Ris blinked, blurred images. Blobs of green, white and black, spotting her vision. Ris pulled herself up, her ears ringing on her harsh impact into the snow.

"Rissie!" came a voice, grabbing her shoulder's giving her a shake. She was tilting, like a top, but the thin black blur, held on to her tightly, giving her the support. "Klaus?" Ris said, her voice sounding rather far off.

"Y-ou ok-ay?" his words slurred. Ris blinked, her vison focusing. "Klaus." she said, holding onto his hands, trying to steady herself. "Yeah, yeah, I'm okay." she mumbled, Klaus pulling her into hug.

"You okay?" Ris mumbled, straightening up. "Define, okay." Klaus panted. Ris nodding. "Fair enough." Ris said.

"Allison, help! Luther!"

"What the hell was that?" Klaus asked. "A copycat bitch." Ris hissed.

"Help!" yelled a voice. Klaus and Ris glanced at each other, sharing equal looks. "Diego."

"Diego!" Ris shouted, running towards his voice, the snow crunching hard under her shoes. His leg was half crushed underneath the tractor that had once been their savior.

"Vanya! Help! Come on, man! Hey!"

"Diego!" Ris said, lowering her voice, skidding to a halt next to Klaus, Luther, Allison and Vanya soon joining them. "We can hear you, we're all here. Stop yelling." she chided, glancing at the tractor.

"What took you so long?" Diego half-yelled. "Well, we're here now. Do you wanna stop complaining?" Luther said, taking one end of the tractor.

"Or we could just leave you here." Klaus suggested. "What he said." Allison said smartly. "Does everything in this family have to be a discussion?" Vanya moaned.

"Kids, quiet." Ris snapped, standing up. "Okay, nothing looks broken or anything. Lift slowly." Ris instructed to Luther. Luther nodded, grunting as he gently lifted the tractor, Klaus helping him; Allison and Ris helping Diego pull his leg out.

"Nice and easy."
"Go, go, go, go!"

"Are you out?" Luther groaned. "Yeah!" Diego called; Luther setting the tractor down with a grunt. "Team Zero! Unstoppable." Diego said, high-fiving Luther as he staggered to his feet like a newborn baby deer.

"All right." Luther sighed, Diego high-fiving his fist awkwardly. "Uh...Okay, has anyone seen Five?" Allison said, glancing back at the house.

"I don't know, he's around somewhere." Luther said, glancing at Diego. "By the way, your ex-girlfriend can blink like Five."

"Yeah, that bitch just rumoured me so I couldn't breathe." Allison put in. "And destroyed, like, half the farm with a shock wave. So unoriginal." Klaus said. "If she can do everything we can, she might as well just be one of us." Vanya added.

Luther chuckled. "Yeah." His face fell. "No. No, there's no way. It can't be."

"It's like the only possible conclusion, she copies what you can do. Only thing is, we don't know her limit or the extent of her power." Ris mused.

"Eh, but there were only seven of us." Klaus said. Ris glancing between the weirded out Hargreeves siblings. "What you on about?"

"Maybe we need to consider that there's more." Vanya said.

"Are we surprised? Dad never told us the whole truth about anything."

"But she's not our biological sister...right?"

"No! What the hell is wrong with you? You guys do realise I'm one of the 43 children, I have told there are more and that you all are technically not related to each other right?" Ris said, glancing around the groups blanked faces.

"But you're from the future so…" Klaus started. "You gotta be fu-flipping," Ris said, changing mid-way at Luther's scandalised face. "-kidding me."

"Okay, so, if she can mirror our powers, that means anything we throw at her, she can match, right?" Luther theorised.

"Yeah, but she can only mirror one of our powers at a time." Klaus said surely. "You sure about that?" Allison asked.

Ris sighed, as the group launching into another argument, the sound of something in the distance making her head shoot up.

"Hey!" Ris said, the group falling quiet instantly. "I think I know where they are."

