It had been pretty awkward being around either of these men. They weren't outwardly hostile or harming him in the slightest bit. But, Ainsley still felt uncomfortable. Then again they all but frog marched him into another room. After essentially knocking out Evenin and stealing his glasses. Which was highly annoying in his book. Though he was grateful that Crowley had given him the sunglasses back.

It was still rather annoying.

Ainsley toyed with his hair as Aziraphale got a chair for him. Sitting down as both men stood in front of him. Neither of them looking entirely comfortable with this situation. Looking just how the nephalem felt about it as well. Chewing the inside of his cheek as he stared between them. In a low voice, Ainsley asked,"So what do you guys want to know about me?"

"Where did you come from?",Crowley questioned. Ainsley told the pair how he came out of the ocean. That the man had been tangled up in his then ankle-length hair. Completely naked as well. And how he was by himself when he came to be. In a soft voice, Ainsley muttered,"I've been following this feeling that I've had for a while. It's something that's been guiding me toward where I came from."

"To who I came from...I think...I'm not sure.",he added. That feeling used to be a strong tug into a direction. One then another sometimes. As of late, that feeling was getting even stronger than before. Pulling him in several directions at once. Making him feel so very confused. It was hard to understand where the sensation was coming from. Just like now. Now it was pulling from two different directions once again. But, Ainsley ignored it the best he could. Figuring that it wasn't serving him at the moment. While he sat thinking, Aziraphale asked,"So you have never met your creators then?"

"No, I haven't.",Ainsley answered. Nor did he feel he was ever going to. At this rate, the world would probably end before they could properly meet. Pushing this thought aside, Ainsley said,"I doubt I ever will at this rate."

"Have you ever met anyone like yourself?",Aziraphale questioned. That was another 'no'. In fact, Ainsley doubted there was anyone else like him. Aside, from characters in fiction or some movies. And that it probably was just himself in the world. Sighing, Ainsley shrugged a little as he frowned. His existence was probably going to be a lonely one. For who knew how long. Crowley stated,"That sounds rather lonely. Don't you have any friends at all?"

"Not really. I mean, Ms. Vega kind of adopted me without asking me if I'm cool with it.",Ainsley answered. Which was true. Ms. Vega definitely adopted him without asking if he was cool with it. And sure, he was friendly with his co-workers. He just wasn't friends with them. Not, because he thought he was better than them. Just mostly thanks to the fact that humans didn't live very long lives. Since Ainsley lived for thousands of years, he didn't need that heartbreak. Well, not anymore at least. That quickly made him realize that all this time, he'd been pretty alone.

A thought that made him feel somewhat empty inside. Pushing this down, he continued,"So I suppose I have at least one friend. Even if she kind of elbowed herself in."

Looking from the angel to the demon made his eyebrows raise. Both men were staring at each other with a concerned look. Like they were worried about him. Tilting his head to the side, Ainsley questioned,"Is it a problem that I only have one friend?"

"Well, it sounds like a rather lonely existence.",Aziraphale answered in a gentle voice. Looking down at Ainsley with a very sweet expression. Reaching over, he gently took Ainsley's hands in his own. An action that somewhat surprised the nephalem. Giving him a strangely warm feeling that melted over Ainsley like butter over popcorn. A feeling that the nephalem had never felt before. The sensation was strange, but he did his best to ignore it as he stared at Aziraphale. Who seemed to get the same feeling but wasn't hiding it like him. Instead his face conveyed the strange feeling that passed through the nephalem. A tiny smile on his face as Aziraphale mumbled,"What a lovely feeling..."

"Poor thing that must have been so hard being alone for so long.",he said. A bit louder than what the angel mumbled. Looking the nephalem in the eyes, Aziraphale asked,"Do you know anything about your umm...'parents'? Anything at all?"

"I call them my 'Makers' and sadly, no. I just know that I need to find them.",Ainsley answered. Trying to politely take his hands back from the angel. As the warm feeling was nearly overwhelming. It was so strange that he could barely stand it. This wasn't anything that he had ever felt in his entire lifetime. And that was saying something. Ainsley stared down at Aziraphale's hands for a brief moment. Then right back up to the angel's face. Noticing that the book shop owner seemed to feel the same. But it seemed, unlike Ainsley, that he didn't want to let go. That he seemed to enjoy this strange new feeling that was happening between them. Doing his best to ignore it, Ainsley asked,"May I have my hands back now, Mr. Fell?"

