On April the 1st, 2019, the Earth was destroyed in a cataclysmic event. Billions of people were wiped out in a matter of minutes. Ironically, the six survivors of the apocalypse were the very siblings (and a friend) who brought it on.
"Hold on! It's gonna get messy!" he yelled. Ris opened her eyes, her eyes meeting younger youth filled ones. Five looked at his siblings, he turned to Ris. She gripped his hand. "Ready?!"
Screaming, that was all she could hear, air rushed by her ears like she had been thrown into a hurricane. She gripped Five and Diego's hands tighter, an odd pull entering her system.
The load was getting lighter, as to her horror their hands started to loosen.
"Hold on! Hold on!" Five shouted, or he had, or maybe he was going to. It was strange, everything seemed so slow and fast all at the same time. Everything was rushing past her, thoughts, memories. Her hand started to slip. "Hold on!"
Diego was clinging to her hand, but she could feel hers slowly slipping away. "Ris!"
"Ris!"
She could feel Five's hand squeezing hers, but the pull was strong, the load go lighter as some else was swept away. "Luther!" someone yelled, at least she thought someone did, words were flying, anything she heard was not to be trusted. "Hold on!"
"Hold on!"
She couldn't, her fingers slipped. "Ris!"
She was falling much faster now, before she could even register what was going on, she fell hard onto solid ground. The blue time-traveling light illuminating the sky, it started to flicker. "Hey! Hey! Come-"
"-back." she mumbled, as the light vanished, leaving a clear bright morning light as the dawn started to break. Wincing in pain, as she pulled herself up. "Five! Diego! Vanya!" she shouted, looking around the alleyway. "Ow!" Ris cried, as a sharp zap stung her on her wrist. Looking down at her wrist, her watch was smoking the face of the clock cracked.
"Crap," Ris muttered, pulling off the watch; tucking it into her pocket. Sighing to herself, Ris looked up; spotting the silhouette of a man hastily closing his curtains.
Taking a few steps backwards, Ris spotted a camera and an unusual amount of satellite dishes and equipment on one roof. "Okay." she mumbled, walking towards the door.

"That'll do." she said, spacial-jumping forward; and landing. On the ground. Flat on her face. Because she couldn't do that anymore.
She forgot. "Owwww," she moaned, peeling herself off the floor, feeling her face. "Why me…just why?"
Trying the door; finding locked, obviously. Ris decided to case the area, soon finding an open window on the second floor, which she could climb through.
Climbing up using the rain gutter; narrowly falling off due to a spider. Ris finally manged to crawl though the crack in the bedroom window. Landing silently onto a carpet. Ris slowly turned the handle of the door, entering what she guessed to be the kitchen and lounge.
Gliding her fingers over the kitchen table, Ris picked up a few letters. "Hello Elliott Gussman." she mumbled, tossing the letters down picking up his newspaper.
Ris walked into the lounge. Every wall was covered in newspaper clippings about a number of conspiracy theories, most of them about aliens.
"Well," she said taking in the room. "There are worse things." she said, flicking open the paper.

"Ugh. I hate the 60's." Ris grumbled, when something behind her crashed to the ground.
A light brown haired man, in a plaid shirt was staring at her holding the back end of a spoon at her like a weapon.
Ris sighed, arching the end of the paper, just enough so she could see him and he could see her eyes. "Well I don't see how that's going to do much."
