Chapter 3 "Old Friends"
"D@NnY, d0Y0u ReMeMbEr Me?"
The words were written in red, the font not entirely decided as the words flashed by the edge of his screen. Someone was private messaging him. Danny looked at the participants and saw his username, along with a string of letters he didn't understand. Against his better judgement, he replied.
"Should I?" A familiar fear struck him, he was anxious and curious.
"Y0uD0n'T rEmEmBeR Me? We UsEd To Pl@Y t0gEtHeR."
Danny squinted his eyes, his room was a bit dark since it was the evening after he'd apparently been possessed. He remembered blonde hair and red eyes on a boy a bit taller than him, laughing at him.
"It's Ben, right?" Danny typed, seeing a thumbs up emoji appear on the screen.
"Y0U rEmEmBeR!" He could sense the excitement in the message and he smiled slightly, thinking of the boy he remembered from his childhood. He gasped suddenly, looking around in surprise as a blue mist left his lips, he shivered at the cold that nipped at his skin and he hugged himself, not expecting the chill to run up his spine.
"Boo!" Danny jumped back, yelling in surprise. Thankfully, his parents were out of the house so they couldn't hear him. He blinked, meeting the ruby red eyes of his old gaming companion. He was surprised, seeing the blond elf lean out of his tv screen, his elbows propped up on his desk.
"Hey Danny Boy!" Waving, the ghost climbed out of his computer, he looked down at his friend, who had fallen onto the floor thanks to his own clumsiness.
"Ben, why are you here?" Danny asked as he sat up, he rubbed his head and groaned a little, he recognized the green hoodie and khaki pants he wore, confused since he wasn't wearing shoes. They'd stayed in touch often and usually played games together, but it had been a while since he visited.
"So, you know how you were shocked with the portal last week?" Ben asked, a static like and echoing effect to his voice as he floated up into the air, hovering over the desk and watching as Danny sat down at his desk chair, spinning slowly. The raven haired teen shrugged and nodded, it was weird to think about it. He told his parents that he'd managed to fix it but didn't really elaborate further, he was relaxing since it was the weekend and didn't really want to think about what had happened. Without noticing, his legs turned intangible and he fell further into his seat, getting stuck.
"Slendy asked me to help you out, and by the looks of it, you need my help kid." Ben said with a laugh, picking Danny up by his arms and setting him back down on his seat once his legs turned tangible again.
Danny scoffed and crossed his arms, scowling. "Yeah..."

They spent almost the entire day practicing Danny's powers, mostly trying to keep him from randomly turning intangible. He quickly got the hang of floating and Ben had to chase him around the house to get him to actually focus. Still, it was fun to connect with old friends and they planned to make their meetings a weekly occurrence, that way there could be more practice with the things Danny struggled in, along with a break of course.
[So I apologize for the small chapter, this is currently filler and I'm working on building up to some special moments. I've also been busy with school and mental health, so I apologize for taking a while to update.
If you guys have any feedback, please feel free to share in the comments. Have a lovely day and a lovely holidays as this is being posted in December. Still, make sure to stay hydrated and eat food, take off any binders or Packers after a while of wearing them so you don't hurt yourself too! Thank you for reading and enjoying the story!]
