"What the hell?"

"Good morning, mellilla." Five said setting down his bag. Ris blinked staring at him as he walked across a large on his face. "What happened?" she asked, jumping up from the bed, watching him like a meerkat.

"Nothing. Had a lovely walk." Five said, unzipping it; pulling out some things he manged to salvage.

"Okay." Ris said, slowly sliding off the bed, slowly edging towards him. "You didn't happen to eat anything on that walk. Did ya?"

Five shook his head, hanging up his jacket. A grin still on his face. "No." he said, walking back handing her a book. "Got you this." he said, before pulling out a scarf. "And I got you this." he said, gently wrapping the scarf around Delores's head.

Ris nodded, trying to pretend like terror wasn't starting to seep in. "So your just…happy?" she asked timidly, walking behind him.

"Yeah. Oh!" Five said, finishing tying Delores's scarf; bumping into Ris who was directly behind him. Raising her hand to his forehead. "No fever…" she mumbled to herself, leaning closer to him, touching his neck. "No, you're good…"

"Are you alright?" Five asked, looking at her weirdly. "Me? I'm fine; worried about you. But I-Oh my god, are you drunk?" Ris cried, stepping back. "What no?!" Five cried. "I'm fine—just fine."

"You sure? You just not usually this—peppy. And it's morning." Ris sais doubtfully. "You hate morning and nights…and days."

"Yes, Rissa. I'm fine." Five said gently, smiling. God, she was not used to him smiling this much. This was freaky as hell. For a split second she expected the sky to open up and a giant blue box come crashing to the ground; with a person called the Doctor inside.

That was definitely more believable then the smile that was on his face.

"Alright," Ris said easing off, jumping on their 'couch with her new book. Flipping through the pages, pausing suddenly shooting up. "Mellilla?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's Latin." Five answered, brushing some hair out of his eyes. "For what?"

Five gave her a cheeky grin, shrugging as he picked up his bag walking down the 'passage'.

Ris poked her head up, furrowing her eyebrows at the word.

"Five! What's Mellilla?"

"What the hell?" Ris breathed out staring at the contents in the box.

It was a puppy.
An actual puppy.

No older than maybe a month or two.
A tiny little puppy, maybe the size of her hand.

A small fluffy ball, with golden brown fur and pretty deep blue eyes; with little specks of brown inside them. Puppy.

"Aww!" Klaus cooed, squatting down instantly "Its sooo cute!"

Ris could only stare, the little puppy looking up at her, jumping up to the edge of the box eager to get out.

Ris bit her lower lip, spotting a little note stuck to the side of the box. Gently pulling on the note; the puppy going crazy when he saw her hand. Giving it a light pat (even if it could be a deadly killer thing and she was a deadly killer assassin, she was not that cold-hearted to deny a cute puppy of a pat)

She ripped open the note.

Dear Clarissa,

I understand you seem to have made up your mind with my offer. Once again I implore you to reconsider. Nevertheless, I have enclosed a gift for you as apologises for what is to come.

As you might have guessed, I have sent out a Temporal Assassin to correct the timeline. They will strike soon; though I have instructed them to wait off until the 15th of 1962.

Hopefully in this time; you can re-assess my offer. If not; think the puppy as a final gift.

I remember you always wanted one.

With love,
A.J Carmichael

PS. I happen to believe Mr Pennycrumb is a wonderful name.

Ris shut her eyes. 'Mr Pennycrumb.'

"Mr. Pennycrumb." Ris said instantly. "Mr. Pennycrumb." Five repeated, before bursting out laughing. "What kind of name is that?" Ris rolled her eyes playfully.

"A badass one." she replied, with a smirk. Five's laughed ceased, though his smile remained. "Tell you what, when this is all over. I'll get you a dog." Ris smiled. "Really?"

Five nodded. "Really."

Ris sighed, crushing the letter in her hands.

'They didn't have long.' Ris thought to herself, setting the dogs bowl of food onto the floor. The bowl seemed big in comparison to the puppy. So to be safe, she took a seat on the couch, watching him. Klaus had left a few hours ago, having to deal with something.

She didn't mind though, she was busy too. She still had to figure out who was going to attempt to kill them and the whole Majestic Twelve business. Not to mention she still needed a name for her new puppy.

After all Mr Pennycrumb was definitely off the table, it would just be her playing into that viper; AJ Carmichael's hand. Besides, he didn't seem like a Mr Pennycrumb.

"Name, name, name…" she mumbled to herself. "What to call you…"

Her eyes lit up, a wicked idea sparking in her mind. "Hey, puppy." She said, the dog looking up at her. "How'd you like the name Quinque?" she asked.

The puppy barked, Ris grinned. "Hello, there Quinque."

4 weeks, 2 days, 16 minutes, 23 seconds and 29.2 nanoseconds later….

