Izuku: I heard there are 2 classes which one are you in? I'm in class A ( ^ω^ )

Tsuyu: Really? I'm in class A too!

Izuku: No way (^^)! We're gonna be in class together!

Tsuyu: I can't wait!

… … …

Kacchan: Deku

Deku: Hey Kacchan how are you?

Kacchan: How the fuck did you not die on the entrance exam

Deku: I uh I don't really know myself

Kacchan: Bullshit

Kacchan: You're hiding something

Deku: No why would I do that?

Kacchan: Bitch I'll figure you out

… … …

It was moving day. The day Midoriya said goodbye to his mother to go live at school. His mother did not take it too well, but felt better when he promised to visit as often as he could. He grabbed his luggage and waved goodbye to his mother, his eyes clouding with tears.

"B-bye mom," he sniffled. His mother clung to his arm for a moment, eyes pouring with tears.

"Izukuuuu…" she choked out, "don't forget to visit…"

"I… I will mom!" she released his arm and he was gone.

He met with Asui at the train station. They both had their luggage in hand as they walked solemnly to UA. Midoriya's eyes were still a little puffy.

"So, did you see room assignments?" Midoriya finally cut into the silence.

"Ribbit," Asui replied with an affirmative croak, "and I'm on the top floor. That's gonna be a pain."

"Yeah, seems like it," Midoriya scratched the back of his head. "I'm on the second floor, which isn't so bad. The difference is that I have neighbors. Are there really only six girls in our class?"

"I guess so. I'm down the hall from Yaoyorozu, whoever that is. I might introduce myself if I see her."

"Hey, that's not a bad idea!" Midoriya chirped. "Maybe I should introduce myself to the people on my floor! Although would that be coming on too strong? I don't want to make a bad first impression, but would not greeting them be too much, or not enough? And…" Midoriya broke into a fit of mumbling under his breath.

"Izuku, heeey," Asui waved her hand in front of his face until he snapped out of it. "You'll be fine. I'm sure we'll meet everyone in our class in due time, it's fine." They approached their dorm building and stepped in.

The common room was nothing short of a ridiculous sight. A blond guy firing a laser from his navel, another blond guy trying to electrocute a rock man, and a set of clothes running up behind people and scaring them. There were groupings of other students simply talking and others going about unpacking first, but each group was equally chaotic. It seemed as if Midoriya and Asui were among the last to show up.

They both agreed to drop off their luggage and unpack later, not wanting to miss making new friends in the common room. They both tossed their suitcases and bags on their beds and met back at the stairwell. They decided it was best if they walked around together so they could help each other out. Since they were both social outcasts effectively, a little support went a long way.

The first thing they noticed was the nice brown-haired girl that they saw on the entrance exam day. They approached her.

"H-hey!" Midoriya greeted, smiling warmly, "I didn't know you were gonna be in our class!"

The girl turned when she saw the green-haired duo behind her and returned Midoriya's smile, "Oh hey! It's you two! I never caught your names though."

"O-oh," Midoriya smiled sheepishly, "I'm Izuku Midoriya!"

"And I'm Tsuyu Asui, call me Tsu."

"Ah, well I'm Ochako Uraraka!" the girl proclaimed. "It's a pleasure to finally know your names." They continued to discuss the basics, like conjecture on how dorm life will be and what the hero classes will be like. However, it wasn't even 5 minutes before someone showed up.

"DEKU!"

Midoriya choked up instantly and clasped his head with his hands. Bakugou walked up to him.

"What's a shitty wannabe like you doing in my class?"

"U-uh, Kacchan, how are you?" Midoriya stumbled.

"Bitch, don't talk to me with the 'oh Kacchan how are you?', I'm fucking furious. Did they just pity you that much that they let you in?"

"Hey!" Asui interjected. "Don't talk to Izuku like that, he passed the exam fairly."

"Oh wow," Bakugou laughed, "seems like frog face here actually cares about you. That's a first. Now tell me Deku—how does a quirkless loser like you pass the UA entrance exam?"

"Quirkless?" Uraraka questioned, "he isn't quirkless. He used his quirk to save me during the exam."

The whole room turned when they heard Bakugou's neck snap to look at Midoriya. "What the fuck did she just say?"

"I-I… I, er, I uh…" Midoriya mumbled.

"Deku whatthefuckdidshejustsay?" he spoke so quickly that Midoriya almost didn't understand. "You have a quirk? Have you been holding out on me? Not using it all these years? Why? What the fuck have you been doing? You think you're better than me? Think you're so cool with your quirk that you let me take the spotlight because you knew you could take it back anytime? Well you can't, because I'm better than you. Quirk or no quirk, you're still the same useless Deku you'll always be. Eat shit and die," Bakugou stormed away.

