Bonus 1: high school story.
"What if we met in high school?" Lucy randomly asked.
She and Natsu were walking around town when they saw two high school students run into an internet cafe.
"What's high school?" Natsu asked.
"Oh yeah, they didn't have things like high school back then," Lucy said as she thought about how she should answer his question. "High school is, um, school, but for teenagers? I don't really know how to explain it."
"Teenager school?" Natsu wondered out loud.
"Okay, let's say that we were in our first year in high school...and we met...um...where would we have met?" Lucy asked.
"The library?" Natsu suggested.
Lucy smiled. "Okay, so let's say we met at the library..."
First year high school student Lucy Heartfilia walked down the rows of bookshelves as she looked for a book to get. She adjusted the circular glasses that were on her face-
"Wait, you wore glasses when you were a teenager?" Natsu asked.
Lucy nodded. "And they were the big circle ones. I messed up my eyesight pretty bad when I was a kid."
"How come you don't use glasses now?" Natsu asked.
"My dad made me get LASIK eye surgery so I can see pretty well now," Lucy answered, batting her eyelashes.
Lucy eventually stopped at one shelf. Standing on her tippy toes, she reached up so she could grab a book. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't reach it.
"Almost...there..." she grumbled as her finger brushed against the book.
Suddenly, someone taller than her appeared behind her and grabbed the book she was trying to get.
Lucy was caught off guard and lost her balance. Thankfully for her, the person who grabbed the book caught her before she fell. Now that she was in his arms, she looked up and the first thing she noticed was that he had pink hair. Then, she looked at his face and saw that he was smiling. Her whole world stopped as she stared into his twinkling eyes-
Natsu snorted.
"What?" Lucy asked.
"Nothing, nothing," Natsu answered, failing to hide his smile. Then, he burst out laughter.
"Why are you laughing!? Stop!" Lucy cried.
"This story is so cheesy!" Natsu cried as he laughed.
"That's the point! High school romance stories are supposed to be cheesy!" Lucy cried as she felt her cheeks warm
"Okay, let's say things went like this," Natsu said through his laughter.
The pink haired boy helped Lucy balance herself.
Once she was standing on her own two feet, Lucy straightened her skirt before she looked up at the boy. "Thank you very much. Can I have that book please?"
"Who said I got it for you?" The boy asked.
Lucy blinked. "But I saw it first."
"But I grabbed it first," the boy said before walking away.
Lucy crossed her arms and glared at Natsu. "What a dick move."
Natsu simply smirked. "Was it?"
Lucy eventually dragged her feet to her classroom and sat in her seat. Levy McGarden, her best friend who sat in front of her, turned around so she was facing Lucy. "What's wrong?"
"This guy took this book from me that I almost fell and possibly busted my head for," Lucy answered with a frown.
Two more girls who were sitting on either side of Lucy moved their desks so they were touching Lucy's desk.
"Who's the guy?" The one with blue hair, Juvia Lockster, asked.
"Let's fight him!" The brunette, Cana Alberona, cried.
Lucy sighed. "I don't know who he is."
The girl sitting behind Lucy whose name is Erza Scarlet, leaned over so she was in the conversation. "Do you remember what he looks like?"
"He has pink hair," Lucy answered.
Two sisters, Mirajane and Lisanna Strauss were sitting on either side of Erza so they got up from their desks and stood around Lucy's desk.
"Pink hair is a unique color," Lisanna said.
"I think I might know who you're talking about. His name is Natsu Dragneel," Mirajane said.
"Natsu Dragneel?" Lucy wondered out loud.
A young child prodigy named Wendy Marvell sat next to Levy. She turned around so she was facing Lucy. "Oh! I know about Natsu Dragneel!"
"In this story, what sport should I give you?" Lucy wondered as they sat on a bench.
"Sport?" Natsu asked.
Lucy nodded "In these type of stories, the male lead is either a genius who's a loner or an outgoing jock."
"I can be the genius loner," Natsu said.
"I can't see that," Lucy admitted.
"That's fair," Natsu answered as he thought about a sport. "How about soccer?"
"He's the star player on the soccer team, and he's really outgoing. Also, he's a senior," Wendy answered.