"Oh my god, Klaus you are such a slut!" Ris cried, sipping her juice shaking her head at him. "What, just cause-"

"Klaus, you can't sleep with the wife, the husband and the sister and not be shocked that they throw you out. It's just—people don't work like that. Tell him Ben." Ris said, gesturing vigorously to the Ben.

Her power had returned to her, a few weeks ago; in fact about a day after Quinque had been left at her doorstep.

Spatial-jumping, telekinesis, Allison's rumouring, Luther's strength, Diego's weird knife thing, sound manipulation, seeing and summoning the dead (boy was she freaked when that kicked in) along with a cool new thing, she found out she could do.

Now Ris wasn't like the Umbrella Academy kids. No one gave her what you would call proper training and whatever she had learned about her powers were limited and lacking.

But to some degree, she found out that when she would mimic a power, she could deplete or dampen the original owner's power if she wanted to and attempted too.

Which she was still working on, but live and learn.

She had also lost all her other pervious abilities she had gained from the children at the Lab, but she never really used them that much. So it wasn't really a total loss.

"Oh, he's doing it again!" Klaus cried Ris flicked her finger lazily, making the blanket that Quinque was chewing jump up.

The puppy instantly walked away, jumping on the coffee table Ris was standing on. "Bad Quinque, you know you're not meant to chew things." she scolded.

Turning to Klaus and Ben, taking another long sip of her drink. "So, when you leaving?"

Most of the house, was packed up. Sheets covering the furniture and all the bright colours leaving the now dull wall. It was almost like the house was crying.

"Tomorrow." Ben said, sitting next to her. "The rest already made their way to San Francisco already, we're the last to go because—

"Their clingy shits." Klaus added, swinging his legs up on his couch. Ris nodded, shooting Ben a wink. "Sound real eager to go Benny-boo. Sure it has nothing to do with dear dear, Jillie?"

"Who?" Klaus droned out. Ben throwing a pillow at her; Ris giggled, hugging the pillow to her chest. "Benny-boo girrrlllfriend." Ris sang.

"Oh my god, are you high?!" Ben cried, shaking his head at her. Ris threw a pillow at him. "Rude! Besides, if one of us is gonna get high it'll be Klaus."

"Rude!" Klaus said, tossing a pillow at her. "I'll have you know, I'm been clean and sober for almost two years now."

"And that is bloody brilliant!" Ris said, clinking her juice with Klaus's. "Besides, the only high I get is the joy of bathing the in blood of my enemies."

Klaus and Ben laughed, Ben pausing suddenly. "You're kidding, right?"

Ris shrugged, her smile mischievous cheeky. The kind where you didn't entirely know if she was kidding or not.

The doorbell rang making the weird, monkey scream, a woman's laughter, giraffe fart noise. "What the hell is that?" Ris mumbled, as they pulled themselves off the couch, table, floor and coffee tables.

"Oh! Hi!" Ris greeted, smiling cheerfully. The postman nodded, handing her a newspaper. "Here to pick up a package to deliver for Clarissa Alpin and give you this."

"Great, I'll just go get it." Ris said, walking back inside, Klaus and Ben following her like tiny baby ducks.

Heaving a big brown box onto the table, setting the newspaper down. Showing off the headline:

FAMOUS SCIENTIST LABS BURN TO THE GROUND
A latest in bad luck for the brilliant Dr Alpin

"Oh, damn I forgot to tape it," Ris grumbled, biting her lower lip. "Still got some tape?"

"Bottom drawer on the right in the kitchen." Ben said instantly. Ris nodded. "Be right back, don't open it." she said, disappearing down the hall.

Klaus hovered on the edges of the box, fingering them. "No."
"But-
"No." Ben replied, shaking his head at him.

"Found it!" Ris said, waving the tape victoriously. Reopening the box, to close it properly, Ben and Klaus letting out screams of shock when they spotted the contents inside. "This is why I didn't want you to open it, when I wasn't here, you're guys are so squeamish."

"Tha-That's a heads!" Klaus cried pointing to the box. "Yep," Ris answered calmly. "What's the red stuff?" Ben asked, looking over her shoulder awkwardly.

"Tissue, blood, a finger and I think a remains of an organ." she said, taping the box shut. "Why are you sending heads?" Klaus whisper-yelled.

"Long story, short story; I found the Commission assassins, and now, I'm sending them back." Ris said, shaking the box, opening the door handing it to the postman.

"Don't worry about the date; it's meant to be that way." she said, smiling at him. "Bye now." she said, slamming the door shut; turning back to the boys.

"They sent you a puppy…" Klaus started. "And I sent them severed heads." Ris finished.

"Why would you do that?" Ben asked tiredly, rubbing his forehead. Ris shrugged, running a finger thought her hair. "Someone needs to middle-finger the Commission, now and again. Why not me?"

The Commission.

"Oh, Clarissa." Carmichael sighed, staring at the contents on his desk. Picking up the paper that was stuck to one of his temporal-assassin's middle-finger.

I am done being a slave.
Have fun, cleaning this up!

"You really have done it this time."