"What just happened?" Asui croaked after the silence settled.

"I-I don't know…" Midoriya responded.

"Wow, what's his deal?" Uraraka joked. "Why'd he call you quirkless anyway?"

"Ok Izuku, you've prepared for this moment, you just have to tell her that your quirk manifested recently and that he didn't know. You practiced in front of the mirror for this. You can do it." Midoriya took a deep breath, "Yeah my recently quirk I did." "Dammit!" He began to panic and try and stutter out something intelligible, which failed. Uraraka cut him off.

"Oh, your quirk manifested recently?" she asked.

"Yes! That's what I said! Yes!" Midoriya sighed, grateful that she took the reins in the conversation.

"Hm, so that guy knew you before and he didn't know about your quirk? That's odd. Well whatever," she paused for a moment. "Why'd he keep calling you "Deku' though? Is that like, a nickname or something?" Midoriya winced, knowing this would come. Asui wrapped her arm around his shoulder to comfort him, seeing his distress.

"I-I… yeah… it's the nickname Kacchan gave me back in elementary school…" Midoriya replied dejectedly.

"Hmm…" Uraraka thought visibly for a moment. "Well I like it! It has a sort of empowerment to it, y'know? Deku! It's very hopeful."

Midoriya felt the tears coming, "Y-you really think so?"

"Yeah! Would you mind if I called you Deku?"

"U-uh, go for it," Midoriya chuckled.

"Great! Well I'll see ya Deku, see ya Tsu, I gotta unpack!" Uraraka waved goodbye and ran up the stairs.

"So…" Asui turned to Midoriya, "Deku, huh?" she smirked at him slightly. "I thought you hated the name."

"W-well I really l-like the way Uraraka put it, so I figured that she could call me Deku if she wanted to," Midoriya murmured awkwardly.

"Well she doesn't call you Izuku, so that's still between us, that's still special, ribbit," Asui smiled. "Well, us and your mom," she snickered a bit.

"Hey!" Midoriya's face lit up red. "W-well, what about you? Now she calls you Tsu, so that's not special between us anymore…" Midoriya pouted slightly.

"Well…" she paused, "I think I want all my friends to call me Tsu. It's just easier that way. But hey, you can call me Tsuyu instead!" she smiled brightly. "That's even more special!" Midoriya's smile grew to match hers.

"Th-thanks Tsuyu," he tried it out, "I'm glad you're watching out for me."

"Boo!" a girl's voice suddenly shouted from behind, startling the two. They turned to see the haunted clothes behind them, laughing. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's just too good!" the voice said. "I'm Tooru Hagakure," a hand settled on both their shoulders respectively. "As you can see, I'm invisible." They both looked at each other and understood now. They watched as three guys came out from behind a wall, presumably watching them.

"Man Hagakure, that was nice!" a black-haired guy said. He has a wide grin on at all times, it seemed.

"Yeah!" the blond guy said. They recognized him as the one electrocuting the rock guy, who was standing with them too.

"Sorry about that," he said, "we've been going around watching Hagakure scare people. It's funny when you aren't on the receiving end of it," he smiled empathetically. The pair smiled back.

"Hi Hagakure, I'm Izuku Midoriya," he greeted awkwardly, holding out his hand to shake with the air.

"I'm Tsuyu Asui," she added, also shaking hands with nothing, "call me Tsu."

The other three boys introduced themselves as Hanta Sero, Denki Kaminari, and Eijirou Kirishima. They all shared a laugh about the scare before Hagakure spoke up.

"So I've been meaning to ask, since you two have been standing together this whole time, are you dating?" she asked them. Asui blushed and looked away, unable to muster the courage to say no. She desperately wanted to say yes to see how Midoriya would react, but struggled to say anything.

Midoriya broke, as he usually did. He blushed and managed to spit out some semblance of words, but none of them were coherent. He had never thought of Asui like that, except in that dream he had at her house. Did he like her like that? He decided to explore his feelings later, when he wasn't being interrogated.

As if on cue, the moment the words "dating" came out of Hagakure's mouth, Mina Ashido came running from across the room.

"Dating? Did someone say dating?" she ran up to the group and saw how they were arranged. Hagakure and the other guys, whom she had already met, were facing the two new people. She assumed they were the ones in question, and squealed in excitement, "Ooh~! You two are so cute together!"

"W-we aren't dating," Asui managed to croak out. She could see Midoriya relax next to her, reassuring her that she did the right thing. A groan came out of the audience that had gathered before them. But Ashido wasn't fooled. She saw their blushes. She turned to Hagakure and whispered in her ear.

