To love someone is to have taken care of them. Jarod angered himself for not have given Miss Parker the protection she needed. She had been a part of him for almost all of his life and she was the reason which had kept him going. He woke up every morning to the sound of sometimes unfamiliar voices while he lived at The Center. No one ever cared about him, except for Sydney. He had no playmates his age to have kept him company. And entered Miss Parker. She was his friend, his only friend. He knew "Growing Up Parker" was such a huge shoe to fill.

It frightened Jarod that the little girl who gave him his first kiss was now the grown woman whom he had probably given her last kiss. He had often wondered what was it that made him love her. Was it her smile? She hardly ever smiled, but when she did, it melted his heart. There was always sadness in those beautiful blue eyes of hers and there were many times she blinked back her tears and hid her sensitivity to the world and surfaced only her coldness which was seen by others.

Miss Parker knew Jarod would be the type of person who could actually love someone with all of his heart and was fortunate to have been the one he had chosen. She was thankful for the little time she was given to be with him and how precious life was. With her cuffed wrists, she struggled as she wiped her tears with the back of her hand. The ice queen no longer felt the urge to fight and had given up hope of being rescued.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, Parker." Lyle entered the room and gloated. "Why such sadness on that beautiful face of yours? It will soon be over. Do you have one last request before...," Lyle had a sudden felt of remorse for the current situations he had created. Was it maybe because of the bond between a brother and sister, he questioned himself. Afterall, he'd heard that twins felt each other's pain.

Mr. Lyle had never known Catherine Parker, but, his mother came to mind. He hated the fact that he was the one who had been given away at birth. He hated that he was never given a chance to be the son of Mrs. Parker. Yet, he knew somehow she would have been a mother who would had loved and nurtured the both of them equally, but, she was unaware of the child she bore. So, envious of his sister, he knew for a fact the reason of his hatred for her was because of his mother's love for her daughter. Maybe if he had grown up to be Catherine's son, situations would have been different. Although, he had old man Parker's blood in him, he had fully hoped his mother's kindness was somewhere in that cold heart of his. He cursed her silently for what he'd become and regretted the fact that instead of being given away, being killed would have been a better choice in the outcome of his life.

He bent down, grabbed hold of his sibling's legs, stuck the key into the hole of the shackles and unlocked it. Silence stood between them. He then gently rubbed her ankles to relieve the pain from the hours she'd been cuffed. Miss Parker tried to kick him, but, his flexes quickly pushed her feet away.

"Don't make me regret this," Lyle mumbled and uncuffed her wrists. "I'll be gone by the time help gets here. Take care, Parker. No heard feelings, okay, sis?"

Speechless, Miss Parker's body froze as he stepped back, then reached out for her and tugged at her hair slightly, he nodded, then walked out the door. It took her several minutes before she moved from her spot. It frightened her to have seen Lyle in a different light, a feeling of empathy crossed her and the stillness of her heart had begun to beat slowly for a brother she had never known existed in her growing years.

It had been hours since she'd used the bathroom and if she'd been cuffed any longer, Miss Parker would have surely made a mess in the middle of the room, which was why she made a dash towards it.

Jarod, Sydney and Broots were stationed at the front, back and side entrances of Lyle's house as Sam entered into the living room. There were no signs of Miss Parker's evil twin and it surprised him to find her as she walked about the house freely.

"Sam!" Miss Parker thought for certain that Lyle had changed his plans and sent Sam to finish his job.

"Miss Parker, are you alright?"

"Like you care," she snapped. "He's back?" She thought it was too good to be true for Lyle to have just released her for no reason at all. She held her breath as she waited for him to emerge when Sam yelled aloud.

"She's in here!"

"Parker!"

She cried when Jarod rushed in. Loving someone was about living your life in every moment and the joy to become so engrossed with each other that nothing else mattered at that moment. Their kiss was a sweet discovery after Jarod's long search. He could have gone on without many things, but, Miss Parker was not one of them.
