And here we go with part II. Enjoy!

Guest: Stick around and you might get what you're looking for

ShootToMiss: Firstly, thank you for helping me reach 200 reviews on TDL. I really appreciate it. Secondly, I can guarantee you that at least one of your ideas will be covered in a future story.

Amit: That would've been hella awkward.

Sanders opened the door and Duncan stepped inside. As his girlfriend went to put her coat away, he scanned his surroundings. It was warm, so he took off his jacket and wrapped it around his waist. Many people were sitting in chairs, talking to each other. Others were waiting in line or placing their orders. The room was a decent size, but looked a lot smaller with all the people inside.

He was relieved no one was looking at him.

"Let's get in line." Sanders said, grabbing his hand and pulling him along.

That had done it. Duncan saw a few heads turn. Once they saw him and Sanders, it immediately clicked. As he got on line, he could hear the whispers.

"So Mikayla really is dating a guy who went to jail? I thought it was just for show."

"They make a cute couple though."

"About time Mikayla brought someone home."

While he knew they weren't bad mouthing him, Duncan still felt a little awkward. Sanders looked at him and noticed what was wrong. She quickly turned around and shot a glare at some of the whispering patrons. They, in turn, looked away and the murmuring stopped.

"Thanks," Duncan said quietly.

Sanders smiled at her boyfriend. They noticed the opening, in front of them, and stepped towards the cashier.

The blonde woman behind the counter was putting some extra change into the register, so hadn't seen them yet. "Welcome to HoneyComb, how can I-" she looked up. "Oh, hey Mikayla, can I get you the-" she let out a loud gasp once she locked eyes with Duncan.

"Oh, no." he heard his girlfriend mumble.

The blonde barista practically leapt over the counter at the Ex-Con. "Ohmygod. It's actually you. You're actually here. Is this your first date?" Her eyes went wide. "Holy crap, it is your first date. I need to get my camera."

"Emily." Sanders snapped. "I specifically told you not to act like this."

"I-I know, I just…" Another barista walked by. "...I, uh…" She suddenly stopped the man in his tracks. "Wait, Hunter." She tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at the couple.

Hunter didn't seem to take much notice, until he saw who Sanders was with. He, too, let out a gasp and stopped another barista. Duncan watched in both confusion and amusement as, one by one, every barista behind the counter stared at him.

Sanders let out a light groan and cupped her hands over her face. Duncan struggled to hold in a laugh and thought about making a joke, but when he saw the embarrassed state of his girlfriend, he decided against it.

"Hey," he said to Emily. "We're here to eat. Can you take our order already?" His blunt statement was met with a light gasp and more murmuring. Duncan had another idea. "You know? This is our first date. And right now, it's not going so well." He put his hands on the counter and glared at them. "Do any of you really want to be the reason our first date isn't a success?"

Nearly all of the baristas covered their mouths. It was as if Duncan was talking pure blasphemy. Everyone, except Emily, went back to working. The blonde cashier looked like she was on the verge of a panic attack. "No, of course not, I'm sorry. Please don't- please have an amazing first date."

Duncan smirked with triumph. He felt a light bump on his arm.

"Thanks." Sanders smiled.

The Ex-Con shrugged. "I owed you one."

The two stared at each other, before being interrupted. "Aww...didn't he used to say that to you-" Emily stopped when she noticed the glares she was receiving. "Sorry...can I take your order?"

"I'll have my usual." Sanders answered. She turned to Duncan. "What about you?"

The green haired delinquent looked at the menu. He also felt a hush fall over the room. As if his order was the biggest thing to ever happen in this town. "I...guess I'll have the eggscellent sandwich…" Loud whispers followed this, but they quieted once they realized Duncan wasn't finished. "...and a little bit of...sriracha on it?" Quiet cheers could be heard. Duncan turned his head slightly, noticing all the approving nods from the patrons. He even saw one guy hand a girl 20 bucks.

"Thank you," Emily smiled. "We'll call your name when it's ready."

"I'll be with you in a sec," Sanders said to Duncan. She pointed to a relatively crowded area. "There should be a table for us, over there, near the window."

