Chapter 48: New Friends
Lisa Raccoon was in her room, reading a magazine. She had nothing better to do, given how it was a Saturday. That was until a knock came on the living room door. Getting up from her bed, the raccoon went downstairs and opened the door. She was half-expecting the person behind the door to be Bert, but she was wrong. In fact, it wasn't anyone she recognized.
Standing in the doorway was a pink cat, a cobalt blue fox vixen, and a yellow rabbit with blue eyes. The former two perplexed Lisa, as she had never seen a blue fox or a pink cat before in her life. Before she could speak, she was cut off.
"Perplexed by us, aren't you?" The vixen asked, having an Estuary English accent.
Lisa didn't answer.
"Don't worry hon, we won't bite." The pink cat had a soothing Southern accent.
"Good to know." Lisa said.
"You can trust us, so don't get presumptuous." The rabbit said.
"Good to know," the raccoon said, "but who are you guys?"
"Katt Monroe." The cat introduced herself.
"Krystal Bodimead." The vixen stated.
"And I'm Lola Bunny." The rabbit said.
"Why are you here?" Lisa asked.
"We were just wondering if you wanted to hang out." Lola said.
"Why?" The raccoon said, "I don't know you guys."
"Well, here's your opportunity to get to know us." Katt said.
"Okay, but promise me that you aren't going to do any harm." Lisa said.
"We promise!" Krystal chuckled, "There's no need to be so pessimistic towards us!"
"Good," Lisa said, "I just need to tell my parents that I'm heading out."
"And we'll be waiting for you." Lola said as the raccoon walked back indoors.
After a few minutes, Lisa came back out and walked towards the three.
"What did they say?" Katt asked.
"They said 'yes'." Lisa answered.
"Great," Lola walked off, "come with us!"
"Where are we going anyway?" Lisa asked.
"You'll see." Katt said.
After five minutes of walking, Katt, Krystal, Lola, and Lisa came near one of the Evergreen Forest's mountains.
"Are we going mountain climbing?" Lisa asked.
"Of course, stupid." Katt said.
"And before you ask, I've got a phone so that I can call for help." Lola stated.
"And I'm a telepath, so I can sense imminent dangers." Krystal added.
"Interesting." Lisa said.
"Who wants to climb up first?" Katt asked.
"I guess that I could go up." Lisa suggested.
"Well, go ahead." Lola said.
Lisa began to walk up the mountain, with the others following her. As they walked up the mountain, the girls seemed to be safe. That was until Krystal sensed something.
"Look out!" The vixen cried.
A boulder was falling down towards Lisa, being a minute away from her. Before she could get crushed, Krystal grabbed the raccoon and pulled her out of its way.
"You idiot, you could've been killed!" Krystal scolded.
"Thanks for the rescue." Lisa muttered.
The four continued to walk up the mountain before coming across a cave.
"Want to go in?" Lola asked.
"No, it's never a good idea to enter a cave on a mountain!" Krystal said.
"Ease up, Krys!" Katt giggled, "We're just taking a peek!"
Katt was the first to enter the cave, with the others watching in alarm.
"Come on in!" The feline called out.
Lisa, Krystal, and Lola cautiously entered the cave, where they looked around for any present dangers. However, the cave seemed to be completely empty. Inside was Katt, who was sitting by her lonesome.
"So, why are we in here?" Lisa asked.
"To talk." Katt answered.
"About what?" The raccoon asked as she sat down.
"We just want to be your friends." Lola sat down.
"Why?" The younger female asked.
"Because you seem like the kind of girl who would be friends with us." Krystal said as she sat down.
"Why do you want me to be your friend?" Lisa asked.
"You just seem nice enough to be our friend." Lola said.
"Not to mention brave, given how you were the first to climb up the mountain." Katt added.
"You guys are braver than I am," Lisa stated, "I'm just an average girl."
"Nonsense." Krystal said, "There's more to you than you realize."
"Plus, you might become a scientist if you put your mind into it." Katt added.
"Oh, I'm not sure about that." Lisa chuckled.
"Other than that, we just see something in you that no one else sees." Lola said.
"Thanks guys." The raccoon said.
"What do you want to do the next time we hang out?" Katt asked.
"Maybe we could go to a spa." Lisa suggested.
"Not a bad idea." Krystal stated.
"We can go when we have time off work." Lola said.
"I don't have a job." Lisa said.
"I think she meant us." Katt gestured towards Krystal, Lola, and herself.
"Kind of figured." The raccoon giggled.
The four shared a laugh, having become friends in the short time they got to know each other. After doing so, they exited the cave and went back to Lisa's house, where they agreed to meet there every so often. When the other three went home, Lisa decided to head to bed. From that point on, she had three new friends, and they were the kind of friends anyone could ask for.
Note: Seeing as I did a chapter where Panther meets Lisa, I decided to write this chapter. Lisa would be good friends with Katt and Krystal, wouldn't she? As for Lola, this is the second time I've used her in a chapter. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism stating what you like and what you don't like. Until next time guys, peace!
