That evening Robin didn't get to sneak out to see Regina as the castle was surrounded by guards. He wondered what was going on but didn't think too much of it as it was probably extra security because of the wedding. He hoped Regina wouldn't be disappointed that he didn't come to get her out like he had promised. He would try again the next morning.
It was the day of Zelena's 18th birthday and also the day of the cronation. Zelena hadn't slept since she was very worried about Regina. She had tried to warn Robin but Cora had kept a watchful eye on her the whole time. She needed to try again at the cronation.
All the guests had gathered in the throne room and Zelena was getting ready with Cora's help. "What did you do to Regina?" She asked as her mother tied her corset.
Cora rolled her eyes and helped Zelena into her dress. "It doesn't matter. You will walk into the throne room and you will be crowned queen. That's all that matters. " She answered and fixed Zelena's hair slightly. "I've waited so long for this moment and you won't ruin it for me." She reminded her daughter again and lifted her chin to make her look at her while she said this. She would win this time. No one would stand in her way.
Zelena got a very uneasy feeling. She hoped Regina wasn't hurt. She sighed as they went to the throne room and the young princess walked up to her father. The crown was placed on a red cushion and the mirror of truth had been brought in. She gzlped slightly.
"My dear. You look beautiful. Just like your mother." Leopold said happily as he took Zelena's hand. They walked over to the mirror and of course Zelena was declared the true heir as the mirror was fake. It had been created by Cora. The King smiled and took the crown, ready to crown Zelena.
"Stop!" Zelena said loudly. She couldn't let this happen. She needed to stop it.
Cora glared at Zelena. She couldn't believe her daughter was betraying her like that. After everything she had done.
Leopold frowned. "What's wrong, my dear. You are the rightful heir." He said confused and looked at Zelena.
The young red head shoke her head. "No, I'm not. I'm no princess. I'm not the rightful heir." She explained and took a deep breath before continuing. "I'm not your daughter. Your daughter is locked up in a tower in the woods. Cora is my mother. She switched me and Regina when Regina was born. Regina is the right princess." She told them all and the people in the room gasped.
Leopold was so confused right now. He looked at Cora and then back at Zelena and was completely shocked. He couldn't believe it. It couldn't be true. "No...it can't be...the mirror..." He trailed off.
"Is fake. Cora faked it to make me queen. She did all of this because she wanted me to be queen since she never got to be one. If the mirror was real I wouldn't be able to do this " she explained as she grabbed a glass and through it against the mirror, smashing it in the process.
Leopold gasped. So it was true. "So it's true..." He said shocked and got teary eyed. He looked at Cora, completely hurt and angry. "You! You did this. You lied to me this whole time. Where is my daughter?!" He demanded and walked over to her.
Cora smirked. "It doesn't matter. You won't ever find her. No one will. She is lost to you forever. " she told him. "Eva didn't deserve to be queen and neither does she." She growled.
Zelena couldn't believe this. "No, Mother. Bring us to Regina. This needs to stop right now. All the lies and the hate need to stop. Regina doesn't deserve this. This is her crown. Her birthday. Her kingdom. Her wedding. Robin loves Regina and they deserve to be happy. Please stop all this. There is still hope for you. But if you continue to hurt them you will be completely lost. And I really don't want to lose my mother. " she pleaded with Cora and took her hand as she got teary eyed. "Please do this for me. This is all I'll ever ask of you." She added.
Robin was also shocked as he listened to Zelena. He couldn't believe Regina was in danger because of their relationship. He should have gotten her out last night like he had promised. He had failed her. "What did you do to her?!" He demanded angrily.
Cora looked at Zelena, then at Robin and then at Leopold and Snow and sighed deeply. She knew she had lost. It was no use to lie anymore. Her plan had failed.
"Bring me to my daughter!" Leopold demanded again. He needed to find his daughter and protect her. He couldn't believe he never realized it. Zelena looked so much like Cora.
Snow held his hand and tried to calm her father though she was equally shocked. Her sister wasn't her sister. Her sister was out there somewhere and probably in danger.
"Fine. I'll bring you to her. " Cora said defeated and poofed the family and Robin to the tower.
Leopold gasped as he saw the tall tower in the woods. "She is in there?" He asked curiously.
"Yes. She is. And she is the kindest person I know. From what you told me she is just like Eva." Zelena told him. Regina was really the sweetest and kindest person she ever met and she really hoped Regina was okay.
Cora sighed and poofed up into the tower room with them.
Regina was sitting on the floor with her knees drawn up to her chest and her head rest of top of her knees as she was still sobbing and crying.
She looked up as she noticed her mother had poofed into the tower again and frowned as she saw the other people in the room.
