Bwa ha- I made Lee timid! I made Lee timid! Go me!

----

There she was. Right across from me. Smiling, and waving around a chicken leg, while talking with food in her mouth.

Most people would find this crude. But I couldn't take my eyes away from her.

Who are you kidding Lee? She'd never go for you. Besides she's with… what's his name? Oh yeah. Davies. Stupid, no good prat.

"Hmm?" Someone was calling me.

"I asked," she said, still waving that wing, "if you'd mention how much better Gryffindor players are than Ravenclaw in your commentary this Friday."

I smiled. "Always manage too."

Then she smiled back at me, and the world was alright.

----

"And that's another mistake for Ravenclaw. Honestly, you'd think for a team so smart, they could hold onto a small red ball…"

"Jordan!"

"Sorry Professor. Gryffindor has the quaffle, and they're killing Ravenclaw on the pitch."

"Jordan!"

"But it's true! I mean, that bludger from George –or, I think it was George- hit Davies pretty hard."

"JORDAN! Get back to the game."

----

"Lee, we won, we won!" She'd been screaming that ever since she landed her broom.

"I know. I was commentating." I couldn't resist being a bit dryly humoured.

But she didn't care. She jumped over (literally) and hugged me.

She hugged me!

----

"Lee, d'you know if the twins spiked the punch?"

"No." I answered her truthfully, and made room for her to sit on the couch.

"No you don't know, or no they didn't?" She sat.

"No they didn't. I did."

"Lee!" She hit me playfully. "There are first years drinking that!"

I grinned. "Then they should realize it tastes wrong and walk away like the innocent little doves they are."

She hit me again.

"Can we stop hitting me now?"

"Only if I get to do something different." She'd moved closer to me on the couch, and I have to admit, I didn't mind.

"And what would that be?"

And I will never, ever forget the next moment, when she leaned in and kissed me.

Kissed me!

And as we parted, she smiled innocently.

"I love you, Lee."

"I love you too, Katie."