"You were the one who asked if they were dating, right?" she asked. The invisible girl hummed affirmatively. "Wanna help me get them together?" a mischievous smirk fell onto Ashido's face as Hagakure jumped excitedly. Their scheming had just begun.

Midoriya and Asui excused themselves and greeted everyone else in the class. After that, they agreed to hang out in Midoriya's room until dinner. They found out that Satou loved to cook (more so bake, but he enjoyed both), and that he was making dinner. They were excited for that, seeing how excited he was himself. They reached Midoriya's room and walked in together. Ashido and Hagakure, who had been following them, took note of this before retreating to Hagakure's room one floor above.

They walked in together and Midoriya started unpacking. Each item he took out was All Might themed, which Asui thought was cute. It wasn't until he broke out the All Might bed sheets that she cut in though.

"Uh, Izuku?" Asui gestured for him to stop unpacking. "You don't think All Might bed sheets might be a bit much?"

"Huh?" puzzlement washed over his face, "What do you mean?"

"They're a bit childish," Asui stared bluntly.

"Oh," Midoriya looked down, "I was afraid of that."

"Hey, it's ok," Asui smiled at him, "I think you just need to be careful with how much All Might you display in your room. I don't want to tell you to limit your expression or passion, but I think some people might be unnerved to see All Might on every square inch of the room."

Midoriya nodded, "That makes sense," he smiled. With Asui's help, he was able to show off enough of his All Might merch to where it wasn't overbearing (she vetoed his seven posters and they brought it down to just two), but it still made Midoriya happy and reflected his passion.

"Hey," Midoriya began, "you should probably go unpack too, you need help?"

"Oh, sure, sounds good, ribbit."

They walked into the elevator and were met with Jirou going up to her floor. They waved, having talked with her earlier, and pressed the 5F button.

"I meant to ask earlier," Jirou began, "but are you two dating?"

Silence filled the elevator.

"U-u-uh, n-no," Midoriya squeaked out behind his blush, and Asui nodded.

Jirou smirked as the elevator opened to her floor, "Well good luck with that." They continued the rest of the way up in silence.

They walked into Asui's room and they began unpacking again, the mood lightening from awkward to cheery as they started talking again, enjoying each other's presence. Once they were finished, Asui brought out her disc set of the anime they started at her house and they picked up where they left off.

Eventually, dinner was called, though the two didn't hear it. They were two busy watching to hear it, and Yaoyorozu didn't come by and get them because she was already downstairs. The people downstairs began wondering where they were.

"Hey, where's Midoriya and Asui?" Satou asked as he was dishing out food. "Those are their names, right?" he whispered to Shouji, who was closest to him.

"Indeed, they are nowhere to be found," Iida said.

"Ooh, ooh!" Hagakure was waving her arms, though it was hard to tell, "I saw them go into Midoriya's room together!"

Mineta began drooling, "I wonder what they were doing?" Everyone pretended not to hear that.

"They went up to Asui's room after that," Jirou said casually.

"Who the fuck cares where Deku and frogger are, let's eat!" Bakugou shouted.

"Whoa bro, take it easy," Kirishima said. He was sitting right next to Bakugou, inspired by his manliness and dedicated to getting to know him. Bakugou was inspired to rip Kirishima's head off and dedicated to doing so.

"I'll go get them!" Uraraka said as she got up from her seat and ran over to the stairs. She eventually reached the top floor and approached Asui's door. She was about to knock on the door until she heard a noise. Or rather, an assortment of noises, the kind of assortment she didn't expect to hear, especially not on the first day.

The bed was creaking.

"Aaah~!"

"Tsuyu!"

"Izuku!"

"I-I… I'm gonna…!"

Uraraka backed up right there and ran downstairs. Her eyes were wide. She wore the expression of seeing untold horrors despite not seeing anything at all. When she returned to the dining hall without anyone else, everyone else asked why.

"Well, ya see…" she tripped on her own words. She eventually just said, "I think Mineta was right…" Everyone looked at her like she was crazy. "Maybe we should eat without them." They reluctantly agreed and began eating, not knowing how to deal with the situation.

Truthfully, of course, nothing that Uraraka had insinuated was happening. What happened was that Midoriya saw a spider on the ceiling and let out a high-pitched scream, which came out a bit more sensually than he had intended. They both stood up on the bed and began stepping back and forth, trying to find out where the spider went after it fell.

"Uhh, Tsuyu?!" he shouted, turning to her to see if she had found it. She shook her head and he began to freak out.

"Izuku?" she tilted her head at him, wordlessly asking the same, trying to stay calm. As if on cue, he found it hanging by a thread off the ceiling again and pointed at it.