"Of course, my dear boy. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.",Aziraphale apologized. Immediately letting go of Ainsley's hands. Giving a very nervous grin as Crowley looked at him. The demon looked highly tempted to touch the nephalem's shoulder. See what his partner had been feeling that would cause that expression. But decided against it as he felt it would be awkward. Seeing is the demon had already laid his hands on Ainsley more than once in the past. Accidental sure, but deliberate would probably cross some personal lines. Instead, the demon got himself a chair and pulled it near Ainsley. Sitting down, Crowley questioned,"So do you make friends or do people make you their friend?"

"I suppose people make me their friend.",Ainsley answered. Soon as those words left his lips, he felt slightly hollow and cold. It was something that his mind would linger on now and then. This was also something that Ainsley tried to shove to the side. Ignore entirely as it did not entirely serve him in any shape or form. But the thought would creep up on him from time to time. Ainsley did as he did then. Shoving the thoughts to the side as he stared up at the pair and continued,"Humans don't live very long and I've suffered enough of their deaths in my life."

"I don't really want to hang out with folks who die in a figurative blink of an eye.",he added. Dropping his gaze to the ground as he tried to not cry. As this was Ainsley's problem to solve. Not either of these strange men who were technically holding him hostage. And the nephalem didn't want to burden either of them. While he tried to keep himself calm, Crowley gently gripped his chin and forced him to look up. A strange look on his face as he stared into Ainsley's. In a quiet voice, Crowley said,"That's not a healthy way to live, Ainsley. Just because humans don't live very long doesn't mean you can't make a good friendship."

"We've had a few friends who're human. They're still meaningful to us despite them no longer being around.",the demon added. Ignoring that strange sensation crawling up his arm as he looked into Ainsley's eyes. Ainsley also trying to ignore that feeling as well. But inwardly wondering what it meant. Or why it was so strong when both these men touched his skin. Again, Ainsley tried to ignore the feelings. Crowley stated,"Believe me when I say that you don't want to be isolated."

"It hurts more than loss ever could.",Crowley finished. Trying to not smile as the strange sensation reached his chest. Spreading slowly and nearly warming his heart. Which stopped the second he let go of Ainsley's face. It was something that the demon wondered what it could mean. But guessed that maybe that was just how nephalems' were. They gave you strange feelings the instant you made skin to skin contact with them. Ignoring the memory of the feeling, Crowley asked,"So. About Gabriel and Sandalphon. Have you ever met either of them before?"

"I met Gabriel before but not that Sandalphon fellow.",Ainsley answered. Then launched into the story about how he met Gabriel. How another angel had been with him. Dressed like they came out of Labyrinth. Both men seemed to know who this person was. But neither was saying anything as Ainsley said the story. Along with how when he got onto the bus, he met some dirty guy. One with a weird straw-like wig that covered a frog on his head. That this guy was the 'drunk hobo' that broke down his door. Calling him a 'newbie'. Something that Ainsley wasn't entirely sure meant. Shrugging his shoulders, Ainsley stated,"I mean, he might have actually been a drunk dude with a weird wig. I'm not entirely sure."

"All I know is that dude owes Evenin for the work she did on my door.",Ainsley muttered. Crowley looked highly uncomfortable at the end of his story. While Aziraphale also looked a bit uncomfortable. But thoughtful as well as he stood to the side. While he was thinking, Crowley croaked,"That was the Duke of Hell, Hastur."

"What in the name of everything would the Duke of Hell want from you?",he questioned. Wondering what 'newbie' had meant too. Thoughts racing as the demon tried to understand why Hastur wanted Ainsley. Or why in the world he was actually worried about that either. It wasn't as if this was something that he made with his Angel. But figured that the feelings were over the fact that Hastur wanted something as powerful as Ainsley. That the Duke of Hell knew where this guy lived too. And that Ainsley was pretty much by himself in his house. Making him an easy target to get to. So Crowley tried to not dwell on it as Ainsley shrugged his shoulders. Giving a nervous smile as he answered,"I'm not sure. But I don't think he'll be coming back to my place."