"So an upperclassman," Lucy answered.
After school, Lucy had to stay behind for the Newspaper Club. Club President Jason had given her an assignment: to interview the senior soccer players about their feelings about the last big game of their senior year.
Lucy was standing on the side of the field as she watched the soccer players practice. Her hands were behind her back and they were holding her notepad. Although it looked like she was watching all of the players play, she was mainly focusing on Natsu.
Wow...he's really good. I hope they win, though. What am I saying? They always win, she thought.
Once practice was over, she proceeded to make her way to Natsu. However, the closer she was, the more shy she grew. Then she noticed Gray Fullbuster, Juvia's crush. She decided that she'll interview him instead.
She ended up interviewing every senior but Natsu.
"Wow. Seriously? You left me out," Natsu said, pretending that he was hurt.
"In high school stories, the female lead is usually shy around the male lead," Lucy answered.
"But then how are we supposed to talk?" Natsu asked.
"You'll see," Lucy answered with a smile.
The next day, someone told Lucy that Natsu wanted to see her. The minute Lucy had received the news, everyone turned around so they were facing her. Whispered filled the classroom.
"Why does the most popular boy at school want to see a nerd like her?"
"This isn't fair!"
"She must have done something bad."
Lucy glanced around the classroom as she nervously made her way out the door. Once she was outside, she carefully closed the door behind her. She then turned around so she was facing Natsu who had his hands in his pockets.
"How come you interviewed everyone but me?" Natsu asked.
"There were some other people I didn't interview," Lucy said, nervously looking down.
"Yeah, but they were underclassmen. I'm the star player. Wouldn't it make more sense to interview me?" Natsu asked.
Lucy didn't say anything. She simply kept her gaze on the floor as she played with the ends of her skirt.
Natsu leaned closer towards her, which caused her to jump.
"Wait, are you still mad at me about the book?" He asked.
Lucy didn't say anything.
Natsu looked around and saw that students, mainly girls, were watching their interaction through the windows of the classroom. Because of the onlookers, Natsu grabbed Lucy's hand.
Lucy jumped and finally looked up at Natsu in surprise. Natsu simply smirked before he ran down the hall with her, hand in hand.
Soon, they arrived on the roof of the school. A red backpack was laying on the ground so he grabbed it and dug inside of it. He pulled out the book that Lucy was struggling to get. The title was: Legend of the Fire Demon.
"Are you...giving it to me?" Lucy asked.
"Only if you give me a personal interview," Natsu answered.
Lucy crossed her arms and rose an eyebrow. "Seriously? All this for an interview? And why me specifically?"
Natsu laid on the floor and used his arms as a pillow. "No interview, no book."
Lucy sat down next to him. "Fine."
"Ah, so that's why you didn't interview me at first," Natsu said.
"Maybe it wasn't a dick move that you took that book away from me after all," Lucy said.
After Lucy personally interviewed him, Natsu began to find all sorts of ways to bother Lucy so her attention would be on him. It would range from sending her notes with small spoilers from the book and his thoughts on the chapter Lucy was currently on to simply waiting outside of class so he could walk with her while talking about the random things he could think of. At first, Lucy was annoyed by the actions but she quickly grew fond of them.
One day, two girls named Brandish μ and Demaria Yesta approached Lucy's desk at the end of class. Their arms were crossed and it was obvious they weren't willing to move out of the way for her.
"What's your relationship with Natsu Dragneel?" Demaria demanded.
"We're just friends," Lucy answered without missing a beat.
"What a bore..." Brandish mumbled as she yawned.
"Can we borrow you for a minute?" Demaria asked with a smirk.
Lucy glanced at the windows to see if Natsu was waiting outside for her. She frowned when she didn't see him.
"Come on," Demaria urged Lucy.
"Fine," Lucy answered, standing up.
She followed Demaria and Brandish down the hall. The ended up in an area filled with students, and there was Natsu talking to a familiar looking blonde girl.
Wait, isn't that my older distant cousin Anna? She's back from overseas? Lucy wondered. She was about to walk over to them when Demaria stopped her.
Her legs turned to jelly when she watched Natsu and Anna kiss. What...what's this...?