"Cause you're one of us." Diego said, cautiously walking into the barn; Lila whipped around, knife in hand, with a slightly bloodied lip. Five behind her, looking as sweaty and awful as he had a couple days ago.

"The Handler stole you, Lila. Just like our asshole father took all of us." Diego said; Ris following Vanya next to her, catching eyes with Five. 'Okay?' she mouthed.

"No. It's not the same thing."

Five nodded his head. Ris gave a small incline of her head back.

"You're right. Because he didn't have our parents murdered. Listen to me, Lila. You were born October 1, 1989, the same day as all of us."

"Stay back!" Lila screamed.

The Hargreeves and Ris, circling her cautiously. If they got the chance to take her down, they needed to take it.

"Hey! Hey, stop! Wait. Wait. Hey!" Diego said, the group staying in a circle around them, but giving them some space.

"Lila? Lila, stop."

"I trusted you." she choked out angrily. "I got you a job, I even introduced you to my mother, and then you took off on me."

"Because I needed to save the world!" Diego said, taking a deep breath. "She's using you, Lila. The Handler."

"You're wrong. She raised me." Lila said firmly. "She loves me."

"Yeah, you know what?" Luther said from Diego's left. "Love shouldn't have to hurt this much."

Lila stared at him for a few seconds, Ris wondering if by some miracle he'd gotten through to her.

Lila took a breath, before pretended to gag loudly, making Ris roll her eye. "Classy."

"All right, I tried." Luther said glumly. "He's right. We have to kill her." Five said, making a move to Lila, being cut off by Diego's yell of: "Hey! Five!"

"Five, stop." Diego said turning back to Lila. "I got it."

Five made another motion, Ris sliding forwards, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Let him play this out." she whispered into his ear. Five lowering his arms, still glowering at the woman.

"Hey, Lila. Truth? She's dangerous. And you're scared of what she'll do with all that new power. That's why you dragged me to the Commission. Because I know what it's like to love dangerous people." Diego said, glancing at his family, stepping closer towards her. "Difference is...they love me back."

"Shut up." Lila hissed, the knife hovering over Diego's chest. "The only thing she loves is power." Diego said gently. "Now, the minute she can't use you, she will turn on you, and deep down, I know you know that."

"You don't know me, Diego." Lila whispered.

"Don't I?" Diego whispered back. "I know that we can be your family...if you just let us."

Lila sniffled, nodding slowly.

Ris smiled, squeezing Five's arm. Five glanced at her, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

It was over, and they were-

She didn't have a chance to finish her thought, the sound of bullets and instant darkness enveloping her.

"Diego, no..."

His ears were ringing. He could hear them. He could hear Lila's strange strangled sobs. She was trying to pull herself together to face the woman.

"Aww." The Handler cooed, the weight of the gun making her lean heavily to the side, her gun making a light clicking noise.

"It's true, what Five said, isn't it?" came a voice…Lila.

"Darling, I need to know that we can get past this, be a happy family again. Hmm?"

Ris. He forced his head to move. She was lying next to him, eyes shut. She looked peaceful. He would have mistaken her for sleeping if not for the pool of blood swirling around her from her chest.

"They're my real family." Lila replied. "Do you even love me?"

She made a move.
A couple gunshots ringing out.

Five forced his hand to move, touching the palm of her hand, before reaching her wrist. His body stung at the movement, but he needed…he needed to check...

"Que será, será."

She was dead.
Ris was dead.
They all were.

Five gasped softly, the rest of his body seeming to finally catching up with his slurred pain-ridden brain.

"Oh, good. You're still alive. Lucky you. You got to see how this all played out." The Handler said, pointing the gun at him.

Five stared back, keeping his eyes on the Handler. He wouldn't blink.

Time seemed to slow, seeming to decide to draw this out as possible.

He could see her finger tighten on the trigger-

Gunshots rang out.

The Handler gasped, freezing in place, turning around.

Instantly more gunshots ripped out, the woman tumbling to the floor. The gun slamming to the ground.

Slow footsteps. Walking towards him.