"I mean, I don't think he'll be coming back to my place.",Ainsley stated. Vaguely sure that this Hastur fellow wouldn't come back. As the apparent Duke of Hell didn't appear the next day. Or show up anytime during the night when Evenin was around. Or after she went home. So he figured that the demon wasn't coming back. At least as far as the nephalem was concerned he wasn't. This didn't seem to make Crowley happy. In fact, to his own horror, he got even more antsy about this information. Crowley tried to keep himself calm as he crossed his arms. Gabriel probably wanted the nephalem because he knew what Ainsley was. Probably going to do something terrible to the little creature as well. Which made the demon's stomach twist for reasons he wasn't entirely sure of. Pushing this down, Crowley still tried to figure out why Hastur was interested. He figured that maybe the energy that Ainsley was putting out was similar to a newly fallen angel.

Reasonable but slightly unlikely.

Crowley crossed his arms tightly against his chest. Squeezing himself slightly to calm himself down. Then turned to his partner. Aziraphale was gripping his own chin thoughtfully. Looking rather deep in thought at this information. Gently nudging the angel with his foot to get him out of his thoughts. When the angel glanced at him, Crowley asked,"What do you think, Angel?"

"You think Hastur would go back to his home?",he continued. Gesturing to the nephalem in front of them. Aziraphale let go of his own chin as he stared at Ainsley. Causing the nephalem to squirm under his gaze and nervously smile. The Angel answered,"Oh, definitely. I'm fairly certain that he's at Ainsley's home right now."

"Scoping it out and trying to find our little nephalem friend.",Azirphale added. Causing a cold shiver of fear to go down his spine. That was probably true. The Duke of Hell was probably at his home right now. Which made him grateful that he hadn't got a pet yet. As the nephalem would probably come home to a dead one. Shoving that unpleasant image aside, Ainsley asked,"So what should we do then? Send Evenin home and not go back just yet?"

"I mean, what would we say about that? That I'm trying to get a job here and she fainted?",Ainsley added. It sounded utterly ridiculous to his own ears. And highly doubted that Evenin would believe that story. But the pair in front of him nodded their head at this. Agreeing that it would be the best idea. Crowley stated,"I vote that you go wake her up, Angel. She's not exactly my biggest fan."

"I suppose that would be for the best.",Aziraphale agreed. Quickly heading out of the room to speak to Ms. Vega. While the angel did that, Crowley leaned back in the chair. Which made Ainsley wonder if it was the wisest idea for him to propose. And whether or not if he was actually safe with these men or not.

All three women were fairly drunk in Charmeine's kitchen. Seated around the round table that was in the middle of it. Five bottles of wine that were nearly empty. Charmeine poured herself a glass as she stared between her loves. Smiling slightly, Charmeine asked,"So what do you guys think this young man is?"

"Do you think he's remotely like our little wiggleworm here?",she added. Nearly giggling at the owl demon's nose scrunch. But pushing the urge down as the demon shrugged. Adora answered,"Probably not that strong. Otherwise we would've noticed him a while ago."

"The only thing I noticed a while ago was that weird spike of energy from that oddball kid.",Bronwyn added with a shrug. One that had turned out to be the anti-christ. Which seemed to have gotten resolved or something to that effect. Whatever had happened, it wasn't on the nephalem's radar. But she wondered whether or not if it was easy for others to find her or not. As the Duke of Hell only found her after he had found the other nephalem. Which made her wonder if her energy was only visible to those after meeting someone similar? It made sense to her drunken mind. Only visible when he felt something that was just like Bronwyn. And was grateful that Hastur wasn't going to be their problem thanks to their threat. Smiling slightly, Bronwyn took a long swig of her glass of wine. Charmeine stated,"I suppose that's a good point. But I wonder if he's anything like you."

"Not just personality but living with his own Makers as well.",Charmeine clarified. Which was what she was mostly interested in. Making her wonder if the other nephalem was like. Whether or not he was supported like their little wiggleworm was or not. And making her worried what he was actually like. While Adora didn't honestly care about this other nephalem. This person wasn't in their circle of things to care about. Nor did he sound particularly dangerous. As she was absolutely sure that the nephalem was weak. Why else hadn't either of them sensed this supposed creation? Which Adora was absolutely sure that the nephalem didn't matter. Setting her glass down, Adora stated,"Eh, I don't think he matters."

