Sorry it took so long guys, but at the authors note said, a lot has happened. Now, this chapter was supposed to be the next day, but I can't think of much to write, so instead I'm going to skip forward a month to thanksgiving and have flash backs. Still, I hope everyone enjoys it and understands that I'm gonna have to have time skips, as I need to progress the story. Still, I will explain what happens between those time skips, I promise, and next chapter will show Christine playing soccer.

By the way, I noticed I put two different dates for Katherine's birthday. Her birthday is in January.

Christine's POV

It was hard to believe that so much had happened since Halloween, and it was now the 23rd of November A.K.A Thanksgiving. I'm not going to say that the weeks leading up to this holiday were easy, but life wasn't a walk in the park. There were always bumps in the road, and we all knew that all too well. I'd been dealing with everything that had happened by talking with Mom and Dad, Michael and Sweets. Dad had been mad at Sweets for not telling him what was going on in the beginning – seriously, I had overheard the conversation between the two of them.

Flashback

I started down the stairs to go and get a drink from the kitchen when I realized that Dad was talking to someone in the kitchen. I knew it couldn't be Mom, as she was at work until before dinner, and it was lunch right now. I hadn't heard anyone arrive, but then again, I'd been listening to music on my sound system and singing along to it as I drew in my sketch book, so I wouldn't have. The music was still playing upstairs, which was why Dad hadn't realized I'd come down.

"Sweets, why didn't you tell me what was happening with Christine?" Dad asked. Oh, why'd this have to be the topic of conversation.

"I have a responsibility not to tell you Booth." Sweets replied.

"She's underage Sweets. You're not even supposed to talk to her without family present." Dad said, and technically he was right, but I hadn't gone to talk to Sweets when he was working.

"That's why Christine came to my apartment to talk to me, as family. Daisy and the twins left so we could talk about it – she wanted to talk to me since I'm like an uncle to her and because I'm a psychologist." Sweets said. It was true too: I had chosen to talk to Sweets because we were like family – I used to call him Uncle Sweets all the time when I was young, and called Daisy my Aunt, and I still did now at times. "She wanted to talk to you Booth, you and Brennan, but she wasn't sure how to. She knows you two have gone through your own share of traumatic events, so she didn't want to add to it."

I could hear Dad sigh. "I always wanted her to be considerate of peoples' feelings, but I didn't want her to avoid telling me what was happening." Now I felt a little bad.

"She just didn't want to worry you again Booth. So much has happened this year, she just wanted to try and deal with this herself." Sweets said and I turned on my heel, deciding to just let them talk by themselves. I could get a drink later.

Flashback end

I had never told Dad that I'd heard the conversation, and I was never going to. Eavesdropping isn't really a good thing to be caught out on.

Also, I'd pretty much gotten my head ripped off by Kate when she'd found out. She was pretty scary when she was pissed normally, but add pregnancy hormones to that and you have one scary and deadly teen on your hands. I had been told that if I ever lied to her about that sort of stuff again, she'd make my life a living hell, and I believed her.

Right now, I was dressed blue jeans, a brown elbow length top, brown boots and had my hair half up/half down. We had just arrived at Angela and Hodgins place for thanksgiving, as our families were celebrating together this year. Parker and Grandpa Max were with us too, which I was happy about. Grandpa Max was getting older, he even had a pace maker now, so I wanted to spend as much time with him as I could and so did Mom. As for Parker, I didn't spend enough time with him lately, and that was sad. I hadn't gotten to spend a lot of time with him when he was in London when I was younger.

"So, what do you think?" Parker asked as we walked up the path, while I kept reading his book on my tablet. He had studied writing and Literacy in college and in high school, and he was a great writer.

"It's great, I love it. I'll read the rest of it when I get home tonight." I said, before turning off my tablet and putting it back in my bag. "I never have been able to understand why you chose to work for the F.B.I, especially when this was what you loved in high school and college, and still love."

"It's just something I decided I wanted to do." He said. "I saw how much it meant to Dad growing up, and I could instantly see myself doing the same thing. Mom wasn't happy, but it was what I wanted. Plus, I can still write."

"You better keep writing, or else I'm gonna' get mad with you." I said, because someone who can write like Parker can should never give up. I wasn't bad at writing either, but I was sure that our feelings about it were different. "By the way, if I have time, I'll look at your laptop when we get back tonight. I should be able to fix whatever's wrong."

He wrapped an arm around my shoulder, kissing the side of my head. "Thanks sis, I'm smart, but I had no idea what's wrong with it. I'm glad my sisters a computer nerd." He said and I smiled. "You're okay with me calling you a nerd right."

"I don't mind." I said as we walked into the dining room.

"Well that's insulting, I have to call you a hot nerd for you not to get mad with me." Michael said and I dropped my bag in the corner, before I went over to him and wrapped my hands around his shoulders.