A man; one of the Swedes stood above him. The man stared, cocking the gun.

"This doesn't have to be the end. We use my ability to time travel." his voice echoed in his mind. "That's risky." Ris's voice chimed in.

The gun hovered, the man bringing it closer as if not wanting even the chance to miss.

"You're the genius who said we should jump. Right? You're the one who got us stuck here." Luther snapped not more than a few days ago.

Five coughed, the gun waving in the air ever so slightly.

"Maybe your appetite is disproportionate to the size of your abilities." His father's voice said gently. "Start small. Seconds, not decades."

A blue surge of power flew though his body, coursing though his veins. His hands lit up with his blue pulsing energy, effulging his body.

The Swede moved back, his footsteps moving in reverse. The Handler shot up, the sounds of her bullet wounds closing; blood returning. It was like someone had been fast-forwarding a movie backwards. Lila shot up next. Five felt his body wake up, the pain dimming, his mind clearing.

He forced himself up, the blue pulsing light enveloping his body as he ran, shining brighter still. His sibling's and Ris returning to their previous positions, wounds closing, returning to their places. Turning back the clock, for just a few seconds.

Five gasped, reaching the end of the barn, feeling his chest as if checking if his organs were still present.

Looking up; there they were. Huddled in their circle around Lila and Diego. Ris, wonderful, alive Ris, suddenly glancing to her left, looking quite confused.

"I know that we can be your family, if you just let us."

Five saw her coming. Grabbing her gun arm, twisting the weapon out of her hands. The Handler gasped, dropping the case onto he ground.

Everyone jumping back, getting into defensive positions and whatever-the-hell Klaus was trying to do.

Five raised the gun, pointing it at her, the Handler raising her hands in surrender.

"It's true, isn't it? What Five said." Lila said glaring at her mother. Ris glancing at Five before at the Handler. The Handler glaring at Five from the corner of her eye, not answering her 'daughter'.

"Answer me! Is it true?" Lila yelled. The Handler looked at her. "Well..."

The Swede came out of nowhere, firing at the Handler, the woman gasping in shock, falling to the floor. Blood pooling out of her mouth.

Ris stared, wide-eyed, gasping in shock for a few seconds. His sibling seeming to follow in suit.

Lila glanced around, before suddenly making a move. "The case!" Luther and Ris shouted, the two making a run for it. "No!" Diego yelled, launching himself in Luther's path, Ris narrowing reaching Lila just as she vanished, stumbling to a halt.

"Damn." Ris mumbled, stepping back, standing in front of Luther and Diego.

The Swede edging forwards gun in hand. Five cocked the gun, stepped in front of Luther and Diego, standing Ris standing to his left.

The Swede raised the gun, pointing it towards Five. They stared, seeming to size each other up.

Five dropped the gun, the weapon landing on the hay with a thud. "Enough."

The Swede glanced around the room, meeting eyes with Ris who gave him a levelled look back.

"Tillräckligt." he said, dropping the gun to the floor, turning around. "Tack själv." Ris said softly. The Swede paused in the doorway, giving a small nod, before vanishing from site.

"Who the hell was that guy?" Klaus said, waving a hand to the door. "A Swede." Ris said sadly. "The last one."

"Vanya! Help!" came a scream from Sissy in the distance. "Harlan." Vanya said, running off.

"Shit, I forgot about that." Ris mumbled, giving Five a sheepish look. Five smirked, gently taking her arm as they jogged after Vanya.

The woman practically flying down the steps. "Sissy?" she called, running into the mini hurricane of sound surrounding Harlan.

Five, Ris and the other gathering around watching her. Vanya reached out, putting her hands on Harlan's knees. Glowing lights of energy suddenly being pulled into her.

Harlan let out a blast of energy, making the other wince as it washed over them, before vanishing into nothingness.

The barn went quiet. '

Harlan looking up, looking around innocently. Ris smiled, giving him a small wave as he looked over at them, before looking at his mother.