Duncan gave a confused look, but shrugged and headed over.

Once he was out of ear shot, Sanders turned to Emily. "If I find anything sappy written on my coffee cup, or a heart drawn with sriracha on his sandwich, Macarthur and I are permanently eating at Reggie's."

Emily gasped. "What?! But his coffee is mediocre, at best."

"True. But Reggie also knows how to mind his own business."

The blond waitress groaned, like a toddler on the verge of throwing a tantrum. "Oh...fine. You cops are no fun, at all."

Sanders smiled, as she headed towards her boyfriend. "I don't know. I thought that was pretty fun."

Sanders made her way towards her boyfriend. A few people, in front of her, dispersed and she found him sitting at the table near the large window.

He still seemed puzzled. "So, did you reserve this table, or what? This doesn't seem like a place to do those kinds of things."

Sanders took her seat across from him. "No, not really."

"So, what? Is this your designated spot or something?"

The Cadet shrugged. "Kinda. When we decided we'd make this place our go-to, Macarthur kinda made this our table." She chuckled. "It's funny. Ever since then, she developed a sixth sense whenever people sit in her seat. Literally, she ran six blocks just to remind someone that they were sitting in her spot."

Now Duncan seemed uneasy again. He looked out the window. "Is...so is she gonna pop up behind this window or something?"

Sanders snickered. "No, no, you're good. She knows why you're sitting in her seat."

"Of course she does," Duncan muttered. He glanced to the side. The cafe was still fairly crowded and he noticed a number of people looking at him and whispering. A thought suddenly struck him. He turned to his girlfriend. "Ok, I gotta ask. You don't find it weird that you live in a town where everyone knows who you are?"

"Not really. I have a support system and I never feel like I'm alone."

"No, I mean...they know about you and the shows you've been on. They know about us...and you don't even find that a little creepy?"

The Cadet gave a soft smile. "I get what you mean. I guess I'm just used to it. My Dad and I moved here when I was little and, since I wanted to be a cop, he taught me that the most important thing I could do was try to establish a connection with everyone. So...I guess them knowing about us, doesn't really bother me. I'm sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable. I'll try talking to them next time."

Duncan looked at his girlfriend. He'd never say it to her face, but he loved how aware she was of his feelings. "Nah, it's ok. I'm just gonna have to get used to it, I guess. I'm probably making it sound worse than it actually is." The two smiled at each other.

Eventually, Sanders felt like changing the topic. "So, how's your job been?"

The Ex-con immediately perked up. "Oh, it's been great. I get to be around all these awesome cars and take them apart, put 'em together and...actually, I never told you about the Mustang."

"What about it?"

"My boss gave me the weekend off, only if I could fix that car."

Sanders felt herself smiling. "So, you're telling me you had to work hard to get this weekend with me?"

"Pretty much."

The Cadet blushed. That was easily the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her. She didn't want him to stop. "So, what exactly was wrong with it?"

She saw the glimmer return to his eyes. "Alright, so this thing is old, right? Hasn't run in years. First I figured something was wrong with the engine. So I took it out and started taking things out," He was acting it out with his hands. "So I took out the pistons, the spark plugs, even the crankshaft. But I couldn't find anything. So, then I figure, it must be the axle. But then I realize…" As Duncan went on, Sanders stared, absolutely enamored. Truth be told, she had no idea what he was talking about, but she loved hearing him talk about something he cared about. "...and the look on my boss' face when I got it running was priceless." Duncan finished. He finally noticed his girlfriend's expression. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Sanders sighed. "I guess I just love hearing you talk."

The Ex-Con smiled. "Thanks babe. I do have a pretty sexy voice, don't I?"

The Cadet burst into laughter. "That's not...that's not what I meant."

"I know, I know." Duncan waited for her to calm down.

"Alright, I think I'm good." Sanders wiped away a tear. "Let's change the subject. You talked to anyone since leaving the show?"

"Yeah, actually. DJ actually invited me to his cat cafe last week and Geoff and I are trying to find a time to go bar hopping."

"What about Gwen and Zoey?"

"Oh, yeah, Gwen and I talked last week. She and Courtney are close to celebrating their eight month anniversary."

