Note: This chapter is a prequel to chapter five. I just felt the urge to write this even though I explained why Krystal was on Earth in chapter five. This one will be about the first time we met (it's based on my dreams, after all). Now then, let's get into chapter twenty-nine.

Chapter 29: How I Met Krystal

One day, I was reading a book at my house. There was nothing else to do, given how it was chilly outside. I didn't even feel the urge to play video games or watch TV. It was just another boring day. However, something would arrive at my doorstep. That something was someone who would change my life.

A knock came on the door. Curious, I opened it up. To my surprise, it was a woman, but she didn't look human. In fact, she looked like a fox. However, her fur was a cobalt blue color and her eyes were green. Also, she was wearing a black-and-blue bodysuit. The fox girl was even wearing a tiara and what looked like a utility belt. I was a little confused, was this girl an alien?

"Can I come in?" The woman asked in an Estuary English accent.

"Sure." I said, hoping that she wasn't a criminal.

"You needn't worry," she spoke, "I won't do anything horrible to you."

I was stunned. I couldn't help but wonder this: did she read my thoughts?

"I have telepathy." The fox stated, "I must have read your thoughts when you saw me. Sorry about that."

"Oh no," I said, "it's fine. I was just wondering who you are and why you are here."

"My name is Krystal Bodimead," she introduced herself, "and I came to your planet to study humans."

"So you're an alien?" I stupidly asked.

"I am to you humans." Krystal said.

"Where are you from?" I asked.

"Uranus." She stated.

"Really?" I asked, not knowing that she was being sarcastic.

"No," the cobalt vixen chuckled, "I'm actually from Sauria, but I was born on Cerinia."

"Why did you move?" I asked.

Krystal frowned, as if I said something that I shouldn't have.

"What happened to Cerinia?" I asked out of concern.

"It blew up." Krystal said.

"I'm sorry to hear about that." I put my hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay, you weren't there." The vixen sighed sadly.

"How long we're you on Sauria?" I asked.

"For roughly a year before Fox found me." She answered.

"Who's Fox?" I asked.

"He's the leader of the team I was on before I left." Krystal answered.

"What's the team's name?" I was curious.

"Star Fox." She said.

"How did you and Fox meet?" I blurted out.

"We met when I was looking for answers for how Cerinia was destroyed." The vixen answered, "I fell in love with him because he was so sweet. However, we never went on a date, nor did we kiss."

"Why not?" I asked, wanting to know why.

"He used to be with a girl named Fara Phoenix." Krystal spoke, "When I heard about her, I encouraged Fox to get back with her. Fara had some problems with me, but we became good friends after we got the time to know each other. After that, I started to support Fox and Fara's relationship. While I might have failed to end up with Fox, I managed to get him back together with an old flame."

"How did you come here without encountering Area 51?" I couldn't help but ask.

"I signed some papers that said I came in peace and that I wasn't going to destroy Earth." The cobalt vixen answered.

"Did Area 51 hear about you?" I asked.

"They wanted to experiment on me," she stated, "but I told them that I meant no harm to all life on Earth."

"How's your time on Earth going?" I asked.

"It hasn't been so great." Krystal said as she sat down on my bed, "Some of the humans I have encountered were either thugs or bullies who insulted me for being different. I've also heard that your planet has had more wars than the Lylat system. I'm starting to think that Hobbes was right about what he said in Leviathan: that all humans are cruel."

"I can't blame you for it." I said, "There's a lot of horrible people out there, and many of them aren't just here in America. You should be lucky you didn't encounter terrorists or a gang of criminals."

"I've dealt with terrorists and criminals before, but I was just hoping to put my past as a crime fighting mercenary behind and become a scientist." The vixen spoke.

"Someone has been busy in the Lylat system!" I couldn't help but say.

"I hoped to attend College as well, but I never got the chance." She said.

"Was your team holding you back?" I asked.

"Kind of," Krystal stated, "but I couldn't really attend community college and be a mercenary at the same time. And besides, Fox and Falco told me that they had bad experiences in college."