Sissy smiled running forwards, half sobbing as she hugged and kissed him. "Oh, baby. Oh, baby. Oh!" she mumbled, letting out a laugh of relief.

Vanya glanced back at them, Ris, Luther, Allison and Klaus smiling at her. Ris sighed, glanced at Five, giving him a light teasing nudge with her shoulder.

It was over.

For now.

"Hey," Ris said from the window, making Five, Diego and Klaus look up. Vanya and Sissy had gone into one of the bedrooms with Harlan to pack up. Luther and Allison taking quietly in the kitchen. "Look who's here."

Five leaned over her shoulder, Ris giving him a rather disapproving look at that (he only did it as a mild form of annoyance to remind her he was far taller and could literally lean over her as easily as anything)

"We should go say hi." Ris said, playfully swatting at Five, who jerked back making a face at her. "Coming?" she asked, turning to Diego. Diego got up from his place on the tattered sofa, glancing out the window. "Yeah."

"Where you guy's going?" Klaus whined, looking out the window, Allison and Luther turning their attention to them. "Greeting some old friends." Five said cryptically. Ris chuckled lightly, opening the door, Five and Diego following after her.

"Herb. Dot." Five greeted; the three meeting Herb and Dot half-way. Herb chuckled. "Hey."

"Hi." Dot said shyly. "Hi, Dot." Ris said gently. "How are you?"

Ris unlike Five was far more explorative of the Commission than him (something that earned another point of dislike from the Handler), meeting Dot on a few occasions. Herb was basically popular in the Commission, almost everyone knew him. You see, unlike Five, Ris did have basic social skills ages ago.

"Sup, Herbie!" Diego said with light excitement, he and Herb sharing a special high-five. "Hey! My man." Herb said, the two finishing with grins, Dot and Ris sharing looks.

"All good?" Diego asked. "Good to see you guys." Five said cordially.

Herb blew on his finger; he and Diego completing their handshake. Herb sighed. "I can't believe it. Is she...?"

"Kicked the bucket? Not of this world? Six feet under?" Ris said, nodding; Diego and Five giving her weird look. "Yep. Finally. We should throw a party. Or like a bar mitzvah sized funeral with cake. That's a wedding. We can't throw a wedding, no one's getting married. Maybe a party, a big one." Ris mused.

Dot chortled quietly.

Herb nodding, whispered a quiet "Oh."

"Now that the Handler's gone, what happens at Commission?" Five asked, in a very straight—to-business tone. Herb opened his mouth, making a range of strange noises without saying anything.

"Just tell them." Dot pushed. "Eh... Well...we need to elect a new board of directors." Herb started. "But, until then, I, um...I've been voted in as acting chairperson."

Dot squeaked softly, capping with joy.

"No shit. Congrats, Herbie. That's huge." Diego said supportively. "I can think of no one better." Ris added.

"I'm so goddamn nervous."

"You'll do fine." Five said, uncharacteristically supportive. "Oh, thank you." Herb gushed.

Five sighed, returning to his straight—to-business tone. "Herb, we need a favour."

Herb nodded. "Oh, sure, anything."

"A briefcase." Five said. "Get back home, where we belong."

Herb nodded, giving Five a finger gun, turning around at the dead Commission assassins. All of them with briefcases by their sides.

"Take your pick." Herb said happily, gesturing to the fallen assassins. "Ah." Five said in mild surprise. Ris snorted. "Wow, we're idiots. Hour and a half I've been staring out that damn window."

Herb sighed, adjusting his tie. "Well, that's all sorted out. Umm…Dot?"

"Oh, yes!" the woman said, rummaging in her bag, pulling out a small letter handing it to Ris. "For you. Confidential. Strictly your eyes only." Dot said, sending Five a look.

"Oh, thanks." Ris said, taking the letter turning it over in her hands. It was a small thing, with lopping slightly slanted handwriting that was oddly familiar.

"Right, we'll be off. See you soon." Dot said cheerfully. "Goodbye." Herb said, Dot taking his arm before they vanished.

