Note: This is my first story for The Raccoons in this fanfic, and it will be a crossover with ... I won't spoil it for you. Okay, it won't be much of a crossover, but more of a story in The Raccoons' universe with a cameo from a character of the franchise it is being crossed over with. Without further ado, I welcome you to chapter 11 out of 100.
Chapter 11: Where's Lisa?
Bert woke up in the morning. For some, it would be a normal day, but for Bert, it was a wonderful day. Why? Because Lisa had invited him over for something. In other words, she basically invited the goofy, peanut butter-loving raccoon to a date (or what Bert considered a date). When he was around with the taller, yet younger, female, Bert felt a form of happiness that no one else made him feel: love.
"I hope that she wears that sweater I gave her." Bert said. He thought about the sweater he had given to Lisa on her birthday. The sweater was sky blue and had a few pink stripes on it.
Walking down the stairs, Bert was greeted by Ralph and Melissa.
"What's up Bert?" Melissa asked.
"Lisa invited me over to her place for something." Bert smiled.
"What for?" Ralph asked.
"I don't know," Bert said as he walked to the door, "but I hope it's something good!"
"Okay, have fun!" Melissa said as Bert walked out.
"I will!" Bert yelled back.
"How does he know if Lisa isn't planning something sinister?" Ralph asked.
"Oh Ralph, quit being so pessimistic!" Melissa nearly laughed before giving her husband a kiss.
"You're right, I should be happy for Bert." Ralph smiled.
As Lisa was getting finished dressing up, she put on the blue and pink-striped sweater Bert had given her. While it was rather itchy, she didn't mind because it was beautiful. Before she could admire it some more, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll get it!" Bentley's voice said from downstairs as he opened the door, "Hey Lisa, someone's here to see you!"
Bert's here already? Lisa thought, Gee Bentley, thanks for not stalling him!
Lisa walked down to the door. However, much to her surprise, it wasn't Bert in the doorway, but rather a black panther wearing almost entirely white clothing.
"Who are you?" Lisa asked.
"Name's Panther Caroso, Miss." The panther said, "Those who meet my rose discover it marks their imminent death."
Lisa's eyes widened "You're going to kill me?!"
"What?" Panther laughed, "No! I would never hurt a lady!"
"Then why are you here?" Bentley asked, "Our parents say that we shouldn't talk to strangers."
"Your parents are wise, then." Panther smiled, "But I introduced myself, so I'm not a stranger. Anyway, I would like to know if you would take a walk with me, Lisa."
"I don't know, I'm kinda waiting for someone." Lisa said.
"I'm sure that whoever's coming here won't mind." Panther said.
"I guess I could take a walk," The raccoon said, "as long as I'm back before Bert arrives."
"I take it this Bert is one of your friends?" The panther asked.
"Yes." Lisa stated.
"Well then," The feline said as he walked out the door, "come on!"
"I'll be back in a bit, Bentley." Lisa said to her brother.
"Be careful!" Bentley said as his sister walked out of the room.
"I will!" The older raccoon yelled back.
All of a sudden, Bert walked into the room through the door.
"Yo Bentley, where's Lisa at?" The older raccoon asked.
"She's taking a walk with someone." Bentley stated.
"Who is this someone?" Bert asked.
"He's a black panther who was wearing what looked like a spacesuit." Bentley explained.
"Why's Lisa taking a walk with him?" Bert asked, suspicious of who Bentley was describing.
"To kill some time, I guess." The younger raccoon said.
"I wonder if he'll let me walk with them." Bert said as he walked out, closing the door behind him.
"Now why didn't I close the door when Lisa left?" Bentley asked dumbfounded.
Meanwhile, Lisa was walking with Panther. Even though he was a nice enough guy, she felt that the feline had something sinister in mind. After they went deeper into the woods, they stopped walking.
"Why did you stop?" Lisa asked.
"Because I want to do something." Panther said.
"What are you going to do?" The raccoon asked, her suspicion towards him growing.
"If you think I'm going to do something horrible, you watch too much TV." The feline chuckled.
"Then what is it you're going to do, Tuxedo Mask?" Lisa asked.
"This." Panther said as he kissed the raccoon on the forehead.
"What was that for?" Lisa asked.
"I think that you need to lighten up a little." The feline said.
"Believe me, my uncle Ralph is worse!" Lisa said.
Panther chuckled as he said "A lot of people think that I am just the male version of a seductress, but I'm one of those guys who don't think that chivalry is dead."
"That's nice to know." The raccoon said.
"You're nice as well." Panther said.
"Lisa!" Bert said, as he was unable to find the younger female. He even asked everyone else in the Evergreen Forest where she was. As such, he got the same answer from everyone: they hadn't seen her. This concerned him, as one of his closest friends was in the company of a complete stranger.
"Lisa, where are you?!" Bert called.
Bert got no answer. That was until he heard a feminine moan from deeper within the woods.
That's Lisa's voice, Bert thought, so whoever she's with must be treating her well.
However, a surge of anger shot through the goofy raccoon.
That creep probably seduced her! Bert angrily processed through his head, If I find her naked, I'm going to beat him up!
Bert walked deeper into the woods, where he saw the panther Bentley mentioned earlier giving Lisa a back rub.
"I guess you're right," Lisa moaned, "I did need to loosen up a bit."
"Glad I could help." Panther said.
"Lisa?" Bert asked.
"Oh, hi Bert." Lisa said as she looked up.
"So, you're Bert?" The feline looked at the shorter raccoon.
"That's right," Bert said with clear anger in his voice, "get your hands off her!"
"Relax," Panther said, "I'm not hurting her in any way."
The goofy raccoon crossed his arms "How?"
"He's just giving me a back rub, Bert." Lisa said.
"I can see that." Bert said.
"Also, I think that you're a good person for being concerned about her." Panther smiled.
"Really?" Bert was charmed.
"Yeah," The feline said, "anyone who is concerned for their friend is okay with me."
"Thanks for the back rub." Lisa said as she got up.
"You're welcome, Lisa." Panther said as she walked by.
"Hey, do you want to stay with us for a bit?" Bert asked.
"Actually," Panther said, "I should get back to my place before it gets late."
"Okay, see you around." The raccoon said.
"You too." The feline said as he walked off.
When he was out of sight, Bert and Lisa began to walk out of the woods. Before they could walk much farther, they heard a noise that sounded like a spacecraft was being launched. Turning their heads, the two raccoons saw a spaceship flying up into space.
"Was he an alien?!" Bert asked.
Note: Of course he was Bert, of course he was. If you're wondering why Panther didn't wind up having sex with Lisa, I decided to make him chivalrous. I mean, he seems like the kind of guy who would think chivalry is still around. OOC, I know, but he's one of those fictional characters who are misunderstood. While he debuted at an awkward time in the Star Fox franchise (thanks Nintendo for not giving us more games with these characters), I think that he and pretty much every over-hated character in the series can be brought back. What did you guys think of this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review. Until next time guys, peace!