Sanders gasped. "Eight months? That's amazing."

"Yeah…" Duncan gave a small smile. It soon fell though, as he let out a light groan. "Zoey, on the other hand, has been relentlessly annoying." Sanders raised an eyebrow curiously. "She wants us to go on a double date with her and Mike."

The Cadet stared. "Why is that a bad thing?"

"Because the idea of going on a double date with them is awful. Mike's fine, but Zoey is insufferable. She'd want to take a group photo every ten minutes or would want to do something weird, like randomly run through an open field, or jump into a fountain."

"I thought you and Zoey were friends."

Duncan gave her a weird look. "Of course we are. She's my best friend. Doesn't mean I have to like everything she does."

"Of course it doesn't." Sanders chuckled. "Alright, question. If you had to choose, would you rather have a double date with them, or with Gwen and Courtney?"

"Umm…" Duncan was clearly starting to panic, thinking of an answer. "Uhhh…" He turned his head. "I-I think they're calling your name."

Sanders glanced over. Sure enough, Emily was waiting at the counter, with a cup and a sandwich in a bag. She chuckled and got up. "Try to give me an answer by the time I come back."

Duncan gave a nervous smile as she walked away.

Sanders went up to the counter. Emily stood on the other side, looking noticeably calmer. "How's your date going?"

The Cadet raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Why? You want some gossip material to share with everyone else?"

The blonde barista gave a pout. "I'm your friend, Mikayla. I want to know how my friend is doing on her first date." She sheepishly looked down. "...and the other baristas are getting desperate." She leaned towards the cadet and whispered. "Hunter literally said he'd cover all my next week shifts if I could get him something juicy."

Sanders stifled a laugh. She looked back at her boyfriend, who was looking at his phone. She then turned back to the pleading blonde. "Fine. Zoey's been trying to get him to go on a double date with her and Mike."

"Zoey's the red head chick, right?" Sanders nodded. Emily's eyes widened. "OMG. Are you going to do it?"

Sanders waved a finger. "I think that's enough juice. Now about my order?" Begrudgingly, Emily presented her with a wrapped sandwich and a coffee cup. The Cadet picked up the drink and scanned it. It had something written on it. "Reggie's coffee stinks?" She looked at her friend.

"Well, it does." Emily pointed. "And it's not sappy, so you have to eat here from now on. And there's no heart shaped thing of sriracha on his sandwich either."

Sanders took the sandwich and smirked. "Thank you, Emily." She teased. With that, she headed back towards her table.

Duncan looked up from his phone and smirked. "Gwen says hi."

Sanders took her seat. "Really? How does she know I'm with you?"

"I told her. She wants to know how the date is going. What should I tell her?"

The cadet gave an odd look. "Why does she want to know?"

"Probably because she's the one who got us together in the first place. I mean, without her, I probably wouldn't even be here." He snickered. "Maybe I should remind everyone about that and then invite her here. I'm sure she'd looooove the attention." He glanced down at his sandwich, then back to his phone. "Got to go," he said aloud as he typed out his message. "About to eat the 'greatest sandwich ever.' Talk later." He put his phone down and unwrapped his breakfast.

It was a scrambled egg sandwich with bacon, cheese and caramelized onions topped with a toasted brioche bun. He opened it up and, sure enough, he saw a few lines of sriracha on top of his eggs. He looked up at his girlfriend. "Looks good. You got any hot sauce?"

Sanders immediately spat out her drink. "What?!" She choked. "Y-you can't be serious."

"What? I want to add a little heat."

The Cadet coughed. "No, you...no. You already have sriracha on it. Adding hot sauce to this sandwich is like painting over the Mona Lisa."

Now Duncan was curious. The Mona Lisa? He thought. Geez, this thing must be good. He looked down at his sandwich. He had an odd feeling that someone was watching him again. Slowly, he turned his head. Not only was someone watching him, nearly everyone in the cafe had their eyes locked on him and his breakfast. Even the baristas stopped what they were doing.

The Ex-Con faced the sandwich again and decided to take a bite. For the second time, a hush fell over the room.

