I know I should be working on an update, since it's been so long. But this just came to me in class today and I had to wrote it down. This is just a one shot so enjoy!

Meeting on the Dance Floor

As the music started their eyes met from across the dance floor. The two began to dance towards one another meeting in the middle of the floor. They fell into step with each other moving along to the beat.

"Everyone is looking you know."

"Let them look."

"They won't believe we're just friends anymore."

"Are we?"

"I don't know, I think I'm falling in love."

Legolas and Aragorn continued to spin around the dance floor, they danced the rest of the night lost in each others arms.

"Where did everyone go?"

"To bed I suppose. We should go to sleep as well."

"Just one more song?"

"Aragorn there is no music anymore."

"Sing for me Legolas. Please."

Legolas began to sing, the prince never could say no to his Ranger. They did a few more turns on the dance floor. Aragorn glanced out on of the windows and noticed it was almost daybreak.

"Legolas hurry! Let's go watch the sunrise from our hill."

Both of them left the House of Elrond and climbed a small hill. They sat with their backs against a large oak tree. It was the exact same place Legolas and Aragorn met the first time, back when he was still Estel.

They sat in silence watching the beauty of the sunrise. Just when the sky was painted with glorious golds, pinks and reds the elf and the man leaned towards one another and shared their first kiss.

The kiss was soft and gentle expressing more love then words alone. They pulled away and just held each other watching the end of the sunrise. They didn't break apart and return until nearly lunch.

"Speaking of lunch, I think that's enough stories about King Elessar and Prince Legolas."

"Aww… but can't we hear just one more?"

"Yeah, tell us about the time the King fell off the cliff!"

"Or the time that the prince tried to teach the King to shoot properly!"

"Yeah that's a funny one!"

"That's enough, perhaps I'll have time to tell you more tomorrow. Now off you go! And be sure to do your assignments."

In the shadows behind the class the two subjects of the story shared another of those brief undemanding kisses.

"I love you."

"Amin mela lle."
