Thor proudly strode across the bridge connecting the Bifrost to the golden kingdom of Asgard. He was at peak performance, and he knew it. His polished armour synergised with his natural strength, and his star-forged hammer swung like a celestial pendulum from the leather strap in his hand. He swept past his future kingdom, observing its green fields, training grounds and fields of carefully-nurtured crops. He smiled and spun airily, breathing in and inhaling Asgard's rich taste of freedom. He felt free and mighty amongst his friends.

He saw Lady Sif and the Warriors Three walk out of the throne room, their faces petrified. "What is troubling you, my friends?" he beamed majestically at them.

"You must see your father, Thor." Lady Sif quickly ran back towards the Bifrost along with the others.

Thor watched them as they sprinted off without another word. His smile faded. He picked up his pace and entered into the throne room.

Thor saw his father pacing up and down in front of his throne. He gripped his staff, swaying it around and muttering bitterly under his breath.

Thor could clearly observe how anxious he was. "Father?"

Odin immediately headed towards him, gripping his shoulder tightly.

"Father, what is happening?"

"Son, you must prepare as many men as you can!" He jogged over to his throne, raising his arm in command. A thousand guards emerged from every corner surrounding Thor. He looked around him, noticing a full regiment of Asgardian soldiers with heavy armour, swords and shields. "There has been news from Jotunheim." Odin moved uncomfortably upon his throne. "There are survivors." He hesitated. "I have sent your men to aid them."

"Then why do you appear anguished, Father? This is a vital discovery!" He raised his arms in question.

"I do not trust them."

"Well we shall at least try!" Thor protested. "We cannot let an entire race perish under our watch. We would accept their help if needed!"

"And you believe they would accept ours?" Odin dismissively looked at his son. "If they deny our help, Thor, you would be entering into a war zone. It is fatal!"

"I shall not sit aside and watch my brother's narrow-minded actions to take any more lives!" Thor shouted. He saw his father look at him in disbelief, then slowly shake his head. Thor grunted in disapproval, and stormed out, guards following.

Anger surged through him. His heart pounded and his blood boiled. A mass of horses galloped into the opening, thousands of guards mounted on them, headed for the Bifrost. Thor stood still, holding his white stallion's reins. He looked into its eyes to see his own reflection.

What should I do? His thoughts were clouded and distracted.

"I can not let them suffer..." His decision was final. He hauled himself up, and raced across the bridge.

He came past Jane who was still walking across the bridge. She turned back towards the Bifrost. He jumped off his horse and urged her to go to the palace and stay safe.

"What's happening?" He saw confusion and loss written across her face.

"Jotunheim, there are survivors." Jane's face grew with shock. She started walking backwards, almost tripping up.

Thor quickly grabbed her by the hand and drew her near. He looked deep into her eyes. "I have to aid them!"

"You don't owe them anything!"

"I owe them everything, Jane. After Loki..." His head lowered. Jane placed her hand on his chin and lifted it up to her. She smiled and leaned in for a kiss. His spirit lifted, knowing his love and support from Jane. He quickly pecked her on the cheek, and started running beside his horse.

"Wait!" Jane shouted behind him. He instantly stopped and turned around. "I... I'm pregnant!" She looked down, curling up into a ball, hiding herself. "I was going to tell you before, but you had to see your father." She stood still, avoiding eye contact.

Thor fell speechless. He didn't know how to react. He stared at Jane. Her eyes lowered.

She looked up to find Thor running up to her, picking her up and swinging her around. He laughed joyfully and delicately placed her down, Jane's expression astonished. He looked at her and bloomed in happiness. Frantically kissing Jane, she leaned back to compose herself.

"So you're not angry?" A smile started to emerge on her face.

"Why would I be? I am to be a father!" His enthusiasm was overflowing. He couldn't contain the excitement and sheer happiness he was feeling. "We are finally going to be a family!" He grabbed onto her and kissed her forehead. He did a little skip backwards, smiling profusely. He saw Jane's concerned expression, knowing that she must have thought him mad. He jumped up onto his stallion and raced off further into the Bifrost, his hands in the air, celebrating this joyous news. He turned his head back, watching Jane smile at him.

He raised his head into the air, feeling a delightful breeze sweep through his hair. After his discovery of becoming a father, he knew that he had to do this one last job before caring for his future wife. Eventually, he reached Heimdall who congratulated him. Quickly, Thor embraced him, his heart racing with pleasure.

"Let us end this, shall we? I have an important job to tend to after!" He smiled and greeted his friends. They looked at him worryingly. "My friends, I promise we will come out as victors. We cannot let these poor creatures suffer." They respectfully nodded their heads.

Thor looked up at Heimdall who waited for his command. He drew out his sword and placed it into the platform. The dome started to move around them. Thor wearily looked around at the concerned faces. Despite Thor's rousing words, the men still looked unsettled.

A beam of light struck every soul and dragged them into the portal, each and every one of them being pulled through. They travelled through an endless surge of infinite colours, firing them through the cosmos until they landed safely on land.
