The next morning, Bob and Helen had left and Violet had gone with Tony. Evelyn sat in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, when Dash came in.
Evelyn sighed before she grabbed a pan, "How do you like your eggs?" she asked.
"Scrambled." Dash said.
Evelyn made the eggs and had them served within the span of a few minutes. Later, she was just sitting in the living room when Dash came in.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Um, would you play video games with me?" Dash asked.
"Such technological wastes aren't worth my time." Evelyn said.
"All right." Dash said before he went to play video games alone.
"I guess that means you're chicken, then." Dash said.
"What?!" Evelyn asked.
"Chicken." Dash said before he walked off.
"Okay, then, show me this game of yours." Evelyn said as she followed him to his room and saw he was playing Injustice.
"This?!" Evelyn asked, not seeing the challenge in a typical fighting game.
"Yeah." Dash said.
"This'll be easy. Prepare to go down in defeat." Evelyn said before she grabbed a controller and they picked characters.
The match was Batman VS Harley Quinn. Batman landed the first hit, only for Harley to fight back and take down a good portion of the health bar. Batman recovered and landed many rapid-fire attacks, with Harley mirroring. The fight went on for a few minutes until they were at ¾ of their second health bar. Suddenly, Batman flashed before he hit Harley with a heavy attack, taking the last of her health.
"Oh, yeah!" Dash said.
"I demand a rematch!" Evelyn said. The matches went on for nearly two hours, with Dash winning a lot of the fights, but Evelyn winning some as well.
When it was lunchtime, Dash asked Evelyn, "Will you take me to McDonald's?"
"Why should I?" Evelyn asked.
"One, I'm hungry, and two, I don't know how to cook." Dash said.
"Well, can't help you." Evelyn said as she walked to the couch and pulled out a magazine.
"Please?" Dash asked.
"No." Evelyn said. Dash walked away.
"Please?" Dash asked, moving from beside the couch..
"No." Evelyn said, pushing him back.
"Please?" Dash asked, from behind the couch.
"No." Evelyn said, pushing him back behind the couch.
"Please?" Dash asked.
"No." Evelyn said.
"Okay then." Dash said before he zipped around at super speed.
"Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please? Please?" he asked multiple times, which aggravated Evelyn. Finally, she put down the magazine.
"If I do, will you stop pestering me?" Evelyn asked.
"Yes." Dash said.
After a quick drive, Dash had McDonald's.
Later, the others were back.
"How was today?" Helen asked.
"Okay." Dash said.
"Dash wasn't too much trouble, was he?" Helen asked.
"No, I don't suppose." Evelyn said.