"Oh? Didn't you know? Anna Heartfilia's his girlfriend. You look so much like Anna so of course he'd talk to you while he was waiting for Anna to come back," Demaria said as she struggled to hold back her laughter.
Natsu groaned. "Did you seriously have to put Anna in this story?"
"I'm still mad at you about the whole thing," Lucy answered.
Natsu rested his head against Lucy's lap like a cat. "And I'm still sorry about everything...what can I do to make it up...?"
Lucy began to run her fingers through Natsu's pink hair, a habit that she has found herself forming. "The story's not over yet."
Lucy felt tears well up in her eyes as she watched the scene that had broken out in front of her. She wanted to fall to the floor but she stopped herself.
When Natsu broke the kiss, he noticed Lucy. "Oh...Lucy..."
"Was I-" Lucy's voice broke. "Was I just something to keep you entertained? Was that really what I was?"
Natsu was lost for words as he stared at Lucy.
Stay strong, stay strong, Lucy kept on telling herself. Her hands were clenched into fists as she stared back at Natsu. "Well, Anna's back. You don't need me anymore. Goodbye."
Everyone had formed a crowd as they watched the whole transaction go down. They were laughing at Lucy, telling her over and over that she was played. Lucy ignored the comments as she walked away.
"Wait! Lucy!" Natsu called after her.
Lucy ignored him.
"The story's sad now," Natsu said with a frown.
"Every story should have some sort of tragedy," Lucy answered.
"That sucks," Natsu mumbled.
"Hmmm...should we add some more tragedy?" Lucy suggested.
The school didn't win the game.
Reason: Natsu was way too distracted.
The coach had yelled at Natsu and his teammates all turned their backs on him. The rest of the students, especially the girls, took their anger out on Lucy.
They would push her down the stairs, rip up her homework, steal her lunch money, and many more. But Lucy endured...until they ripped up the book Natsu gave her.
It was raining that day.
All of Lucy's belongings were dumped out of her backpack in a large puddle. Brandish and Dematia held Lucy back as Anna ripped each page of the book and threw them into the puddle.
"Stop it!" Lucy screamed.
"Why should I? Because of you, my boyfriend lost the big game of his life! If he won, then he'd be set for life!" Anna yelled.
"How's it my fault when I did nothing wrong!? I was the person who was wronged, not him!" Lucy yelled.
Anna glared at Lucy and dropped the book. "We look way too much alike. It's about time we've done something about it."
Just as Anna reached for Lucy's neck, Natsu came in and held Anna back.
"Who th-" she froze when she saw who it was. "B-Baby...!"
"Leave her alone!" Natsu demanded.
"Why should I!? She played with your heart and you lost because of her!" Anna yelled.
"I lost because I realized that I don't like you! The person I like is Lucy and I broke her heart!" Natsu yelled.
Anna fell onto the ground with wide eyes. It was hard to tell if the water running down her cheeks were tears or raindrops. "...what? You don't...like me...?"
"I thought I did. Turns out, I was only grateful because you gave me money that helped me afford soccer, and soccer can be expensive. I only played that sport because you made me do it. Bruh, I've never even liked playing it," Natsu explained before he walked over to the puddle where Lucy's things were dumped out in.
He bent down and began to pick up her things. He attempted to dry them with the sleeve of his uniform's blazer jacket the best he could. Then, once they were dry-ish, he put them in Lucy's backpack.
Lucy watched the action with pure confusion. So wait, he likes me?
"Babe! Stop helping her!" Anna shrieked.
Natsu then noticed the ripped out pages from the book. He grabbed a page and stared at at. "...wow. You're insane."
"Babe!" Anna whined.
"I don't hit girls, but right now I'm thinking about going against that! So get the fuck out of here!" Natsu yelled.
Anna flinched. Demaria and Brandish let go of Lucy and they dragged Anna away.
It was just Natsu and Lucy left...or so they thought. A crowd had formed around them but they didn't notice.
Once Lucy's things were packed up, Natsu stood up and handed her the tan backpack that belonged to her.
"I'm sorry about everything. And I get it if you don't want to talk to me again. I'll get out of your life," Natsu said before walking away.
Lucy stared at the backpack that was in her hands. How am I supposed to feel about this?