"You can attend college on Earth." I told her.

"Maybe I will." The vixen said, "I might be an honor roll student like how I was on Cerinia. I'm pretty smart when it comes to everyday life."

"Prove it." I challenged, not buying what she said.

"Did you know that thermonuclear fusion causes a Star to shine?" She asked.

"No." I answered.

"Do you know who signed the Declaration of Independence?" She asked.

"The Founding Fathers." I answered.

"Correct." Krystal smiled.

"That was kind of an easy one." I stated, "But can you tell me what else you can do?"

"I can fly a ship without any problems, I can dance, I can speak both English and Saurian, and I know how to play the flute." Krystal said.

"You know, I want to ask you something." I spoke.

"Ask away." She said, clearly using her telepathy.

"Would you like to go out on a date?" The words poured out of my mouth.

"I would love to, but why?" The vixen asked.

"Because you are one of the prettiest girls I have met." I said, "Not to mention, one of the nicest and smartest girls I have met."

Krystal looked like she was about to cry as she said, "That's one of the nicest things that anyone has ever said to me!"

"And not all humans are bad." I smiled, "I just want to show you that."

"I could sense that you were going to say that." The vixen smiled.

"Telepathy, eh?" I asked.

"When should we go on our date?" She asked.

"How about tonight?" I suggested.

"Sure," Krystal said, "I've got nothing better to do."

My date with Krystal was nothing spectacular. All we did was go for a walk and eat dinner at my house. When we got done eating, I decided to put on some music so that we could dance to it. I was never a bad dancer, but Krystal was a prima ballerina compared to me. After we got done dancing, I found myself getting a kiss on the cheek from the cobalt vixen. I accepted it, as she was really sweet.

"I better go back to my Arwing," Krystal said, "it's getting late.

"You don't have a place to stay?" I asked.

"I don't have enough money to afford a house." The vixen answered.

"Why don't you stay here for the night?" I suggested.

"That's very generous of you," she said, "but I couldn't do that. We just met, after all."

"I just don't want you to get cold." I stated, "Besides, sleeping in a bed has got to be more comfortable than sleeping in a spaceship."

"I see your point." Krystal said.

"Do you want me to give you some night clothes?" I asked.

"I actually have some in my Arwing." She answered.

"While you get your clothes, I'll be in the shower." I told her.

"Okay." The vixen said as I walked to the bathroom with the clothes I was going to wear for the night.

When I got out of the shower, I let Krystal into the bathroom so that she could take a shower as well. After a few minutes, the cobalt vixen came out with a towel wrapped around her. Blushing, I looked away so that she could get dressed for the night. When she got done, I saw that she was wearing a night shirt and some lounge pants. I suppose that she didn't have an awful lot of clothes, given how she spent a lot of her time fighting threats in space. However, she looked beautiful in her night clothes, looking like Artemis.

Now that we did what we needed to do, we lie down in my bed and got covered up.

"Goodnight, Krys." I told her.

"Goodnight." Krystal yawned.

We fell asleep, not letting anything bother us. After we woke up, I became a couple with the blue vixen. A few weeks passed, and Krystal contacted her friends and allies to confirm that she was okay. Star Fox actually came down for a visit and I managed to get along with the rest of the team. The only one I had problems with was Falco Lombardi, as he was quite arrogant. The team supported my relationship with Krystal, and I felt happy. For once in my life, I managed to get a girl who reciprocated my feelings towards her.

Note: Like I said before, this is a prequel to chapter five. If you didn't read that, you missed it. However, I admit, I probably wouldn't have a chance with Krystal if she were real.

Fox: YOU STOLE HER FROM ME!!!

Me: Fox, didn't you read this chapter?

Krystal: I'm with him and he's not hurting me, please calm down, Fox.

Fara: Come on, Fox, let's go home.

Fox: (sighs) Okay.

That's one reason that I wouldn't have a chance with Krystal: Fox. Even if they weren't together, he would not be trusting of me. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism. Until next time guys, peace!