"But you're my boyfriend, meaning there's certain things I do with you and no one else." I said, before getting onto my toes and kissing him on the lips, which his when he placed his hands on the small of my back. "Like that."

He pulled me closer, smiling. "Well, I'd hope I'm the only one you do that with." He said, which made me laugh before he kissed me again.

"Well this isn't a site I thought I'd see." I heard someone say and we pulled apart to see Michael's grandfather standing.

"Hey Gramps." Michael said, pulling away from me and heading over to hug his grandfather. "Sorry about that."

"No problems kiddo. Not gonna' get in the way of you love." He said and he smiled at me.

"Grandpa." Katherine said and she ran past me, running over to him and hugging him tightly.

"There's my little angel." He said as Michael came back over to me.

"Michael and Christine, can you two set the table for me?" Angela said and we both nodded.

Dinner was going extremely well. I was really enjoying the food and having our two families together, mainly because it was nice to see how well our families got along with each other. We'd grown up together, meaning members of our families had met before, and that made being together easier. There were no awkward family moments, at least not now – I'd say that being afraid my brother and father would shoot Michael an awkward moment. It's why we took so long to tell them. Plus, dinner was absolutely delicious.

"So, you two, how's school been going?" Grandpa asked me and I sighed.

"Pretty much the same way school always goes. I'm enjoying my classes, mostly, and I'm really enjoying learning Japanese. Plus, my soccer team has been doing really well. We may even win the championship this year, I mean we only have a couple of games left until then." I said, because I had been enjoying school a little more lately. I wasn't as tense there as I used to be, but since Michael was with me most of the time, that wasn't surprising.

"I have to agree. Schools not the same since I quit football, but I'm looking forward to playing basketball and to be honest, I don't miss it as much as I thought I would." Michael said and I smiled. To be honest, I didn't miss him getting tackled either.

"And what about music? Angie tells me you're talented Michael." His grandfather said and I had to smile.

"Yeah, I'm pretty good at singing, but I also play guitar, both electric and acoustic, and drums. Christine's better at singing then me, and she can play electric and acoustic guitar, but she plays piano as well. It's fair to say that we are both talented when it comes to music." Michael explained and I felt like I was going to blush, but I did my best not to.

"Well, then why don't you two show us after dinner? I wouldn't mind hearing my granddaughter sing for the first time." My grandfather said and I looked at Michael, who smiled, before looking back at them.

"As long as you guys don't mind a duet, I think we can pull it off. The song suits us too." Michael said and I instantly realized what song he wanted us to sing, which made me smile.

"Well, not exactly my type of music, but I can get on board if it's my grandson singing." Michael's grandfather said and Katherine smiled.

"They're really good Grandpa – they used to sing for me all the time and sing karaoke with me whenever I asked." Katherine said and I rolled my eyes. I had not wanted to remember that too much, because Katherine used to make me sing some really childish songs, though I hadn't minded singing Disney songs.

"I have so many Disney songs memorized because of you Katherine." I said and she smiled.

"I know, and I love it." She replied and I rolled my eyes to myself, looking out of the corner of my eye to see Michael smiling. "So, what song are you two going to sing?"

"Not telling. You'll have to wait and see sis." Michael said and Katherine pouted, which made all of us start to laugh. It really was nice, having Michael's family celebrating Thanksgiving with mine, especially since Parker and Grandpa weren't normally with us, and neither was Michael's grandpa.

Michael and I stood in the lounge room, Michael now holding his guitar. He was quickly checking to make sure that it was tuned. I was a little nervous about singing in front of them, but I wasn't gonna' let that stop me.

"Ready?" Michael asked me and I nodded, which is when he started playing. Our families were sitting on the couches and chairs. (A/N The song is called "Lucky" and I'm using the version from glee, if you guys wanna' listen to it. I'm a fan of glee, and you'll be seeing another song soon.)

Michael: Do you hear me?
I'm talking to you
Across the water
Across the deep
Blue ocean
Under the open sky,
Oh my
Baby I'm trying

Christine: Boy I hear you
In my dreams
I feel you whisper
Across the sea
I keep you with me
In my heart
You make it easier
When life gets hard

Christine and Michael: Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooh ooh ooh

Christine (Michael): They don't know how long it takes (They don't know how long it takes)

Christine and Michael: Waiting for a love like this

Christine (Michael): Every time we say goodbye (Every time we say goodbye)

Christine and Michael: I wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you
I promise you,
I will

Michael: I, I, I!

