"Will Solace? The med guy?" Jason asked as Nico began his story. He nodded his head.

"I've heard he's nice." Jason tossed a fry into his mouth. "Anyway, go on."

A couple of days had passed since that first kiss with Will. Nico had wanted so badly to tell someone about it, and finally, Jason had agreed to go with him to a nearby McDonald's to buy some comfort food and shadow travel back to camp to chat. Nico told him everything, not really stopping to consider whether it was okay to tell him everything.

"Uhh..." Jason grinned, elbowing him in the ribs as he had finished describing the kiss. "I think someone's got a boyfriend...!"

"Wha–what–?" Nico chuckled, though his cheeks were turning bright pink. "We aren't... he's not..."

"You're not officially together." Jason finished for him. Nico nodded. That was something he liked about him; he didn't have to verbalize every single thing he was thinking for Jason to understand. "And would you like to?"

"As in... be a couple?" Nico thought about it. He did want to call Will his, but... that would make the pain and suffering real when they broke up. And he didn't know if he was willing to be part of a compromise like that. "I don't know... yet."

Jason nodded with his head and took a sip of his Fanta. He and Nico had argued about that earlier, like– who went to McDonald's and didn't buy a coke?! And Fanta was so gross. Jason had taken that offense personally. He said that, even though coke was more popular, Fanta had a more interesting history. When Nico had asked about it, Jason shrugged and said, "google it." Five more minutes of conversation had been spent with Nico asking what had that meant.

"It's a 90's kids' thing," Jason smirked with malice. Nico grunted; that quote was his and Hazel's only for when they were making fun of others. That stopped him from resuming the Fanta argument.

"Well, you don't have to know now." Jason pointed, laying his hands on the ground. "You don't have to know anything, really." He chuckled, and Nico found himself smiling.

"I guess not..." He fiddled with the smurf toy from his happy meal. "But I'm afraid he might... like, move on to someone else if I don't agree to be his boyfriend rather sooner."

"I don't think he would." Jason pushed his glasses up his nose. "In any case, if he does that... he's probably not the one for you."

Nico pursed his lips, considering the son of Jupiter's words. Maybe he was right. Maybe Will was too good of a person to pressure him into anything. But it still made him worried.

"Just– take it easy." The blonde advised, "let it flow. If it is meant to be, it will happen eventually."

"As eventually as you and Reyna?" Nico raised a sarcastic eyebrow at him.

"I–" Jason's cheeks turned slightly pink as he pushed his glasses up again and shifted in his seat. "Well, that's not–"

"I'm kidding." Nico let out a small laugh. "But honestly though, you've been into each other for like– what? Six years? Seven? More?"

"I'm over Reyna..." Jason disagreed, laying over his elbows. "She's just a friend and I've got to accept it wasn't possible between us."

"Hmm yeah. Keep lying to yourself, that will help."

"Excuse me, we were talking about you and Will."

"And you are just trying to change the subject." Nico pointed an accusing finger in his direction.

"You changed it first!"

"Yes, yes, whatever, Grace." Nico rolled his eyes. "You are so good at romance, but can't even get the guts to tell your childhood crush you like them."

Jason scoffed, "you think too much of yourself for telling Percy you used to like him."

"Well, maybe I do." Nico grinned.

"You little evil prick." Jason narrowed his eyes at him. Nico shrugged. "Are you finished?" He nodded at Nico's food.

He looked down. He still had some fries left and a couple of nuggets, but he still nodded in confirmation.

"Let's go, then." Jason stood, "I have a pegasus riding class I can't miss."

"Ugh." Nico winced, folding his happy meal. "I hate pegasus riding."

"You hate everything, Nico." Jason chuckled.

The shorter boy shrugged, "I don't hate fries."

"Everything but fries." Jason corrected himself. "And Will."

Nico rolled his eyes and grumbled under his breath as they headed to the stables.
