Abhijeet entered with Rishi and Daya. Daya and Rishi were not looking in a good condition and were certainly not.
"Rishu?"
Shanaya was shocked looking at the bandage on Rishi's head and his plastered left hand. She froze the second she saw him and tears started flowing continuously from her eyes. The fear of loosing someone again! No, she wasn't strong to go through this.
"Seenu I'm fine.. Seenu mai-" Rishi went to her and took her in a side hug. He could swear, he never saw her this much scared. She was literally shivering!
"Yr.. calm down Seenu mai sach mei theek hu ab." He said while rubbing her back from his right hand.
"You don't... look like!" She could just whisper.
"Seenu..."
"I.. I told you not to step out of this house. Then.. then why did you?" She separated from the hug and inquired as the realization hit her.
Rishi stared her for a moment. He didn't feel like narrating her everything now. He knew she wasn't in her senses and will never think before doing anything. He tried to change the topic when-
"I called him Shanaya!" The words were spoken in a low tone. She turned to the other entity who stood there unnoticed.
"You?" Shanaya took a few steps to him, owning to the anger that made roots in her mind.
"Haan, voh maine-"
"Just shut up!" She busted like a volcano, "I don't get it why it has to be you always! It.. it was you who warned me about Rishi's safety and now you only put him in danger?"
"Seenu-" Rishi tried to interrupt but Shanaya wasn't in a mood to listen.
"No! I want the fucking answer! What haan? What is your bloody problem?" She grabbed Daya's collar who stood there trying to control his emotions.
Every word, every nonsense that she blurted was like darts that pierced his heart again and again. It was suffocating him to tolerate her pointless cursing. Tears formed in his eyes and blazing fire was the pain that thumped his injured head.
"Shanaya kya bol rhi ho tum!" Rishi said while Abhijeet and Rishi forcefully separated her from him.
"Sach bol rhi hu mai! Coz I can't take this anymore! I never asked him anything before, but now I want my answers. Tumhari problem kya h Daya? Haan?" She yelled on him. She was angry, she was scared, she was hurt and what not.
"Shanaya you are over reacting, calm down!" It was enough for Rishi. He tried to stop her with his strict tone.
Daya looked in her eyes. Her eyes were crying angry tears today. Her gaze was increasing the guilt that he had been living in, since years. Her eyes were asking answers for every tear that she cried, every pain that she expelled, every memory that she tried to forget, and every futile snitches that the blade made on her wrist.
"Sb kuch toh cheen liya tumne mujhse, meri dosti, mera pyaar, mera trust, aur ab tum Rishi ko bhi mujhse alag karna chahte ho?" She shouted in spite of her burning throat.
Daya looked her with unbelievably. Tear flowed down as she shook his head trying to make her understand that he can never think about hurting her. But not a single word came out of his mouth.
"Bolo na? Kya bigada hai maine tumhara? Kyu Rishi ki jaan ke peeche-"
"Enough!" Rishi harshly pulled her and made her face him. "You need some rest Shanaya! Go to your room!" He tried to control his anger.
"Ab toh tum kuch bologe nhi. Whatever you did to me, I haven't forgotten Mr. Daya." She ignored Rishi completely, "I will not sit quietly now, I will destroy you and you'll beg to me, mind my words-"
"Shanaya leave!" This was enough for Rishi. He gritted his teeth and tightened his fists. He could not bear his friend getting insulted without any fault. Being familiar with the truth made it even more hard for him to hear his friend being treated like this.
"Rishi you?" Shanaya looked at him in hurt and questioning eyes.
"I said leave. Can't you hear me!" He yelled at her.
DUO'S HOUSE-
"Abhijeet, voh Daya-" Tarika was worried for Daya. She saw his messy condition and her heart ached badly.
"Nahi Tarika. Mai nhi sambhal paunga usse iss bar. Aaj jo kuch hua voh sahi nhi tha, lekin usse galat kehna ka bhi koi hak nhi mujhe." Abhijeet said and wiped tears from his eyes.
"Abhijeet tum ese kese-"
"Tarika! Ab agar sabkuch phir se shuru huya h toh iss baar sab khatm zarur hoga. Mai na toh sach ko samne aane se rokna chahta hu, aur na hi mujhse esa kuch hoga. Toh please..." He stammered as he gave his decision.
...
Every word was reverberating a thousand time in Daya's head. Shanaya's crying face wasn't leaving his mind and was simply making him die of guilt. He was so lost that he didn't notice when he entered his room.
He couldn't control anymore. He sat on the cold floor and broke down completely. His eyes weren't tired of shedding tears nor his heart seemed to lighten up by crying. He wasn't able to breath between his loud sobs.
He didn't notice when the door opened and someone entered in. He pulled his legs close to his chest and dig his head in knees as each and every past memories drowned him in the deep sea of guilt.
It wasn't his fault completely, though the situations didn't let him think or curse someone else for whatever he did in the past to betray Shanaya.
A hesitant consoling hand reached his shoulder.