"Wait," Natsu said, sitting up. "This story sounds familiar..."
"There's more," Lucy told him.
Lucy had run over to her parents, begging them not to transfer her to another school. However, it was too late. All of the paperwork had been completed. So, Lucy ended up finishing the rest of her high school years at a fancy prep school. Soon, she graduated and went to college to could become a bestselling author.
On moving day, she eagerly ran down the hallway to her dorm with her suitcase in hand. When she stopped at the door, she took a deep breath. Okay. I was told that my roommate is one of the best writers here. I have to make a good first impression!
She put her hair in a high ponytail so she looked neat and professional. Since she had also gotten LASIK eye surgery, she didn't have her glasses anymore. She had become a beauty.
She slowly opened the door a crack. "Um...good afternoon."
No answer.
They must not be in yet, she decided as she fully opened the door. She rolled her suitcase in and flashed on the lights. Then, she gasped when she saw a boy laying on one of the beds. The book Legend of the Fire Demon was opened and it was on his face. Then, she noticed that he had pink hair.
Pink hair...looks familiar...
The boy squirmed a bit which caused the book to fall onto the floor. When the book hit the floor, he sat up. "Professor! I'm awake!"
He looked around and saw that he wasn't in class. Then, he locked eyes with Lucy.
Lucy flinched. Isn't that...Natsu!? He's the best writer here!?
"...Lucy..." Natsu said quietly.
"You...recognize me...?" Lucy slowly asked. I look exactly like Anna, especially now that I don't have glasses anymore. How was he able to tell the difference?
Natsu smiled warmly. "Of course I did. You've always been on my mind ever since that day." Then he frowned. "I'm sorry about everything.
Lucy wanted to stay mad at him but for some reason, she couldn't. She slowly made her way towards him as she felt her heart beat loudly in her chest. "I'm still mad about the whole thing."
Natsu stood up. "Is there anything I can do to make it up?"
This will go one of two ways, Lucy thought to herself. She stood on her tippy toes and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Kiss me?"
At first, Natsu was surprised. Then, a second later, he tightly hugged Lucy and kissed her.
"The end," Lucy said, resting her head on Natsu's shoulder.
"That was a nice story," Natsu said before he added another thing. "It sound like our story."
"Because it is," Lucy answered.
So, is she saying that she's not mad about the whole Anna thing anymore? Does she want me to kiss her? Should I kiss her? Natsu wondered.
All of his wondering was stressing him out and Lucy secretly enjoyed seeing him like this. She glanced up at him and hid a smile.
Random Fact: I got my driver's license last week. No, I'm dead serious, I actually got my driver's license last week
Wassup!? It's ya gurl sugarsugarrush!
I'm back with bonus chapters! Sorry for the long wait! April and May are the most busiest months for me so I've barely had time to sit down and type up chapters.

shrinemaiden05- Lol! Also, I'm glad that you agree that the ending I gave fit the whole Fairy Tail thing! Yes, it's finally done, but I'll continue to post bonus chapters!
Copperreign12- Awwwww thank you so much! As for the ideas I have for bonus chapters, that's a secret!
MaraDragneel3113- Thank you so much! And as for a part 2 for this...hmmm...thinking about it, a part two sounds like a good idea cuz then I can develop Natsu and Lucy's relationship some more...we'll see if I'll make a part two or not...hehehehe...
Today's actually my last day of high school, and my graduation's in two days. I was feeling nostalgic since my high school chapter has come to a close. High school was very...eventful. In a good way. I was thinking about the things I could have done differently and things that I wish I could do again when I had this bonus chapter idea. I felt that it would be cute to put it in so I decided to release this bonus chapter first instead of the other one I was planning on releasing
Anyway, I was looking at all of the favs and alerts and I saw that there were 67 favs and 90 alerts! OMG, thank you very much! Ahhhh I wanna hug each and every one of y'all!
Also, I've slowly begun to go back and edit chapters! Chapters 1 through 8 have been edited so far! 10 down, 22 more to go!
Since this story is directly inspired by kdramas and Chinese xianxia dramas, I've been thinking about putting together a soundtrack kinda like an OST for a while now