Christine and Michael: I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday

Michael (with Christine): And so I'm sailing
Through the sea
(To an island where we'll meet)
You'll hear the music
Fill the air'
I'll put a (flower)
In your hair

Christine: Though the breezes
Through the trees
Move so pretty
You're all I see
As the world keeps
Spinning 'round
You hold me
Right here, right now

Christine and Michael: Lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love in every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh, ooh

As Michael and I finished singing, having been standing and swaying as we sung, I smiled at him. That song was pretty much perfect for the two of us, as we were best friends and in love. Well, I guess we couldn't really call each other best friends now that we were dating, but we had once been and we'd been best friends and in love with each other before we'd gotten together.

"That song was pretty much perfect for the two of you, and you sung it so well." Angela said and I blushed lightly.

"It's nice to hear you finally sing sis. I thought Dad was going overboard when he told me how good you were, but he wasn't." Parker said and I smiled at him.

"You have to promise to have a jam session with your gramps one day Michael." His grandfather said and Michael grinned. He might not like his grandfather's taste in names, but he loved his grandfather and his taste in music.

"You got it Gramps." Michael said and all I could do was smile.

Today had been the first time that I had seen Michael act completely like his old self. Even as he went over to Katherine and started showing her where to hold as he played the guitar, I knew that he was finally moving past Darius' death, like we all were. It wasn't like we were going to forget him or stop loving him, but we were finally learning to cope with what happened to him. Kate was going to take longer to move on, but that was understandable. As for me, I was also learning to move forward without forgetting him, as well as learning to cope with what happened to me. Just 'cause someone's gone, doesn't mean they leave your heart.

I sat on my bed, working on Parker's computer. Somehow, don't ask me how, he'd gotten a virus on it, despite having protection. I'd already managed to get rid of the virus, after having safely backed everything up, and now I was just making sure everything was fine.

We'd gotten home from dinner about two hours ago and I'd been working non-stop on this computer. Still, I'd enjoyed myself a lot at Michael's house tonight – I think it's the most fun I'd had in ages, despite celebrating Halloween not too long ago.

"So, did you work out what was wrong with it?" Parker asked as he came into my room and I nodded as he sat down on the edge of my bed.

"You had a virus, though how, I have no idea. I copied all your important files over, wiped the virus from your computer and now I'm installing a better virus protection program and programming in a new firewall. After that's done, I'll reinstall the programs that were uninstalled and copy all your files back onto the computer, though I suggest you keep copies on the portable hard-drive, just in case the backup server goes down." I explained and all he could do is blink. "It's probably best if you leave to computer with me tonight when you go home, or you can stay and sleep on the couch since Grandpa is sleeping in the spare bedroom."

"Okay, I don't know nearly as much as you do when it comes to computers, but how did you do that in two hours? How do you know any of this to begin with?" Parker asked and I shrugged. Sure, it would probably take a normal person hours upon hours to do this, but this was what I was good at.

"It's just what I'm good at. It'll take me another hour or two to finish, but I'd rather get this done tonight, so I don't mind staying up late." I said and he sighed.

"It sometimes scares me how smart you are, and annoys me." Parker said and I looked up from what I was doing, smiling at him.

"I'm already aware of that Parker." I said and he sighed again, before looking at me seriously.

"Can you hack into things?" He asked and I laughed.

"Parker, I've had to hack into my own laptop so many times because Michael kept changing my password, it's not funny." I admitted and he smiled. "I ended up making a decryption key and placed it on a USB drive, mainly so I didn't have to do it manually all the time, but now that we're dating, Michael doesn't change my password, so I've never had to use it."

He looked serious again. "Can you use it to decrypt anything?" He asked and I shrugged.

"Some things, but nothing heavily protected." I said, and then I realized what he was getting at. "I'm not a hacktivist Parker, I'd never hack into something I'm not allowed to."

He flopped back. "I know that sis, it's just a bit surprising that you're that good with computers. Does Bones and Dad know you made a decryption key?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No, but that's 'cause I don't really talk about computer stuff. Dad's a Luddite and doesn't really enjoy technology that much, excluding his phone and the T.V and Mom's more interested in murders and ancient bones." I said and he nodded. "Besides, I only made the thing because it was beginning to annoy me, having to hack into my computer all the time. I really have no use for the thing now though."

He sat back up and got up, before coming over to me and ruffling my hair. "You really are amazing sis." He said, before yawning. "I'm gonna' head home for tonight and I'll come back to get my laptop tomorrow."

"Alright, drive safe." I said and he nodded.

"Just don't stay up too late. I don't want Dad to get mad at me for keeping you up." He said and I smiled at him.

"Don't worry." I promised and he smiled before he left my room, closing my bedroom door behind him. I wouldn't stay up too late, but I was finishing this computer tonight, I was then going to tell Parker that he'd need a new one soon enough, not that he'd listen to me.

It is literally 2:46 AM in Australia right now, but I wanted to finish writing this chapter and finally put it up. Hope you guys enjoyed, but I'm off to bed now. It's annoying how I can write more when it's later - I'll never understand that.
