Note: I apologize if I skipped last week, there were personal things going on in my life. But now I'm back, and I have a new chapter. Enjoy!
Chapter 87: Surprise for Lisa
Lisa Raccoon was walking through the Evergreen Forest, heading towards her house. She had been jogging for an hour, feeling the need to get some fresh air. Now that she was hot and exhausted, the raccoon just wanted to head home and relax. The moment she got to the door, Lisa was greeted by her father, George, and her mother, Nicole.
"Liza, you're home early!" Nicole greeted.
"Yeah, I decided that I've jogged enough for one day." Lisa stated.
"Well, come in, there's a package on your bed." George told her.
Lisa walked into the house, going up the stairs. She made her way to her room, wondering what the package was. However, what was more important was who sent it to her. For all the raccoon knew, it could've been a gift from a relative. That being said, she hoped that it wasn't from anyone she didn't know. People like that ranged from a family friend she didn't meet to a stranger with sinister intentions.
I hope that it's something good. Lisa thought to herself.
Opening the door to her room, Lisa saw what the package was: a basket. Upon picking up the basket, the raccoon saw that there was more than a dozen of cookies in it. The cookies had chocolate chips, but they had the smell of peanut butter.
"Cookies," Lisa spoke, "I wonder who made them."
There was a card on the handle of the basket. Curious, Lisa took it off and read the text on the card.
Lisa,
I hope that you like these cookies. I worked hard on them, and I think that you'll like the recipe I chose.
Bert
Lisa smiled as she put the basket on her dresser, deciding to have one of the cookies later.
"Thanks, Bert." She said to herself, walking out of her room.
Meanwhile, Bentley was in his room, relaxing. He felt sore, as he had carried something from the Raccoondominium to his house. That something was Lisa's gift. Bert had made the cookies while Ralph and Melissa packed them into the basket. Bentley, reluctantly, carried it over to the house. Needless to say, the boy wasn't happy with the aftermath, as he was sore from how heavy the basket was, even though it was filled with cookies.
"I really hope that Lisa likes those cookies." Bentley groaned. "Not only did Bert make them, but I had to carry them here."
Note: Oh, Bentley! Yeah, it was not only a gift from Bert, but a secret delivery from Bentley. Needless to say, Lisa was happy to receive it. Sorry for skipping last week guys. Not only am I working on my own stories, but I have a lot of personal stuff going on. Nevertheless, I'm back and I'm still working on my stuff. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off.