Sanders watched him chew, not really able to read his expression. "Well...what do you think?"

Duncan continued chewing, then swallowed. He stared at his girlfriend, then the sandwich, then the people watching them (who were just as anxious to know his answer).

He turned back to Sanders and shrugged. "Eh...it's ok."

A loud cry of gasps and groans echoed around them. This was followed by several whispering and hushed outcries.

"I can't believe it."

"What does she even see in him?"

"He must've lost his taste buds after going to prison."

The only person who wasn't upset was one dude with his hand in the air. An annoyed looking girl proceeded to hand him twenty bucks. The group shortly returned to their own conversations.

Sanders awkwardly looked at her boyfriend. "You think it's just ok? How-" She stopped once she realized something.

Duncan was trying his best not to burst out laughing. "Sorry, I had to do that. That was too funny."

Sanders blinked. "So...you like it?"

"Oh yeah. This actually might be one of the best things I've ever eaten. In fact," He got up from his seat. "I'm gonna order another one." He started heading toward the front counter.

"Another? But you haven't even finished the first."

"Hey, you told me this was a really good sandwich. You only have yourself to blame." And he walked away.

Sanders just smiled, and chuckled, to herself. I love that man.

Once they were finished with breakfast, Duncan and Sanders exited the cafe. The snow had subsided and it didn't feel as cold as it was earlier.

"Alright, you said we were going to a music store?" Duncan asked.

Sanders nodded. "It's only a couple blocks away. After that, there's a cool comic book store I can take you to."

Duncan gave an odd look. "I don't read comic books though. They're for nerds."

"I know a guy who specifically asked for you to come in. He has a lot of dark and violent stuff he only shows to certain people."

This seemed to intrigue the ex-convict. "Dark and violent, just my type." Then he thought of something and chuckled. "With all this planning, you're sounding a lot like Courtney."

Sanders looked at him curiously. "I sound like one of your ex-girlfriends? What are you trying to say?"

Duncan immediately realized his mistake. "Nononono, I meant that you-" He stopped. Sanders was now giving him a devilish smirk. It soon registered with the green haired delinquent what his girlfriend had just done. He nodded. "I taught you well."

The cadet blushed. Then she noticed their interlocked hands as they walked. Her eyes twinkled as she looked at him. "Hey," She said softly. "I know you'll probably think this is cheesy, but...I'm really happy you're here right now. I've been looking forward to this for a long time."

To Sanders' surprise, the ex-con pulled her hand towards his face and he actually kissed the back of her palm. "Same here."

The cadet felt like her heart was going to melt. She wished the weekend could last forever. This was easily the greatest she'd ever felt in-

"Hey, what's going on?"

Sanders snapped out of her trance. She looked over at Duncan, who was staring at something in front of them. The Cadet turned and was equally as surprised. They had just turned a corner to see a large group of police officers blockading the street.

"Did something happen before I got here?" Duncan questioned.

"I have no idea." Sanders answered. "Nobody's told me anything."

A couple officers were chatting, when they spotted the two. They cast suspicious glares at the ex-con and covered their mouths as they continued speaking. This made Duncan uneasy.

"Well, whatever the case, I don't know if I want to risk being recognized by some up-tight cop."

Sanders raised an eyebrow. "What makes you think any of these cops know who you are?"

"With a reputation like mine, it's not that uncommon."

The cadet nodded. "Alright, fair point. There's an alleyway we can go through. It might take longer, but we can still-"

"Well, well, well. What are the odds I would run into both of you?"

That voice immediately made Sanders' blood freeze. Noooooo. She panicked. Not today.

Duncan didn't seem to recognize who it was. Both slowly turned to see their interrupter.

Sure enough, much to her horror, it was exactly the person Sanders didn't want to run into.

It was Macarthur.

Ohohoho, what is going to happen next? Now that Macarthur has entered the picture, how will it affect the date? And why are all these cops here? Stay tuned.

Not a lot happened in this chapter, but I absolutely loved writing it. This was the one where I could really play with the idea of Danders dealing with a town full of fanboys and girls. Let me know what you think. Take care and I'll see you next time