"I-I… I'm gonna…" he held his hands out and clapped, crushing the spider between his hands, "get it!" They both stopped pacing on the bed and sat down again. They finished that episode, which only had about five minutes left, before seeing the time and rushing downstairs, knowing that they were late.

When they entered the dining hall, the room went silent and all eyes fell on them. The pair was quite disturbed by this, but Satou broke the silence by pointing to their food, which he left in the kitchen, and telling them it's theirs. They sat down together in the two empty seats in between Todoroki and Tokoyami. The room remained silent. Until Mineta tried to break it.

"So you guys aren't dating but you're fuc—" everyone on his side of the table almost dog piled him telling him to shut up. Midoriya and Asui looked around, their confusion plain as day on Midoriya's face. Asui continued her blank stare.

"What's going on?" Asui eventually asked.

When nobody responded, Tokoyami turned to the pair, "Uraraka heard you two." This didn't clear up anything.

"Heard us what?" Midoriya asked innocently. "Watch anime?"

"Hey what kinda anime are you watching over ther—" Mineta was once again cut off, this time by Bakugou's fist from across the table.

"N-no," Uraraka mumbled, a blush rising on her face, "I heard you two… it was like ten minutes ago, you were… y'know…" she couldn't get the words out as she covered her face with her hands to hide her blush.

"She heard you two commit indecent acts with each other!" Iida stood up and shouted. "What do you have to say for yourselves?"

The duo stopped and thought really hard about what they were talking about. Eventually, the pieces clicked in Asui's mind as her face went red. She didn't consider what they had sounded like, but uh… yikes. That's embarrassing.

"Ribbit, we were trying to kill a spider," she said. She turned to Midoriya.

"Yeah, we uh… both jumped on the bed when the spider fell down and tried to find it," Midoriya said shamefully, still unaware of what the class was implying.

Uraraka looked confused, "But, I-I heard…"

"We're both afraid of spiders," Asui said plainly, "so we screamed when we saw it."

It was silent throughout the room. Until Uraraka dropped her head on the table.

"My mistake for making assumptions, I'm sorry," she said.

"It's ok, Uraraka!" Midoriya smiled. "Don't worry about it!"

Asui leaned over to him and whispered in his ear, "You don't know what they're talking about, do you?" He got chills as he felt her warm breath across his face. He leaned back.

"No idea, what's going on?" he whispered back. She felt her blush rise at his closeness.

"Don't worry about it then," Asui smirked a bit. The chatter that had proceeded before the two had shown up resumed as normal.

… … …

Midoriya laid in his bed, staring off into nothing for a bit, contemplating his emotions, as one does.

"Why does everyone think we're dating? Do we act like a couple? Is that what a couple is, just like… a super friendship? Tsuyu was being weird about it like I was, so she must feel the same. I'm just confused… would I mind dating Tsuyu? She's my best friend after all. She's amazing. She's so smart, and cool, and funny, and pretty … Do I… like her? Is that what this feeling is? Is this love? I love my mom but I don't feel like this when I think about her. It's like, like a warm feeling that burns inside of me. Like a bubbling anxiety that rises from my core. I felt it when she slept next to me that time. That was so nice… now it hurts… it's burning so intensely, it hurts. I miss her, I want to sleep with her again… …! No not like that! I just want to cuddle… is that weird? Am I weird for wanting that? Or is this part of being in love?

I think I am in love. I've never felt this way about anyone before. Well, I've also never felt much of anything for anyone, since I've never had other friends. Is this just friendship? I-I… it can't be, right? This feels too strong to just be friendship, and I didn't feel it when I first met Tsuyu. Well, not this much. This feels so real.

Should I talk to her about this? Surely not, I wouldn't want to ruin my friendship by being weird. Then again, Tsuyu's pretty understanding. We've known each other for almost a year now, and none of the stupid things that people make fun of me for have bothered her. Would this bother her? I don't think so, she might just feel awkward about it. Or what if she feels the same way about me? …nah, probably not. That's ridiculous. What is this, a fanfiction? No, this is reality, and reality says that Izuku Midoriya will die single. But until then, I'm gonna savor this warmth. I'm gonna make every hug special." He suddenly flashed back to his dream where she kissed him on the cheek. "I wish that were the case. Maybe someday… that'd be nice…"

Midoriya drifted off into a sound sleep, treasuring the warmth inside.

Man we're finally at the dorms! Here's where the real story begins. The next couple chapters are just gonna be dorm antics until I run out of ideas, so if you have any ideas for that, let me know! I might use some if I think they're really good. Anyways, keep an eye out for the next chapter, I'm maybe only halfway done with it and it's already one of my favorites. Well, hope you enjoyed!
