Yeah I saw KinG Kong! The firsr hour sucked though as there was no giant monkey! We all know why we're watching it even if you don't admit it you know. You're there to see the monkey. Now that my pointless babble about the monkey movie is over I'll respond to the reviews.
Reviews
Raging Lion: I'm a bit lazy about reviewing myself so it doesn't bug me. I'm also pleased to know that I shocked you with chapter four! I was going for that effect. Sachiko tackling Yoshino and talking all gheato, that's a weird yet entertaining image. As for how I do what I did in Ramen not even I know. I just write what I feel like.
Disclaimer: I don't own marimite
Tanabata
It was Tanabata the day the weaver princess Orihime and the cowhearder Hikoboshi could meet. Rei loved that story it was so sad and sweet at the same time. Yoshino on the other hand, didn't care one bit about the legend. She prefered other stories, ones that weren't so romantic and sappy. Overall you could say that Yoshino thought the legend was stupid and boring. So she wondered how her cousin could be so enchanted by some sappy love story about two literly star crossed lovers. There was an upside to this holiday that was focused entirely around a legend that Yoshino hated. She could spend the night with Rei at the festival.
So with this thought in mind she put on her zori, said goodbye to her parents, and walked out of the house to head next door. Yoshino let out an annoyed sigh. Kimono were so heavy and had so many layers. It was true that over the years they had gotten lighter, not because of lighter fabric but because of the removal of some of the layers of silk. Kimono were expensive too. Only those who extreamly rich could have new kimono. Everyone else had a hand-me-down. The fact that Yoshino's kimono had been worn by a large portion of her family didn't bug her much. It was the fact that they were so hard to walk in and put on.
First there came the torture of trying to put the under on robe followed by the robe and finally the task of putting on the obi. After you finished putting on the kimono, which you needed to take classes to learn how to do, your movements became restricted. So you had to sit a certain way, walk a certain way, etc. It was annoying not only having to deal with the weight of the kimono, but how you needed to move to prevent the obi from coming undone. Yoshino knew all too well what would happen if you sat any way you wanted. So after going through the hell of putting it on and walking to the door you have to put on zori. This made you increadibly unbalanced and you could often trip if you weren't careful. This too had happened to Yoshino which only made her hatred for the clothing grow.
Yoshino found she wouldn't have to walk to Rei's house. She was heading towards her cousin's house in her own kimono. Yoshino and Rei greeted each other and started off towards the festival. Yoshino looked at Rei who made walking in a kimono look easy. She continued to stare at her cousin in marvel. Yoshino's hand-me-down kimono was increadibly simple. Sakura designs here and there on the dark blue silk. Rei's ,however, was different. There was a dragon embroidered on her's. This probably added to everyone's beliefs that Rei was boyish and that Yoshino was a girly girl.
She hated the way everyone viewed her, but Yoshino decided not to let it bother her. Afterall she had her Rei-chan. The Rei she knew, the Rei that nobody but her and Yumi knew about. That's right she was Yoshino's Rei-chan and nobody would ever take her away. If they tried to then all Hell would be let loose, but so far nothing of the sort had happened. Rei if she she were to choose a koibito Yoshino would go to any length make sure it was her. Still being the tomboy she was, Yoshino would do it a way that seem odd in most people's eyes. Then again most people weren't Yoshino.
"Yoshino, what are you doing?" Rei asked staring at her mystified petite soeur. She looked at Yoshino some more waiting for a response. She didn't get one though. Rei just continued to watch Yoshino as she stared at her. Her face was red. Rei gave a sigh and stoped to shake her flustered cousin out of her world. "WHAT?" Yoshino looked at Rei who had a smile on her face ",What're you smiling at Rei-chan?" The older girl patted her her on the head ",Nothing really, just something I found interesting." The younger girl stared at her cousin, Rei could be confusing sometimes. "Are we going to go the fesitval or just stand here?" Rei asked looking at Yoshino's expression. "Hai." she smiled again as they continued to walk, Yoshino was curious as to what she was thinking.
They soon came upon the festival. As they walked up to it Yoshino's eyes widened. Because of her condition she had only been to a few festivals so they still fascinated her. Rei looked at her cousin who looked like a little kid. She sighed as she knew what was coming. Yoshino cheerfully ran off without a care in the world leaving the older girl behind. She soon tripped though and Rei laughed.
"It's not funny!" Yoshino said as she pouted. People were laughing at her even Rei. Her grande soeur walked over and held out her hand. Yoshino refused to take it though, it made her feel weak. Rei understood that she didn't want her image as the weak little Yoshino to have any support. After Yoshino got up she headed off towards the festival again. This time making sure not to run.
The next hour and a half Rei could not remeber well. Not even someone with a photographic memory could remember everything at the rapid pace that Yoshino was going at. It seemed as though they barely spent more than a minute in each place they went to. All the while Yoshino acted like an exstatic little kid and Rei tried to keep up. She looked at her younger cousin as she ate her takoyaki. After this small break she was sure to hurry Rei off to the other stands. She knew how much energy Yoshino had and that she needed to see everything even though it would be there next year.
So what happened next suprised Rei. Yoshino yawned and rubbed her eyes.It couldn't be, she was already tired? As Yoshino got up and walked it was proven that she was tired. Rei watched as she tried to walk only to trip. Yoshino got up and yawned again. The older of the two sighed and walked to her cousin. She knelt down and picked her up. As expected Yoshino didn't give up without a fight. After a bit of struggling with her Rei finally suceeded in being able to carry Yoshino without her complaining.
Rei looked down at Yoshino who had fallen asleep on their way home. She was adorable. Still even if she was Rei knew what would come once Yoshino awakened. She would insist that she could have walked home and didn't need to be carried. Still despite the fact she was stubborn, overly energetic, and started riots constantly Yoshino was still cute in Rei's eyes. She was glad that she was Yoshino's Rei-chan.
Later at the festival Tsutako was running around incognito looking for Lillian students she could take pictures of. So far she hadn't been having much luck and sighed as she sat next to a tree. In the branches she saw to slips of paper and what they said. "I want to always be by Rei-chan's side-Shimazu, Yoshino" "I want always to be Yoshino's Rei-chan-Hasekura, Rei" Tsutako finished reading their wishes ",They're so weird..." She then took a few pictures of the slips of paper giggling to herself.
Please review and bye.