"The guy isn't in our lives and we're not going after him.",she added. Which her loved ones nodded in agreement. But Bronwyn was still curious about the other nephalem. As for the longest time, she thought she was the only one to ever exist. So there was this strange feeling of elation at the idea of not being the only one. Being able to meet the person that was similar to her. And seeing what exactly this other person was like. The wine giving her enough courage to tell them about this. Bronwyn stated,"I'd really like to meet him. Sure, he won't be like me. But I want to know what he's doing with his life."

"Find out if he's anything like me.",she added. Smiling nervously as she stared between her Makers. Who looked slightly shocked by this news. Then Charmeine nodded slightly. Adora set her glass down and she said,"I understand that. But I highly doubt that he's like you in the slightest bit."

"I mean, heart breaker, we can't even sense his power. He's obviously weaker than you.",Adora added. Shrugging her shoulders a little. While Charmeine nodded her head in agreement of this. It didn't matter to the nephalem if this other one was weaker or not. All she wanted to do was to meet the man that was like her. Bronwyn took a deep breath as she sat up straight. Smiling slightly, Bronwyn pointed out,"I don't really care if he's weaker than me, that would make him easier to deal with, but I want to know what he's like."

"Hell, I'd like to see if this guy is actually weak or not.",Bronwyn added. Figuring that maybe his powers were hidden or just blocked. Blocked would probably be what had happened. As Bronwyn doubted that this nephalem's makers would want their creation found. Hiding him to the best of their abilities. Shoving the thoughts down, Bronwyn asked,"So should we search for him tomorrow?"

"I suppose so. Since you don't work and I think we're both free.",Charmeine stated. At least she knew she was free that day. But she didn't want to talk for Adora. Who gave a small nod at this. Indicating that she also was free for the next day. So the three of them decided that they get sober. Then spend the rest of the night together in Charmeine's home.

It took a bit of effort to get sober, but they managed it.

Bronwyn headed to get herself some water. While she went to get something to drink, Adora headed to the living room to make the sofa bed. While Charmeine headed upstairs to get something for them to watch. As Charmeine found it easier to sleep with something playing in the background. Even if it was just thunderstorm sounds in the background. Which was what she was looking for in her bedroom. And found the C.D in the player that she used. Popping it out, she headed back down to the loves of her life. Who were turning off most of the lights. Leaving the T.V as the single light source. Putting the C.D into the D.V.D player, she snapped her fingers and made her pajamas appear on herself. As did her loves before they all lumped themselves onto the sofa bed. Curling up to each other as they listened to the C.D playing softly in the background.

It took a little while for them to fall asleep. But the three women managed it. When they woke up some odd hours later, it was around ten in the morning.

So they had around seven hours of sleep each. Something that they normally didn't have. Or at least something that Charmeine didn't have. As she usually liked only sleeping five hours or four hours. As sleeping wasn't something that she liked to do. In fact, it was something she felt most angels didn't like doing either. But that wasn't what was important. What was important was them getting ready to search for the other nephalem. The trio of women hurriedly got the room cleaned up. Charmeine turned off the D.V.D player and T.V along with it. While Adora and Bronwyn headed into the kitchen to make breakfast together.

Nothing special. Just some pancakes with eggs and bacon. Which they ate together in relative silence. Soon as they were done with it, Charmeine and Adora washed the dishes. Putting them back before heading out to Adora's car.

As soon as they all got in, Adora asked,"So where should we start first?"

"I mean, what would another nephalem like to do?",she added. None of them were entirely sure. As Hastur hadn't mentioned what he was like. Mostly thanks to the fact that he had no idea what the other nephalem was like. But they ignored this as they tried to think of what this man was. Deciding to go to a few places they wouldn't ever go. Then a few places they might go hang out if they wanted. And then places they liked to go to. Figuring that the young man might have opposite tastes than themselves. So with that, Adora started driving towards a location they rarely ever went. A fancy restaurant that they weren't a huge fan of.

