Chapter 3 —

It seemed to not stop, the band reflecting both Kara and Sams horrified faces before…..

Kara reached out and swatted it with her super speed before covering the sink hole with her hand. She could feel Sam glaring at her so she made sure not to look at her while she handed the ring back sheepishly. "You are so lucky Kara Danvers," Sam told her seriously. Kara bit her lip.

"Sorry," she offered, giving Sam an innocent looking smile. Sam huffed but Kara could see a smile on her face. "Soo, when are you on going to ask her?" Kara asked excitedly.

Sam then looked nervous. "I was thinking tonight. She is at the DEO until half ten so I was thinking of setting this place up nice," Sam placed the ring back in the box and stuffed it in her pocket. "I was wondering if you and Lena could look after Ruby tonight," she asked.

Kara nodded. "Yeah, of course. I would love to hang out with my niece!" Sam gave her a hug before walking off to tell Ruby.

CADMUS BASE

LOCATION: UNKNOWN

Lillian glared at the paper. The picture was of her daughter being caught kissing Kara Danvers after a press conference. "Hmph, my daughter is dating the Kryptonian. How …stupid of her," scoffed Lillian. She knew her daughter had a girlfriend but she now knew whom it was she was dating. "Although, this could work in my favor. Hmm," Lillian thought. She originally wanted to do her plan because they had something she wanted however this could play out better than she thought.

"Miss Luthor," a man said as he came to the door. "All the men you wanted are all trained and they know their orders. All we need to do is get her on her own," he said. Lillian grinned and placed the paper the down.

"Brilliant!"

Supergirl shot onto the scene and through inside the building. All the lights were off and it was dead silent. The type of silent you're wary of in a film. Like, when the character is walking through their house in pitch black with a torch and then suddenly a freaking zombie thing pops out of nowhere.

That's what it felt like.

Kara shuddered and carried on flying at a low speed as she tried to keep an ear out for something.

"Tell me who Supergirl is," she heard a deep voice rumble. "Tell me and I may spare your pathetic lives and allow you to live on this miserable planet," she heard the DEO Agent tremble and try to get out the aliens hold.

"N-no! I will not betray her trust. Or Agent Danvers'," he said that bit to himself and despite the situation, Kara smiled. She zoomed off and grabbed a wooden plank from the floor and hswhacked it on the aliens head. He fell with a thud and the Agent scrambled to stand up before shooting the alien in the shoulders. "Take that you big ugly basturd," Kara rolled at his word manipulation.

He looked sheepish and mumbled out, "I'd hate to swear infront of a beautiful woman," he went red.

"Oh dear Rao," Kara said in Kryptonian. She sent him a smile though. He seemed to snap out of his trance though and start frantically searching for something. "What?"

"My team," he said quickly, the agent looked in every corner to see if he could find a hidden door or something. After all, where do you hide twenty-odd people?

Kara used her super hearing and listened out. All she could hear was this guys rapid heart beat and some of the Agent's outside. She walked over and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry," she said, them words being enough, the man's face hardened and he shrugged her hand off before walking inside. Looks like the next thing he's doing is going to therapy.

Sam made a mental count:

Ring – Check

Empty house – Check

Alex still at DEO – Check

Kara's blessing – Double Check

Eliza's blessing — Not.. yet.. ticked

Sam groaned. She didn't want to call Alex's mom. Why was it you can have an amazing relationship with your partners mother but as soon as you want their child's hand in marriage it's hard to talk to them. Is it because marriage is you basically signing your life away? What is marriage going to mean exactly? It's basically still being Girlfriend/Girlfriend apart from there are signed bits of paper and a ring along with vows people break every day.

Sam shook her head. No. It was the feeling. It was how it felt when you say the two words 'I do' in front of your friends and family. It's getting all dressed up watching the bride or- or whoever it is walk down the isle with a huge grin on their face while music is played.

Sam grabbed her phone and dialled Eliza's number (yes she memorised it, she works with numbers, it's possible.) and waited for the older women to answer. "H-hello?" Sam said when she heard Eliza answer.

"Oh. What a pleasant surprise. How are you Samantha?" Eliza asked. Sam felt her throat close up and she couldn't speak. "Sam?"

"W- well. Iwantyourblessingtomarryyourdaughter," she pushed out in one breath. Eliza let out a laugh.

"Repeat that again sweetie? I don't think you said it fast enough,"

"Well done Supergirl!" Alex praised as her sister walked into base. Kara grinned and jogged over to her. "What's got you so excited?"

Kara halted in her jogging and back peddled slightly. "Wha-what? No. I'm not excited- Well I am but it's to see you. How are you and Danvers Jr?" she asked with a grin. Alex raised her eyebrow.

"Okay one, we are both fine… and two you're lying," Alex walked by and poked Kara's crinkle.

"I want to say ow because I know you were trying to hurt me so I want to give you the satisfaction …but that did not hurt at all. It tickled," Kara said with a straight face. She turned around just as Alex mumbled: "That makes one of us," and walked off.

Kara grinned; now that was funny.

Alex got in and saw that candles littered the place, soft music was playing in the background "Babe?" Alex let out a little scream as she saw Sam kneeled down to the side; a small box in her hands. "What. The. Hell…" she whispered.

"Alex… you one of the best things that has happened to me. You're carrying our child. You help me with Ruby, despite the way she treats you sometimes. I am in love with you and I can't see myself ever spending time away from you. I am so glad that I moved to National City.

When I moved, I didn't think I would have time for relationships. With me working for Lena as her CFO and Ruby. But then you and Kara visited Lena one night and invited us both to game night. And we grew close. And- and I knew I wanted to live the rest of my life with you. So, I already asked Mama Danvers and I'm pretty sure Kara is more excited than me — which is unbelievable *Alex let out a nervous laugh*. Alexandra Danvers.. will you marry me?"
