It was the annual Ministry Ball, the event where all influential people in the British Magical community get together to socialize and have a chance to form connections for the improvement of one's station.

Harry Potter could care less. He'd rather be at their home together with their twins basking in the Yule season glow.

Sadly, Harry Potter had to attend this year's ball since Kingsley, Minister of Magic, requested his presence to boost and garner support for the Ministry's plan to incorporate more Muggle technology and attract more Technomage. So, Harry was now standing and being civil with various people with Daphne on his side doing Merlin's work of talking to them.

Truth be told, Harry could've denied it and helped in other ways rather than attending the ball. The JP Research Institute of Magic was one of the businesses that Harry had and had several Technomages incorporating Muggle Technologies in the magical community. The Ministry wanted Technomages within their own rather than partnering with Harry's private business.

The real reason why they were attending the annual Ministry Ball was to support a family. Specifically, the newly minted Malfoys— Draco and Astoria— and put a statement that House Potter-Black was now in alliance with House Malfoy, through their wives— House Greengrass.

Little Old Politics. Harry thought as he nodded at what Daphne said with a smile. Daphne was such a natural at these functions. She would enter a room and all the people would flock to her, intently listening to every word she says. Harry loved the way her voice sounded when talking about her new achievements. For someone called Ice Queen at Hogwarts, his wife was so full of passion that it radiated around her. Just being near her like this was enough to warm him.

From his peripheral vision, he could picture the couple they were here for. Daphne also noticed since she excused themselves from people she was talking to.

Lord and Lady Malfoy came in with practiced grace and elegance. Fitted with dark green robes that were made up of the finest Acrumantula silk the Malfoy crest proudly stood on their robes.

Harry with his hands on Daphne's waist approached them. People began whispering and talking to each other. Probably creating another exaggerating rumor to satiate their curiosity. As soon as the two were near enough, Harry and Draco shared a simple shaking of hands with pleasantries.

Their wife on the other hand had different ideas.

"Pottah!"

"Mawlfoy!"

The two women called each other mimicking the way their husbands would call each other back in their Hogwarts days.

Both Harry and Draco cringed and looked at their wives who were now giggling with each other while covering their mouths with their hands.

"Morgana! I waited so long for that Daph!" Astoria chuckled as Daphne composed herself as she eyed Harry and Draco who were now both wearing a reddish hue— Harry opting to look at the floor while Draco decided the wall at the right was the most interesting thing since Merlin.

"Oh, but their reactions are worth the wait!" Daphne gushed and she and her sister arm in arm walked to the refreshments table chuckling with each other and talking about other things.

"I didn't think it would bite us back in that way" Draco commented as he and Harry slowly followed their wife.

"Well, Tori certainly did a good job imitating how you sounded like," Harry said as he picked a champagne flute from a levitating tray.

"Like what?" Draco said as he grabbed his own. Harry smirked as the rim of the flute was in his mouth.

"Like a ferret" Harry replied and drank his champagne. Draco on the other hand almost choked on his. He glared at Harry before taking a sip on his flute.

"Salazar's bloody arse, let go of the ferret joke already, Potter!" Draco whisper-shouted to not draw attention from people. Harry just chuckled as he continued sipping his flute.

"You know, I won't ever let go of it, Malfoy" Harry quipped smirking at his brother-in-law. Draco for his part actually smirked as he faced Harry.

"No need to be so rash, oh, brother-in-law of mine" Draco teased back. Harry gritted his teeth as he gave a forced smile to Draco. Despite being brother-in-law with Draco for already half a year already he still couldn't help but cringe when the two of them were referred to as such.

Harry was about to say something when Kingsley approached them. Both he and Draco spun and turned to face the minister with a curt bow.

"Minister Shacklebolt" the two simultaneously greeted the Minister. Kingsley on his part chuckled in amusement to the two.

"It's good to see you two brother-in-law's bonding. Not many share such bonds" Kingsley commented and was even more amused at the noticeable forced smile the two showed.

"Bloody Hell" the two muttered as they looked around in search of their wives.

It has been two days since the kids returned to Hogwarts. Cyril and Scorpius finished their 1st year while the twins finished their 4th year. As per tradition since the twins started Hogwarts, they would have dinner at the Greengrass Manor after their first dinner with the family.

Harry stepped out of the floo and stumbled on the living area of Greengrass manor. He wandlessly cleaned the soot from his shirt and on Cyril who was waiting for him. He could hear running steps and already knew who it was.

He turned and saw his nephew who had pale blonde hair and grey eyes, he looked like a mini-Draco Malfoy if not for his gentler features and kinder expression (Thank Merlin, Astoria's genes pulled through! Harry thought). Which was followed by his father.

"Pottah!"

"Malfoy!"

If they were drinking something, Harry and Draco would've spat their drinks. Their head whipped to their sons who wore matching mischievous smiles before laughing. They could hear other laughter behind and saw their respective wife, the twins, and Lily looking amused.

"Oh, come on" Draco groaned as Harry massaged his temple.

"I think that joke has lived its time so time to drop it," Harry said and clapping his hand.

"I don't think so, Harry" Daphne quipped with a mischievous look.

As soon as Daphne said that Cyril started walking quickly with a mischievous grin to the dining room of the manor.

"Last one at the dining hall is a snake turd," He said, Scorpius followed soon calling out his cousin, "Pottah!"

Another set of laughter filled the room and slowly walked back to the hall. The two men just shook their heads with a smile. As long as their family was happy then they could endure a few pokes here and there.

Harry slowly walked together with Malfoy. A mischievous smile that looked exactly like his son adorned his face as he turned his attention to Draco.

"Let's go Malfoy, like my son said, the last one in the dining hall is a snake turd" Harry teased and started running in its direction.

"Oi Potter! You cheating git!" Draco called as he ran to catch up with Harry.

hello~

So I remembered that one fanart where Harry and Draco's wife each called themself "Pottah" "Malfoy" and thought it would be great if Daphne and Astoria used it. This was also spurned by a guest who suggested some Draco and Harry banter, hope you like this and that dynamic will always be there in future chapters. I think its more considering they're sisters and would probably use that stunt to annoy their husbands. Passing it to their kids, the cousin, was also a fun idea for me. I hope you had fun as I had fun with this. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you are having a great day!