The Ritz.

And that's indeed where Ainsley was. Along with the two men who had been speaking to him. They were paying for the snack that Aziraphale and himself were eating. Crowley only having a single cup of coffee. While they were seated together, Ainsley glanced around the place. Everything about this place was fancier than anything he'd ever seen in his life. So much so that the nephalem felt entirely out of place. Especially, with the outfit that he had picked out for the day. A t-shirt, jeans, and worn out sneakers.

While this place was much more upscale. So much so that made Ainsley feel like a loser.

While Aziraphale and Crowley didn't seem to feel out of place at all. In fact, they seemed to be pretty at ease. Which made him wonder how many times either of them had been there. Pushing this to the side, Ainsley asked,"So. Why are we here again?"

"Oh, the crêpes here are positively scrummy and we thought you might enjoy them.",Aziraphale answered. That sounded a little sweet. But Ainsley wasn't entirely sure if that was wise. As this place was much more upscale than what the nephalem was comfortable with. And he could easily just make that food at his home. Well, the Americanized version of it at the very least. It still would be pretty much the same thing. Very thin pancakes with creme. Or whatever they put on them. Ainsley nodded his head slightly as he said,"That's sweet. But I'm not sure if I need this type of food."

"I mean, this place is very upscale and well...I'm not entirely dressed for it.",he added softly. Flushing slightly as he glanced around at the well-dressed folks near him. Not to the nines but enough to make him look like a slob. Crowley tilted his head in a way that suggested he was rolling his eyes. Letting out a soft sigh and in a firm tone he pointed out,"Neither am I. But you don't see the wait-staff throwing me out over it now do you?"

Which was true. Crowley wasn't dressed to the nines either. But none of the wait-staff really seemed to pay attention to this. Or even all-together care. Yet, for some weird reason, it really seemed to be eating at Ainsley. Despite knowing intellectually that it was silly, he still felt out of place. Though he did his best to push that feeling down, Ainsley answered,"I suppose you've got a point. It's just hard to feel less than silly around so many well-dressed folks."

"I kind of feel like I stick out like a sore thumb.",he added. Crowley merely nodded his head in agreement. Understanding how he felt but not particularly caring if that's what others thought. They were dressed, how they were dressed. If other people didn't like it. Well, they didn't have to look at them. Putting this aside, Crowley asked,"So aside from being a super-powered being, what do you do for a living?"

"At the moment, I work as a cashier in a department store.",Ainsley answered. It wasn't a classy or flashy job but he liked it. Seeing people behind a register was enough interaction for him. Well, enough interaction with the public. Ainsley did enjoy the company of one human being. Even if Ms. Vega was a little pushy at times. Putting this aside, he continued,"Not the most glamorous job in the world but it pays the rent."

"How did you meet Ms. Vega?",Aziraphale questioned. The angel had met her on her trip to his book shop. Which was around three or so years ago. He couldn't entirely remember. But it had been a bit ago. Ainsley answered,"She saw me fall off my roof the first month I moved in."

"Like she was coming over with some food to welcome me to the neighborhood and well...",he trailed off. Feeling silly for admitting that he fell off his roof once. And didn't really want to go into the reason why he was up there. Which he promptly told the men when they looked like they were about to ask. His face flushing slightly as he toyed with the napkin near him. All of them kept quiet the instant their food arrived but kept the conversation going when the waiter was out of earshot. Ainsley stated,"She's been stuck to me like glue after that. I think she might've unofficially adopted me once she realized I have no family."

"She hasn't asked, so I think she thinks I'm an orphan or something.",Ainsley added. Which would be a fair assumption. A perceived young man alone in a country far from the one he came from? What else would he be? At least that's what he assumed. As Ainsley hadn't ever asked her what she thought of him. And he was grateful that she never pried too much into his 'family'. Ainsley started eating his food as quietly as possible while the men watched. Soon as he took a bite, he realized why they liked these. And knew full well that he couldn't have been able to make these at home. Smiling slightly as he continued to eat the bought food. Crowley asked,"So what do you like to do in your spare time?"

That surprised him a little bit. As Ainsley hadn't anticipated them wanting to know his hobbies. So Ainsley answered,"Well, I like to read sometimes and I've been really into astrology."

