over. "Yeah...once you think about it. He does what I tell him to do. Even when I don't tell him to do anything, he does whatever he can for me."

"Sweet, isn't it?" Mirajane asked, grabbing the white gift bag she had brought with her. The gift bag was sitting on the couch so she took it from the couch.

"Yeah," Lucy answered, playing with the ends of her ponytail.

"But you have to remember that he's still END, king of the demons," Mirajane said as her hand reached into the gift bag.

Lucy frowned. "He is, but those stories about him are just stories. He means well. He's just misunderstood."

Mirajane pulled out a white scarf that seemed to have been woven. She handed it to Lucy.

The minute Lucy touched the fabric, she suddenly felt light headed. A memory had come to her but just as fast as it came, it left. She blinked and rubbed her head in confusion.

"This scarf is rumored to be made from the scales of the dragon god Igneel himself. You see, I was looking for the geumganggo, since with the geumganggo you can temporarily immobilize a demon," Mirajane started.

"What!?" Lucy cried.

"I told you I was going to get one, remember?" Mirajane asked before continuing. "Anyway, you know how Laxus will soon be the owner of Fairy Tail and how he's in charge of getting all of those charms and magic books with the Thunder Legion, right? I told him that I was looking for the geumganggo and he quickly caught on that END is out. Weeks later, he came back with the very scarf that's in your hands."

Lucy looked down at the scarf.

"END knows what the geumganggo looks like and what it's for so it would be hard to trick him into wearing it. But that scarf is a different story. He would never know that the scarf is actually a stronger version of the geumganggo. Traditionally, if a demon wore the geumganggo as a crown, all you would have to do is chant a verse and the geumganggo will cause the demon a headache. But if a demon wears that scarf, it will suffocate the demon when the demon does something to betray you. All you need is to put your blood onto the scarf," Mirajane explained.

"I understand that you're trying to help but this scarf won't be needed. When has Natsu done anything to betray or hurt me?" Lucy asked, clutching tightly onto the scarf.

"He hasn't now, but he could later. Lucy, I'm not taking any chances. Make sure END wears that scarf," Mirajane said.

"He won't betray me," Lucy pressed.

"And it will just be a normal, everyday scarf. But if he does?" Mirajane responded.

Lucy slowly rubbed her hand against the soft fabric of the scarf. "I'll think about it."

Mirajane smiled brightly. "Wonderful! Anyway, I have to go to work now! Call me if you need anything!"

Lucy watched as Mirajane left. Once Mirajane was gone, Lucy was the only one left in the penthouse.

She unfolded the scarf and sat down on the couch. Natsu won't betray me, right?

Then she thought about the memory she had received even though she couldn't remember what it was. "This scarf...can this help me get my memories?"

However, remembering that it was a charm meant to temporarily immobilize demons, she discarded the thought. There's no way.

She sighed as she ran her fingers along the scarf. What should I do about this? What should I do...?

An image of the trouble making Natsu wearing the scarf appeared in her mind. It wouldn't suit him. As she imagined him in a scarf, she thought about all of the things he has done for her.

Again, that same question appeared: Natsu won't betray me, right?

To calm her nerves, she folded the scarf and went up to Natsu's room. Her phone was sitting on the nightstand so she placed the scarf on the bed and grabbed her phone. She scrolled through her contacts and landed on Cana's contact.

"Hey...will you be done with work at the restaurant?" Lucy asked the minute Cana answered.

"I actually got fired just now. Why? Everything okay?" Cana asked.

"Can you read my fortune?" Lucy asked.

"Fortune? But I thought you hated having your fortune read?" Cana asked.

"Yes, I do and I still do. But you come from a long line of fortune tellers who are actually legit fortune tellers. If I have to get my fortune read, I'd rather get it read by you," Lucy answered.

"Sure. I'll come over right away. But why do you want it read?" Cana asked.

"No reason," Lucy answered.

Minutes later, Cana and Lucy were seated across from each other at the dining table.

Cana was shuffling her Tarot cards.

"Actually, do it the way your ancestors do it," Lucy said.

"Okay, but don't get mad at me for being high," Cana said as she pushed her cards to the side.

Lucy nodded.

"Okay. So. In the past, my ancestors would ask for money or the most expensive item you have. We ask that cuz there has to be something that shares a story between you and someone else. That's how we're able to look into the future and see who else plays a big part in your future. Basically, the item has to have something to do with you and the person who will appear in your vision, if that makes sense," Cana explained.

Lucy thought about it. "Something to do with us..." She remembered the ribbon holding up her ponytail.

She pulled the ribbon out of her hair and placed it in between her and Cana. "Natsu gave me that ribbon."

"Okay, so the future I'll tell you will have to do with you and Natsu," Cana said.

"Correct," Lucy said.

Cana poured out a bag of cocaine and poured it all over the ribbon. Then, she rolled up a dollar bill and snorted the white powdery substance up her nose. She immediately looked up at the ceiling with wide eyes.

"What do you see?" Lucy asked, nervously playing with her fingers under the table. Does Natsu betray me or not?

A tear fell out of Cana's eyes. "I-I-I-I can't...believe it..."

Worry rushed through Lucy's body. "What? What did you see!?"

Cana attempted to stay serious as she looked at Lucy but her tears continued to fall. "Natsu burns you alive."

Random Fact: I'm scared to watch the 3rd Fate/Stay Night: Heavens Feel movie

Wassup!? It's ya gurl sugarsugarrush!

So, after my auntie and I tried to get my mom into Chinese dramas (earlier, my auntie and I were arguing over which drama, Eternal Love or Ashes of Love, was better than the other. I said Ashes of Love. My auntie said Eternal Love. My mom was judging the both of us), I decided to re-watch Eternal Love. As I was watching, I was so surprised to see some similarities. I would list them but just in case some of y'all are watching Eternal Love or about to watch it, I don't want to spoil it. Wow. Glad I caught those similarities!