"That was weird." Ris said, Five humming in agreement. Diego already making his way to the house, Five following after him.

Ris trailing back, ripping open the letter, her heart sinking as she read each word.

"Are you sure?" Five repeated. Ris sighed, adjusting her hold on the briefcase. "We've been over this for two hours, yes. I'm sure. I need to do this, it's important."

"Then tell me, what it is. So, you can let us help you!" Five half-yelled, turning around glancing back at the house, where all the Hargreeves and Sissy were staring out of at them. "Let me help you, please." he said lowering his voice.

She had already said her goodbyes, hugs and sweet words to Vanya, Allison and Klaus, so called 'manly' (as Luther and Diego insisted) fist pumps and last teases (Luther even let her tell her fat joke which he laughed (it was quite clever) at.) gentle goodbye's to Sissy and a soft wave to Harlan.

The only one who seemed adamant to hiss and spit at her was Five.

She didn't really mind though, she knew why.

Ris sighed, tucking some hair behind her ear, the wind simply blowing it about. The sun was setting. "You remember the sunsets?" Ris said suddenly, her eyes drawing to the flood of colour in the sky.

"What?"

"Do you remember the sunsets? In the apocalypse." Ris said softly. "Yeah," Five said following her gaze. "Whole sky would turn this deep red-"

"Little yellow swirls burst at the edges-"
"Blue beginning to reap up-"
"Purple would meet is, mix across-"
"Pour into the yellow-"
"Chase the red, swallow the yellow-"
"Darkness would just sweep across it-"

"Then the stars would come, light up the sky like these magic fireflies." Ris finished. "Still one of the beautiful things I'd ever seen."

Five looked at her, the sun shining on her making her hair look gold. "I've seen something that could top that."

Ris snorted. "Yeah, right." she said, suddenly feeling the weight of the briefcase. "I need to do this. It's…important, Five. I just…" Ris sighed. "I need you trust me-"

"I trust you more than anyone, Rissa." Five said instantly. Ris let out a breath, glancing back at the sunset, darkness was creeping. "I need to go." she whispered.

"Where you going?" Five asked. Ris sighed. "Where it all began, I'll head to the Commission, you guys leave, I'll miss any potential ripple and I'll meet you back in 2019. I'll see you in a minute."

"Minutes can be a long time." Five said quietly.

Ris nodded. "Right, enough dawdling." Ris said, setting the briefcase down, checking the co-ordinates.

"Everything in, so…I'm gonna-" Ris started; Five suddenly closing the distance between them, giving her a tight hug.

Ris smiled, hugging his back tightly. Ris licked her lips, now was as good a time as anything. "Five?"

"Hmm?" he said, his head bent low resting on her shoulder.

"You know…you know, I love you right?" she mumbled, feeling his pause almost. "I mean, you're my best friend, and-" she started.

"Yeah," Five said, cutting her off as he gently released her looking into her eyes. "You know I love you, right?"

Ris smiled. "Yeah," she whispered, squeezing his hands. "I do."

"So, do I."

Ris sighed, slipping her hands out of his, picking up the briefcase. "Well, I'll see you on the other side, partner." she said, clicking the briefcase on, before she vanished into thin air.

Five sighed, trying of ignore the deep rooted feeling of sudden loneliness and a tinge of regret of not telling her something more.

"Everyone ready?" Five said, typing in the co-ordinates. His sibling's gathering around him. "Let's do it, yeah." Diego said instantly.

Five nodded. "Okay." he said, everyone holding onto each other's shoulder. "Wait!" Klaus cried, running back to the porch on the railing, picking up a large black hat.

"Fifty bucks if we leave him here." Diego bargained. Klaus running back, sliding his finger across the rim of the hat before, reaching out taking Vanya's hand.

Five clicked the briefcase one, the blue light crackling slightly.

"I'll see you in a minute." Ris had said. 'She better be on time.' Five thought, as the briefcase crackled and they vanished.

Not knowing, what they were truly going home too.

Thoughts?