"My favorite kind of books are books on stars.",he continued. Books on the stars, galaxy, and cosmos were his favorite things. It was one of the reasons he painted a galaxy on his ceiling. Along with having galaxy themed sheets.

Crowley was a little surprised by this. He expected the reading part but astrology? The young man didn't really seem like the type. Instead of pointing this out, Crowley asked,"Really? What other kinds of books are you into?"

"I like to read and experiment with baking books.",Ainsley stated. Mostly experimenting since he liked the way it made his house smell. Sometimes these experiments would go pretty well. Other times his home would be full of smoke. Or the food would come out, not that great. With a small smile, he continued,"It's been a ton of fun and I've been bringing some of my experiments into work."

"Lots of my co-workers love it.",Ainsley added. Which made Aziraphale's interest pique a little bit. The angel was almost tempted into asking Ainsley for something. Such as a batch of biscuits or a cake. But decided against it. Since he felt it would be rude to ask someone he barely knew. Aziraphale just nodded his head politely as he finished his food. Politely wiping his mouth with the napkin. An action that Ainsley mimicked without really thinking. At least, that's what Aziraphale chose to believe. Finding it slightly adorable that Ainsley was mimicking his actions at all. While Crowley rolled his eyes under his glasses. Clearly not finding it as adorable as Aziraphale did.

"So what about you guys? What do you guys normally do for fun?",the nephalem asked. Curious as to what the men did in their spare time away from each other. Guessing that the angel probably just read, which was confirmed to be true, he wondered what the demon did. Vaguely guessing that Crowley might enjoy painting or dancing. Or even just drinking wine on the weekends. Since the lanky redhead seemed the type to enjoy a nice glass of wine with a noir film. What Crowley said next surprised him. The demon answered,"I have several plants that I like taking care of."

That made the angel snort as he drank his wine. Earning him what possibly was a glare from Crowley. Aziraphale set his glass down as Ainsley asked,"What's so funny?"

"Taking care of might be the wrong way to put it.",Aziraphale explained. Then the angel proceeded to tell the nephalem about Crowley's plants. Crowley didn't just take care of these plants. The demon put the fear of God into them. Well actually put the fear of Crowley into them. Either way, the plants were terrified. Saying that they shivered in their pots whenever he so much as sneezed in their direction. Ainsley raised an eyebrow at this confession. Trying to imagine a bunch of houseplants somehow shivering in fear of the demon. Nearly laughing at that image as he tried to eat his food. Almost failing as his shoulders shook slightly.

Putting down the fork, Ainsley asked,"Can I see your plants?"

Both men looked at him utterly confused and the nephalem explained himself. Saying that he wanted to see this for himself. See if the plants are just as scared of Crowley as Aziraphale insisted. The demon started to protest but Ainsley decided to pout slightly. Giving him a pleading look as he begged,"Pleeeease Crowley? I just want to see what they're like."

"I bet they're really lovely.",the nephalem added. Hoping that sucking up slightly would lighten Crowley's mood. And it seemed to work as the demon gave a soft sigh. Nodding his head in agreement with a hint of a smile. Nearly making the nephalem cheer as he hurried to finish his food. Crowley warned,"Don't wolf down your food. My plants aren't going anywhere and we don't need you accidentally eating that fork."

Ainsley rolled his eyes but did as Crowley insisted. Not wanting to cause any problems or make Crowley change his mind. As he really wanted to see what the plants were like. And once he was done, Crowley put down some money. Which almost made him take his wallet out. When he reached for the pocket it was in, Aziraphale stated,"Oh, you don't have to pay. It was our treat."

"Are you sure? I don't want to take advantage here.",Ainsley questioned. Still reaching to his pocket to reach for his wallet. Gripping it gently before Crowley shook his head. In a gentle voice, Crowley stated,"We're very sure. Now do you want to see the plants or not?"

And with that, Ainsley followed the men out to Crowley's car. Getting into the back seat of it and buckling up. Aziraphale got into his normal seat and quickly buckled up before Crowley peeled out. Causing both men to quietly pray that he wouldn't crash. While the trio of men drove off, a trio of women pulled up. All of them hoping to find the nephalem that they just missed.
